Hubbard remains clear lead back despite Brooks hype; only touch in red zone Week 1.
Safe start at Atlanta Falcons in Week 2. Despite offseason talk of Jonathon Brooks taking his job, Hubbard remains clear lead back. In Week 1: Hubbard had 49 yards on 10 carries with only touch inside 5-yard line; AJ Dillon had more attempts than Brooks (5 carries for 28 yards); Brooks managed miserable 3.5 yards per carry on 4 attempts. Falcons held Steelers to league-low 58 rushing yards in Week 1, but if Cooper Rush starts again, Panthers will likely establish run more than Steelers did (24th in rush attempts). Brooks might eventually take high-value touches, but not yet; clear No. 1 RB deserves to start more often than not.
