Antonio Williams

PositiveSleeper5:00

Rookie WR who led the Washington Commanders in route share and target share (25%) in his last game, recording 6 targets, 5 catches, 54 yards, and 3 first downs. He averaged 1.86 yards per route. Ron Stewart rates him as a solid flex play with plenty of upside in the Commanders receiving corps.

Insight page

Brian Thomas Jr.

NegativeRole11:30

Brian Thomas shouldn't be available on waivers and is worth a stash, though he could potentially get traded. He scored a touchdown against the Colts but only ran 52% of routes, so the touchdown shouldn't be overvalued. Jakobi Meyers (who ran 65% of routes in Week 8) is dealing with an injury heading into a short week, which could create opportunity.

Insight page

Caleb Douglas

PositiveSleeper4:00

Rookie WR with upside in the Miami Dolphins offense, which has increased tempo and play volume over the last three weeks to league-average levels (up from bottom-three for the season). Malik Willis has posted 200+ passing yards and 2+ TDs in each of the last two games. Douglas recorded 6 targets, 4 catches, 43 yards last week while operating at 86% route share and averaging 11.9 PPR points per game. Ron Stewart rates him as a top-30 play this week against Detroit, which has been kind to passing games.

Insight page

Carson Beck

PositiveProjection16:46

Ron Stewart projects Carson Beck to start games down the stretch of the season and identifies him as a waiver wire target with Superflex value for teams in need at quarterback.

Insight page

Chris Rodriguez

PositiveRole6:54

Rodriguez is a top-24 running back play this week if starter Basil Tuin misses the Thursday game. Tuin picked up an ankle-foot injury and did not practice Monday with a quick turnaround, creating opportunity for Rodriguez.

Insight page

Cyrus Allen

PositiveBreakout12:02

Cyrus Allen continues to trend up with route share progression from 13% to 28% to 50%. He has green per-route metrics including 9.5% first downs per route run (one of the higher rates on the list), decent yards per route run, and decent targets per route run. He's a pure shot in the dark but worth monitoring as a potential breakout rookie receiver.

Insight page

Dylan Sampson

NegativeRole7:35

Samson outnapped Judkins but is limited to a pure passing-down role; a fun handcuff with upside.

Insight page

Elijah Mitchell

NegativeRole8:12

With Tank Bixsby back and Saquon Barkley healthy, Elijah Mitchell probably fades away into obscurity.

Insight page

Gardner Minshew

PositiveRole18:11

Minshew is going to start this week in Superflex; any starting quarterback is valuable in Superflex, though it's unclear how long he will remain the starter.

Insight page

J.J. McCarthy

NegativeProjection17:32

McCarthy is a shot in the dark/swing on upside; he has shown flashes and looked good as a mobile quarterback; he gets Philadelphia this week, which allows the 10th most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks.

Insight page

Jakobi Meyers

NegativeInjury11:30

Jakobi Meyers is dealing with an injury and only ran 65% of routes in Week 8. The team is coming off a short week, which could impact his availability and role going forward.

Insight page

James Cook

NegativeInjury8:47

James Cook suffered an injury during the Week 8 game against Minnesota but appears to be fine. This serves as a reminder of his injury risk and the contingency value of Ray Davis as his handcuff; if Cook were to go down, Ray Davis would become the lead back for Buffalo's offense.

Insight page

Jonathon Brooks

NegativeRole8:22

Brooks was dropped in a lot of places; if you have a free IR spot, he is a good stash, but you're still hoping for a Chuba Hubbard injury down the stretch or Brooks to emerge—both unlikely but still worth rostering.

Insight page

Jordyn Tyson

PositiveSleeper1:02

Rookie WR returning from IR with only 35.4% ownership in ESPN leagues; Ron Stewart calls this ownership level "insane" and flags him as a priority waiver add (10%+ FAB). Tyson is poised to enter an excellent Saints passing game with potential immediate impact upon return.

Insight page

Keenan Allen

PositiveProjection5:34

Allen is one of the nastier PPR plays in the NFL. Since Week 3, he has played five games with PPR scores of 18, 9.5, 16.2, 6, and 13.7 points. Ron Stewart rates him as a fine high-floor flex option now facing Dallas in Week 9, a really strong matchup for him.

Insight page

Malik Washington

NegativeProjection10:08

Malik Washington projects as a low-end wide receiver 3 this week against Detroit. However, Alier So is cautious about chasing his touchdown from the previous week, believing Caleb Douglas is the better player in a crowded Chicago receiving corps with limited room for Washington and Greg Dolich.

Insight page

Malik Willis

PositiveProjection4:24

Willis has thrown 2+ passing touchdowns in each of the last two games and is averaging 20.5 points per game over his last three games, making him worth rostering even in one-QB leagues. He faces Detroit this week, which allows the most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks, supporting a strong fantasy outlook.

Insight page

Michael Mayer

NegativeProjection14:34

Mayer is tight end 15 in points per game and is a startable/streamable option next to Brock Bowers, though not a confident play.

Insight page

Mike Washington Jr.

PositiveRole2:25

RB who just recorded 25 carries for 83 yards against the Jets in a role split similar to the Judkins–Samson model, where Washington handled all between-the-tackles work while Ashton Jentry operated as a change-of-pace and receiving-down back. If this trend continues with 20+ touches per week in the Raiders offense, Washington becomes a priority waiver target; however, the offensive line is poor, making Ashton Jentry a valuable handcuff. Ron Stewart flags this as a key Week 9 storyline to monitor.

Insight page

Ray Davis

NegativeRole8:44

Davis is preferred over Ty Johnson as the primary handcuff to James Cook in Buffalo's backfield. If Cook were to go down, Davis would become the lead back for the offense. James Cook got hurt in the Week 8 game against Minnesota but appears to be fine, serving as a reminder of his injury risk.

Insight page

Seth McGowan

PositiveRole5:58

Jonathan Taylor appeared to signal McGawan's time to lead the offense; McGawan could be the lead back if Taylor gets traded, positioning him on a week-to-week basis in a similar tier as RB2s like Jordan Mason, Ollie Gordon, and Judkins, capable of getting 15 touches and scoring a touchdown.

Insight page

Tank Dell

PositiveBreakout12:31

Tank Dell is an interesting stash after returning from injury with one catch for 43 yards. With Jaylen Null out for the season, Dell could emerge in Houston's offense, though the team uses hockey shifts with multiple receivers (Kahan Booty, Xavier Hutchinson, Jared Wayne) making it tricky for anyone besides Nico Collins to break out.

Insight page

Terrance Ferguson

PositiveRole15:50

Ferguson showed promise early in the season with nine targets, six catches, 54 yards, and a touchdown in week two; now that Devonte Adams is out for four to six more weeks, Ferguson is a streamable tight end option in any game he plays without one of the top two receivers; he could return to practice as soon as this week.

Insight page

Ty Johnson

NegativeRole8:44

Johnson would remain the receiving back if James Cook gets hurt; Ray Davis is preferred as the primary handcuff over Johnson.

0:00What's going on, man? Welcome back to the basement. I'm Ron and it is Tuesday morning, which means we are here to talk
0:07through my must add waiverwire targets for week nine of the fantasy football season. And I feel like I say this every
0:14week, but the waiverwire looks pretty good today. If you need a fill in, if you need a stash for later on in the
0:20season, there is plenty of value out there right now in your league. Today, we're going to talk about players under 50% owned in ESPN leagues. As always, if
0:28you enjoy, leave a like, subscribe if you're new, and our first set of players we'll talk about here is our priority
0:34ads. These are players I would spend 10% or more of my fab budget on. And of course, I use this video to flesh out my
0:40thoughts, create an outline, and then I post the video. I go over to the Patreon, patreon.comstewart, and I outline in detail my waiverwire
0:48article with fab recommendations for every single player, running backs, wide receivers, quarterbacks, tight ends, 10 plus players deep at pretty much every
0:56position to make sure you guys are ready to roll for waiverss. You can find the description and the comment section down
1:02below. Now, in terms of these waiverwire priority ads, Jordan Tyson's not available in your league. It just drives me insane that he's only rostered in
1:0935.4% of ESPN leagues. That is insane.
1:12If there's any chance that someone dropped him, the Saints were on by. He's been an IR player all season. Whatever.
1:17He might be back this week and he is an awesome rookie prospect about to get injected into an awesome Saints passing
1:24game. Now, Tyler Algier rostered in 45.9%.
1:29I don't know what the heck. Do I got music playing on the laptop here?
1:35I do. But actually, we might get copyrighted for that. I don't know. But Tyler Alier now, he's probably not available in your league. 45.9% owned,
1:43but I think there's a really good chance that he was actually dropped because we had this situation where Jeremiah Love misses time, but then Bam Knight creates
1:51a split with Alier. So, it's like, oh, we should probably just drop Tyler Alier. He's no longer the handcuff.
1:56Then, of course, Sunday happens.
1:58Jeremiah Love gets hurt. Bam Knight gets hurt. Tyler Alier scores 35 plus PPR points against the Dallas Cowboys. Now, of course, they have to play against the
2:07Seahawks this week, but if this is a situation where there's no Jeremiah Love, Bam Knight is banged up, and Tyler Aier is the hot hand
2:15in a year that has injuries and by-weeks, like every year, Tyler Aier is somebody who's probably going to rank in the RB20 to RB 25 range once we get some
2:25injury updates. Now, we can talk about Mike Washington as well. He might be out there on waiverss. Mike Washington, a guy who just had 25 carries against the
2:34Jets, 83 yards. His yards per carry does look better when you factor in the idea that he got stuffed at the goal line a
2:41few times. if this is a trend moving forward where he is going to be the almost like a it really was very similar
2:48to like a Judkins Dylan Samson split where Mike Washington got all of the carries and between the tackles work and then Ashen Jenty operated strictly as a
2:59change of pace rusher and a receiving down back and if that takes place Mike Washington didn't score many points but if he's going to get 20 plus touches
3:08in a given week 20 plus touches or 20 plus touches is in this Raiders offense.
3:12The offensive line is bad. Ashen Jensen is right next to him, but he now becomes one of the most valuable handcuffs in
3:17all of fantasy football. We can also look at the rookie running back carousel. Here he is across the bottom.
3:22You can see he goes from a 33% snap share to a 27% to a 63% snap share, handling 81% of the rush attempts.
3:33That's a role that needs to be on your team. Then I think one of the biggest storylines to look out for in week nine
3:40is whether or not this sticks. There's a chance that Mike Washington reverts back to his usual role that this was some
3:45kind of a somewhere between disciplining Ashen Genty for talking out about the Jets or letting Ashen Genty get it healthy or just that
3:55Kubak has kind of had enough with Ashen Genty not being all that efficient or explosive between the tackles. Then we'll talk about some wide receivers
4:03with rookie upside. We have Caleb Douglas. Malik Willis has been good.
4:08This Miami Dolphins offense has also been pushing the tempo, throwing the ball more, running more plays. Over the last three weeks, their plays per game
4:18has gone up to about league average.
4:19Whereas on the entire season, it's been in the bottom three range. You have 200 plus passing yards for Malik Willis in
4:24each of the last two games. Two plus passing touchdowns in each of the last two games for Malik Willis. And now they
4:31get a Detroit Lions defense, which isn't terrible, but has been kind to passing games. Caleb Douglas gets six targets, four catches, 43 yards this past week.
4:42Nothing crazy, but he is a top 30 play this week against Detroit. A nice flex option. We look at his rookie receiver
4:48report here. He's operating around 86% of the routes. That's fine. 11.9 points per game. That's great. Two plus yards per out run. In terms of fulltime wide
4:58receivers, it's Carell Tape. It's Caleb Douglas. It's Omar Cooper. Caleb Douglas is one of these last rookie wide receivers with upside. He can go out
5:06there and grab. Same deal with Antonio Williams. We saw him lead the Washington Commanders in pretty much every receiving stat. He led them in route
5:16share, target share with a 25% target share. He had a 1.86 yards per round.
5:20Nothing crazy, but he did have three first downs, six targets, five catches, 54 yards. a solid day in a flex play
5:26moving forward with plenty of upside.
5:29Uh, and then we can also talk about Keenan Allen. I doubt he's available in your league, but if he is, he's one of
5:34the nastier PPR plays in the NFL in all of fantasy football. But at this point, with the way that the Colts offense
5:41operates, you know, we're talking about since week three, he has played in 1 2 3 4 five games, he has had 18 PPR points,
5:49then 9.5, then 16.2, then six, then 13.7. He is a fine like highf flooror flex option and now he gets Dallas in
5:58week nine. A really strong matchup for him. And then our last priority at is Seth McGawan. Again, another guy who shouldn't be on waiverss. Jonathan
6:07Taylor seemed to kind of dap Seth McGawan up and was kind of like now is your time. Young Buck is sort of what
6:13the uh still shot of them on the sideline at least looked like to me.
6:18Jonathan Taylor could get traded. Seth McGawan could be the lead back in this offense and find himself on a week-to-eek basis in a similar tier as
6:25your RB2s of like Jordan Mason and Olly Gordon and Judkins and just one of these guys who can get 15 touches and maybe he
6:33scores a touchdown. Now, we'll move away from our priority ads. These are guys that I am much more willing to just kind
6:38of let fall to me after waiverss run.
6:41Maybe put in a 5 to 10% bid on these guys. But of course, if you're in deeper leagues, if you're down bad, you can get
6:47more and more aggressive as you see fit.
6:49Now, our number one ad here is Chris Rodriguez.
6:54Don't go crazy. But Basil Tuin picked up a ankle foot injury and he did not practice on Monday. They play on
7:01Thursday. A really quick turnaround.
7:03There is a chance that if Tuin misses this game, Chris Rodriguez would be a top 24 running back play this week. Now,
7:10I'll also say before we get to a guy like Bam Knight, this is where I would have my premium handcuffs. I don't think
7:15that EMTT Johnson or Kalin Black will be available in your league, but both are awesome. They're both strictly handcuffs, but they are some of the best
7:22handcuffs in the league. EMTT Johnson looks like an awesome player. He had five catches, 120 plus receiving yards.
7:27Kaylin Black is behind Christian McCaffrey, who got hurt heading into the by-week. Now, we can talk about Bam Knight. He could return this week.
7:35Jeremiah Love could still be sidelined and Bam Knight could be a streamable RB3. We have Dylan Samson who outnapped Judkins, but he is in this pure passing
7:44down role. He is a fun handcuff with upside. I like Tang Bixsby as well, our fifth running back target here or our
7:51fourth running back target here. He is eligible to return from IR this week.
7:55Saquon Barkley is hanging on by a thread. Saquon Barkley could get traded.
7:58Hank Bsby could make this a real split and be a really solid handcuff moving forward for this team. Then Devin Singleary Scataboo
8:07pulled up hurt in the game before the by-week. Deon Singleary if the Giants don't make a trade could find himself in
8:12a starting role. Then we have Elijah Mitchell. Same deal with Tank Bsby, but with Tank Bsby back with Saquon Barkley healthy. Elijah Mitchell probably fades
8:22away into obscurity. And then we have Jonathan Brooks. He was dropped in a lot of places. If you have a free IR spot, I
8:28think that he is a good stash, but you're still kind of hoping for a Chuba Hubard injury down the stretch or
8:34somehow Jonathan Brooks emerges. Both things unlikely, but still worth rostering. Then we'll get to our low-end handcuffs here. That's where I'll have
8:42Sam Perine, Ray Davis, Ty Johnson. I will say I prefer Ray Davis to Ty Johnson. I think Ty Johnson would remain
8:47the receiving back. Whereas if James Cook was hurt, Ray Davis comes in.
8:50People forget that James Cook got hurt in this game. He's seems to be fine, but just one of those reminders that if James Cook was to go
8:59down, Ray Davis would be the guy. And then Sion Vaky, he finds himself getting more and more touches here. Jamir Gibbs
9:05gets a ton of volume in every single game. If Jir Gibbs was to go down, Cion Vaky would find himself as a lead
9:12running back for one of the NFL's best offenses. He had a season high 11 carries for 65 yards in this game
9:18against Minnesota. He is somebody that should be rostered in most leagues. Then come on Evida, he led the Chargers in snaps uh for
9:26whatever that's worth. You know, he didn't really do anything with it. The Chargers suck, but he is somebody to mention. Then we'll move over to our
9:34wide receiver list. We'll start with our starts. We have Ryan Fenoy here. Uh I've seen people get a little bit crazy about
9:40him. Here's the issue. In a given week, he projects is like the wide receiver 40 behind Pickins and CD Lamb. Even though
9:45he's on a hot streak where he scored like 10 plus PPR points over the last four weeks, he's probably been more of
9:49like a top 30 play over the last four weeks. But again, on a week- to-eek basis, he's a shaky flex at best.
9:56Really, what he is is he's somebody you can throw in your flex if you're desperate. And then he has this handcuff
10:02upside where if George Piggin was to get traded or if CD Lam or George Piggin were to get hurt, Fenoi would be a top
10:0825 play at that point. So, he has some standalone upside, some handcuff upside, which is rare at the wide receiver position. Then, we'll talk about Malik
10:15Washington, who maybe I'm a little bit too low on. He probably projects as a low-end wide receiver three this week against Detroit, but there's only so
10:20much room for Caleb Douglas and then Malik Washington and then Greg Dolich. I don't want to just chase Malik Washington's touchdown last week when I
10:27think that Caleb Douglas is a better player. Then we can talk about AD Mitchell. Uh this actually seems really low on AD Mitchell, but in a given week,
10:35he's going to be like a consensus wide receiver 40. You're never going to feel good about starting him. Omar Cooper is
10:40emerging. Garrett Wilson's a top dog there. Ady Mitchell still didn't run uh you know like a 90% plus route share here. It's going to be really boom bust.
10:47I think most weeks it's going to be Garrett Wilson in the top 24, Omar Cooper around wide receiver 30, 80 Mitchell around wide receiver 40. But he
10:55is fun. He's a boom bust player. He still has upside as kind of a young ascending player as well. So, he is
11:01somebody that is both a start and a stash because I do think that there is upside for AD Mitchell. Uh, and then we
11:06have Effan Kism. This was if you're really desperate, if AJ Brown misses another game, if Hunter Henry misses more time, all of a sudden, yes, you
11:13have Demario Douglas there. he's owned in too many leagues. Epism did run, I believe, 85% of the routes in this matchup against Miami and would be the
11:22next man up after Pop Douglas just given all of the injuries for the Patriots. I do want to double check, but yeah, I do
11:30believe Effan Kism ran Yeah, he ran 81% of the routes in week eight, a season high for him despite not really scoring
11:38many fantasy points. Then we'll talk about our wide receiver stashes here.
11:42Brian Thomas shouldn't be available out there. Could he get traded? Yes, he scored a touchdown in this game against the Colts, but I wouldn't really go
11:48crazy about that. I think he still didn't run many routes. Yeah, only 52% of the routes here. Brutal. I mean, Jacobe Myers clearly dealing with an
11:56injury. Only ran 65% of the routes here in week eight. Now they're coming off a short week. Brian Thomas worth a stash.
12:02Could he get traded? Then we have Cyrus Allen. Cyrus Allen continues to trend up. He has gone from a 13% route share
12:08to a 28% route share to a 50% route share. We can see that all the way on the bottom of the rookie receiver report
12:15here. Yeah, there he is down there. Uh 13% route to 28% to 50%. Uh and he has green per out metrics, right? 9.5% first
12:23downs per out run is one of the higher rates on this list. Decent yards per out run. Decent targets per out run. Pure
12:31pure shot in the dark, but we'll see if that works out. Uh Tankell, I think, is an interesting stash. He had one catch
12:37for 43 yards off of his injury. They go into the bye-week. He comes back. Jaylen Null is out for the season. It's gonna
12:44be really tricky for anybody besides Nico Collins to really emerge in this offense. They love to run hockey shifts with these wide receivers between Kahan
12:52Booty and Xavier Hutchinson and even a guy like Jared Wayne hops in there and runs routes. But you could sell me on
12:58Tank Dell and then Malachi Fields. I'm not crazy about him. if you did want to take one more shot at like, you know,
13:04who could be next week's uh Antonio Williams, Jeremy Bernard, Casey Conpsion, you know, one of these rookie receivers, could be Malachi Fields. I
13:11just have some doubts about anybody after Malik Neighbors or Isaiah likely emerging in this passing game. And then we have our tight ends here. We have
13:21starts and stashes for these guys as well. Starts, Mikei, he ran a season high 74% route share. That is absolutely huge. He's essentially operating as the
13:29wide receiver three in one of the best passing offenses in the NFL. In terms of full PPR, he's the tight end 12 in
13:34points per game. In half PPR, I believe he's the tight end six in points per game. The usage is now there. It used to
13:39be kind of like random touchdowns here and there, but if a 70% plus route share sticks in any shape or form, Mikei is
13:45going to be an every week starter in fantasy football. Then you have Greg Dolich. He's been sort of slowly coming along here and now he gets Detroit who
13:53is allowing 23.6 and six points per game to tight ends the most in the NFL. Chico Conquo didn't happen this week. I still
14:00do believe in it. He ran plenty of routes. I do believe in the player. I think better days are to come. And then
14:04Michael Mayer here. He's the tight end 15 in points per game. He's a startable streamable tight end next to Brock Bowers. You don't feel good about it,
14:11but he is a fine play. And then some stashes. You have Eli Raren. Hunter Henry hurt. AJ Brown hurt. Everyone's banged up. And after Hunter Henry left
14:21with injury, Raran played 92% of the snaps in this game against Miami. Now, he did only have three targets, one catch for five yards. But his rookie
14:29receiver report stuff has been solid. We can go down to Eli Rarden here across the bottom. 31% of the routes, 42% up to
14:3678% again because Hunter Henry got hurt.
14:38But green across the board in terms of targets per run, yards per run, first downs per run, PFF grade, all of that is
14:44solid. I'm not sprinting to start Eli Rarin, but he does have some upside if this Hunter Henry injury is serious. And
14:50then Terren Ferguson. Now that Devonte Adams is hurt, people forget that Terren Ferguson showed a lot of promise early on in the season. He had nine targets,
14:58six catches, 54 yards, and a touchdown in week two. That was a game, I believe, without Pukanakua. Essentially, if Devonte or Pukanakua miss any game,
15:07which Dvonte is not going to be around for uh, you know, like four to six more weeks at this point, any game that
15:12Terrence Ferguson plays without one of those top two receivers, he is a streamable tight end. They are saying that he could return to practice as soon
15:19as this week. Then we have our quarterbacks here. And I have started to add a superflex uh spot here just because, you know, starting to dabble in
15:28the reddraft superflex streets and the quarterbacks off waiverss is kind of its own thing. But in one quarterback leagues, if you are looking for I'm
15:35trying to think of I mean the Titans and Steelers are on buy, so you're not really hurting at quarterback, but if
15:39you've been streaming, Malik Willis is somebody that even if you don't have an elite quarterback, I think Malik Willis is definitely worth rostering even. So,
15:46uh he's at 20.5 points per game over his last three games. He's been awesome. The Dolphins have gone from dumpster fire to
15:52usable and he gets Detroit this week who's allowing the most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Then JJ McCarthy, this is a shot in the dark, a
15:58swing on upside. He does get Philly this week who's allowing the 10th most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks.
16:03He's shown flashes. He looked good. He's a mobile quarterback. And then Sam Darnold. This one's tough to trust, but he's playing against Arizona, who is
16:11allowing the second most fantasy points to quarterbacks. And then we talk about our Superflex ads here. Of course, Gardenner Mchu is going to start this
16:18week. Who knows for how long, but any starting quarterback is valuable in superflex. Then you have Anthony Richardson. Daniel Jones could get
16:26pulled here in the coming weeks. Could Anthony Richardson step up? And then with Carson Beck, how long does Gardner Mchu last? Because it's pretty clear
16:33that, you know, Jacobe Brassette has been relegated down to QB3. I actually think Jacob Jacobe Brassette isn't a drop in Superflex. I think that he's
16:39actually going to get picked up here very soon or like traded away, whether that's to the Ravens or whoever else needs a quarterback. Uh then you have
16:46Mchu and Carson Beck. We'll see how long Mchu can kind of uh play good football.
16:51And then I think Carson Beck down the stretch of the season ends up starting games. And if you're down bad at
16:55quarterback in a superflex, I think Carson Beck would have some value. But that's going to do it for us today. That
17:01is my must add waiverwire targets for week nine of the fantasy football season. Again, nothing crazy, but I do think there are some decent plays out
17:09there for the taking. Of course, if you want access to my entire FAB guide waiverwire article that comes out every single Tuesday after I post this video
17:18on Patreon, patreon.com/ronwer, you can find the description and the comment section down below. As always, if you enjoyed, leave a like, subscribe
17:26if you're new, and I'll see y'all in the next one.
