TE Mike Gesicki scored a TD for the fifth straight game, but the bigger news is that his snap share (67%) and route share (72%) both jumped to season highs
STACKED’s take
Gesicki: 5th straight TD, season-high 67% snaps, 72% routes; All injury boosts ceiling.
Gesicki scored a TD for the fifth straight game and his snap share (67%) and route share (72%) both jumped to season highs after back-to-back games with route shares in the 40s. He put up 4-76-1 on six targets following a four-game stretch with four TDs on just 11 total targets. A pass-heavy game favored Gesicki over Drew Sample on some 11 personnel snaps, but he also picked up most of the playing time that had been going to Erick All, who suffered a season-ending injury in Week 7. In Sunday's game, Gesicki played 72% of snaps in 11 personnel (38% in Weeks 1-7) and 68% of snaps in 12 personnel (55% in Weeks 1-7). The source notes he probably won't hit those numbers most weeks, but the ceiling and floor both appear higher with All out of the picture.
