Matthew Stafford is my quarterback seven, which is somehow a hot take right now. He's a quarterback 14 in ADP... despite just having an MVP season. 4,700 passing yards, 46 passing touchdowns... he couldn't get Puka or Cooper Kupp both at their full strength or healthy for the majority of the season. When last year we saw a Puka and Davante Adams really come together and like emerge.
STACKED’s take
QB7 ranking vs. QB14 ADP; healthy receivers and McVay scheme justify value
Ranked QB7 by Slater, currently QB14 in ADP and outside top-100 picks on ESPN, Yahoo, and Underdog despite a 2025 MVP season (4,700 passing yards, 46 passing touchdowns). Slater argues prior underperformance was driven by receiver health issues: Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp were not both healthy for most of the season before 2025. With both receivers healthy in 2025 and Sean McVay's new two/three tight-end offensive scheme producing "a bajillion touchdowns," Stafford's receiving corps is now fully aligned. Vegas line at 4,000 yards, top-5 offensive line ranking, and dome stadium advantage support the value thesis. In superflex leagues, getting Stafford at the bottom of QB1 rankings feels like strong value.
