Goff faces Minnesota's elite pass defense (No. 1 in advanced metrics, allowing 8.8 PPR points per game to QBs), but has offsetting factors: the Lions' abundant skill-position weapons (Jahmyr Gibbs, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, Sam LaPorta) make them difficult to contain; Goff's quick release should help against Minnesota's blitz-heavy approach; and he threw for 284 yards and 2 TDs when the Lions hosted the Vikings last year. Ranked just inside QB1 range.
