Young's 361-yard, 3-TD Week 1 game is an outlier; expect regression to 1.2 TDs per game.

Young threw for 361 yards and 3 TDs against the Bears in Week 1, but this performance is unlikely to be his new normal. Entering 2026, he had passed for more than 300 yards and 3 TDs exactly once in his career (Week 2 loss at Arizona in 2025), topped 300 passing yards just 3 times before this season, and exceeded 200 passing yards in fewer than one-third of his 46 career games. The Bears defense pressured Young on less than 20 percent of his dropbacks—the second-lowest rate faced by Week 1 starters and about half the average pressure rate he saw last season. Regression to the mean is coming; Young scored four touchdowns this week after averaging 1.2 per game over his career.
