Sixth-rounder Benson had a disappointing performance that likely ended his hopes of beating out Jack Bech for the third wide receiver spot. He had one drop and a pass ripped out of his hands that should have been a completion, with both failed catch attempts coming on third downs. He hauled in just one of five targets on the evening, despite putting together a strong training camp that had positioned him for a bigger role than expected in year one.
