He passed a rigorous physical clearance test administered by Dr. Dan Cooper that included cutting, jumping, and pushing to his limit. Through two weeks of training camp, he has had no noticeable setback and reports the knee "feels great." He is stacking days together and learning to play with the brace, sometimes forgetting about it during competitive reps. Mahomes expressed confidence in being ready for Week 1 against Denver on Monday Night Football, though head coach Andy Reid has all but ruled him out of the preseason slate beginning August 15 against the Rams.
