0:00What's going on, man? Welcome back to
0:02the basement. I'm Ron and it's Tuesday,
0:04so we're going to talk through my must
0:05add waiverwire targets for week 16 of
0:08the fantasy football season. If you're
0:11watching this video, I assume you are in
0:13the semi-finals of the fantasy playoffs
0:16or maybe you're just trying to fight for
0:18your life in the toilet bowl. Regardless
0:20of your situation, I have you covered.
0:22We are going to talk through the players
0:24to target all under 40% owned and ESPN
0:27lessly. We're going to go through
0:28running backs, receivers, tight ends,
0:30quarterbacks, even some defensive
0:32streamers out there for you guys with
0:35leagues with defenses. As always, if you
0:38enjoy, leave a like, subscribe if you're
0:40new. And the first set of players we
0:43will talk about are the running backs.
0:45My number one ad here is again Blake
0:47Cororm. Surprisingly, only 29.6% owned
0:51in ESPN links. If you want my entire
0:54breakdown for this week's waiverwire
0:56along with my weekly rankings that you
0:59can get for this week to make sure you
1:01are all set and ready to go for the
1:02playoffs, you can find that
1:03patreon.com/ronstewart
1:05in the comments or the description down
1:09below. Now, with Blake Corman, it's
1:10pretty easy. This Rams team scores so
1:13many points that it's almost a Gibbs
1:16Montgomery situation of Kairen Williams
1:18has been scoring points and then Blake
1:19Corm as well has 17.6. and six points
1:22per game over his last three games as
1:24the RB9 over that span. Now, the issue
1:27here is he gets the Seahawks this week.
1:29The Seahawks are a very tough defense.
1:31He's probably like a low-end RB3
1:34in week 16. Then we'll talk about
1:36Michael Carter. And this one is
1:41interesting. Michael Carter is not a
1:43great player, but we do have a situation
1:45where Bam Knight gets hurt in this game.
1:47And shout out to Ryan Heath here
1:50outlining what Michael Carter's usage
1:52looked like once Bam Knight left with an
1:54injury. He had 78% of the backfield
1:56carry share, 10% target share. He got
1:58the only carry inside the 10. That is a
2:01great
2:03role for a guy in Michael Carter who
2:06hasn't really been all that great
2:10over this entire year. I was going to
2:12say like really since his time with the
2:13Jets, but he might be a guy in these
2:15fantasy playoffs where you can start him
2:18and feel good about. So, he's somebody
2:20who's probably available in like every
2:22league, right? We talked about Blake
2:23Corm. In competitive leagues, he's not
2:25out there, but Michael Carter is
2:26absolutely a guy who is hanging out
2:28there on the waiver wire. Maybe your
2:30running back room isn't that strong. He
2:33gets Atlanta this week. Atlanta's a
2:35pretty good defense, but that's to me
2:37about a neutral matchup here. And then
2:39Cincinnati in week 17. So, Michael
2:41Carter, Michael Carter could be a guy.
2:43He is somebody that like if if you need
2:45to, and I will say as well, just a PSA
2:47for all these videos once we get to this
2:49point in the year, it's not even worth
2:50mentioning Fab. If Michael Carter would
2:53go in your lineup this week, empty the
2:56clip on Michael Carter. Uh, then we're
2:58going to get really deep here, fellas.
3:00This is a dynasty darling, a guy who
3:02outproduced Isaac Garendo at Louisville.
3:05Uh, I want to say he was like undrafted
3:08to the Texans. He's stuck around on this
3:10practice squad over the last two years
3:12and now we have a Woody Marks injury.
3:15We'll see if Woody Marks comes back.
3:16We'll see if Nick Chub comes back. So,
3:18this isn't a sprint to the waiverwire to
3:19get this guy sort of deal. But in deeper
3:22leagues, he's not a terrible option.
3:24This is also from Ryan Heath here.
3:25breaking down that once Woody Marks left
3:28Jaward Jordan was the main running back
3:30where Daria Gmbow is going to be your
3:32third down back pass protector but
3:34Jaward Jordan 78% backfield carry share
3:378.3% target share Jaw Jordan I do want
3:41to list kind of his uh measurables here
3:44as well because why not uh with Jaward
3:46Jordan he was I I always like digging oh
3:48it was he was a six round pick by the
3:50way I thought maybe undrafted guy uh but
3:52some people liked him 5'9 and a half 193
3:55pounds
3:56456 40 yard dash. So unders sized and
3:59slow.
4:03But at the end of the day, if he's
4:05getting touches in this backfield, he's
4:06getting touches in this backfield. I
4:07would love to hype him up further than
4:09that. But if Agunwal is the pass
4:11protector and then Chub can't go and
4:13then also uh Woody Marks can't go. Jawar
4:16Jordan will be in RB3 this week. And I
4:18will I'll shout out I guess Joe Mixon.
4:20Maybe Joe Mixon is out there on
4:22waiverwires, but it just there's just no
4:24way. There's, and I say no way in terms
4:27of, it seems like he's already been
4:28ruled out for the season. It'd be a
4:30shocker, but I wouldn't rule it out.
4:33Just keep an eye on that, right? Because
4:34the Texans are actually making a push
4:36here. Could this be I think Joe Mixon
4:38was on the Super Bowl team with the
4:39Bengals. Maybe Joe Mixon kind of sees
4:41like, oh my god, this team is making a
4:42run. They need a running back. Maybe he
4:44rushes back from injury. Just something
4:46to keep an eye on is Joe Mixon. Uh, then
4:49we can talk about uh Audrey Esté and
4:52Evan Hull. Now we are dumpster diving
4:54here uh from Chris Wet here. Devin Neil
4:57gets hurt in the first half. Estimate
4:59then plays 56% of the snaps, only 12.5%
5:01of the designed carries. Remember things
5:03get weird in this offense because Tyler
5:05Shuck can run. Taesm Hill can run. And
5:07then we also have Evan Hull who handled
5:09more carries than Esté, less snaps. He's
5:12more of a passing down back, but he
5:13didn't have a target. Estim is the one
5:15who had a 9.7% target share. But we also
5:18know Kell Mort doesn't like to target
5:19the running back. So, super super messy.
5:22But again, if we're dumpster diving, if
5:23you're in a 16 teamer, if you're just
5:25down horrendous, the Saints running
5:27backs are worth a look. Now, moving on
5:30from that, we can talk about the wide
5:32receivers this week. First up, we have
5:33the Bears receivers. Roma Dunes, I'd be
5:36shocked if he plays the rest of the
5:38fantasy playoffs, right? He comes into
5:40this week with a
5:42I can't remember if it's a hairline
5:44fracture or stress fracture, something
5:46in his foot. His foot's essentially
5:48broken. The fact that he tried to play
5:50and then gets ruled out 2 minutes before
5:52kickoff last week is pretty crazy
5:54against the Browns in the cold.
5:56Regardless, that now opens up a huge
5:59opportunity for Luther Burden. The issue
6:00is Luther Burton gets injured in this
6:02game. There's a chance Luther Burton can
6:04go and that he's full go as a number uh
6:06one or two receiver depending on how you
6:08feel about DJ Moore. And he looked great
6:10in this game on just 16 routes. He had
6:12seven targets, six catches, 84 yards,
6:14over a five yards per route run. He had
6:16season highs in targets and receptions
6:20in this game, but the injury makes it
6:23tricky, right? Keep an eye on if he's
6:24going to suit up this week. If not, he's
6:25only rostered in 15% of ESPN leagues. On
6:28the other hand, if Burton can't go, if
6:30Odun can't go, all of a sudden, Ole
6:33Zakius becomes an interesting name in
6:36deep leagues as a guy who maybe you can
6:38get a spot start out of him. He had a
6:40game earlier this year, eight targets,
6:42six catches, 58 yards, and a touchdown
6:44versus Cincinnati. He gets Green Bay
6:46this week, which is a tough defense, but
6:48they did lose Micah Parsons this past
6:50week. Then I'll shout out AD Mitchell
6:52still out there in about 70% of ESPN
6:54leagues. He's been the wide receiver 19
6:56over the last three weeks, 15 points per
6:58game over that span. Brady Cook is bad.
7:01Jets quarterbacks in general have been
7:03bad, but this week you do get a
7:05favorable environment in that New
7:07Orleans Saints dome. Maybe Ad Mitchell
7:09can come through for you in your flex
7:11spot. Then we're going to go even
7:13deeper. We have Jaylen Coker. He's
7:14running routes now up there with
7:16Legette, up there with Tedo McMillan. He
7:18scored touchdowns in back-to-back games
7:20and he gets Tampa Bay this week.
7:21Probably like a neutral to a negative
7:22matchup, but it's a do or die game.
7:25Coker has been hot recently. You're kind
7:27of just hoping for another long
7:28touchdown in your flex spot. And then
7:30same deal with Darius Sllayton. He might
7:32be out there. He's coming off a 10
7:33target game. You're hoping for a spike
7:35week. The Giants do have the Vikings
7:37this week. A very tough matchup, but
7:39again, we're dumpster diving here. Uh
7:41then we can talk about kind of our
7:42miscellaneous items here. We have our
7:44tight ends. First up, Kobe Parkinson
7:47still out there in like 90% of ESPN
7:49leagues. He led the Rams and routes run
7:51this week. Devonte Adams is banged up on
7:52a short week. Yes, Seattle's a tough
7:54defense. But Kobe Parkinson is the tight
7:56end four with 13.5 points per game since
7:59week 10, and he's run 70% or more of the
8:01routes two weeks in a row. That should
8:04continue with Devonte Adams banged up.
8:06Then we can talk about Darren Waller,
8:07who sneaky last night tilted a lot of
8:10fantasy playoff matchups. He was the
8:12tight end
8:1412 in points per game
8:16through last night's game. He had 25.6
8:19PPR points on Monday night. And now he
8:22gets a Cincinnati team this week who was
8:24allowing the most fantasy points to
8:26opposing tight ends. He is a top 12
8:28start this week. Brett Strange a little
8:30tougher. He's on a cold streak right
8:32now. He started the year a little
8:33hotter. Cold streak now. Parker
8:35Washington back in the mix. Kobe Meyers
8:37of course. Brian Thomas. ETN has been a
8:39crazy receiving threat over the last
8:42game or so. Brett Strange probably
8:45someone like the tight end 15 to 20
8:47range this week, but he is a decent
8:49streamer option off the street in deeper
8:52leagues. Now, we're going to go five
8:53deep for quarterback just in case you
8:55lost Mahomes and you're struggling out
8:57here. I will say I don't like his
8:59matchup, but if you need somebody for
9:01this stretch run, I think that you
9:03should roster two quarterbacks. One of
9:04them being Marcus Mariota. Now, Mariota
9:07plays I believe I was going to say
9:10Denver. I don't believe it's Denver. Uh
9:13Philly, who's a really tough match up
9:14for quarterbacks. Mariota, I wouldn't be
9:16crazy about starting this week, but he
9:18is somebody you can start. Now, if you
9:19want to play the matchups for this week,
9:20right, you can do a little uh put
9:22Mariota on your bench for his week 17
9:25game at home against Dallas. That is the
9:27big one for Mariota. And then this week,
9:29you can start. I know Tua was terrible
9:31versus the Steelers, but they're going
9:32to be in Miami, warmer weather against
9:36the Cincinnati Bengals, who are allowing
9:37the second most fantasy points to
9:39quarterbacks. And then also the Dolphins
9:41are projected by Vegas for the third
9:43most points this week with a projected
9:45overunder in this game of 50.5 tied for
9:48the highest of the week. Then we have
9:50Tyler Shuck who's kind of been balling.
9:52He has been a good quarterback. He's
9:54winning games for the Saints over his
9:56last three games or really four of his
9:58last five games. He has scored 18 or
10:00more fantasy points at quarterback. He
10:02gets the Jets at home in the New Orleans
10:05Dome. The Jets allow the 10th most
10:07fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks.
10:09This one I like as well. Aaron Rodgers
10:12in that Detroit dome.
10:15I don't want to see Rogers out there in
10:17the cold. I know he actually looked
10:18pretty good on Monday night, but this is
10:20another game actually tied with the
10:21Miami Bengals game for the highest
10:24overunder at 50.5. The Steelers are big
10:26underdogs here. are going to have to
10:28pass the ball from behind against a
10:29Lions defense, allowing the fifth most
10:30fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks.
10:33Then we have JJ McCarthy. And by the
10:35way, this is how I would rank them for
10:36this week. Then we have McCarthy. Giants
10:38are allowing the fourth most points to
10:40opposing quarterbacks. It's going to be
10:42in New York, so it should be colder. Uh
10:44but McCarthy is on a hot twoame streak
10:46here. And then you have Kurt Cousins on
10:49the road versus Arizona. We've only
10:50really seen Kirk Cousins play well
10:52against the Buccaneers this year, but
10:55Arizona is in a dome. The Falcons
10:57project for the eighth most points by
10:59Vegas this week, but Arizona has been
11:01pretty stingy against opposing
11:02quarterbacks. But I will say since Kobe
11:04Basset has come in, a lot of these
11:05Arizona games have been I don't know if
11:08I would call it shootouts, but Arizona
11:11runs so many plays that it just creates
11:14environments for lots of yards and
11:15touchdowns in their games, right? Like
11:17last week against Houston, uh they still
11:19scored 20 points against Houston.
11:20Houston put up 40 points. just like
11:22their pace of play when they're behind
11:24uh creates really good fantasy football
11:26environments. Then we'll talk about some
11:28defenses here. Saints at home versus the
11:31Jets uh Jets. The Jets are allowing the
11:33eighth most fantasy points to opposing
11:35defenses this season. Brady Cook is
11:37probably the quarterback, but if not,
11:39the Jets quarterbacks haven't been good
11:40all year. Then you have Chiefs at Titans
11:43without Mahomes. This is going to be a
11:45low-scoring defensive matchup and the
11:47Titans allow the fourth most points to
11:49opposing defenses. And then you have the
11:51Vikings probably not available, but if
11:53they are, they are the 13th best defense
11:55on the year and they play the Giants who
11:57are allowing the 12th most fantasy
11:58points to opposing defenses. Now, that
12:01is going to do it for us today. As
12:03always, if you enjoyed this video, leave
12:06a like, subscribe if you're new, good
12:08luck in the fantasy football playoffs,
12:10and I will see you guys in the next one.
12:17That's right.
