0:43See fox.com for complete terms and conditions. Sometimes it is just as important to know who not to draft as it is
0:49who to draft, who to avoid versus who to target.
0:52So today's show, the five wide receivers we would not touch with a 10-foot pole based on their current draft slot.
0:58Hayden, take it away. Who's named number one? This pains me because I've loved Cortland Sutton, but I do have him as a strict fade here.
1:05He's going to be 30 years old. In comes Jalen Waddell.
1:09If you just look at the history of the Sean Payton offense, a lot of like quick hitting stuff, a lot of manufacturer touches.
1:15Those were never going to Cortland Sutton. Those are definitely going to be going to do Jalen Waddell.
1:20We still have to worry about Marvin Mims, Troy Franklin, R.J.
1:24Harvey, some of the tight end stuff they have.
1:26So I just think that the Cortland Sutton target share is going to drop from 21% last year.
1:31He was the wide receiver 19 in expected points.
1:34I think he's not come close to those numbers just because I think that Jalen Waddell obviously trade a first rounder plus for him.
1:40They're going to have a huge game plan there.
1:43He's still priced as a wide receiver three. I think he's going to be a very inconsistent wide receiver four.
1:49Half PPR best ball. It's okay. A lot of you guys play full PPR redraft.
1:53I've seen the target shares are going to come down.
1:56And last note for him, the Broncos are 21st in projected points right now in the betting markets.
2:01Last year, the Broncos fully healthy offensive line. Bo Nix was healthy.
2:04Corlin Sutton was healthy. They were 15th in scoring.
2:07So I think some regression just based off of the really lucky season from the Broncos on offense.
2:12I think that's just going to get a slight tick down as Bo Nix comes off this ankle injury.
2:17Too many red flags for me. Well, and the other thing we talk about is when your defense can literally win you
2:24games, your offense doesn't have to score as many points.
2:26So while so often people cite, well, bad defenses lead to us score more fancy points.
2:31The two best defenses in the league or three best can prevent your offense from having to chase that ceiling every single time.
2:37Right now, Cortland Sutton is the wide receiver 38.
2:40The eighth pick of the seventh round is interesting.
2:42The markets think he's going to hang on to those receiving totals.
2:46He's projected for around 775 receiving yards. That's more than Brian Thomas Jr.
2:50Who is going ahead of Cortland Sutton. That's more than Parker Washington, who is going ahead of Cortland Sutton.
2:55That's more than Makai Lemon, who is going ahead of Cortland Sutton.
2:58So one area for me that he might be able to jump up a little bit.
3:03It's interesting when you look back at the 2025 Denver Broncos, Troy Franklin actually led this team in targets inside of the
3:0920 yard line with 18 caught 14 of those for four touchdowns.
3:12I mean, a 77% catch rate in that area of the field.
3:16That might be one of, if not the highest percentages across the NFL.
3:20And I wouldn't be surprised if Troy Franklin is now like the water zero four on this team behind Jalen Waddle, Cortland Sutton and Pat Bryant.
3:27And so I do wonder since he was second last year of Sutton, if he can do better than, you know, just
3:33six receptions on 17 targets inside the red zone last year.
3:36Yeah. Some of those targets to Troy Franklin in the red area are like little bubble screens and stuff.
3:42If everything, it's like big red zone fades where obviously Cortland Sutton could come down with eight touchdowns again this year.
3:48I'm playing the under on the underdog projections of the season long stuff.
3:51I see if those numbers are a tad too high for me.
3:55So basically your court and Sutton statement is I just want to take a lot of Jalen Waddle at wide receiver 25
4:01at the 12th pick of the fourth round. I'll take the 27 year old who just spent a first rounder plus for
4:07Sean Payton over the 30 year old. Yes, right.
4:10Who Sean Payton is basically saying, yeah, he's going to totally change our offense.
4:14Like he is the player that's going to take us over the top.
4:17Yeah, I can totally buy that. Okay. I want to talk about Malik neighbors.
4:21Malik neighbors. Awesome talent right now. Wide receiver 14, the seventh pick of the third round.
4:26But let's also keep in mind that he had ACL reconstruction and a lateral meniscus repair.
4:30I just want to take everyone through the timeline here on April 7th.
4:34We get from John Harbaugh that Malik neighbors won't be on the field until quote into training camp and closer to the season.
4:41Then a month later, May 13th. We learned that Malik neighbors underwent a quote cleanup procedure on his knee in the previous weeks.
4:47Remove scar tissue that was causing stiffness in his knee during a rehabilitation and that they are hopeful for week one.
4:53A week later, May 22nd. John Harbaugh says the team is not sure when Malik neighbors will return to the field.
4:59Not a quote simple knee maintained that a return by camp.
5:02It's still the goal, but said the team will see what happens.
5:05This must be the most optimistic, the most positive moments for all these players and coaches and teams during this period.
5:11And it feels like with Malik neighbors, Hayden, that we are getting like more and more negative the closer we get to training camp.
5:18I mean, we're talking about an injury in week four of last season in October and the side and the timeline is still incredibly murky.
5:25So I'm a bit nervous and I'd love to get your take on this.
5:29If we're going to an outcome where he misses multiple games, where he sits multiple games.
5:34And I wonder if we don't see his best until I don't know, week eight of the regular season.
5:39And then I look at who is being drafted around Malik neighbors at this point in the middle of the third round.
5:45And it's after him, it's a flowers T Higgins and then wide receivers.
5:49We think that can like win leagues this year and maybe Ladd McConkie, Garrett Wilson, any mech egg Buka.
5:54So while the ADP, and we'll get into that in a moment, has taken a downturn here from my league neighbors over
6:01the last few weeks, I still think it's too expensive for where I want to take him because I think it's only
6:07going to drop the closer we get to the season.
6:10Yeah, I didn't love that softball game where he was running down the first baseline.
6:14It did not seem like he was moving cleanly.
6:16It's ACL plus setback there. My assumption is he's back in week five.
6:20I think he's going to start the season on the PUP list, not just training camp with actual PUP list.
6:26I would be surprised if we get good news in training camp.
6:29So I think his ADP is going to continue to drop just a little bit.
6:33I've got him ranked 38th overall. So after a couple of those names that you just listed there, the hard part is
6:40that once he gets back, if he's fully healthy, like he's going to dominate that.
6:44I just don't think that like the baseline assumption should be he's ready to go after like a slow offseason that he's
6:50like the same Malik neighbors that we're accustomed to.
6:53So I wouldn't be surprised if he's like, you know, the wide receiver 12 in points from week eight on, but not
6:59the wide receiver three, which we've had at times here.
7:02So if you want to take the risk, I'm OK with it.
7:05I kind of like the risk a little bit more in redraft leagues because what six out of 12 teams make the playoffs were in best ball.
7:13Only two out of the 12 teams and they make the playoffs.
7:16It's a little bit harder to advance if you're going to be taking a bunch of zeros.
7:21The other part of this is oftentimes in round one and round two, and especially let's say if you are drafting from
7:27the seventh slot right now, then you can start Christian McCaffrey and Derek Henry.
7:31Do you really want Malik neighbors who might not be at full strength until about week eight to be your wide receiver one off the board?
7:39Like that is sacrificing five, six, seven games from your number one wide receiver that you drafted.
7:43Like that gets, you know, just murky for me.
7:46I wonder like on Labor Day, you guys come back to the channel and he's now at 40th overall.
7:51And Josh was like, all right, now it's time for us to go all.
7:55Yes. ADP has fallen enough. I just don't think that the ADP is not all of us going to be like, and he's back up.
8:02I think it's more likely he's going to fall another five spot than it is for him to climb five more.
8:08And you always talk about how it's difficult for players to drop versus climb because when they drop, people think that they're just getting ADP value.
8:16And so that takes just much longer. Guess what?
8:18We're about to have a month of silence and I think it'll only go in that direction.
8:23But if he just returns, I don't know, the last week of August somehow and is at training camp, then we'll see a spike, you know, immediately.
8:31And so just right now of where he's going, the seventh pick of the third round, you know, despite dropping eight spots
8:37and that's dropped from the wide receiver nine to wide receiver 14.
8:40I still don't think this is like the bottom value that we're going to get with Malik neighbors and draft system.
8:46He the hell of a football play, which this is just not the year.
8:50And they need him. I mean, the wide receivers is Darius Layton and Malachi Fields.
8:54And we can go down the list. The other part of this is, you know, the Giants also talking a lot about we're going to run the football.
9:02Yada, yada. Not necessarily pass first, but they'll be passing more if Malik neighbors.
9:06That's for sure. All right. My next name is Jacoby Myers.
9:09Pretty similar conversation to the Coral and sudden once I'll make this one pretty tough from week 11 on.
9:15That's when he was a full time player for Jacksonville.
9:18This includes the playoff games. He was the wide receiver 26.
9:21That was when Brian Thomas forgot how to play football.
9:24That was without Travis Hunter. And then that was also with Parker Washington in the middle of a breakout.
9:29I think that Parker Washington tape is actually pretty good.
9:32Brian Thomas is lighting things up in training camp.
9:34They drafted a blocking tight end. Not only did they block or they draft him in the second round.
9:40In the offseason period, they've like doubled down on how important he is to the point where I think that there's going
9:46to be some two wide receiver sets, some more tight end involvement here.
9:50And not much of three wide receiver sets. Jacoby Myers is a glue guy.
9:54You don't get that many fancy points for glue guy stuff.
9:57I think that there's a chance that Brian Thomas breaks out in a big way.
10:01Parker Washington can use continues to ascend. Or if Travis Hunter gets there, gets involved as a wide receiver for if not
10:07more than that, that Jacoby Myers kind of like he's a wide receiver for wider receiver five in fantasy.
10:13So he's just drafted too high. Got him ranked 125th overall.
10:16I think there's more exciting names all around them.
10:18It's interesting. Not often do we disagree to this extent, but I think I disagree with a lot of your points that you made about Jacoby Myers.
10:26The first one is that I think he's going to be out there in two wide receiver sets.
10:31Like if you go and read John Shipley, he noted that Jacoby Myers and yes, it's the dreaded run blocking reasoning, but
10:37that's what he's getting out there in two wide receivers.
10:40And he basically then will rotate the Parker Washington, Brian Thomas Jr.
10:43stuff. And look, that's all fluid. Who knows? I still think, you know, the 11 personnel three wide receiver sets is their
10:50best personal grouping, the most talented personal grouping. But again, you don't spend a second round pick in Borg Kircher and not use him.
10:56Yeah. You know, a player that they loved and wanted to quote unquote shock the world.
11:01I guess what I do agree with you is that even when last year and you look at when everything settled for
11:07this team, Jacoby Myers was playing a lot at that point.
11:10Like if you go from week 12 and on, that was 84%, 92, 83, 87, 88, 94%.
11:15Again, every single game he played the most wide receiver snaps on the team.
11:19It still wasn't like a huge outcome. You know, it was wide receiver 27 and points per game during that stretch.
11:25So could you make the case that even if he plays technically fewer snaps, could Parker Washington outscore him because he's more explosive?
11:32Could Brian Thomas Jr. Outscore him? Yes. I think that's fair.
11:35That's also to me why they are being selected before him.
11:38And Jacoby Myers is the wide receiver three among all Jaguars right now.
11:41It's just not very often that we get the third wide receiver in an offense to be fantasy relevant.
11:47And that's not even accounting. You know, we have Brenton Strange who we like and Basil Toon is going to get some receptions this year.
11:54And, you know, Travis Hunter, the second overall pick is still a threat.
11:58So I just think on a baseline thing, it's fine.
12:00Like baseline projection, he's kind of priced where he is.
12:03There's just like other ways where I think this thing could get sideways.
12:07And even last year, late down the stretch, Brian Thomas wasn't healthy on top of things.
12:11It's like not only was he not playing well, he like was missing time during the Jacoby Myers run.
12:17So I think there's just a lot more things that are coming his way.
12:21And I just would be surprised if they're like, we got to get this offense schemed around Jacoby Myers when you have all these more exciting pieces.
12:28I do think there is something to Jacoby stabilizing what they were trying to do, like the intermediate over the middle stuff.
12:35And hopefully Brian Thomas Jr. is more willing of doing that this year when he is healthy.
12:39Another year in the system and the offense and all that type of stuff.
12:43But, you know, the intermediate over the middle catching traffic has been a staple of Leon Cohen dating back to his days with the Bucs.
12:51And Jacoby was very willing to do that. So I get both sides of this one, but I think I'm more in disagreement here.

13:18Okay, this is kind of turning to a mash unit for me because my next name is Alec Pierce.
13:23And don't get me wrong, Hayden. I mean, I think you and I, as the season was going along, were early in
13:30the Alec Pierce is, you know, transitioning his game into becoming a more complete wide receiver.
13:34I mean, he's a legit NFL wide receiver is being paid as one right now.
13:38And you saw it as the season went along again, digs and breakers on top of the single high vertical shots that
13:45they forced defenses into when John Taylor was running at a high level.
13:48We know that he led the NFL in yards per catch for the second straight season, 21.3 yards.
13:53But here's my question to you, Hayden. What is more concerning?
13:56Daniel Jones is Achilles injury that he's returning from or Alec Pierce's ankle surgery that he's returning from.
14:02Probably his own ankle is concerning. He looked pretty stiff in the video that we had here.
14:06There's a chance that this thing lingers into the season.
14:09We'll see how much training camp experience he's going to get here.
14:13He did not want to have the surgery. Like that was what we learned here is that he was trying to have
14:19like rehab it and then realized this was not going to work out.
14:23Then got the surgery later in the offseason. So yeah, it's concerning here.
14:26I will say there's still, I think, a lot of upside for Alec Pierce.
14:30So I think that's what makes this difficult is like it's very obvious.
14:34His ankle is turned backwards. That's not good for fantasy points.
14:37But with Michael Pittman gone and maybe the Colts aren't beating everybody by 25 points at halftime this year, all of a
14:43sudden, Alec Pierce looks a lot better. My question was what's more concerning to you in terms of Achilles or Alec Pierce's ankle?
14:50The answer is both. It's a trick answer because with Alec Pierce's draft slot that you're selecting with, you're drafting both.
14:56You know, you're hoping Daniel Jones comes back and plays like the top 12 quarterback that he did when Alec Pierce, you
15:02know, had a heck of a season. And obviously Alec Pierce had production with the other quarterbacks they had out there on the field too.
15:09But you're also looking at a skill position talent that is going to be using that ankle every single time.
15:15As you said, they tried to avoid it at first.
15:17They were forced into the surgery. In April, we got a three-month recovery timeline from GM Chris Ballard.
15:23Then Alec Pierce on June 10th said it's actually going to be a four to six-month recovery.
15:27And his goal is to return, quote, late in camp.
15:30Late. So he really hasn't fallen at all since that remark.
15:33I mean, he fell three overall spots from 73rd to 76.
15:36And again, I'm just going to take the stance that the draft slot is only going to drop more as more players
15:43show out in training camp and preseason action that are around him.
15:46I'm with you. Alec Pierce is a heck of a talent.
15:49This has immense upside. I just think we're going to get even better value in a couple of weeks here.
15:55Yeah, the wider save is going right after. I'm kind of interesting.
15:58Like DK Metcalf, similar to Alec Pierce. And then Corlin Sutton, who's just on my fades list.
16:03And then Jaden Reed, part-time player. And then Quentin Johnston, I think would be an interesting kind of comp for him.
16:09Like those are the next names. And then Josh Downs gets drafted the round after.
16:13Like, would you straight up rather have Josh Downs than Alec Pierce right now?
16:17I think I would still be on team Alec Pierce just based off of the more proven upside in fantasy.
16:23But I can see those guys being priced pretty close together in the next couple of weeks.
16:28Yeah. And if you really want to game the system, I also believe if it does return late in training camp, that
16:34the opening four weeks or the four games will be slow.
16:37And we know how long the season is and how often people panic, especially for, you know, where these guys are being drafted.
16:44Again, Alec Pierce right now is going in the seventh round, and that might even be different in your home leagues.
16:49So there's a trade window, I think, to go out and get Alec Pierce during that time, too.
16:55Yeah. Just do not discount how good Alec Pierce was.
16:57I mean, he just torched the Texans twice down the stretch.
17:00He was a wide receiver 10 in his last four games.
17:04He was a wide receiver 23 over the entire course of the season.
17:07Obviously, there's some, like, negative progression on a lot of the downfield stuff with him.
17:12But I do think that he was, like, a very good wide receiver down the stretch.
17:16So boom bust. And there's no one behind him.
17:19I mean, it's Nick Westbrook-Kine is battling him and Josh Downs for two wide receiver set stuff.
17:23You know? You know, I'm just relentlessly drafting Tyler Warren at this point, and we'll see how that goes.
17:29That goes for me. Okay. One more name for you.
17:32Who is it? I'll just go all the Titans wide receivers.
17:35Just came across a stat that I just could not shake.
17:38No Titans player had more than 3.5 receptions per game last year.
17:41I mean, that's not good. Only Calvin Ridley cleared 33 yards per game, and that was at 44 yards and a half season there.
17:48So we have just a bunch of new target competition, Wyndale Robinson and Cardinal Tate.
17:52I really like Cardinal Tate individually. I do think this is a brand new offense for Cam Ward.
17:57I thought the Cam Ward film was mildly concerning for, like, this year.
18:01I see the talent, but there was a lot of things that I thought were just like, okay, like, this seems like he's swimming a little bit.
18:09I'm not sure how much I trust Brian Dayball here.
18:12And then all the offseason reports have been Cam Ward is really struggling.
18:15Like, that's consistent ESPN, AZ Sports. You can look across the beat writers for the Titans.
18:20They're all saying Cam Ward is looking not that great right now.
18:23So for Cardinal Tate, there's some players that I like ahead of him in fantasy.
18:27And then in Wandale Robinson, I just don't think he's going to get the same exact target share.
18:32I don't think that he's a lock for two wide receiver sets.
18:36Calvin Ridley is still making, like, things like $15 million this year as a 32-year-old.
18:40He's still healthy and involved. They have Elika Yuminor.
18:43They have Chimiri Dike. They want to get involved.
18:45Like, it can just be a little bit more spread out evenly than we want to admit.
18:50And I think the pie that we're talking about here could be pretty concerning on a pretty bad Titans team.
18:56Interesting. Once again, we're on opposite ends of this.
18:58Like, I just brought up a couple videos ago how I think Cardinal Tate is a great value and still stuck at that wide receiver 30 area.
19:06Namely because, you know, rarely do we get someone with this draft capital, the fourth overall pick, albeit in, you know, the 2026 NFL draft.
19:13Right. And if it's a loss, then it's like a small loss.
19:16But when it's a win, it's a massive win.
19:19But it kind of goes back to what you're saying.
19:22If I'm reading between the lines with you, Hayden, you're kind of out on Cam Ward.
19:26Like, you're at least down on Cam Ward. Like, obviously, you said that Jackson Dart would be your redraft number one overall pick that year.
19:33And then just reading between the lines here with Cardinal Tate and obviously Wanda where he's going in the 10th round.
19:39Just being overall out on this offense is really fascinating to me.
19:43Yeah. I mean, there's clearly potential to Cam Ward.
19:45Like, his best plays were awesome. I thought there was a lot of work between those.
19:50And Cam Ward can be really good in year three, year four.
19:53But that's not the point of this podcast. There's a lot of moving parts with brand new offense, brand new coaching staff,
19:59brand new wide receiver, one brand new slot wide receiver.
20:02The offensive line is going to be miserable. I mean, look at the starting line.
20:06The line's going to be complete dog shit. I didn't think that Cam Ward played that great under pressure.
20:12So nothing against Cardinal Tate. Go watch our pre-draft video on Cardinal Tate.
20:16I think he's really good. I just think, like, could this be a Roma Doones Day season for the Bears?
20:21Could this be Drake London finishes the wide receiver 41 on a bad Falcons team as a rookie?
20:26Like, I can see him being the wide receiver 40 and he's priced as the wide receiver 30.
20:31Do you think Wanda was going to keep that kind of verticalness to his game?
20:36Like, did he unlock that in his repertoire or is this more like, hey, we have no one that's like a quick winning wide receiver.
20:43He knows Brian Dayball scheme. And other than that, we have more kind of downfieldish options.
20:47It's probably the latter. I mean, he didn't have Malik Neighbors or anybody else down the field.
20:52That was like Jackson Dart buying time from the ball down the field.
20:56I think he's going to go back. And Russ in that one game against the Cowboys.
21:00And also just like the Cowboys defense just forgot to run cover three.
21:04I think Colonel Tate, again, if it's a loss, it's like a small loss.
21:08But there's some like real, if Kim Ward plays at a high level or above average level, then there's some like, I
21:14think, very positive outcomes we can get from there.
21:17A couple weeks ago, by the way, I also had a video where I talked about DJ Moore and Omar Cooper kind
21:23of being out on their draft capital. But we'll end it there.
21:26We'll end it there after five names. I did want to go through since we're continuing this theme of, you know, updating
21:33injury news because we can kind of forget and stick in our bubble of, hey, all these players are healthy heading into training camp.
21:39And right now we're getting OTAs and mini camps.
21:42And that's simply not the case. So I know you brought about six names to go through quickly.
21:47Yeah. The first two are in New Orleans. Let's start with Chris Olave.
21:51He's dealing with blood clots, which is not something you want to hear about.
21:55In fact, I believe Kellen Moore said he's still recovering from them after they had to keep him out of week 18
22:01game last year with these blood clots. What do you want to say here about Chris Olave?
22:06Yes, blood clots are concerning. And then obviously the concussion history.
22:09He's doing the individual drills, but not the team drills because they do not want him to have contact, which is just like most likely scenario.
22:16This doesn't matter. And 10% of outcomes, this lingers and it becomes a big deal.
22:20And we're talking about a third round pick. So this is just something I'm monitoring.
22:25And then the Jordan Tyson stuff is, I think, equally fascinating because it's the hamstring injury.
22:29I mean, it was a hamstring injury 12 months ago, and it was a hamstring injury throughout the combine and then all
22:35the way up to his pro day where he ran a couple routes.
22:39And he's just has not been participating that much.
22:42Like he's watching practices. He's doing the individual drills.
22:44And then he's just not participating with the team.
22:47Like it's a young, young team. Obviously, they would want these guys to be out there.
22:51It's also June. So like these are strictly not fading them because of injuries.
22:55But I'm hoping that on August 1st, like this is no longer a story.
22:59And it's right now that these guys are priced not overly aggressive, but they're like their picks that matter.
23:05Yeah. Nick Underhill, the goat, did say that, quote, they caught the blood clots early before anything bad could happen and that he will be fine.
23:12He's also hoping to get a new contract before training camp.
23:15It's interesting. Alave, despite being sidelined for all this stuff, has actually climbed an ADP since mid-May from 33 overall to 29 overall.
23:22Wide receiver 14 to wide receiver 12. So again, we're just trying to bring you up to date with all this injury
23:28stuff because it has really impacted some people's ADPs, but then has actually done the inverse with others positively.
23:33Round three, we've got Rasheed Rice, Josh Jacobs, Malik Nabors.
23:36We've got some other guys with bigger issues right now than his, but his is a big deal.
23:41On the Jordan Tyson stuff, yeah. I mean, we think this is just a continuation from the draft process where he ran,
23:47what, like 12 routes at his workout. The ADP has not moved, but I kind of wonder if they're just being exceedingly
23:54careful with him or has the hammy popped up again?
23:56And the answer to that is unknown to those of us on the outside because they don't have to give injury reports during these OTA activities.
24:04They don't have to give updates at all. So whatever information we do get, it's by the kindness of these GMs and head coaches, basically.
24:11Yeah. What makes it so hard is if one of these guys stays healthy and the other guy doesn't, then you're going to want to target these guys.
24:19So it's kind of like a catch-22 where the fact that both of them are battling something right now makes them have
24:25even more upside, but also a crazy low floor.
24:27Okay. Let's talk about Rasheed Rice next. Oh, boy.
24:30Since mid-May, he's dropped from 19 overall to 30th overall, wide receiver 7 to wide receiver 13.
24:35Today, he was released from jail after 30 days where he also did some knee rehab work.
24:40And there was a video of him running away from cell phone cameras in the lobby of jail.
24:45Your thoughts on Rasheed Rice right now are what?
24:47Because it sounds like the NFL is not going to take any more action in suspending him from this most recent, not
24:54issue, but just continuation of what happened last year.
24:56Yeah. Just the failed drug test. I would be surprised if he got suspended, but it's still possible, theoretically.
25:01The big takeaway is he was running out of jail.
25:04So, I mean, the knee rehab must be at least in somewhat of a good enough place because our reporter was trying to chase him down.
25:12So, yeah, there's obviously tons of risk here. There's plenty of time.
25:15It's June 16th. So there's still plenty of time for the Chiefs to feel comfortable, reintegrate them, and then he's going to
25:21be a high upside pick in the third round.
25:24So I would say you never know what's coming next for Rasheed Rice.
25:27I do think his ADP is going to go back up.
25:31I think he's going to be out there on the first day of training camp, and I think the reports are going
25:37to be Rasheed Rice is still very important to the offense.
25:40So I think that I think his ADP is going to go up until the next shoe could drop, and then he could be in the 80s.
25:48So, like, I think that you should have whatever your default ranking is for Rasheed Rice, discount it by 15, 20%, and
25:54then that's your actual baseline for what he should be going as because you just can't trust him.
25:59But I think for the most part, this story is, I think, mostly behind us.
26:03We can kind of predict trends when it comes to drafting.
26:06When Rasheed Rice goes out there and practices fully on the first day, his ADP will probably climb to the top of
26:12the third round, if not at, like, the round two, three turn.
26:16If he was a normal citizen who also, you know, wasn't coming off a knee injury, I would probably rank Rasheed Rice
26:22right next to Drake London and Brock Bowers. Yes.
26:25Yes. Is that fair? Yeah. Yeah. Easily. Yeah. Easily.
26:27I mean, he's been he's been like a top five to top ten receiver whenever he's been healthy.
26:32Yeah. And I mean, again, that might be underselling it a little bit.
26:36Like maybe he should be in the middle of all that stack of eight running backs that we have right there.
26:42Yeah. Like you said, I mean, he's a top seven scoring wide receiver when he is on the field as part of the Kansas City Chiefs.
26:49And, you know, while they've drafted some randers at wide receiver, including Jalen Royals and insert your Cyrus Allens and so on
26:56and so forth, they have really done nothing to replace him as a key focal point and exactly where they want to throw the football.
27:03So I would be drafting Rushy Rice right now if you want to, you know, be a part of the group that
27:09believes in Rushy Rice, because, again, if we're getting ahead of these trends, he will only go up the more he participates in training camp.
27:16I promise in two weeks he will not be right next to Malik Neighbors in ADP.
27:20They are probably going in two different trajectories if I'm predicting it.
27:24OK, Brenna you because next posted a video among other videos on social media where he steps on the scale and weighs 208 pounds.
27:31We could do another 30 minutes on the Brenna you situation.
27:34And if he is theoretically a good pick, Hayden, I think you could say, is he theoretically still a wide receiver in the NFL right now?
27:41I think that's a fair question. I also do think we're probably getting closer to the point where things are going to get better at this point.
27:49He has not helped himself at all. I think that what what could happen is he shows up to the 49ers facility
27:55and that's what gets him pretty much released right away.
27:58But yeah, he's priced now at 194th overall on underdog.
28:01So he's basically going undrafted. We know he's much better than that.
28:04He's 208 pounds. That seems like a good playing weight for him.
28:07He's got a lot to play for after giving up millions and millions and millions of dollars.
28:12You obviously can't trust him. But I mean, start naming some of the wide receivers he's he's right next to.
28:18And if you want to compare talents to Brandon Ayuk.
28:21So like I'm I'm now at the point I'm buying Brandon Ayuk.
28:24Wish me the best. But this is this is my time to buy.
28:28Yeah. I mean, look in your home normal leagues.
28:30You're not even factoring in Brandon Ayuk in your conversation.
28:33This is just the sickos that are thinking about Brandon Ayuk in round 17.
28:37I don't know. I mean, when he missed training camp, we've talked about other wide receivers that are more consistent who missed
28:43training camp and how much that impacts, you know, their production, especially early in the season.
28:48By all accounts, he is trying to force him with his way to Washington.
28:52And it makes sense. They do not have a, you know, legit second outside wide receiver unless you want to hypothesize trail
28:58on Burks or Antonio Williams in that area. Yeah.
29:01I mean, I just haven't seen anything like this over the last six to eight months, basically ever.
29:06And we saw the Antonio Brown stuff. It's Deontay to the bills and took him to the Las Vegas Raiders and then
29:12the shoe and the helmet stuff and all that.
29:15And then, you know, we've seen the Terrell Owen stuff in his past.
29:18But yeah, I think this is a an interesting one with Brandon Ayuk.
29:22And I'm not sure if I'm even going to want to do it in round 17.
29:26Yeah. I mean, like Ted Hurst goes around ahead of them.
29:30I mean, that's a third round pick developmental type who's the wide receiver for like there's there's just other names.
29:35Ted Hurst either. Okay, good. But Isaac Tesla goes two rounds ahead of him.
29:39Isaac Tesla catches about four passes. If you say and I Mitchell, then I'll hear you on that.
29:44I Mitchell like we can we can we can pick our favorites down here.
29:48I just think at some point, Jawan Jennings does go five rounds ahead of them.
29:52Those type of names again playing the ADP game as soon as Brandon signs with the Washington Commanders.
29:58Why don't we guess this? What round do you think he lands in?
30:01If he if you signed with the Commanders today, he would go, let's say, Romeo Dobbs in round 10.
30:07Like, yeah, Khalil Shakir. I mean, I was looking at these names like he'd go ahead of Omar Cooper.
30:12He'd go ahead of Travis Hunter. And so, yeah, this round 11, round 10 area of Romeo Dobbs to Khalil Shakir to Jaden Higgins makes the most sense.
30:20And it could be higher than that. Like, it could be higher than that.
30:24It could. And I think there's a bit of like a tear drop from like Michael Pittman and Matthew Golden down to these other guys.
30:31I think at worst, he would go where Jawan Jennings was going in round 13.
30:35So you have like a it's like a he's 50 ish spots discounted.
30:39And and that's the upside that you get if you're going to take on the zero risk with him.
30:44And also, you know, the next pick after him is Malik Washington, who most likely is going to be a zero this year.
30:51All right. Just to give you more information on players that, you know, we have hyped up here on the show.
30:57Lad McConkie right now is working off to the side during OTAs.
31:00Harbaugh got on the mic right before the show and said, quote, he's working through something.
31:05Again, no injury reports are necessary through the NFL right now.
31:08So we do not know what Lad McConkie is working through at this point.
31:12Do you want to guess? No idea. Just wanted to say he's not practicing.
31:16I'm not going to guess. There's no no point.
31:18Which sucks because, you know, it's a new system.
31:21One that we are really excited for with Mike McDaniel and that, you know, Quentin Johnson and Trey Harris are getting work at this point.
31:28And Lad McConkie is not. And so if we were trying to do the one to one of who could be this
31:34year's, you know, fourth round, third round wide receiver that goes nuclear and wins your fancy football league.
31:39I know myself and others have nominated Lad McConkie.
31:42And that's tough to do when you're not practicing.
31:44I think I think Lad will be will be fine.
31:47I agree. Yeah. How about Roma Dunze? There have been some interesting words he has said this offseason.
31:52We know last year there were some on off splits of when he injured his foot and when he was healthy on this injured foot.
31:59But among other words, he is now saying it is, quote, his new normal.
32:03What does that mean to you? Don't love to hear it.
32:06I will just note. I think that Gen Z is going to be very more open and talking about the realities of their stuff and then hiding it.
32:14I would just be I'm guessing that a lot of football players like if you ask Julio Jones truthfully, how does your foot feel?
32:21Well, we would probably say not great. And I just think that Roma Junze is going to play through it just because
32:27he was being open about does not make his foot injury worse than other people that have had this before.
32:33So I think a lot of football players have foot issues and most of the time they play through it.
32:39I think the big news that went overlooked is he's practicing.
32:42He has his foot injury, but he's practicing. So I think in general, I think it's the words that he used, quote, this is my new normal.
32:49And it's not from a standpoint that I'm always in pain.
32:52But the way my foot broke, there's calluses in there that create a different type of foot structure with those bones, different
32:59types of things that kind of shift things around.
33:01So my new normal is kind of what I'm going into.
33:04No, sounds like he listened to his doctors on.
33:07Yes, he's just reporting the structure shifting around. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
33:10He just keeping it. He's just keeping it a buck.
33:13Yeah. As much as I love Luther Burton, there is, I think, a direct pathway for Roma Dunze, who I also really
33:19like and I think is incredibly talented to us and shows the Bears wide receiver one this year.
33:24And, you know, I don't know. They're going a handful of spots different.
33:28Like it's wide receiver 29 versus wide receiver 21, the 11th pick of the fifth round versus the sixth pick of the fourth round.
33:35So I'm still drafting Roma Junze with good confidence because he's in this cluster of wide receivers of Christian Watson, Rome, Cardinal Tate, Brian Thomas, and Jordan Tyson.
33:43Yep. I think it's a great pick right now.
33:45We'll close with Travis Hunter, as we have talked about relentlessly.
33:48He is still sidelined from that knee injury that he dealt with during the bye week.
33:53What is on my radar the most, Hayden, is when you watch these training camp, or excuse me, these OTA clips, he is wearing a teal jersey.
34:00And the teal jersey means he's quote unquote practicing with the offense and not the white of the defense.
34:06He's going to play both sides of the ball this year.
34:09Like I feel very confident in that. So I just wanted to note that he's not practicing yet because of his knee injury.
34:15And it is one of the more rare knee injuries.
34:18So like among the players we've talked about with injuries, like his could end up lingering maybe a little bit more than we'd want.
34:25So this is just like fully monitoring the situation.
34:28I would guess he finishes wide receiver four in Jaguars in snaps.
34:31And then he's their best corner. So I'm just monitoring this one.
34:34But we talked about this in our year two film review that there's plenty of upside here.
34:39Like he flashed it. Didn't get to see it consistent enough.
34:42And that was partially his fault, partially the offense's fault.
34:45But there's upside here. Just I want him on the practice field eventually.
34:49And again, they probably don't make the playoffs if he's not on the team and doesn't play wide receiver in like the
34:5549ers and the Chiefs games where he had a heavy hand at winning those games with downfield big catches.
35:00With all that said, I still think it's unlikely he clears 45% of snaps on offense.
35:05But that's just my take here on June 16th.
35:0816th. But we also it's OK if like parts of the season he's at 30% and then other parts of the season at 65%.
35:14And then we can start him in the games that he's playing 65% of snaps.
35:19Or sometimes that could be there could be a couple of games where he's at nearly 100% of the snaps.
35:24So I don't think we should always take the averages across the season.
35:28I think there's gonna be some ups and downs with with Travis Hunter here.
35:32And obviously, the earlier he gets into practices, the better because there was he could not line up properly for his rookie season.
35:38So like, I would like to see that eventually.
35:41Here's a take. Maybe now when he actually can't practice and you can kind of get mental reps.
35:46He's doing those mental reps on offense to know about all the alignment and stuff.
35:50And then as soon as we need gets back on the field to actually being able to run around and practice, then
35:56he's just going to go straight back. Yeah, I think that's a good good take.
36:01Okay, well, that does it. Well, more good takes here later in the week.
36:05We have Ian Harditz on the program on Wednesday and then Thursday, the running back version of this.
36:10At least five players are not touching on the 10-foot pole.
36:13So hit that subscribe button. Enjoy another video. And we'll catch you in the next one.
36:17See you.
