McCaffrey receptions. I think that the angle is pretty easy, actually last year against Seattle, five, six and nine catches in those games... This is by design. This is Seattle's defense on purpose. They shut down the run game. They allowed the second fewest fantasy points to running back, but the most running back receptions.
STACKED’s take
McCaffrey's receptions escalate against Seattle's scheme that forces RBs into passing game.
McCaffrey receptions escalator against Seattle is a strong play; he's averaging 6 catches per game in his last 5 games against Mike McDonald's defense (5, 6, 9 catches in prior matchups). Seattle allows the most running back receptions in the league while allowing second-fewest fantasy points to RBs overall—a by-design defensive scheme. McCaffrey's snap count has ramped from 54% in first two games to 79% in last two. Niners receivers are injured (Kyle Juszczyk out), creating more slot opportunities. Seattle has allowed at least 4 RB receptions in all but 3 games this year and is already third in RB receptions allowed. Escalator targets over 4.5 catches (minus 116), 6+ catches (plus 166), and 7+ catches (plus 305).
