NegativeInjuryOct 30, 2026
Doubtful status for Week 8 vs. Cincinnati Bengals; shoulder injury; did not practice all week and not practicing Friday. Has been on injury report for quite a while; Kyler Gordon notes shoulders are difficult to assess for recovery timeline. Tate is Chicago's best weapon on offense, so his absence will significantly impact team's passing game and game script (team projected for only 17 points).NegativeProjectionOct 16, 2026
Ranked against the Colts in Week 6. Caught 1 of 5 targets last week despite being open. Cam Ward is completing only 40% of throws 10+ yards downfield (29th in league) and the ball rarely leaves his hand on time, creating extended plays that disrupt Tate's route tree. Michael Penn questions whether OC Brian Daboll will deploy Tate in 3x1 or 2x2 slot looks to maximize efficiency, as Tate is not a pure X receiver running straight lines.NegativeBustAug 31, 2026
Carnell Tate is viewed as overvalued at his 7th-round ADP compared to KC Concepcion. Cam Ward is bearish on the Tennessee offense under Brian Daboll and quarterback Cam Ward, noting that Tate will face difficult one-on-one matchups against number one cornerbacks as an outside receiver, which limits his fantasy upside relative to his draft cost.NegativeValueAug 30, 2026
The source references Cornell Tate as a benchmark for the seventh round of fantasy drafts, using his ADP to illustrate where Matthew Golden should be considered as a target.NegativeBustAug 27, 2026
Carnell Tate is a high-risk asset facing a difficult path to relevance, projected to play 85% of snaps on the outside against top cornerbacks. He recorded the second-lowest YAC per reception among all first-round wide receivers since 2016. Jeremiah Love notes concerns regarding his lack of separation and poor quarterback play, suggesting his 7th-round ADP is too high.NegativeProjectionAug 18, 2026
Shane Sten is hesitant to rank Carnell Tate as a top-36 wide receiver, citing concerns about the Tennessee Titans' offensive line and quarterback play. Sten is not sold on Tate seeing a 100% snap rate immediately and notes that his lack of experience with manufactured touches at Ohio State contributes to a boom-bust outlook. Consequently, Sten ranks him behind DK Metcalf, Jordan Addison, and Brian Thomas Jr.PositiveValueJun 16, 2026
Despite concerns about the Titans offense, Carnell Tate is viewed as a great value at WR30 due to his fourth overall draft capital in 2026, with massive upside if Cam Ward plays at an above-average level.NegativeProjectionJun 16, 2026
Despite liking Carnell Tate individually, the analyst is concerned about his fantasy outlook due to Cam Ward's concerning film, a brand new Titans offense, and potential for him to finish as WR40 despite being priced as WR30.NegativeValueNo date
Carnell Tate is currently the fifth pick of the seventh round (WR32). The source believes this ranking is appropriate given his development needs as a 21-year-old rookie, lack of manufactured touches, and the questionable Tennessee Titans offensive environment. The source prefers Casey Conpion over Tate in full PPR formats and ranks Parker Washington ahead of him.PositiveValueNo date
The analyst is actively drafting Carnell Tate in the cluster of picks around Brian Thomas Jr., Roma Dunce, and Christian Watson, indicating confidence in his value at that draft range.PositiveProjectionNo date
Carnell Tate is grouped with Brian Thomas Jr., Alec Pierce, Quinton Johnson, Jordan Addison, and Marvin Harrison as the same type of player—high-variance, downfield-focused receivers.
