Brissett benched and dropped to third string after poor performance vs. Dallas.

Benched and demoted to emergency third-string quarterback after starting against Dallas and completing 10-of-23 passes for 119 yards and one interception. Head coach Mike LaFleur pulled him from the game in favor of Gardner Minshew, who led a comeback overtime win. Brissett's demotion raises questions about his future with the team past the Nov. 10 trade deadline, though LaFleur said the team was 'only focused on this week.' LaFleur acknowledged the difficulty of the decision but emphasized the need for 'a spark' and that the situation was 'not all on him' but 'collective.'
