He's now the focal point of the Patrick Mahomes-led Kansas City Chiefs and is being positioned as the next stud free agent running back to deliver massive fantasy impact, following the pattern of successful free agent RB transitions (David Montgomery to Detroit in 2023, Saquon Barkley to Philly in 2024, Derrick Henry to Baltimore in 2024, Josh Jacobs to Green Bay in 2024). He's being treated as a potential league-winning value in the early second round. A key question mark is whether he will see receiving usage that the Kansas City Chiefs have alluded to in the preseason; the Chiefs have rookie EMTT Johnson and other backfield options who can catch the ball. For Walker to deliver a potential 2024 Derrick Henry-like outcome in terms of win rate at ADP, he will need to catch some passes.
