Kittle 227 yards from 2nd in 49ers history; 2 TDs from tying 3rd; helped create Tight Ends Day.

Kittle could move up the 49ers record book in two significant categories in Week 7: he needs 227 receiving yards to pass Terrell Owens for 2nd in 49ers history (Owens holds 8,572 yards), and 2 receiving touchdowns to tie Gene Washington for 3rd in 49ers history (Washington holds 2). A massive game would be required to achieve these milestones. National Tight Ends Day would be a fitting backdrop for this level of performance, as Kittle helped create the holiday.
