Now, with DJ Moore out of the way, he's in Buffalo.

Mooney is going at the end of the fifth round and should see expanded opportunities in Year 2 of Ben Johnson's Bears offense now that Allen Robinson (who played heavily in the first half of 2025 and sidelined Mooney) and DJ Moore (traded to Buffalo) are out of the way. With both blockers removed, the offensive playmaking should be extremely condensed around Bears receivers including Mooney, Cole Kmet, and Robert Tonyan as Caleb Williams is expected to make a big jump in his second year.
