Washington is a slot specialist with unacceptably poor results through two seasons. The 2026 Miami offense will likely go extremely run-heavy in a two-TE base, which could send Washington to the bench. He is not guaranteed to hold off Jalen Tolbert, Tutu Atwell, Caleb Douglas, Chris Bell (knee), or Kevin Coleman. Through 961 career snaps, Washington has drawn just 101 targets despite an aDOT of only 4.8 yards—he should have 30-40 more targets given his snap count and route depth. His per-target efficiency is even worse: 71.3% catch rate at 5.4 yards per target is unacceptable given his modest target volume.
