McCarthy has played well. He has shown tremendous arm talent. He has displayed maturity and likability. Getting a good season of play from McCarthy, then dealing him for more draft capital than they used to acquire McCarthy would be an outstanding outcome.

Positive signalProjection

McCarthy's strong play could net Giants more draft capital than they invested.

McCarthy has played five quarters and shown tremendous arm talent, maturity, and likability while giving the Giants a chance to run the offense as designed. The source believes it will take a lot to convince him the Giants will do anything other than try to flip McCarthy for more draft assets than the fifth-round pick used to acquire him, but getting good play from McCarthy before dealing him would be an outstanding outcome.
