From the episode
Kaelin Black way back in week one. I actually was a little bit more, I didn't rank him this high because I wasn't expecting Christian McCaffrey to miss time. But the game that started out was like, hey, we might get some standalone value from Kaelin Black that we were wishing we were going to get week one because they have no receivers left.
STACKED’s take
Positive signalBreakout
Black offers standalone value with McCaffrey out; stash now to avoid emergency FAAB spending.
Jeremy Bernard notes he didn't rank Black this high initially because he wasn't expecting Christian McCaffrey to miss time; with McCaffrey sidelined and the 49ers having no receivers left, Black now offers standalone value. McCaffrey has lined up as a receiver in some snaps, but Black's role should expand. Bernard recommends stashing Black now rather than waiting, as emergency pickups later will require spending 95% of remaining FAAB budget.
