Waddle actually has multiple seasons of high-end production (WR15 in 2021, WR12 in 2022). Also unlike Smith, we should also feel a bit more confident in the overall pass-game volume considering Bo Nix just led the NFL in pass attempts.

Waddle's ADP discount ignores his WR1 upside and Payton's system fit.

Waddle is being drafted at ADP 49.08 (5th round) and represents strong middle-round value. Unlike DeVonta Smith, Waddle has multiple seasons of high-end production (WR15 in 2021, WR12 in 2022) and should benefit from increased pass-game volume with Bo Nix leading the NFL in pass attempts. Sean Payton, considered one of the brightest offensive minds of the 21st century, traded a first-round pick for Waddle. While injury concerns exist, Waddle has played in 80 of 87 games since 2021. Courtland Sutton's declining efficiency (yards per route run and targets per route run both at four-year lows) suggests Waddle will be the engine of the high-volume Broncos passing game. Waddle has proven capable of WR1 production even as a No. 2 receiver.
