Big Blue View on J.J. McCarthy

McCarthy exceeded expectations in first start, matching Stroud with precise passing to Nabers and Fields.

McCarthy played much better than expected in his first start for the Giants, going toe to toe with C.J. Stroud by firing a collection of precise passes to Malik Nabers and Malachi Fields; the Giants ran for 188 yards, but McCarthy's performance itself should not be discounted, though he'll need to do it consistently to truly repair his reputation.
