Vaki's breakout performance helped Lions achieve historic rushing success against Vikings.

Vaki delivered a breakout performance against one of the best defenses in football; in the first half he ran through the Vikings' defense like dynamite, and in the second half he and Gibbs combined for 18 carries, 152 rushing yards (8.4 yards per carry), 143 yards after contact, 12 missed tackles forced, and six runs of 10-plus yards. The Lions totaled 230 rushing yards at 5.9 yards per carry—a combination no offense had accomplished against Minnesota in the Brian Flores era.
