Baker Mayfield

PositiveValue39:49

Baker Mayfield dropped from quarterback seven ADP in 2025 to quarterback 19 in 2026 despite finishing as quarterback 12 last season while dealing with a sprained MCL and PCL from week two onward. The source views him as a bounce-back candidate and value pick, especially in two-quarterback, super flex, or best ball leagues. He retains rushing ability and was healthy enough to be a top-12 finisher despite injury limitations, making his current ADP a potential steal.

Insight page

Bo Nix

PositiveValue29:36

QB14 ranking; source describes him as "the year three quarterback I'm targeting at cost" and notes he's been QB7 the last couple of years, making him a value target when available late. Source is a "recovering Bo Lever" who now sees the disrespect in his pricing and wants to "get on the right side of history."

Insight page
NegativeProjection31:00

Ceiling is capped due to physical limitations; unlikely to finish top-3 or top-4 QB. However, could repeat QB7 finish. Broncos had fourth-ranked neutral pass rate last year; even if it falls with new offensive play caller, addition of Jalen Waddell should help counteract reduced volume.

Insight page

Brock Purdy

PositiveValue19:23

Tied for second in points per game last season among quarterbacks with 21.1 PPG; averaged 32 PPG in fantasy playoffs; finished first in touchdown rate in four NFL seasons and fourth overall; now available at QB12 ADP despite elite per-game production. The source calls him a "slam dunk" value pick and "league winner" if healthy, noting he has "not a shot in the world" of finishing lower than QB12.

Insight page
PositiveRole20:00

Receives significant offensive upgrades with Mike Evans trade acquisition (replacing Jawan Jennings); Christian McCaffrey provides elite receiving upside (would rank WR15 on air targets alone); also possesses sneaky rushing ability. The source emphasizes the 49ers offense now has "weapons, weapons everywhere" for Purdy.

Insight page

C.J. Stroud

NegativeProjection42:28

The source ranks CJ Stroud at quarterback 23 and projects he will outperform this ranking, as he has beaten his ADP all three years of his career. However, the source sees a limited ceiling due to Houston's run-heavy approach, strong defense, and offensive line concerns. Even if the offensive line improves, Stroud is unlikely to reach top-12 territory. The source expects him to finish around quarterback 19, making him a value play in two-quarterback leagues but not a ceiling play.

Insight page

Cam Ward

PositiveProjection42:01

The source ranks Cam Ward at quarterback 22 but believes he is significantly undervalued. Ward finished as quarterback 23 as a rookie despite throwing to limited weapons (Ileke Aminor, DK Metcalf, Calvin Ridley), and now enters year two with Wondale Robinson (1000-yard receiver) and Carnell Tate (number four overall pick) plus new offensive coordinator Brian Dayball. The source advocates for betting on Ward in super flex leagues as a year-two first-overall pick with dramatically improved receiving talent, though acknowledges his limited rushing upside (159 yards, 26th among QBs) may limit fantasy breakout translation.

Insight page

Dak Prescott

NegativeValue24:36

Last year's QB5 with unchanged weapons (CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, Jake Ferguson) now priced at QB9, up from QB13-14 early summer. Source moved down slightly due to ADP rise but notes "if healthy, this is about as safe of a floor as you're going to get." Comparable to Joe Burrow's 1A/1B receiver setup and weak defense situation.

Insight page
NegativeProjection25:51

Threw 600 passes last year; Cowboys improved defense at deadline and in offseason (free agency and draft), which could reduce pass volume and bring Dak back to earth as a non-rushing QB. However, source still ranks him as "easily the top pocket passer I want in fantasy" outside Joe Burrow.

Insight page

Drake Maye

PositiveValue4:15

Drake May is reasonably priced at ADP 57 for the third QB off the board, which is 20 spots later than the historical average ADP of 37 for the QB3 from 2021-2025. This represents good value given his QB2 finish last season and the addition of AJ Brown.

Insight page
PositiveProjection4:40

May finished as QB2 last season with only 450 rushing yards, suggesting significant upside for rushing production in 2026 or future years given his mobility. The addition of AJ Brown, the best receiver he's ever played with, further supports his top-five QB upside.

Insight page
PositiveValue5:10

The source considers May a value at his current ADP and does not mind taking him at cost, viewing his pricing as completely fair for a top-five QB in fantasy this season despite earlier concerns about potential regression.

Insight page

Jalen Hurts

PositiveValue10:00

Ranked QB6 but undervalued due to recency bias from 2025 Eagles' poor offensive performance; finished QB8 in 2025 despite the disastrous offense and will benefit from new offensive coordinator (replacing Kevin Petula), improved offensive line health, and addition of Makai Lemon. The source expects a much better year closer to 2024 production and positions Hurts as a league-winner value pick that home leagues will be disgusted by, available at a really good cost. Tush push remaining legal is a difference-maker for his rushing TD upside, where he leads the league in QB rushing attempts and TDs.

Insight page

Jared Goff

PositiveValue35:33

QB17 ranking; source feels like "a jerk" for ranking him this low. Second in both passing yards and touchdowns last year with unchanged weapons and situation. Vegas has him at highest passing yards line and third-highest passing TD line this season. Source considers him "Mr. Underrated" and would rank him above Dak Prescott if he had "any balls."

Insight page
NegativeProjection37:03

Last four years: QB9, QB6, QB7, QB10 finishes. Source considering long-shot MVP bet on Goff, noting his biggest issue would be narrative (hard to sell Goff as MVP). Could have "sensational season" but lacks MVP narrative appeal.

Insight page

Jayden Daniels

PositiveValue8:24

Jaden Daniels' ADP has dropped 38 spots from draft season last year due to his injury, creating a discount; the source views him as phenomenal value in the sixth round given his rookie QB5 overall finish and elite mobility/rushing production, though acknowledges the gap may have overcorrected from last year's overvaluation.

Insight page
PositiveProjection9:00

As a rookie, Jaden Daniels finished QB5 overall and led the NFL in scramble rate among quarterbacks, demonstrating elite mobility and rushing production that supports his value in the sixth round despite the injury setback.

Insight page
PositiveValue9:08

Sixth-round ADP represents a discount for a rookie QB who finished QB5 overall in 2024; led NFL in scramble rate (100+ dropbacks) and was second in rushing attempts among all QBs with 891 rushing yards (second behind Lamar Jackson), 3,500 passing yards, and 25 touchdowns. The source dismisses 2025 injury concerns as recency bias and emphasizes Daniels as an upper-echelon dual-threat QB whose disrespect needs to stop; if he bounces back as expected, he'll be overdrafted next year.

Insight page

Joe Burrow

PositiveProjection6:12

Burrow is among the top candidates to pass for 5,000 yards and 40 touchdowns, positioning him as a premier pocket-passing quarterback for fantasy football.

Insight page
PositiveProjection6:12

Burrow is positioned to pass for 5,000 yards and 40 touchdowns; he's a premier pocket passer paired with the best wide receiver duo in the NFL (Jamar Chase and Tee Higgins), and faces a third most difficult rushing schedule, forcing the Bengals to throw frequently. The source expects him to mirror or exceed his 2024 QB3 overall finish.

Insight page
PositiveValue6:46

Burrow is the exception to the rule against drafting pocket passers high in fantasy; he can be taken early because he is an elite passer in a situation that cannot be scripted better—great weapons and a putrid defense force the game script to throw the ball, enabling him to reach the 40+ passing touchdowns needed to compensate for lack of rushing production.

Insight page
NegativeRole7:21

If drafting Joe Burrow in the top four, the source advises stacking him with either Jamar Chase or Tee Higgins because the bet on Burrow is that he will be in a historically great passing offense; having one of those receivers ensures you capitalize on that offensive ceiling.

Insight page

Jordan Love

NegativeProjection40:44

The source ranks Jordan Love at quarterback 21 but expresses skepticism about his fantasy ceiling. Love is characterized as much better in real life than fantasy due to limited rushing volume compared to modern dual-threat starters. He requires 45+ hundred passing yards and 35+ touchdowns to reach quarterback one territory, but Green Bay has been bottom-six in pass attempts the last two years with Josh Jacobs in the backfield. The source finished him as quarterback 15 and 17 in recent years and sees no reason to expect Matt LaFleur to increase volume, making the ceiling too limited despite potential ADP value.

Insight page

Josh Allen

PositiveProjection0:39

Top-ranked QB for 2026; has been a top-two quarterback each of the last six years and won the QB position overall in four of those six years. Has not missed a game due to injury since his rookie year, giving him the safest floor and highest ceiling of all quarterbacks. Source notes he is probably drafted too late every year given how safe a pick he is and his difference-making ability at the position.

Insight page
NegativeValue1:37

May be drafted too late every year given his safety and production, though the only argument for not paying a premium price in early third round is that quarterback depth feels deeper than ever in 2026, with great values available late in drafts.

Insight page
PositiveProjection3:13

Allen's durability is a key differentiator from other top-tier QBs; he reliably plays 16-17 games per season and has never missed time due to injury, making him a dependable fantasy asset at the QB1 position.

Insight page

Kyler Murray

PositiveValue32:48

QB15 ranking; source's "single favorite late round quarterback to draft." Career-low rushing yards per game is 30; high is 51 per game. Healthy with best weapons and best offensive play caller (KOC) of his career; playing for his career as a starter. Source notes he's "never not been a quarterback one in points per game except for last season."

Insight page
PositiveRole33:20

Now in best situation of career with Kevin O'Connell (KOC), the "reclamation project king with quarterbacks." Weapons include Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, TJ Hawkinson, and Jawan Jennings. Source emphasizes this is "a star-studded roster" and Kyler "has never not been a quarterback one in points per game except for last season."

Insight page

Lamar Jackson

NegativeInjury3:08

Jackson has missed 14 games over the last five years due to injury, raising legitimate durability concerns that differentiate him from peers like Josh Allen.

Insight page
NegativeProjection3:20

There is concern that as Jackson ages, he may rush less, which is a huge part of his fantasy success. Last year was the first season since 2018 that he averaged under 50 rushing yards per game, dropping to 26.8 yards per game, signaling a potential decline in his rushing production.

Insight page
PositiveProjection3:35

Ranked number two and viewed as the only quarterback that could dethrone Josh Allen as QB1 without debate. Source emphasizes Lamar Jackson is 'unbelievably elite' and argues there is a very real case he should have three MVPs. He was the overall QB1 in 2024, just two years ago, and is now back healthy with new offensive coordinator Declan Doyle from the Ben Johnson coaching tree, with source saying 'the sky's the limit.'

Insight page
PositiveProjection3:39

Despite rushing yard concerns, Jackson remains very good and is worthy of being the second quarterback off the board if he stays healthy. He has an incredible passing resume, having led the league in passing touchdowns before and consistently ranking near the top of the league in multiple years, making him a complete quarterback.

Insight page
NegativeInjury5:02

Injury concerns are legitimate; has missed 14 games over the last five years due to injury, a very different story from Josh Allen's durability. This injury history is a key differentiator when comparing him to Allen despite his elite talent.

Insight page

Malik Willis

PositiveBreakout37:24

QB18 lottery ticket with elite small-sample metrics: highest EPA per play of any QB in NFL, highest scramble rate, 85.7% completion rate. Source compares upside to Justin Fields' 2022 Bears season (top-5 QB without elite passing). Strategy: Willis could finish as top-10 fantasy QB through rushing alone if benched, given his athleticism and game scripts favoring pass plays.

Insight page
PositiveUsage38:30

One of best athletes at QB position; expected to lead league in scramble rate due to Dolphins' weak pass protection and game scripts playing from behind. Will accumulate fantasy points whether throwing or scrambling; source "would not be surprised in the slightest if he leads the league in scramble rate."

Insight page
NegativeProjection38:32

The source projects Willis as a top-ten fantasy quarterback despite being a first-time true starter. The reasoning centers on his elite athleticism, expected high scramble rate due to poor offensive line and game scripts favoring pass plays, and dual-threat upside where he scores fantasy points whether throwing or running. Even in a disaster scenario, his late-round ADP allows for a low-risk exit after week three, while the upside is a season-long starter finishing as quarterback eight.

Insight page

Matthew Stafford

NegativeProjection34:00

Last year's QB3 now ranked QB16; source believes last year's finish is "not repeatable." Situation was "magical and perfect" with everything aligning; unlikely to throw for 50 TDs again. Expects regression to QB15 level (2024 finish). However, still valuable as late-round pairing with mobile QB like Kyler or Jackson Dart for safety.

Insight page
NegativeRole35:00

Statue in pocket with one rushing yard last year (matching his career Lombardi count). Cannot replicate last year's passing production without elite circumstances. Source notes he "transcends pocket passer" but lacks rushing upside, making high-end QB finish unlikely.

Insight page

Patrick Mahomes

PositiveProjection27:25

Ranked QB13, which source finds potentially disrespectful given his historical dominance. Despite missing three games with ACL tear, rushed for career-high rushing yards last year. All indications show strong rehab progress; expected to be 100% for Week 1. Source notes he "could be a league winner" once fully back up to speed by October.

Insight page
NegativeInjury28:00

Suffered ACL tear last season but all rehab reports are positive; expected to be 100% for Week 1. Source's main concern is whether mobility will return to pre-injury levels, as mobility in pocket and rushing are critical to his fantasy production. Strategy: avoid drafting him early, then trade for him in Week 3 once he's fully back up to speed.

Insight page

Sam Darnold

PositiveValue42:49

The source ranks Sam Darnold at quarterback 24 but views this as disrespectful given his quarterback 13 and quarterback 9 finishes over the last two years. Darnold won the Super Bowl and is considered a top-ten real-life NFL quarterback, but fantasy rankings are depressed due to his lack of rushing volume and the departure of offensive coordinator Clint Kubiak. The source acknowledges Darnold was likely elevated by Kevin O'Connell and Kubiak's system, creating uncertainty about 2026 production, but sees potential for him to jump higher as the season approaches.

0:00Today we are ranking and tiering the top 24 quarterbacks for fantasy football year in 2026.
0:05We're breaking down the biggest names plus some quarterback league winners that you can grab later in your drafts.
0:10Let's go. Welcome into the Live Fantasy Football Show.
0:13I'm Mitch Anderson. I'm Justin Mello. And Mello, it is time to break down some quarterbacks here for fantasy football in 2026.
0:19Last year we had Drake May, we had Matthew Stafford, some of these great values.
0:23We're gonna be talking about the big names, then we're also gonna be talking about some of the later guys that you
0:30can get that I genuinely think we both agree could be league winners this season.
0:34But let's start out with a guy that you're gonna have to pay a premium price tag for.
0:39Yeah, number one on the list, no surprises, it's Josh Allen.
0:42We keep saying it on this show, but you kind of have to anytime you talk about Josh Allen and fantasy.
0:48Of course. That he was, he's been a top two quarterback each of the last six years.
0:53The quarterback won overall in four of those six years.
0:56He has not missed a game due to injury since his rookie year.
1:00And Sam has the safest floor and highest ceiling of all quarterbacks.
1:03Probably is drafted too late every year, honestly, when you look at just how safe of a pick he is and how
1:10much of a difference maker he is at quarterback.
1:12I think the only argument for not grabbing him at cost and or maybe even above it in like the early third round.
1:19The only real argument to me is that quarterback feels deeper than maybe ever this year.
1:24And there's so great values late. That's the only reason I sometimes I'm talking myself out of paying up to just get that Josh Allen advantage.
1:31But otherwise it's hard to argue against just like knowing you're going to win the quarterback battle pretty much every week and grabbing Josh Allen.
1:38I think you put everything as well as it could.
1:41So I don't, I don't have a ton to add there.
1:44Um, I just think I want to emphasize your point.
1:47I remember texting you like a week or two ago when we were kind of getting our like mid July rankings done.
1:54And I was like, maybe we do this every summer, but this really does feel like the deepest quarterback year in recent memory.
2:00Oh yeah. There are so many guys going undrafted in a lot of one quarterback leagues that I think could have a top 10 finish.
2:07Absolutely. On to number two. I think this is the guy that we would agree is the one that could dethrone Josh Allen as the quarterback one.
2:15And none of us would bat an eye that's Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens.
2:20I'm so tired of having the, is Lamar Jackson good debate.
2:23Lamar Jackson is so unbelievably elite. And as much as I love Josh Allen, I think there's a very real argument that
2:29he's a guy that should have three MVPs. He was the overall quarterback one in 2024.
2:34In fact, the overall quarterback one in history back in 2024, which was just two years ago.
2:39Now back healthy. You introduced Declan Doyle of the Ben Johnson coaching tree into this offense as the new offensive coordinator.
2:45I think the sky's the limit. And like I said, I think he's really the only guy that none of us would
2:51bat an eye if he took that QB one spot.
2:54But no, like you said, he did it just a couple of years ago over Josh Allen.
2:59If you guaranteed he stayed healthy, I think there's a real argument.
3:02He should go even above Josh Allen, not saying he should even if he stays healthy, but there's an argument.
3:08The injury concerns are somewhat legitimate, though. He's missed 14 games over the last five years due to injury.
3:13Yeah. Very different story from Allen. Yeah. Who Allen, I mean, you just know he's playing 17 games or at least 16.
3:20Sometimes he says the last week, but never due to injury.
3:23I think there's also some concern around Lamar Jackson that as he gets older, he might start rushing less, which obviously is
3:29a huge part of his fantasy success. Last year was the first season since 2018 that he averaged under 50 rushing yards
3:36per game, and he didn't even get close to it.
3:39He was at 26.8. So I understand the fears there, but what I don't understand are the people that think he might
3:45be just completely washed or that he's just not good.
3:48That's absurd. He is still very good. If he can stay healthy, he's definitely worthy of being the second quarterback off the board.
3:54And he gets the unfair knock as an elite Russian quarterback that he doesn't also have an incredible passing resume, and I think that's ridiculous.
4:02No, yeah. He's a guy who's led the league in passing touchdowns before.
4:05He's been close to the top of the league in multiple years.
4:09He's a very good, complete quarterback. Speaking of which, I mean, all these guys at the top of our rankings are, but
4:15Drake May coming in here at number three, our sweet, sweet prince, Drake May.
4:19Early offseason, I was pretty worried that he'd be getting drafted too high this year coming off like this quarterback two season where he almost won MVP.
4:27But honestly, he's pretty reasonably priced right now. He has an ADP of 57 per Fantasy Pro's ADP data, which for the
4:33third quarterback off the board, that's pretty late from 2021 to 2025.
4:37The latest ADP of the third quarterback off the board was 37th overall per Fantasy Pros.
4:41Now Drake May is available 20 spots later than that when he was the quarterback two last year, and he only had 450 rushing yards.
4:49I say only as if that's not a lot.
4:51It is. But for somebody as mobile as him, I wouldn't be surprised to see him top that in 2026 or in future years.
4:58And he now has AJ Brown, too, who obviously is the best receiver he's ever played with, fits this offense so well.
5:04I'm not aggressively targeting Drake May in drafts just because we've talked about how deep quarterback is, and I don't feel like
5:11I need to draft one all that high. But I actually think he is a value, and I don't really mind taking
5:17him at ADP because I think it's totally fair at cost.
5:20I had been so torn on him earlier this spring because I just felt like, and I say this as a Patriots
5:27fan, I felt like there has to be some regression, right?
5:30But you make such a good point. It's like the rushing numbers weren't insane.
5:34Like, you're not expecting him to fall off of that.
5:37I think 450 is like probably pretty close to the floor you're going to get from rushing for Drake May.
5:43And then the truth of it is he was the quarterback two last season.
5:47You tack on an elite wide receiver one in AJ Brown.
5:50So it's honestly very tough to poke holes in Drake May as at least a top five quarterback in fantasy this season,
5:56which when you look at the ADP, like you said, I think that price is completely fair for him.
6:02And a guy that I thought was maybe going to get overpriced, like you said, is actually in a pretty good spot this season.
6:08Yeah, I don't have a problem with the cost at all.
6:12On to number four. Let's talk about Joe Burrow.
6:14I think, though, when you're looking at quarterbacks who could pass for 5,000 yards and 40 touchdowns, he's kind of like at
6:21the top of that list for me. The premier pocket passing quarterback for fantasy football paired with, in my opinion, the best
6:27wide receiver duo in the NFL, Jamar Chase and Tee Higgins.
6:30We get him back healthy. Still a horrific defense.
6:33Now they're up against the third most difficult rushing schedule in the NFL.
6:36I just I expect Burrow to drop back a lot this season and hopefully put together a huge fantasy year, kind of
6:43mirroring, if not better than that quarterback three overall finish in 2024.
6:46Yeah, it's totally in his range of outcomes. And I'm generally very much of the mind that you should never drop draft
6:53a pocket passer high in fantasy because mobility is so key in fantasy.
6:56And if you're not getting the rushing yards and the rushing touchdowns, you need probably 40 plus touchdowns through the air to make up for it.
7:04But that's something Joe Burrow can't do. He's the exception to the rule where you can take a pocket passer high because he is such an elite passer.
7:12And he's in this situation that you couldn't script any better between the great weapons that he has and the putrid defense,
7:18where the game scripts force them to throw the ball.
7:21I will say it feels like an unofficial rule in fantasy, though, that if you draft Joe Burrow, you need Jamar Chase or Tee Higgins.
7:28One, because it's just so fun to have the stack.
7:31Yes. One, because it's so fun. But two, because I think if you're drafting Joe Burrow here versus a couple of the
7:38guys that we're going to talk about later that we kind of view as value versions of Joe Burrow, you're basically banking
7:44on this being a historically great passing offense. That's the bet you're taking on Joe Burrow, taking him in these top four quarterbacks.
7:51So if that's the case, you do kind of have to do whatever you can to make sure that you end up with...
7:57I mean, you would have already had to have drafted Jamar Chase or Tee Higgins.
8:02So I think that's probably my best advice, and that's a great point.
8:05Like, if you're going to get Joe Burrow, make sure you got one of those guys.
8:10Yeah. And then you just become so lethal. Like, any given Sunday, those two players, you could just drop a 70-piece.
8:16Easy. Easy. And you're doing the gritty in your living room next thing you know.
8:20Back to the mobile quarterbacks, though. We have Jaden Daniels here at five.
8:24Let's go. Mitch, people are such suckers for recency bias.
8:27I can be, too. Like, I'm totally guilty of it.
8:30But because Jaden Daniels got hurt last year, his ADP is a full 38 spots lower right now than it was during draft season last year.
8:37And that gap is just far too big. We probably were drafting him too high last year.
8:42Obviously, hindsight 2020, he got hurt. But even, like, hindsight aside, that probably was too high, even if he had stayed healthy last year.
8:49But now I think we might be a little bit too late last year because he is so mobile and he runs the ball so much.
8:57And I keep coming back to it because this, I mean, it's, I think it's the theme of this year with quarterback, how deep it is.
9:04It makes it difficult to navigate when you should take a quarterback.
9:08But with that said, Jaden Daniels, I think, in the sixth round is a discount.
9:12I actually think that's phenomenal value. I don't fault you if you wait.
9:16But for someone who is so good as a rookie, I mean, as a rookie, he was a quarterback five overall.
9:22Yeah. You saw what he did on the ground.
9:24He led the NFL in scramble rate among quarterbacks with at least 100 dropbacks.
9:28He was second in rushing attempts among all quarterbacks.
9:31That's exactly what you want in your fantasy quarterback.
9:33The lion does not concern himself with the injury riddled 2025 Jaden Daniels season.
9:38I'm fully burning tape. Like you said, he was a quarterback five as a rookie, led the NFL in rushing EPA among
9:44quarterbacks, which led him to finishing second in rushing yards behind Lamar Jackson with 891.
9:48Does it in the air to 3,500 passing yards, 25 touchdowns.
9:51He's in that upper echelon of true dual threat quarterbacks that to me, I think this is like kind of where the tear breaks a little bit.
9:59And we start getting into guys that I'm not as confident about, but the Jaden Daniels disrespect needs to stop.
10:05Yeah. It's recency bias is what it is. And if he bounces back like we think he will, he'll be probably drafted
10:11too high next year because that's just how the market responds.
10:14Absolutely. Let's jump to number six, a guy that we're not drafting as high as we used to, Mello.
10:20And that's because of the horrific year we saw in 2025 for the Philadelphia Eagles.
10:24Let's talk about Jalen Hurts. And the unofficial Eagles podcast is back.
10:28I don't know why it is our cross to bear to defend the Eagles bounce back offense in like every episode, but no more Kevin Petula.
10:35We expect huge things this year closer to what we saw in 2024 than 2025.
10:40And even in that disastrous offense, Hurts still finishes as the quarterback eight.
10:43And I know AJ Brown's gone now, which feels like an even bigger knock, but you add Makai Lemon.
10:49And now something I don't think is being addressed enough is the offensive line too.
10:53I think that was such a big issue last year.
10:56And I think people are going to talk so much about the offense was terrible and now you remove AJ Brown.
11:02So now he's going to be even worse. I think this is going to be a much better year for Jalen Hurts.
11:08And I think he's like shaping up to be one of those guys that everyone in your home league is going to
11:15be grossed out by picking and you can get at a really, really good cost.
11:19Yeah. Your home league buddies who listen to the lamestream media that are just disgusted.
11:23Fake news media. No, I think Jalen Hurts still will be just fine.
11:27Like you said, the offensive line, I think, isn't getting talked about enough how injured they were last year.
11:33I think one of the funniest things with Jalen Hurts is after they won the Super Bowl a couple of years ago,
11:39people were crowning him like he's a fringe top five quarterback in the real life NFL.
11:44And then last year happened and people are acting like he doesn't even deserve to be a starter.
11:49Yet from a fantasy perspective, he was the quarterback eight in both of those seasons.
11:53Like he had the same exact finish. Yeah. Fantasy in both of those years.
11:57So I think that's the sign that we're overreacting.
12:00His ceiling probably is lower than it was, you know, a few years ago when he was having quarterback two, quarterback three finishes.
12:06But he still, I think, can get close to it if he has especially enough work on the ground.
12:12Tush push still legal. That is actually a big deal for him because that means it is like.
12:17The tush push makes him lead the league in attempts by quarterbacks and rushing touchdowns by quarterbacks.
12:22That's a difference maker. And that's why I still think he should be ranked relatively high.
12:26I think it's a bigger deal than people make it out to be when you consider like the four to five touchdowns that it could cause.
12:34And that difference being like 24 to 30 points.
12:37That's a substantial difference when you're looking at quarterback finishes.
12:39That's like an extra win or two on your fantasy season.
12:43Absolutely. All right. We'll move it on to number seven now.
12:46A different quarterback from that same draft class, Justin Herbert.
12:49Mitch, call me Madison Beer because I'm really hot and bothered by Justin Herbert right now.
12:53A little side confession here. I actually have no idea what Madison Beer's fan is for.
12:58I just know that she dates Justin Herbert and is allegedly very attractive.
13:02She makes music, right? I don't know. I'm not cool enough to know.
13:05I don't know a song that was released in the last like two years.
13:09We just like exposed ourselves as being like washed up right now.
13:13Yeah. I'm officially unk status. Unfortunately, I digress though.
13:15The line unk. I'm all over Justin Herbert though this year.
13:19Give me the guy who was once being drafted as a top three quarterback off the board in fantasy who should have
13:25a really good healthy offensive line for the first time maybe ever.
13:28And now he's got the best play caller he's ever had without question.
13:32One of the best offensive play callers in the league in my opinion.
13:36Everything's coming together. I think he's going to be phenomenal in 2026.
13:39I do too. I think Justin Herbert is in.
13:42And I don't think that this is like the worst kept secret in fantasy football right now about how much everyone's expecting
13:48this LA Chargers offense to take such a big step up.
13:52But you look at what Herbert did last season and I don't expect him to do it this year because of what
13:58you mentioned with the improved offensive line and hopefully them figuring things out.
14:02But he was second in the NFL in rushing yards among quarterbacks.
14:05Yeah. Justin Herbert is one of those quietly dual threat kind of guys that I don't think you're going to be getting those numbers from him again.
14:13But he adds a little bit of rushing prowess.
14:15He's still got Lad McConkie. We're all excited about Rondé Gadsden.
14:19QJ every year just kind of exceeds everyone's expectations.
14:21And then of course, you've got Amari and Hampton that people are more excited than us about his pass catching ability.
14:27And so if all of these things ring true and you bring in Mike McDaniel, like what's to stop Justin Herbert from
14:34jumping right back into like the top three quarterback conversation in fantasy football for 2026?
14:38Exactly. Especially because we've seen it before. Like he's been up there before in his career.
14:43It's definitely in his range of outcomes. 100%. Let's jump to number eight, Caleb Williams.
14:47Mello, you have enlightened me on something with Caleb Williams, something that I tweeted the other day and I created what felt
14:53like a civil war in my mentions. But I think Caleb Williams really might just be expensive Bo Nix this season.
14:59And that is, as I had to say on Twitter, a fantasy football take, not a real life NFL take because I
15:06think Caleb Williams is eons ahead of Bo Nix in terms of talent.
15:09But in 2024, Caleb Williams was the quarterback 16.
15:12Bo Nix was the quarterback 7. In 2025, Caleb Williams was the quarterback 6.
15:16Bo Nix was the quarterback 7. And both seasons, Bo Nix has had more touchdowns.
15:20They've had almost the exact same amount of passing yards last year.
15:24Bo Nix had way more back in 2024. And then they've got just about the exact same rushing ability, which I don't
15:30think a lot of people really consider. And yet we are drafting them at a difference that is absolutely bonkers.
15:36I want to say it's like the quarterback 6 and the quarterback 14 off the board right now.
15:41And so the further along in the summer, the more I hate to say it.
15:45I think I'm taking the stance that I'm kind of out on Caleb Williams at cost.
15:50I agree at cost. And I like Caleb a lot as a player, as you do too.
15:55Like, I think we want to make that clear.
15:58Like we both think Caleb's great. It's just in especially a year, we keep talking about how deep quarterback is.
16:03He's not really the guy I want to take a shot on most of the time.
16:08I mean, sometimes he falls below ADP or sometimes I have a burden or Loveland and I want the stack and like
16:14best ball and I have drafted him there. But I mean, otherwise it's tough to me to make that argument with where he's going at cost.
16:22Quarterback 5 last year definitely could do it again.
16:24But unless he throws for like 40 plus touchdowns, which is absolutely possible in this offense, it's just hard for me to imagine that top three finish.
16:32There's guys going so much later, like a Bo Nix, like you mentioned that I would rather have less, but are pretty
16:38comparable in what I think their season long finish will be.
16:42So I just prefer waiting as opposed to taking Caleb with where he's going.
16:46The argument I've seen a few times is like, oh, well, he has a much better chance of finishing as the QB one overall than Bo Nix.
16:53And I'm like, yeah, I guess like 0.03% is higher than 0.01%.
16:57But I don't, these, neither of these guys profile as the type of player that is going to finish as the QB one overall.
17:04But the difference is, is that there's a huge gap between Bo Nix's price and production.
17:08And I don't think that gap exists for Caleb Williams.
17:11Exactly. Yeah. And I agree. Like Caleb will not be the quarterback one because the Bears run it too much.
17:17And Caleb himself does not run it enough, even though he is mobile.
17:21So he does not have that kind of upside.
17:23But the next guy we have here at quarterback nine is honestly another example of someone I think is like a cheaper version of Caleb Williams.
17:31And that's Trevor Lawrence. Like just to compare him with someone like Caleb, not that I want to stay on Caleb for
17:37too long, but they're both dual threat quarterbacks on ascending offenses with great offensive play callers and embarrassment of riches for past catchers.
17:44Yeah. Lawrence is going as the quarterback 11 Williams, the quarterback seven.
17:47So four spots later, even though we only have them one spot here and Lawrence, actually finished as the quarterback four last year, higher than Caleb Williams did.
17:55I'm not, again, trying to be anti-Caleb here, but that's to me an example of like why Trevor Lawrence is a guy you can wait on.
18:03We saw the breakout last year. He was very, very good down the stretch last year.
18:08He was honestly a league winner. I will. Absolutely.
18:10He's definitely bound for touchdown regression. That is the one knock I will give.
18:14Like there is no way. But he had like 11 Russian touchdowns or something last year.
18:19Nine. Nine. But yeah. Yeah. Ridiculous. That will in all likelihood come down, but they still like to run him on design runs in the red zone.
18:27He'll still have some touchdowns. And also just a little side note.
18:30His pass catchers are relatively affordable. They're not going super late.
18:33But if you wanted like a BTJ or a Parker Washington or a Jacoby Myers stack, it's pretty easy to pull off.
18:40I want to apologize to our audience because I did lie about something earlier when I said that the Bengals had the
18:46best wide receiver duo in the NFL. It is Parker Washington, Jacoby Myers.
18:50And Trevor Lawrence last year, 23.3 points per game and the QB one in fantasy after his bye week.
18:55In terms of weapons, like you said, we've gotten to the point where Brenton Strange, who we'll talk about next episode is like barely even an afterthought.
19:03And then you've got Parker Washington, BTJ, Jacoby Myers, and even Travis Hunter, like who we don't think is going to be playing at times.
19:10But like, he's not going to not get offensive snaps.
19:13Like it is, like you said, I think that's the perfect word for it.
19:17An abundance of riches, an embarrassment of riches. And so I think Trevor Lawrence, if you end up with him as a
19:23QB one, like I wouldn't feel too bad about it this season.
19:27No, he's someone I'm drafting a lot of. But Mello, sound the alarms.
19:31I want to talk about my favorite value. The guy I have heated up on so much this offseason.
19:36Let's talk about Brock Purdy. I'm actually leaning towards making him one of my, my guys.
19:41And we talk about that later on this August.
19:43He is tied for second in points per game last season among quarterbacks with 21.1.
19:48He averaged 32 points per game in the fantasy playoffs.
19:50If you want to talk about an actual league winner.
19:53And now you can get him for the low, low price of the quarterback 12 in fantasy football.
19:59What are we doing? In just four seasons in the NFL, he's finished first in touchdown rate as well as fourth overall.
20:05And now you add Mike Evans to the equation.
20:08The trade-off of Jawan Jennings for Mike Evans is like nuclear bomb versus coughing baby.
20:12Like this is such an upgrade for this 49ers offense.
20:15I just like truly am like, and then we've talked about this Christian McCaffrey.
20:19Like he's incredible, but the rushing efficiency took a nosedive last year.
20:22And then Christian McCaffrey would have been like the wide receiver 15.
20:26If you just looked at what he did in the air, it's like weapons, weapons everywhere for Brock Purdy.
20:31He's also got the sneaky rushing ability. Like this one is such a slam dunk to me.
20:36And if healthy, I don't think there's a shot in the world he finishes lower than the quarterback 12.
20:42Literally not a shot in the world. Yeah. He's just got to stay healthy.
20:46Also, I thought you were a Jawan Jennings stan calling him coughing baby.
20:49I am. But you compare him to my guy, Mike Evans.
20:52He is coughing baby. Even though he was Kevin Durant going to the Minnesota Vikings, as we all know.
20:58I concur with everything you said, though. I think Mike Evans for this offense is a really big deal.
21:03Kittle coming along really well with the rehab. All the reports are positive.
21:07Of course, they're ahead of schedule as every player ever always is, except for Malik Neighbors, I guess.
21:12I was shocked. Yeah. Malik Neighbors is the first player in NFL history to be behind schedule.
21:17Which is really bad news. But I mean, the vibes are pretty positive right now in San Francisco.
21:22Weird comparison that you're probably not going to like.
21:25But to me, Purdy almost kind of reminds me of Rasheed Rice.
21:29He's like the Rasheed Rice of quarterbacks. Cute. And obviously not in personality or conduct, because in that regard, they could not be more opposite.
21:36But the way they're similar to me is they've both been sneaky elite and fantasy on a per-game basis.
21:41But people don't really realize it because we haven't seen the season-long finish yet due to injuries or Rice's case suspension.
21:47But on a per-game basis, they have been phenomenal.
21:50And I don't disagree with you at all that if Brock Purdy stays healthy, I think he'll definitely finish better than the quarterback 12.
21:57All right. Well, moving on to someone else I know you've liked, Mitch.
22:01And that is Jackson Dart here at the quarterback 11.
22:03He's plummeting right now. Plummeting. He is plummeting. And all of a sudden, I'm interested again.
22:08I'm all the way back in again. Back in March, he was getting ranked as like the quarterback 7, I think, which
22:14was definitely too rich for my blood. But now he's going like quarterback 10 or 11.
22:19That feels good to me. That feels right to me.
22:22No Malik neighbors is scary. So obviously that's, I think, why he's falling.
22:26And I think if I am taking him, I like to pair him with somebody a little bit more safe, like a
22:32pocket passer with some stability that I can take with my last pick if I am taking the shot on Dark.
22:38Right. But there's so much upside still. Second-year quarterbacks who rush for over 400 yards as rookies almost always hit on their ADP.
22:45In fact, Jaden Daniels is the only one who has not done it in the last 11 years.
22:50He finally broke the trend of those quarterbacks hitting on their ADP.
22:53He, Dart could be the latest guy on that list to hit on his ADP though.
22:58Yeah, he's just become increasingly harder to price with the Malik neighbors injury.
23:02But that's like not what you're excited about with Dart.
23:05I mean, obviously you are. You're excited for him to have a guy like Malik neighbors, but we're so excited about the rushing ability.
23:11John Harbaugh just came out and said like, there's no reason to hold back and not give it your all with Jackson
23:18Dart, like throwing his body into every car crash possible on the field.
23:22To me, that just says John Harbaugh is like, yeah, I could probably win with Jameis too.
23:26So get after it, buddy. But yeah, I think a quarterback 11 price tag and the upside you're getting out of him,
23:33it honestly reminds me a ton of Lamar Jackson back in 2019 when we were drafting him in like the 9th, 10th
23:39round in his year two season that he broke out and won an MVP.
23:43And I'm not saying Dart's going to do that.
23:46It just feels similar to me of like a guy that showed a lot in his rookie year and he's got the
23:52rushing upside and we're just burying him a little bit where I think he's got a much higher ceiling than a few
23:58of the guys we've even talked about. It's just that the floor is so low.
24:03Right. Which is why I didn't like him when he was going like as the quarterback six or seven off the board.
24:09But where he's going now, it's worth the moonshot, I think, to take that shot on upside.
24:14100%. Let's get into our final quarterback of the QB1 range.
24:17But before we do, if you haven't, we would appreciate it so much if you hit that subscribe button.
24:23We've got a ton of awesome fantasy episodes coming up, plus some free fantasy tools we're going to be dropping as we get into August.
24:30But Mello, let's talk about Dak Prescott, a.k.a. Joe Burrow Light, whatever you want to call him in that regard.
24:36He was last year's quarterback five. He's still got CeeDee Lamb.
24:39He's still got George Pickens. He's still got Jake Ferguson.
24:42And when we look at these situations of like, how different is he really from Joe Burrow in terms of the fact
24:48that he's got a wide receiver 1A and wide receiver 1B combo?
24:52They've got the really bad defense. And yet we're drafting him so much lower.
24:56The only issue is, and the reason why I'm starting to move down on him slightly, is that when we started the
25:02summer, I was seeing him getting priced closer to like the QB13, QB14.
25:06And he's now officially moved up to the QB9.
25:08So it does pain me to say we're actually now below consensus on Dak Prescott.
25:13But I also don't knock anybody, if you have the conviction in this Cowboys offense, take him as that QB9.
25:18Because again, when healthy, like, this is about as safe of a floor as you're going to get out of a guy.
25:25Actually, Mitch, it's an even-numbered year, so he's going to suck.
25:28Sorry. That's true. Nothing you said. That's where the, if healthy, really was holding a lot of weight there.
25:33No, I'm pretty much on the exact same page as you with Dak.
25:37Like, even earlier when you said you think Joe Burrow is the best 1-2 receiver, in my head, I'm like, eh, Cowboys
25:43have a pretty good case for it too. And Dak, of course, also a good pocket passer.
25:48So I think he's going to be very good.
25:51I think the other thing that goes through my head, though, that makes me just a little bit worried is Dak threw the ball 600 times last year.
25:59You look at the moves the Cowboys made at the deadline last year, and they already got better down the stretch at the end of last season.
26:07And now they made other moves this offseason, both in free agency and the draft.
26:11Could the defense be good enough where they're not throwing the ball a ton, and that will bring Dak back to earth
26:17as a quarterback who doesn't run a ton? Maybe.
26:20But with that said, I am very much in agreement with you that outside of Joe Burrow, Dak is easily the top pocket passer I want in fantasy.
26:28A hundred percent. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
26:31That sounds right until you actually do the math.
26:34For most businesses, shipping is that thing. What's it actually costing you?
26:37Because if nobody's questioning it, it's probably costing way more than it should.
26:41Because most businesses are overpaying on shipping without even realizing it.
26:44So ShipStation automatically compares rates across UPS, USPS, FedEx on every order with savings of up to 90%.
26:49Everything from order management to inventory and returns is centralized in one platform.

27:18And that brings us to what I... The nervous that makes me...
27:21Or the ranking that makes me the most nervous on this list.
27:25And that's Patrick Mahomes at 13, Mitch. Is this super disrespectful?
27:28Like the greatest quarterback of the last seven or eight years?
27:31If he was coming back like fully healthy and there was no injury last year, this would maybe be disrespectful.
27:37But I think there's a lot of question marks here.
27:40There are, 100%. It's just... It's like thinking the serial killer is dead and then he slits your throat.
27:45That's how I feel about ranking Mahomes here. And he was sneaky really good in fantasy last year.
27:50Like the Chiefs were kind of a disaster, but we talked about it.
27:54Like the quarterback too before he tore his ACL.
27:57And despite missing three games, he rushed for the most rushing yards of his career last year, which kind of caught me by surprise to see.
28:04Obviously coming off the ACL, I don't think he'll do that again.
28:08Yeah. But the good news is all indications are he's progressing well.
28:11The rehab's gone great. He'll be 100% for week one, allegedly.
28:14So, things are trending in the right direction. I'm not super excited about some of the question marks that you alluded to,
28:21but he is a guy we've seen do it so consistently both in real life and in fantasy.
28:26And he's going late enough that it's like, you might just be getting a steal.
28:30Yeah. I started this summer, like my concerns around Mahomes are really like, will he be back for week one?
28:36Once he is, we've seen mobility be such an important part of his fantasy production, whether it be rushing or honestly just
28:42his mobility in the pocket is like kind of what gives him such a Superman type of, you know, ability.
28:48And now all of a sudden, it's like we injected him with the super soldier serum and he's just going to be back for week one.
28:55And I don't understand the science behind it, but if he's back for week one, like it's Patrick Mahomes, man, maybe 13 is too low for him.
29:03But to me, like the thing I actually really want to do is probably not draft him.
29:08But when he's a little slow out the gates to start the season, go and try to trade for him in like week three.
29:15Yeah. Once he gets fully back up to speed, he could be, I mean, he's a guy who's had quarterback one finishes like quarterback two, three finishes.
29:23The last couple of years haven't been great, but I think there's a good chance he's in full form by October and then could be a league winner.
29:31That's I couldn't agree more. Let's jump to number 14.
29:34Let's talk about value menu. Caleb Williams, our man, Bo Nix.
29:37We already honestly just talked about him so much.
29:40So if you skipped over the Caleb Williams timestamp, I'd just go back and listen a little bit about Bo Nix.
29:46But this is the year three quarterback I'm targeting at cost.
29:49And I know I said, like, I have no issue with Drake May.
29:53If you want to take Drake May really early, I just for myself, I'm probably going Josh Allen, maybe Lamar if he drops a little bit past ADP.
30:01And then if I miss those two guys, for the most part, I'm like waiting until we get to this range.
30:07Like, I think you can tell I perked up once we got into like the quarterback 10 or 12.
30:12Like, I love these guys. And so this is the guy that I'm really probably the most excited to target at cost.
30:18And I think there's something inherently unsexy about picking Bo Nix in fantasy, probably because we watched him play for what felt like a decade of college football.
30:27But I do think there's a level of disrespect and like hand up.
30:30We were part of it. And I want to get on the right side of history here with Bo Nix and say I am a recovering Bo Lever.
30:38Yeah, same. I'm a Bo Lever now. I've seen the light.
30:42I haven't always been a Bo Lever. Where he's a guy, though, like we've talked about waiting on these quarterbacks and some
30:48of these one quarterback redraft drafts I'm doing and mock drafts.
30:51Like he's there literally with my last pick sometimes.
30:54Absolutely. How can I not take him? He's been the quarterback seven the last couple of years.
30:59Your last pick and you get the quarterback seven two years in a row.
31:03Right. It's like Amun-Ra getting the YRC with three.
31:05He's target brand Amun-Ra. Yeah. Like the one knock and the reason even we have them lower than the quarterback seven is the ceiling is capped.
31:13Like he doesn't have the potential, I think, to have like a top three or four finish because of his own physical limitations.
31:19But he could be the quarterback seven again. And even if the Broncos pass rate falls from fourth last year, at least
31:26neutral pass rate was fourth in the NFL last year.
31:29Even if that falls because they have a new offensive play caller, which I don't know why Sean Payton is giving up play calling duties.
31:36I can't make sense of that. But no, let's say that neutral pass rate falls.
31:40They're running the ball more. You'd hope that at least Jalen Waddell helped counteract that having another great receiver on this offense to help Alex out.
31:48So with all that said, like we haven't met 14 and part of me feels guilty.
31:52That might be too low. It's just a ceiling limitation.
31:55But still, I'm loving taking him with where he's going in drafts.
31:59Thank you for adding in the addition of Jalen Waddell.
32:01I can't believe we haven't even mentioned that yet, talking about him between now and the Caleb Williams conversation.
32:07But I also, by the way, just feel like Sean Payton is going to take back play calling duties by like week
32:13three because it's going to piss him off on like one drive when he would have done something differently.
32:19And they stall out. It's like performative. Yeah. They're going to only score like 13 points in like week two.
32:24And Sean Payton is going to be like, nope, my job again.
32:28Yeah. We're not doing that anymore. All right. Well, one of our other favorite late quarterbacks here, Mitch, Kyler Murray at 14 or at 15 rather.
32:35If Black Ops hadn't just been re-released, I'd probably have him at nine, Mitch.
32:39I'd probably, I'm about much higher. Feels like he has a certain cap he's allotted every year between passing yards and call duty XP.
32:46And anytime he earns XP, it like lowers his passing yard total on the season.
32:51I kid, of course, though, because if you've listened to this show, you know, I'm such a strong believer in Kyler Murray.
32:57He doesn't even need to win the job in Minnesota because JJ McCarthy already lost it a long time ago.
33:03So Kyler's career low in rushing yards per game is 30.
33:06And he's had as many as 51 per game in a season.
33:09He is healthy. He has the best weapons he's ever had in his career.
33:13He has the best offensive play caller he's ever had in his career.
33:17He's sort of playing for his career, at least his career as a starter.
33:21You know, he's motivated. I think he's my single favorite late round quarterback to draft.
33:26The only person washed here is me when I try to play Cod these days.
33:30It's like the most demoralizing experience of my life.
33:33I think Kyler Murray's still got it. And I think that's like, for some reason, a hot take.
33:38But I'm not going to belabor the point. You put him in the best situation of his career with KOC, the reclamation project king with quarterbacks.
33:45Give him Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, TJ Hawkinson, Kevin Durant, aka Jawan Jennings.
33:49Like, this is a star-studded roster that... This is a guy who's never not been a quarterback one in points per game except for last season.
33:56I'm high on Kyler Murray, too. But let's jump into number 16.
34:00Last year's quarterback three. And pretty much nothing has changed situationally.
34:03And yet we still have him here at the quarterback 16.
34:06That is Matthew Stafford. I think we're both in agreement that what he did last year is just not repeatable.
34:12And that him and Adams are probably like 1A and 1B for the biggest candidates for regression in fantasy football.
34:18But that being said, I think Matthew Stafford, if healthy, is a lock to finish higher than this.
34:23I just think he doesn't have anywhere near a quarterback three ceiling again.
34:27And I know that sounds silly. But I just think that the situation last year was magical and perfect.
34:32And everything went exactly how it needed to. Plus the fact you had guys like Jaden get hurt and Lamar get hurt.
34:39And I just foresee those two guys ending up in the top five.
34:42And so it's just a hard sell for me to imagine Stafford having like league winning upside.
34:47I envision it closer to like a 2024 type of year where he finished as the quarterback 15.
34:52Agreed. There's no scenario he finishes the quarterback three again unless he somehow throws for close to 50 touchdowns again.
34:58But this is what I mean when I say that quarterback so deep this year.
35:02You can get last year's quarterback three, the defending MVP.
35:05Yes. Super late in drafts. And like he's a guy, even though I know he will regress undoubtedly.
35:11If I'm taking a Kyler Murray or if I'm taking a Jackson Dart, I'm pairing it with him with Matt Stafford a lot of the time.
35:18So I have like my safe pocket passer. Yeah.
35:21And Stafford transcends pocket passer, which is why he can't finish all that high again unless he throws for a ton of touchdowns.
35:27He is a statue. He had as many rushing yards last year as he has Lombardi's on his career.
35:33And I know that sounds like a joke, but he literally had one rushing yard last year.
35:38One single rushing yard. That is ridiculous. Yeah. So he's not going to do what he did last year again through the air either.
35:45But do I think he'll be a low-end quarterback one, high-end quarterback two?
35:48Sure. And I'm fine taking that late in drafts.
35:51Yeah. Me too. And similarly, another pocket passer we have here, Jared Goff at 17.
35:55Let's go. Not far behind Stafford in the mobility race.
35:58Or I guess he's ahead of him if we're making it a race.
36:02I don't think Stafford's winning a race against too many people, but I don't know.
36:06I'm going off the rails here. What I do know is that Goff was second in both passing yards and touchdowns last year.
36:13So I feel like kind of a jerk for ranking him this low, especially because he still has the same weapons and
36:19the situation hasn't really changed all that much. So to me, he's like Stafford light.
36:23I mean, we have them back-to-back and they're just good pocket passing quarterbacks.
36:27You can take late in your draft and pair him with a mobile guy.
36:31If I had any balls, I would put him above Dak Prescott.
36:35He's this high on our list because of me.
36:37I actually do have him ahead of Kyler and Stafford.
36:40Did you know Vegas has Jared Goff at the highest passing yards line this season?
36:45And the third highest passing touchdown line? I'm not even that surprised by it.
36:49This is why I feel like a jerk. I feel like a dummy for having him this low, but I just can't
36:55put him above some of those other names. I feel like I need to do a bet alert right here, but I'm
37:01kind of considering putting a really long shot bet on Jared Goff to an MVP.
37:06I think his biggest issue would be the narrative around it.
37:09I think it's hard for them to sell Jared Goff as an MVP, but I just think he could have such a sensational season.
37:16Last four years, he was the quarterback 9, 6, 7, and 10.
37:19And he's just Mr. Underrated to me here. And we have him at 17.
37:23Right now in ADP, Jared Goff is going as the quarterback 16.
37:27When I'm thinking about a guy I would pick up as a safety blanket when you're targeting some of these higher-end, high-ceiling,
37:33low-floor guys, this is the one I'm going after.
37:36Yep. I don't blame you at all for that.
37:38I think that's a totally good shot to take.
37:41On to number 18. Speaking of lottery ticket, high-ceiling, low-floor, let's talk some Malik Willis.
37:45True lottery ticket. In a small sample size, he did have last year the highest EPA per play of any quarterback in
37:51the NFL, the highest scramble rate, and completed 85.7% of his passes.
37:55You are taking a shot here. Like, basically saying, I think that the rushing floor will be good enough to make him a quarterback one.
38:02Kind of a Justin Fields, what was it, 2022 season with the Bears where he finished as a top-five quarterback without really doing much through the air.
38:10And I think you're just kind of hoping for that same thing with Malik Willis.
38:14That's totally what it is. But at cost, that is a shot I want to take.
38:19In addition to Calum. Like, I think Malik Willis and Calum are my two favorite late-round quarterbacks for upside for what they could do.
38:26As long as Malik Willis gets benched, it's like you said, he could have a Justin Fields year where he's not even
38:32good in real life, but he's a top-ten fantasy quarterback all of a sudden.
38:36And given his skill set and the situation that he's in where he's going to be running for his life, I would
38:42not be surprised in the slightest if he leads the league in scramble rate.
38:46Like, I really think he's going to scramble so much.
38:49One of the best athletes in the league, especially at the quarterback position.
38:53You're going to have game scripts that work in his favor.
38:56They're going to be playing from behind. The Dolphins are going to have to call pass plays.
39:01Whether he actually throws the ball or takes off running, whatever, he's getting fantasy points either way.
39:06And my favorite thing is, I'm man enough to admit it could be a complete disaster because it is the Miami Dolphins
39:12and it is Malik Willis who we've never really seen be a true starter before.
39:17But even if it is an unmitigated disaster, with where he's going in drafts, you can just come after week three and not think twice about it.
39:25But the upside is you have a season-long starter who finishes as like the quarterback eight.
39:29Yeah, this is actually probably closer to the Lamar Jackson comparison I did for Jackson Dart.
39:34Not in the MVP sense, but in the sense of like the value you could be getting for a guy getting drafted that late.
39:41Yeah, he is a guy. I mean, he's going undrafted in leagues and I'm snatching him up anywhere I can.
39:46Next here though, we have Baker Mayfield at 19.
39:49Remember last year he was going as the quarterback seven?
39:52That feels fake. It doesn't feel real. It felt like a good pick at the start of the year too.
39:58Oh yeah, he was like the favorite for MVP and all these things.
40:01And then obviously it didn't work out. I mean, that price was ridiculous last year going for the quarterback seven.
40:07It's because he threw 40 touchdowns in 2024 and where suckers for recency bias and we thought it could happen again.
40:13But now all of a sudden he's cheap and he's healthy.
40:16Healthier than he was for the majority of last season.
40:19So he's not someone I'm really drafting a ton of just because I have him late enough where there's other quarterbacks I prefer in one quarterback leagues.
40:27But he's a great bounce back candidate. And if you're in two quarterback or super flex leagues or best ball, he's a
40:33perfectly fine guy to take a shot on. I think he's actually kind of a value.
40:38He was dealing with a sprained MCL and PCL from week two on last season.
40:42Melo, do you know where he finished? I have not as high as he was the first month of the season.
40:48Quarterback 12. Wow. He was a quarterback one last season and we have dropped him now all the way down to an ADP.
40:55Let me double check this before I say it.
40:58He was the quarterback or he is the quarterback 19 off the board.
41:01He was the quarterback three in 2024. Even with all the injuries, he was the quarterback 12.
41:06And we're I mean, you lose Mike Evans. I'll admit that and I'll see you that point.
41:11We are all talking about the Emeka Buka breakout.
41:14There's so many people who are so excited about Jalen McMillan.
41:17We're on the bandwagon of Chris Godwin is one of the best values and sleepers and fancy football this year.
41:23Why are we all disrespecting Baker Mayfield? Not to mention Baker Mayfield, another guy that also has some rushing ability.
41:29Absolute junkyard dog. Like when I'm watching a fourth quarter game, like guys, I want to see with the ball in their hands.
41:35Like Baker Mayfield's up there. Honestly, you're making a very compelling case.
41:39I might have to bump him up. I don't know over who because quarterback's so deep and I love so many of these guys.
41:46That's been this whole exercise. I'm just like, I think we're too low on this guy.
41:50I think we're too low on this guy. I think we're too low on this guy.
41:55It's like, I think the real takeaway here is I think that you've got to have conviction on certain guys to break away from the pack.
42:02Because I don't think there's ever been a year where there's so many guys that are going to just be so close.
42:09It almost feels like a tight end landscape to me.
42:11I think we've just gone full circle now. All of a sudden, I am drafting Josh Allen on my drafts.
42:17So I get that bump over everyone being the same.
42:20Let's move on though to number 20. To me, this is a guy who absolutely just like breaks into another tier after Baker.
42:27Because now we're getting into the more of like, we haven't fully seen it and what are we expecting?
42:32Tyler Shuck from the New Orleans Saints. I consider myself a Shuck head.
42:36I like a good Shuck as much as the next guy, but I do think the hype has gotten a little out of control this offseason.
42:43We're still above consensus with this pick, but the gap is closing very quickly.
42:48And that being said, I do think there's a ton to get excited about.
42:52You have Kellen Moore as the head coach. You pair him with this kid who has sneaky, a phenomenal stretch at the
42:58end of the year where he was the quarterback eight from weeks 13 through 17.
43:02He had Chris Olave. Now you give him Jordan Tyson, you give him Travis H.
43:07And who we don't love as a fantasy asset, but obviously from a real NFL perspective, having an extra weapon like that's a great bump.
43:14And so the upside certainly there, this is just truly going to be a like, is he really the plan for the Saints?
43:20And I think we're going to find that out.
43:23I think that might be the one thing people aren't factoring in is I think people are just expecting that the Saints
43:29are more committed to this guy than we're thinking as a fantasy community.
43:33Yeah, that's the risk. Like he doesn't have the draft capital.
43:36They could bench him. But the good news is it's not like they brought in a veteran or a notable veteran that could take the reins over.
43:44Like it seems like he has some sort of stability, which is good.
43:48I'm not as big of a shuckhead as you, but there's absolutely a lot of promise there.
43:53And I think people don't acknowledge his rushing upside enough.
43:56No, absolutely. It wasn't something we expected him to have in his toolkit coming out of Louisville at like 85 years old or however old he was.
44:03He was old enough to rent a car before he completed an NFL pass.
44:07Yeah. He was a backup to Justin Herbert. Justin Herbert's like second to last year in college, which is just absurd.
44:13But we saw the sneaky wheels last year. He averaged 25 rushing yards per game after the week 11 bye, which isn't
44:20a ton by any means, but it's a notable nice little floor raiser.
44:24He also had three rushing touchdowns over that stretch.
44:26So you're not solely relying on the passing with Tyler.
44:29Yeah, that's a great point. Somebody you are relying on the passing a little bit more heavily, though, is Jordan Love here at 21.
44:36Jordan Love is like the prime example to me of a quarterback who is much better in real life than in fantasy.
44:42And it's not that he's completely immobile. He just doesn't run very much, especially compared to modern quarterbacks where like over half
44:49the league starters at this point are dual threats.
44:51So if you're not a true dual threat, even if you run a little, you're essentially like a pocket passer in the
44:58new sense of the phrase, I guess. Um, but because he doesn't run, you're relying on like 45 plus hundred yards and
45:0435 plus touchdowns through the air for him to get to quarterback one territory, which is already a tough bet.
45:10Even if the Packers gave him that volume, the problem is they don't even give him that volume.
45:15So it's really hard for him to get those numbers.
45:18Green Bay has been a super run heavy team the last couple of years, especially since they brought in Josh Jacobs.
45:24They've been bottom six and pass attempts each of the last two years.
45:28If that changes, which who knows, maybe it could.
45:30Jordan Love could absolutely be a value in drafts.
45:33I'm just not so sure it will change. So I'm not that interested.
45:36I feel like I'm having a real Marie Kondo moment with him where this one just doesn't spark joy.
45:42Um, I know. So things that people point to, they'll say he was the quarterback five overall his rookie season.
45:48I just, I don't see Matt LaFleur ever having him drop back and attempt 500 plus passes anymore.
45:53Like he did that year. And since then he's had a quarterback 15, 17 finish.
45:57So if you're like, yeah, I want to draft a guy that I can feel confident is probably going to outperform my ADP.
46:04Like I guess, but he's just, the ceiling's not there for me.
46:07And I'm just not interested in Jordan Love this year.
46:10Yeah. Totally fair. Two quarterback leagues though. If you want just a stable quarterback.
46:14Yeah. Safe guy. Mid ends quarterback too. Um, let's talk at number 22, a guy that absolutely does not have a safe floor.
46:21And that's Cam Ward. Uh, I actually hate that we have him this low though.
46:25I think he is one of the guys that we're furthest apart on.
46:29He's sandwiched in our rankings right now between two guys that I don't think have a ton of upside.
46:34Meanwhile, I think Cam Ward's the exact opposite. Uh, he's the QB 22 on our list.
46:39Last season, he finished as the QB 23 as a rookie throwing to Ileke Aminor, Chimari DK and the corpse of Calvin Ridley.
46:46Now he enters year two with Wondale Robinson, a 1000 yard receiver last season, plus the number four overall pick in the NFL draft, Carnell Tate.
46:53You bring in Brian Dayball, who I think is a great offensive mind.
46:57And so for me, I think this is just too low.
47:00And I think this is a guy worth taking a bet on, especially in super flex when you're looking at those second quarterbacks.
47:07Yeah, I do like the upside of a year two quarterback who's the first overall pick and just gain those two great receivers you mentioned.
47:14I think I just like the upside in real life a little bit more than I do in fantasy.
47:19I just don't know that the breakout will translate to fantasy because he only had 159 rushing yards as rookie that ranked 26th among quarterbacks.
47:27We talk about continuously how important that is. And also, while he was the quarterback 23 overall, he didn't miss a game
47:33and he was actually 41st in points per game among quarterbacks, which means you need a pretty significant ascension for him to flirt with quarterback one territory.
47:41I think we could see the breakout. I'm not saying I think Cam Moore is a bust in real life.
47:47I think it could very well work out. I just don't know that that's worth the shot to me in fantasy.
47:53That's completely fair. And it all goes back to, yeah, I think I'm just going to draft Josh Allen.
47:58Yeah, the moral of the story is just draft Josh Allen.
48:01Wrapping up here, though, 23, another kind of icky pocket passer, CJ Stroud.
48:05Yeah. The 2023 quarterback class, which had three quarterbacks go in the top four, has a chance to go down as one
48:11of the most disappointing of all time. Stroud's the first one we're even talking about here today at 23.
48:17With that said, I actually do think he's going to outperform this quarterback 23 ranking because he's done it all three years of his young career.
48:24He's been better than the quarterback 23. Problem like we've talked about with some of these other guys like Jordan Love, for example, is just the ceiling.
48:32I just don't see a realistic world where Stroud is a top 12 quarterback when you look at how much the Texans
48:38are going to run the ball and how good their defense is and the offensive line problems.
48:43If the offensive line problem is fixed to a certain extent, though, and they're better, and that's a pretty big if, I
48:50do think we could see Stroud perform pretty close to what he was his right here.
48:54Not maybe quite there, but I think he could get back to close to it and be a really nice value in like two quarterback leagues.
49:02It's just a super limited ceiling. This just feels exactly like Jordan Love to me.
49:06I just, I think he's going to beat out his quarterback 22 ADP.
49:10I just don't think you're going to actually be happy with what the result is.
49:14I think it's going to be like he's going to be the quarterback 19.
49:18It's like, nice. You got a little value. Yeah, I got a little closing line value.
49:23Check this out. Let's jump here, though, and let's wrap this thing up quickly with Sam Darnold at number 24.
49:29Sammy Super Bowls. Obviously, this is a fancy football list, not a real life list, because I said during the playoffs last
49:35year, and this feels blasphemous, but I think Sam Darnold is a top 10 real life NFL quarterback.
49:40But we're probably too low here. I think I just look at the regression and Clint Kubiak leaving town.
49:46It's tough to get as excited, but I think as we move closer to the season, he's got the potential to jump
49:52guys like Stroud and Love, who I clearly haven't been all that complimentary of.
49:56And maybe even Cam Ward. I'm such a Cam Ward stan that it's hard for me to get there, but there's a
50:02boredom and a stink attached to Sam Darnold's name because of earlier in his career, when in reality, over the past few
50:09seasons, he's continued to prove to us that he's actually a very good NFL quarterback.
50:13Yeah, he is. And you just won the Super Bowl, like you said.
50:17This does feel kind of disrespectful. I kind of was ashamed of myself once I realized we had him at 24, especially
50:23because he's been the quarterback 13 and quarterback 9 over the last two years.
50:27Significantly better than this. But it's just, again, who do I put him above?
50:31I love so many of these guys, and he doesn't run the ball, which I sound like a broken record bringing that
50:38up with so many guys, but it does matter so much.
50:41It's important. It's very important. And you mentioned Clint Kubiak leaving, and I agree that Sam Darnold's a very good quarterback.
50:47I'm not questioning that one bit, but I think it's fair to consider the fact that he's probably been pretty significantly elevated
50:53the last couple years by Kevin O'Connell and Clint Kubiak.
50:56We don't know what this offense is going to look like without Clint, so I don't feel great enough to put Sam Darnold much higher than this.
51:04And I think that's entirely fair for our 24th quarterback.
51:07Yeah. Thank you so much for tuning in. We hope you enjoyed our top 24 quarterbacks for the 2026 fantasy football season.
51:13If anybody didn't make the list, let us know down below.
51:16And if anybody should be higher on this list that we didn't talk enough about, let us know down below, and we'll
51:22try to break them down further in a future episode.
51:25But Mello, before we get out of here, did we miss anything?
51:29Nothing from me. All right. We'll catch you guys next episode.
