The Seahawks were without left guard Samuel Cosmi, and this Washington line was already one of the worst units in the league. I fully expected Seattle to dominate the line of scrimmage and give Marcus Mariota no real time to throw.

Negative signalMatchup

Mariota faced tough matchup vs. Seattle's strong front; limited time to throw.

Marcus Mariota was expected to struggle in Week 3 against Seattle due to the Seahawks' strong defensive line and Washington's weak offensive line (missing left guard Samuel Cosmi). The matchup was unfavorable for the Washington passing game.
