No. 1 pick; Raiders likely to start Cousins all season; Mendoza developing.

Mendoza, the No. 1 overall pick in April's NFL Draft, experienced growing pains during the Raiders' OTAs, particularly when playing under center. ESPN.com's Ryan McFadden reports the Raiders have been patient with the youngster's adjustment to the next level, having him play mostly with the second and third teams during OTAs and minicamp. He has impressed many in the building with his work ethic, leadership qualities, and ability to find open targets quickly. Ian Rapoport suggested the Raiders hope Cousins starts the entire season, although Mendoza can take over the starting job at some point if he picks things up quickly.
