Colts WR Alec Pierce placed on injured reserve due to heel injury; will miss minimum four games with realistic activation closer to Week 8 or 9 (six weeks or more). Pierce suffered non-contact reinjury to left ankle/heel, unable to put weight on it; carted off field and later seen in crutches and medical boot. Elected not to undergo surgery. Pierce had only 5 receptions for 72 yards through two games after missing all training camp and preseason with prior ankle/heel injury; had just completed first full practice five days before reinjury.
