Alvin Kamara wouldn't be playing football for the Saints in the year 2026... it sure does look like Kamara is going to be out there... he is actively getting first team reps alongside Travis Etienne... the best years of Kamara's career came in more of a 50/50 split with Mark Ingram... Alvin Kamara is only one year removed from scoring more PPR points than Travis Etienne ever has. RB5 in 2024 for Kamara... getting to play for two and a half months with the Spencer Rattler led Saints, like we didn't even get to see Kamara take advantage of the Jets and the Panthers and the Titans... Kamara has always been a much better player here.
STACKED’s take
RB5 in 2024; actively getting first-team reps; 2025 decline partly due to Rattler at QB.
Ian Hartitz expects Alvin Kamara to play a significant role for the Saints in 2026 despite a down 2025 season and contract restructure. Kamara is actively receiving first-team reps alongside Travis Etienne in training camp, signaling the team's commitment to keeping him. His best career seasons came in a 50/50 split with Mark Ingram, and the contract restructure reinforces that role expectation. Kamara was RB5 in PPR in 2024 and is only one year removed from that production. He missed late-season opportunities against weak defenses (Jets, Panthers, Titans) while playing with Spencer Rattler at quarterback, suggesting his 2025 decline was partly circumstantial rather than a permanent decline. Hartitz views Kamara as a much better player historically and expects him to receive significant pass-down work in the Saints' offense.
