I actually do think he's going to outperform this quarterback 23 ranking...I just don't see a realistic world where Stroud is a top 12 quarterback when you look at how much the Texans are going to run the ball...I think he could get back to close to it and be a really nice value in like two quarterback leagues.
STACKED’s take
NeutralProjection
Stroud will beat QB23 ADP but limited ceiling due to Texans' run-heavy scheme.
The source ranks CJ Stroud at quarterback 23 and projects he will outperform this ranking, as he has beaten his ADP all three years of his career. However, the source sees a limited ceiling due to Houston's run-heavy approach, strong defense, and offensive line concerns. Even if the offensive line improves, Stroud is unlikely to reach top-12 territory. The source expects him to finish around quarterback 19, making him a value play in two-quarterback leagues but not a ceiling play.
