Yahoo Sports NFL on Sione Vaki

Vaki earned 'a lot of trust' from Campbell with significant carries vs. Vikings.

Lions coach Dan Campbell challenged Vaki entering the Vikings game, stating he would need significant carries and pass protection work. Vaki delivered, earning Campbell's explicit praise: 'That's a huge step. He gained a lot of trust today, a ton.' Vaki was told earlier in the week his role would increase and felt prepared; he emphasized his focus on blitz pickup and aggression as a runner.
