Yahoo Sports NFL on Brian Parker

Parker placed on IR for first four weeks; long-term outlook remains bright as future starter.

Parker, the Bengals' sixth-round draft selection from Duke, was placed on injured reserve after being rolled up on late in the preseason finale. He will miss at least the first four weeks of the season. However, the source notes this injury does not change his long-term projection; Parker is expected to be next in line to start at right guard when Dalton Risner's tenure in Cincinnati ends, and the source describes him as a 'future starter' and 'what a steal to land him in the 6th round.'
