This should be a week for Jalen Hurts to give his receivers opportunities down the sideline... The Bears were happy to play aggressive single-high coverage against the Vikings, even with Justin Jefferson outside. That gives an offense chances if its receivers win early or the linebackers take a step toward the run.

Bears' aggressive coverage scheme creates vertical passing opportunities for Hurts.

The Bears' aggressive single-high man coverage and willingness to leave outside corners exposed creates opportunities for Hurts to attack vertically down the sideline; the source notes the Bears have allowed explosive passes on 11.9% of pass plays through two weeks and played aggressive single-high coverage even against Justin Jefferson, suggesting Hurts should have chances if receivers win early or play-action works.
