MarShawn Lloyd is the only Packers back who could thrive from scrimmage if Josh Jacobs misses time, competing against Chris Brooks. Although Brooks might rank ahead of Lloyd for some or all of 2026, Brooks' role is mostly a nod to his reliability on passing downs and blitz pickup; if Brooks is on the field the passing game can function normally but the run game probably cannot. Lloyd is the only guy on the Packers roster who can pick up that slack. Lloyd's remarkably long injury history and college fumbling issues are obstacles, but if Lloyd is healthy and gets a hold of the football, few guys are tougher to tackle. Lloyd runs with a hot motor and has real raw strength and speed. In short, it's either Lloyd at RB2 or it's nobody. At ADP RB67, Lloyd is positioned as the handcuff target.
