He's showing you all the things you want to see. I mean, like, I think that's the most important thing to me is that the purest talent as a passer is like fully on display. Like he's making four or five throws a game where you're just reminded of just as a pure thrower of the football, how incredibly talented he is.

Stroud elite through 5 weeks; top-3 QB play without full receiver arsenal.

CJ Stroud is playing at an elite level through five weeks. The source ranks him among the top 3-4 quarterbacks in the NFL this season, alongside Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, and Lamar Jackson. Stroud is showing pure talent as a passer, making 4-5 throws per game that remind viewers of his incredible ability. He's playing cleanly, processing quickly, and seeing things well. Notably, he's accomplished much of this without Nico Collins and Jaden Higgins for stretches. The source notes that before the season there was hemming and hawing about whether he was worth extending or if the Texans had a CJ Stroud problem, but his current play makes that seem silly in retrospect.
