Jahmyr Gibbs had little room to run, while Jared Goff had little time to throw... In the first half, the Vikings were bringing a ton of blitzes and crashing towards the line of scrimmage... Run more Iso plays up the middle against a weaker Vikings interior... I also think adding Sione Vaki to the running back rotation gave the Lions an extra wrinkle (and a breather for Gibbs too).

Gibbs struggled early but benefited from second-half run-game adjustments.

Gibbs had little room to run in the first half due to Vikings' aggressive blitz-heavy defense crashing towards the line of scrimmage; however, the Lions' second-half offensive adjustments under Drew Petzing—shifting to more iso plays up the middle and using tight ends in the backfield—created running lanes for Gibbs. The addition of Sione Vaki to the running back rotation also gave Gibbs a breather while maintaining offensive effectiveness.
