VanSumeren signed to 53-man roster after special teams impact; poised for creative role.

Chiefs fullback Ben VanSumeren was a late addition to the roster and became an instant contributor on special teams in Week 1, seeing only three offensive snaps. The team quickly signed him to a 53-man roster contract. Given the new-look Chiefs offense's success running the ball behind both fullbacks, VanSumeren should remain in creative roles alongside Khyiris Tonga.
