Cincy Jungle on Brian Parker

Parker placed on IR; will miss first four weeks but remains future right guard starter.

Parker, the Bengals' 6th-round draft selection from Duke, was placed on injured reserve after being rolled up on late in the preseason finale. He will miss at least the first four weeks of the season. Despite the injury setback, the source's long-term projection remains unchanged: Parker is next in line to start at right guard whenever Dalton Risner's time in Cincinnati ends. Parker showed versatility during the preseason by playing significant snaps at both left and right guard, plus some center work in week one. The source views him as a valuable depth piece and future starter, calling him a steal in the 6th round.
