Yahoo Fantasy Football on Ashton Jeanty

Jeanty relegated to passing role; no longer reliable RB2/3 despite PPR upside.

The source reports that Jeanty was relegated to strictly passing situations in Week 8 against the Jets, barely getting any ground work despite the Raiders' 71-point shootout victory. He saw only four targets and was trending toward a miserable week until a 45-yard screen catch. The source states that if this passing-only role continues, Jeanty is basically a receiver and will be tough to trust, as Kirk Cousins will favor Brock Bowers in the passing game. The source concludes Jeanty is no longer a reliable RB2/3 and is more of a risky option with upside in PPR formats, with his snaps and carries potentially limited even if he becomes more involved in the run game.
