McCarthy's Giants opportunity offers greatest chance to salvage career after Minnesota bust.

McCarthy's resurgence with the Giants represents a significant career turnaround after being drafted 10th overall by Minnesota in 2024 and subsequently falling to third on their depth chart. The source notes McCarthy 'has perhaps the greatest chance to alter the trajectory of his career' after being shipped to New York. McCarthy himself credited a Week 14 win over Washington last season as a turning point, where he went 16-for-23 for 163 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions after missing time in concussion protocol, then won his final three starts before a hand injury.
