While Benson technically only had one drop, he also had a pass ripped out of his hands that should have been hauled in for a completion. To make matters worse, those two failed catch attempts came on third downs, and he hauled in just one of five targets on the evening.

Benson's poor night likely ends third WR competition with Bech.

Sixth-rounder Benson had a disappointing performance that likely ended his hopes of beating out Jack Bech for the third wide receiver spot. He had one drop and a pass ripped out of his hands that should have been a completion, with both failed catch attempts coming on third downs. He hauled in just one of five targets on the evening, despite putting together a strong training camp that had positioned him for a bigger role than expected in year one.
