Skattebo emerging as dominant spark plug for Giants after injury recovery

Cam Skattebo has emerged as a physically dominant running back for the Giants in his second NFL season. Robert Saleh, now the Jets defensive coordinator, described him as a "Spark plug" for the Giants offense with old-school power: "He's like the old school Madden 2010 hit stick: lower your shoulder, run people over. Plays his a— off, lots of energy." Through two games this season, Skattebo has rushed for 117 yards with one touchdown and six first-down conversions against Dallas in Week 1, demonstrating recovery from his Week 8 leg injury last season that had raised durability concerns.
