Brissett benched after 2-5 start despite $15.5M extension; now Emergency QB3

Benched as Cardinals starting QB after 2-5 record through eight starts in 2026 (1,719 yards, 10/7 TD-INT ratio); decision came one day after leading Arizona to 33-30 OT comeback win vs Dallas. Despite signing one-year, $15.5M extension (up to $21M) in offseason following 1-11 2025 season with 3,366 yards and 23/8 TD-INT, Arizona's struggles persisted; now relegated to Emergency QB3 role behind rookie Carson Beck.
