McCarthy's injury history and hard hits in preseason raise durability concerns.

McCarthy was pulled from the game after a couple of hard hits left him walking gingerly off the field, despite coach Kevin O'Connell having planned to give him more playing time. The 10th overall pick in the 2024 draft missed his rookie year recovering from knee surgery and was limited to 10 starts last season because of multiple injuries.
