Alec Ingold

NegativeRole58:59

The Dolphins brought in Ingold as a fullback/tight end option that will reduce two-or-fewer wide receiver set opportunities for wide receivers on the team, creating competition for targets.

Insight page
NegativeRole59:49

Alec Ingold was brought in by the Rams, contributing to their personnel flexibility in two-or-fewer wide receiver sets, which the source indicates will be at the top of the league.

Insight page

Alec Pierce

NegativeUsage60:19

Alec Pierce is referenced as a comparison point for average depth of target; Devante Adams' average depth of target of nearly 16 yards downfield is comparable to Pierce's, placing both among the highest in the NFL.

Insight page

Ashton Jeanty

NegativeProjection54:14

Jeanty scored dead last in yards before contact among running backs in a study isolating which backs contributed most to poor rushing environments, accounting for gap assignment, defenders in the box, offensive line quality, and dual-threat quarterback impact. The source's film study corroborates this, noting Jeanty appears indecisive and lacks the foot quickness expected of a top-12 overall pick. The source ranks him 17th overall this year, taking many running backs ahead of him despite his current draft position, expecting improvement with better coaching and offensive line but acknowledging a significant leap is required.

Insight page
NegativeRole56:42

Jeanty stated he stopped eating sugar this offseason to improve his shape and cardio, noting he did not feel in good enough shape last year. The source acknowledges this is a positive step and expects Jeanty to play better in year two given his rookie season lacked offseason time, but emphasizes he must play significantly better to justify his first-round draft capital.

Insight page

Blake Corum

PositiveRole60:57

Blake Corum is a key beneficiary of the Rams' number-one rushing success rate and their commitment to the run game. The source indicates the Rams will create runway for Corum and Kyron Williams to execute without mistakes, prioritizing the run over passing, which reduces target volume for wide receivers like Devante Adams.

Insight page

Brock Bowers

PositiveValue44:06

The source argues that Brock Bowers' round-two ADP looks even better when considering the inflated cost of second-wave tight ends (Harold Fannin going round six). The source recommends paying the premium on Bowers rather than waiting for later tight ends.

Insight page

Chase Brown

PositiveRole66:12

Chase Brown has no competition in his backfield and is being selected later than Devon Henry despite playing in a much superior offense, making him a better value pick.

Insight page

Chris Rodriguez

PositiveInjury50:00

Rodriguez stated that the plan is to be back for week one after an offseason foot procedure; he has been doing individual drills. The source notes that the timeline remains ambiguous and a full answer may not be available by week one, but the source is buying the dip on the injury, expecting it to be overblown relative to his draft capital.

Insight page
PositiveValue50:00

The source is drafting Chris Rodriguez in the 12th round, buying the dip on his offseason foot injury. Rodriguez was fourth in first downs or touchdown rate, third in success rate, and eighth in yards after contact—metrics that exceed Basial Tootin's efficiency. The source notes that offseason injuries are often overblown in online discourse and that Rodriguez's value is at its lowest point; he could close the gap with Tootin in the coming weeks as his recovery progresses. The source expects Rodriguez to be back for week one and has been doing individual drills.

Insight page

Chuba Hubbard

PositiveProjection15:45

Played 77% of snaps in 2024, was RB12 on RB7 usage and RB4 in rush yards over expected. Last season's poor performance (negative 21% rush yards over expected) largely explained by injury; he did not look the same coming back. However, in the final playoff game, he finished with two touchdowns and 17 opportunities. Named team captain. Both things can be true: Jonathan Brooks will be a real asset, but Hubbard stays involved as a rusher. His 2024 efficiency when healthy was very strong despite the team being worse.

Insight page

D.J. Moore

NegativeProjection11:45

Drafted as wide receiver 26 on Yahoo despite coming off the worst season of his career. Yards per game dropped from 80 to 57 to 40 over the last three years despite playing in a Ben Johnson offense last year. Bills have been 25th and 30th in dropback rate and 22nd and 30th in percent of yards via passing over the last two years. Question whether DJ Moore is good enough at this point in his career to change Joe Brady and the Bills' offensive approach. Clustered with Terry McLaurin, Luther Burks, Mike Evans, and Roma Dunes, but source prefers to draft more than DJ Moore.

Insight page
NegativeValue14:15

Being drafted as round five pick on Yahoo and in best ball. Has realistic boom-bust expectations. The Bills invested heavily in him via draft capital and contract extension, suggesting they must make it work. Moore's motivation and buy-in may improve in Buffalo with Josh Allen and a Super Bowl-contending environment. However, he's being drafted as if everyone is confident the Bills will change their passing attack, which is uncertain given historical offensive approach.

Insight page

Davante Adams

PositiveUsage60:00

Adams' target distribution is highly volatile and red-zone dependent: 27% target share inside the red zone versus 18% outside; 0% of his targets outside the red zone were screens, indicating no manufactured touches. His average depth of target was nearly 16 yards downfield, comparable to Alec Pierce. The Rams' rushing success rate (number one in the league) and reliance on Blake Corum and Kyron Williams means Adams will remain boom-bust, dependent on either scoring a red zone touchdown or connecting on downfield plays.

Insight page
NegativeProjection60:00

Adams has a notable split in target share between inside and outside the red zone; he had a 27% target share inside the red zone, indicating a significant difference in his usage depending on field position.

Insight page
PositiveRole60:18

Adams' volatility is structural and likely to persist unless Puka Nakua is injured. When both were on the field together, Adams out-targeted Puka 31-10 in the red zone and 28-4 in end zone targets, establishing him as the go-to option only when the Rams abandon the run game. The source notes this pattern has followed Adams across multiple teams (Jets, Packers, Raiders). Kyle Shanahan's consideration of trading Adams for AJ Brown signals the team views him as their second-best receiver, not a target hog, and they intend to keep his role low-volume to prevent him from leaving the field every other play late in the season.

Insight page
NegativeProjection62:08

Despite the volatile, low-volume role, Adams is projected to remain a top-30 receiver when healthy. The source believes his game ages well due to his intelligence, ability to set up corners, and skill finding space. He is being drafted as a wide receiver three, reflecting the expectation that his volatility will persist.

Insight page

David Montgomery

NegativeProjection41:01

The source expresses hesitation with Montgomery as a fifth-round pick on Yahoo, noting that his primary selling point is volume alone—not age, explosiveness, or offensive line quality. Nick Cailey's 19-game play-calling sample shows his ball carriers ranked dead last in explosive run rate and fifth worst in dead run rate; the Texans' new offensive line (Wyatt Teller on the fringe of retirement, rookie center Caitlin Rutledge, Ed Ingram, and Braden Smith with injury concerns) is not a solved position. The source terms Montgomery a desperation running back play in the running back dead zone, especially given the Texans' projected 23 points per game versus the Lions' 28 last year.

Insight page
NegativeUsage43:00

The source expects Montgomery to handle early-down carries while Woody Marks takes passing-down work; if Montgomery underperforms as a rusher, Marks will receive increased opportunities. The source also notes Montgomery has a fragile profile due to high college carries at Iowa State, suggesting eventual decline despite his sturdy reputation. The Texans' defense and CJ Stroud's potential bounce-back could elevate the offense, but if not, Marks' passing-down role will limit Montgomery's upside.

Insight page

David Njoku

NegativeRole58:59

The Dolphins added Njoku as one of several tight end/fullback options (alongside Charlie Kolar and Alec Ingold) that will reduce two-or-fewer wide receiver set opportunities for wide receivers on the team, creating competition for targets.

Insight page

Denzel Boston

NegativeValue23:43

Denzel Boston is the third-latest wide receiver selected for the Browns in drafts, despite being a 39th overall pick. Like Concepcion, Boston is a rookie wide receiver who is being overlooked in drafts, though the source projects one of the two rookies will receive a decent-sized volume share as the Browns shift to a more pass-heavy offense following the Miles Garrett trade.

Insight page
NegativeProjection42:08

The source expresses limited faith in Denzel Boston for 2026, characterizing him as more of a red zone threat and questioning how many red zone opportunities the Cleveland Browns will generate given their offensive limitations.

Insight page

Drake London

NegativeUsage6:15

Wide receiver five on usage from 2024 through week 11 last year—a massive sample. Only Justin Jefferson and Jamar Chase had higher target share at nearly 30% over a multi-year sample. PCL injury in week 11 is a concern, but he appears back to normal and finished the season. Drafted late into the second round, he matches first-round wide receiver target volume but is sandwiched between running backs (Saquon Barkley, Devon Achan, Chase Brown, Amarin Hampton, Derek Henry) in redraft leagues.

Insight page
NegativeMatchup7:30

Difficult to click his name due to quarterback play. Michael Penix Jr. has a totally opposite throwing style to what Kevin Stefanski prefers—Penix throws mostly short and in the middle of the field, while Stefanski-style quarterbacks throw outside the numbers and down the field. Penix is dealing with a back injury and is behind in preparation; this is his second or third ACL tear. Falcons likely to be bottom-10 scoring offense with lots of turnover on offensive line, defense, and coaching staff.

Insight page

Garrett Wilson

PositiveValue59:12

The source targets Garrett Wilson in round four alongside other elite wide receivers (T-Mac, Zay Flowers, Lad McConkie, Jalen Waddle, Mac Higbee) in salary cap leagues, recommending to sweep the board on all of them in that range.

Insight page

Harold Fannin

NegativeValue44:06

The source notes that Harold Fannin is going around round six on Yahoo ADP, which is earlier than other formats. This inflated cost for second-wave tight ends makes round-two premium tight ends like Brock Bowers more attractive by comparison.

Insight page

Ja'Marr Chase

PositiveProjection20:41

Jamar Chase is one of two wide receivers who would benefit from increased play-action opportunities in the Bengals offense. The source notes Chase would be excellent on play-action routes and could see more deep shots if the Bengals successfully implement their offensive coordinator's plan to increase under-center and play-action usage.

Insight page
PositiveUsage21:58

On plays with Jamar Chase and Tee Higgins on the field over the past two years, Joe Burrow has completed 72% of his passes for 8 yards per pass attempt and a 7.3 touchdown rate. The Bengals are implementing more play-action looks in training camp, which could create scenarios where the safety must choose between covering Chase or Higgins, potentially increasing Chase's target opportunities.

Insight page

James Conner

NegativeDepth Chart4:45

Being mentioned frequently in training camp discussions about the running back room despite being pushed to the side by Jeremiah Love and Tyler Algier. There's a chance he could make this a three-back committee, which would terrify anyone spending a two-three turn pick on Jeremiah Love.

Insight page

Javonte Williams

PositiveValue27:42

Going in the fourth round in many leagues, Javante Williams was RB one overall in EPA per carry at the goal line last year and RB three among backs with 10+ carries per game; the source projects him to finish as RB 10 this season, which represents a significant win at the round three-four turn given that many wide receivers at that ADP will bust. His 82.4% snap share inside the 10-yard line last year supports his touchdown-dependent fantasy value.

Insight page
NegativeProjection29:02

The source projects Javante Williams to finish as RB 10 this season, down from RB 8 in expected points and RB 13 in actual points last year. His receiving numbers were among the worst in the NFL last year, which may regress, but his goal-line success and 14 carries per game were the primary drivers of his fantasy production.

Insight page
PositiveProjection45:25

The source argues that Javante Williams doesn't have to be very good to matter in fantasy given the Dallas Cowboys' context: second in neutral pace last year, projected for six most points in 2026, entire coaching staff and offensive line returning, and elite passing weapons (George Pickens, CeeDee Lamb, Dak Prescott) with no changes.

Insight page

Jaylen Waddle

NegativeUsage57:30

Waddle had 46% of his snaps in two or fewer wide-receiver sets last year, providing a contrast to McConkie's 10% and illustrating the difference in personnel deployment between the Dolphins and Chargers offenses.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

NegativeProjection4:45

Third overall pick this past year; expect patience needed early. During Breeze Hall's rookie season under Michael Floor, he reached running back seven in points per game despite a slow start of 12, 8, and 14 touches in the opening three contests. Love should not be expected to get 18 touches in game one; Michael Floor's approach with rookie running backs is gradual. Unless drafting at 1.01, likely won't acquire him given other running back priorities.

Insight page

Jerry Jeudy

PositiveValue42:18

The source highlights Jerry Judy as an undervalued name: a former first-round pick with 1,200 career yards at age 27 whom nobody wants to draft. The source argues that with better offensive line or quarterback play, Judy would be a top-120 pick, but current Cleveland circumstances prevent that valuation.

Insight page

Joe Burrow

NegativeRole20:07

Joe Burrow has not been comfortable working from under center and prefers shotgun formations repeatedly. The Bengals offensive coordinator has indicated they want to increase under-center and play-action usage to become more explosive, despite Burrow's historical discomfort with eyes-on-defense looks. Burrow is expected to execute this shift given his intelligence and understanding of football.

Insight page

Joe Mixon

NegativeProjection66:34

Joe Mixon, when attached to Bobby Sloick, finished as running back eight in points per game, which is exactly where Devon Henry is being drafted; however, the Bengals' 10-7 record and offensive context differ from Henry's situation.

Insight page

Jonathon Brooks

PositiveDepth Chart17:30

Should be the pass catcher if fully healthy and on pace to be a week-one contributor. Running back one in his class and drafted as such. More cuts and impressions during preseason activities will raise his profile. This is his first preseason practice ever. On Yahoo, he's running back 37 in the early 10th round compared to Chuba Hubbard's running back 27, three rounds apart. As he stays healthy and closer to week one, his selection will rise higher. By end of training camp, he'll likely go ahead of Hubbard; by week one, Hubbard may rank ahead again.

Insight page

Jordan Addison

PositiveRole66:48

Jordan Addison is a quality target in the Vikings' KOC offense, which has been the most efficient downfield passing attack in the league (46% success rate on 20+ yard passes from 2022-2024); his presence alongside Justin Jefferson creates an elite receiving environment.

Insight page

Justin Jefferson

PositiveRole66:48

Justin Jefferson is a key target in the Vikings' KOC offense, which features the most efficient downfield passing attack in the league (46% success rate on 20+ yard passes from 2022-2024); his presence alongside Jordan Addison and a strong offensive line creates an elite passing environment for Kyler Murray.

Insight page

Kyler Murray

PositiveProjection66:48

Kyler Murray's downfield passing efficiency was mediocre (31% success rate) with the Cardinals but jumped to 46% with the Minnesota Vikings; in the Vikings' KOC offense with elite receivers (Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison) and a strong offensive line, Murray could elevate to fantasy QB1 status while maintaining his rushing upside, representing a significant improvement from his previous environment.

Insight page

Kyren Williams

PositiveRole60:57

Kyron Williams is a key beneficiary of the Rams' number-one rushing success rate and their commitment to the run game. The source indicates the Rams will create runway for Williams and Blake Corum to execute without mistakes, prioritizing the run over passing, which reduces target volume for wide receivers like Devante Adams.

Insight page

Luther Burden

NegativeRole19:06

Luther Burden is a yards-after-catch demon in the Bears offense, but Roma Odunze has been ranked ahead of him heading into the year after analysis of his targets and the Bears' offensive scheme.

Insight page
NegativeRole20:45

Yards-after-catch demon in the Bears offense. Roma Dunes is not a yards-after-catch demon like Burden is, but Burden could finish as the wide receiver one on the team, with Dunes potentially matching or surpassing him. Source has Dunes ranked ahead of Burden heading into the year.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

PositiveValue29:16

Malik Nabers should go at the end of the second round at this point; the source notes he has scored as a top-10 wide receiver and should not be overlooked despite some people starting to tout him as a bad pick. He is expected to go in the fourth round in many leagues, representing significant value.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

NegativeUsage2:31

Career 1.1% screen rate is a major concern; he's the wide receiver 42 on usage per game over his first two seasons. Despite leading Michael Wilson in targets in all 10 games together last season, he lacks manufactured touches. Training camp footage shows he continues to play X receiver but must catch the ball more and receive gimme looks via screens, slant routes, and mesh concepts to pay off his seventh-round ADP as wide receiver 31. Without these route adjustments, too much target competition in the offense limits upside.

Insight page
NegativeRole3:42

Not a manufacturer-of-touches player; struggles with contested grabs and back-shoulder timing. Despite bulking to 220 pounds last season, he still loses contested catches to lighter, smaller cornerbacks too often. His profile has too many flaws for a top-five overall pick, and the dynamic may worsen as the season progresses, especially if Jacobi Bursette doesn't finish the season.

Insight page

Puka Nacua

PositiveRole60:18

Puka Nakua is the primary manufactured-touch receiver for the Rams, receiving all of the screen passes and short-area targets that Devante Adams does not. When both were on the field together, Adams out-targeted Nakua 31-10 in the red zone and 28-4 in end zone targets, establishing Nakua as the complementary option in the red zone but the primary beneficiary of the Rams' manufactured-touch scheme.

Insight page

Quentin Johnston

NegativeRole58:00

QJ is competing with Trey Harris for targets in the Chargers' wide receiver room alongside McConkie, with the source hoping McDaniel positions McConkie as the primary option similar to Jalen Waddle's role in Miami.

Insight page

Rome Odunze

PositiveBreakout18:54

Roma Odunze has the potential to finish as the wide receiver one on the Bears; he is fluid in route running (out patterns, post routes, corners) and has T Higgins-adjacent upside as a 2-3 turn draft pick. However, his success depends on variance—he needs to catch easy passes and Caleb Williams must improve accuracy on downfield throws, as 27% of passes in Odunze's direction were deemed inaccurate over the final eight games when he was also banged up.

Insight page

Sam Darnold

PositiveMatchup67:04

Sam Darnold, despite taking some dumb sacks in the Vikings' KOC offense, was hitting on all of the downfield passing plays, demonstrating the efficiency of the Vikings' downfield attack and suggesting Kyler Murray could thrive in the same system.

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

PositiveDepth Chart65:45

Saquon Barkley is already going ahead of Ken Walker in draft rankings on every platform, indicating he is the preferred running back option.

Insight page

Tee Higgins

PositiveProjection20:41

Tee Higgins is one of two wide receivers who would benefit from increased play-action opportunities in the Bengals offense. The source notes Higgins would be excellent on play-action routes and could see more deep shots if the Bengals successfully implement their offensive coordinator's plan to increase under-center and play-action usage, potentially returning to the single-high safety looks that existed when the receivers entered the league.

Insight page
PositiveUsage21:58

On plays with Jamar Chase and Tee Higgins on the field over the past two years, Joe Burrow has completed 72% of his passes for 8 yards per pass attempt and a 7.3 touchdown rate. The Bengals are implementing more play-action looks in training camp, which could create more deep shot opportunities for Higgins as the safety is forced to choose between covering Chase or Higgins, potentially increasing his target share.

Insight page

Travis Kelce

PositiveProjection51:42

Kelce is now drafted as tight end 10, 91st overall on Yahoo, despite being tight end eight in points per game last season. At age 37, his target rate fell to a career-low 18.8% of routes last year—his first season below 20%. He has been below 1.5 yards per route run in each of the last two years and scored five or fewer touchdowns in three consecutive seasons. The source theorizes that Kelce and Rashee Rice cannot both be good simultaneously because they overlap in the same area of the field (zone and underneath routes); since Rice is younger, faster, and more athletic, Kelce has shifted from being a dependable target and opportunity player to a touchdown-variance tight end.

Insight page
PositiveMatchup54:12

In games with Rashee Rice active last season, Kelce had a 19% target rate and only four receptions despite Xavier Worthy also not being at full strength. The source expects Kenneth Walker to be the focal point of the Chiefs' offense, potentially shifting them toward a more middle-of-the-pack pass rate (historically first, second, or third). With Patrick Mahomes coming off a torn ACL, the source expects fewer elongated plays where Kelce thrived, further limiting his upside.

Insight page

Tre Harris

NegativeRole57:54

Harris and QJ are competing for targets in the Chargers' wide receiver room; the source notes Harris played ISO wide receiver snaps last year under a different coach and does not expect that role to continue this year, suggesting his role may shift in the new scheme.

Insight page

Tucker Kraft

NegativeProjection37:51

Led all tight ends with +0.91 EPA per target last year and averaged 11.4 yards per target despite a 4.5 average depth of target—a combination that is nearly impossible to repeat given his underneath role; however, the source notes only freakish tight ends achieve such efficiency, and Craft is compared to George Kittle for his yards-after-catch ability and ability to turn short receptions into longer gains. Coming off a torn ACL, the source is conflicted: regression is likely, but historically freak athletes in their prime who recover from ACL injuries can maintain elite production.

Insight page
PositiveInjury40:13

The source observed Craft during offseason workouts and noted he is not wearing a bulky knee brace like other players recovering from injury (e.g., Ricky Pearsall); he appears ahead of schedule in his ACL recovery. His injury occurred cleanly halfway through the season, suggesting a potential ramp-up in September followed by a return to fringe top-five tight end status. Craft recently stated he will likely come off the active/PUP list very soon.

Insight page

Tyler Warren

PositiveRole44:24

The source identifies Warren as the biggest beneficiary of Michael Pittman Jr.'s departure, even more so than Josh Downs. Warren was tight end three in route participation as a rookie and had the 11th highest red zone target share among all receivers and tight ends league-wide; neither metric is expected to decline. He is the Colts' best screen receiver and benefits from play-action and split-flow action work. The source places Warren in his own tier directly after the big three tight ends (Brock Bowers, Trey McBride, Colson Loveland), with potential to be the focal point of the passing game early in the season if Alec Pearson's injury timeline is unclear.

Insight page
PositiveProjection45:48

In 13 games with Daniel Jones healthy last year, Warren was tight end six on tight end three usage with expected points in line with Brock Bowers. The source notes that if Daniel Jones is not himself, play-callers typically get the ball out quicker, which benefits Warren's skill set. Additionally, if Jonathan Taylor is injured, Warren would likely become the goal-line back, providing multiple upside paths. The source ranks Warren in the 60s overall, significantly ahead of other tier-two tight ends in the 80s and 90s.

Insight page

Woody Marks

PositiveUsage43:00

The source drafts Woody Marks more frequently than David Montgomery, expecting him to handle passing-down work in the Texans' backfield split. While the source admits to not liking what he has seen from Marks on tape, the expectation is that if Montgomery underperforms, Marks will receive increased opportunities, making him a value play relative to Montgomery's fifth-round ADP.

Insight page

Zay Flowers

PositiveProjection8:45

Early fourth-round pick; pathway to becoming a great fantasy asset is touchdowns via red zone targets. Just 10 red zone targets last season and 17 over two years—a glaring flaw. Never scored more than six touchdowns despite being wide receiver 13 in points per game in 2025. New offensive coordinator Declan Doyle (replacing Todd Monken) may reset red zone usage. If Flowers reaches double-digit touchdowns, he could finish as a top-10 wide receiver despite being drafted as wide receiver 17.

Insight page
PositiveRole10:15

Target share is 16% inside the red zone versus 28% outside the red zone over the last two seasons. Yards are there—wide receiver 13 in yards in the last two seasons when Lamar Jackson throws over five passes per game. New coordinator Declan Doyle can manufacture touches to undersized receivers via motion, stacks, and quick-moving routes in the condensed field, similar to how he and Ben Johnson used Amon Ross St. Brown. Flowers is 5'9", 192 pounds, creating a size discrepancy that can be exploited.

Insight page
PositiveValue59:12

The source targets Zay Flowers in round four alongside other elite wide receivers (T-Mac, Lad McConkie, Jalen Waddle, Garrett Wilson, Mac Higbee) in salary cap leagues, recommending to sweep the board on all of them in that range.

1:1532 teams. Yes. 32 earth shattering, potentially league winning fantasy football stats.
1:18Some of these today are going to focus on players, others on coaches, and maybe even one or two questions, Hayden, because
1:24some of these teams really still confuse me despite being, I don't know, five weeks until the regular season kicks off.
1:30Yeah. A lot of moving parts in terms of play callers this year.
1:34I try to take like the, either the most controversial player with the note on this, or maybe a player that we haven't talked about the entire summer.
1:42And that might not fit into some of these preseason training camp narrative.
1:45So a little bit of everything in this one.
1:48Of course. And for those of you that have been with us for a very long time, you know, that when you
1:54see this thumbnail that you clicked on, you know, this is the most important time of the year.
1:59It's stats versus film season, baby. I mean, this is our flag ship show.

2:23season and we cover all 32 teams every single week in this episode today.
2:27I have AFC Hayden has the NFC. So you kick things off with back-to-back teams.
2:31Go ahead. Arizona Cardinals, Marvin Harrison Jr. Career 1.1% screen rate.
2:34I think that is important because that's the reason why he has not been paying off in fantasies.
2:39The wide receiver 42 on wide receiver 40 usage on a per game basis over his first two seasons.
2:45There are so many on-off splits, especially with the Kyler Murray stuff.
2:48One of them though, is he has led Michael Wilson in terms of targets in all 10 games this past season when they were together.
2:55And at the same time, Michael Wilson has talked about when he was balling out, it's because he was playing X receiver
3:01and that the offense was either going through the tight end or the X receiver, not the other stuff.
3:07I looked at the training camp footage. Marvin Harrison is continuing to play that X receiver role.
3:12He's got to catch the ball more in these training camp clips that I'm seeing.
3:16But I think the big thing to overcome what should be a probably a bottom 10 scoring offense and bottom 10 team
3:22this year is he's got to have at least some more gimme looks.
3:26The 1% screen rate is kind of like the obvious thing.
3:29More screens, more slant routes, some more like just like mesh concepts, shallow crosses, that type of stuff is how Marvin Harrison is going to pay off ADP.
3:37And if that doesn't change, I do fear there's just too much target competition in the offense.
3:42Yeah. For a guy that was a top five overall pick, there's just, I think too many flaws in his profile.
3:48I got to be honest. And it's not, you know, recency bias of watching the training camp clips against air dropping passes.
3:54He is not a manufacturer touch guy as you have highlighted.
3:57And then even during his rookie season, and this continues throughout his second season, contested grabs, he just doesn't win those often enough.
4:04And he won them a little bit more often when he bulked up and what went up to 220 pounds this past
4:10season, but still too often when a cornerback that is lighter and smaller goes through him, he loses that.
4:15His timing on back shoulders just isn't there. So while I do appreciate that now we get him and Jacob reset to at least open the season.
4:23Hey, and I think we're on the same page that Jacobi is not going to line up for 17 straight games and
4:29just throw the ball all across the yard. I think in that case, then Marv could pay off the seventh round price
4:35tag that he is on Yahoo as wide receiver 31.
4:38But it just kind of scares me that we don't know that for certain.
4:42And the dynamic might just get worse as the season goes along.
4:46A couple of training camp notes. Jacobi Bursette gets the raise that he deserves, but I don't think that means he's going to finish the season.
4:53Like you said, I do think after the bye week, given that strength of schedule, it could be Carson Beck.
4:59So there's a chance that Marvin Harrison's a wide receiver three up until that point.
5:03And then the offense like really kind of sputters.
5:05And then the other thing is they've been mentioning James Connor a lot when they've been talking about the running back room,
5:12which he's obviously been put pushed to the side because Jeremiah love and Tyler Algier will learn soon enough.
5:17If they're serious about that or if they're trying to trade him, I can see both of those narratives existing.
5:23But there is at least now a chance where James Connor is making this a three back committee, which obviously would terrify
5:29you if you're spending a two, three turn pick on Jeremiah love.
5:32We got to move on. We're not going to spend this much time on every single team, but I will say on
5:39the running back point, we talked about Jeremiah love with Ron Stewart when he was on the program earlier.
5:44And, you know, during breeze halls time with Michael floor during his rookie season, he did get up to running back seven
5:50in points per game when Michael floor was calling those plays.
5:53And that's a spite a slow start of 12, eight and 14 touches in the opening three contests.
5:58So I don't expect Jeremiah love to go out there and get 18 touches in the first game.
6:04That's just not, you know, Michael floor or how all rookie running backs are handled.
6:08Despite again, him being what the third overall pick this past year, but this is one that you need to have patience on.
6:14So I, I understand his price tag. I just also know that unless I'm drafting at the one, one, I probably won't
6:21end up with him because I'm already taking two running backs ahead of that.
6:24Next Atlanta Falcons. Drake London was the wide receiver five on wide receiver five usage from 2024 through week 11 of last year.
6:31That's a massive sample. He obviously had that PCL injury.
6:34One that we'll get to with Ricky Pierce. So it makes you a little bit nervous, but it sounds like he's back to normal.
6:41At least was able to finish the season late last year.
6:44Only Justin Jefferson and Jamar chase had a higher target share, which is almost at 30% over that huge multi-year sample size there.
6:50You look at it, you have Zachary branch and manufactured touch slot receiver, Jahan Dotson, who hasn't really done much.
6:56All the media is a key is that's it.
6:59Like Drake London does not get drafted next to Justin Jefferson and CD lamb at the end of round one.
7:04I'm not sure if he should just because it's the Falcons and not those two offenses.
7:09But in terms of targets, Drake London is matching all the first round wide receivers right now.
7:14And you can get him like usually pretty late into the second round.
7:17Now he is an interesting spot though, where in your redraft leagues, he's going in that pocket of Saquon Barkley, Devon Achan,
7:23Chase Brown, then it's Drake London, Amarin Hampton and Derek Henry.
7:27So, and Ken Walker a little bit later. So he's like the bookmark or the sandwich meat between all of those running backs.
7:33And that's a fascinating one because he's on an Island by himself.
7:37When we talk about these wide receivers, it is difficult for me to click his name.
7:41I'll be honest because of the quarterback play that's tied to him.
7:44It is too. It is Michael Penix. And while I like Kevin Stefanski so often with these play callers, they like quarterbacks
7:51that have the same style to what and Penix have like totally opposite styles here.
7:55One guy wants to throw it outside the numbers and down the field and Penix to it's mostly short and in the middle portion of the field.
8:03So that is also putting my brain in a blender here.
8:06I think it'll be too. He's dealing with a backup or a back injury right now.
8:10You'd never love to hear that, but Penix is like, seems like pretty behind.
8:14And this is the second or third time he's torn his ACL.
8:18So I think it's going to open up the year to, uh, we'll probably see both.
8:22I don't think the Falcons are going to be very good this year.
8:26Lots of turnover on the offensive line, defense, uh, coaching staff, you name it.
8:30I'm just not sure if they're ready. At the same time, this version of two is so different than the wide receiver
8:36one seasons that we got with Terry kill. Like his, his body is now working against him.
8:41So I want to keep that at the top of mind too.
8:44When thinking, oh, well, two has platformed some of the best wide receivers in fancy football.
8:49This to me is a totally different version of that.
8:52I do think, you know, all those like little quick hitting slants to the slot receiver.
8:56That's that fits Drake London's game pretty well. Okay.
8:59Let's talk about the Baltimore Ravens next and Zay flowers specifically.
9:02We always ask how a good fantasy asset can become a great fantasy asset.
9:06And for Zay flowers, who is an early fourth round pick in whatever platform that you use right now, that's about touchdowns.
9:12And the easiest pathway to scoring touchdowns are red zone targets.
9:15Just 10 red zone targets for Zay flowers this past season, 17 over the last two years.
9:20In fact, Olamide Zaccheaus, Drake London's teammate now who called him his mentor, by the way, had more red zone targets and
9:26red zone touchdowns than Zay flowers did last year.
9:29Zay has never scored more than six touchdowns in a season, despite being the wide receiver 13 and points per game in 2025.
9:35So we go from Todd Munkin, who you and I really like and love how he evolved this Ravens passing attack.
9:41And he's done that in multiple places with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Georgia and wherever else.
9:46He's very good at his job, but he consistently made Mark Andrews their go-to player in the red zone or Isaiah likely.
9:52So now we go to Declan Doyle and maybe this Hayden is like the time for the reset to happen to get Zay flowers.
9:59Finally double digit touchdowns, because if that happens, we're looking at a player who again is being drafted as the wide receiver
10:0517, who finished last year as the wide receiver 13 points per game as a possible top 10 wide receiver scoring season.
10:12And again, the glaring flaw in his profile to get there is so obvious that I think it's possible.
10:17I think it's possible as well. You just look around the league.
10:20There's some offenses that are scheming up some touches to undersized receivers.
10:24I think that largely explains why his target share is at 16% inside the red zone versus 28 outside the red zone over the last couple of seasons.
10:32But the yard, the yards are there. Wide receiver 13 in yards in the last two seasons when Lamar Jackson's thrown over
10:38five passes per game is literally just the touchdowns.
10:41We're running out of options to score those touchdowns at this point.
10:44That's with Derrick Henry healthy all those seasons. If something ever happens, Derrick Henry, obviously you just kind of scheme up some things.
10:50So I'm looking at like Rasheed Rice gets a bunch of targets down there.
10:54Like it doesn't have to be the biggest ball winner types.
10:58You can manufacture some touches. Olamutis is another good example of just that.
11:01And I even throw in Amon Ross St. Brown who Johnson coached and Declan Doyle just coached with Ben Johnson last year.
11:07And there is a size discrepancy there. I mean, what?
11:10Say flowers is five, nine, one 92. So again, there's a slight gap.
11:14But use some of that. You know, use some of the motion.
11:17Use some of the stacks. Use some of the quick moving routes in that condensed field versus, you know, the passing attack
11:24that they had in that area last year. And so again, just six touchdowns for a career high for say in the past, it's a much different universe.
11:32We're going into if he scores eight, 10, heck even 12 scores, because that automatically puts him in the top 10 and points per game.
11:39Next, the Buffalo bills. I'll talk wide receivers here again, Hayden, because ever since the bills trade away, Stefan digs, their highest
11:45scoring pass catcher in a single season was 9.6 points per game.
11:48And half PPR scoring that was wide receiver 41 per game.
11:51Khalil Shakir back in 2024. That's despite spending the 33rd overall pick on Keon Coleman, a first round pick on Don Kincaid,
11:58a third round pick on Amari Cooper. And so now if we're talking about their new quote unquote wide receiver one, that's DJ Moore, right?
12:05Being drafted as the wide receiver 26 on Yahoo, despite coming off the worst season of his career.
12:10And that's not an argument. I mean, over the last three years that's dropped down his yards per game from 80 to 57 down to 40 yards.
12:17Despite being in a Ben Johnson offense this past year.
12:20And so I'm a bit nervous of DJ Moore totally paying off this price.
12:24Like the high end outcomes are absolutely there and it can make me look like a fool.
12:29But over the last two years, this Buffalo Bills team has been 25th and 30th in dropback rate and 22nd and 30th in percent of yards via passing.
12:37So is DJ Moore good enough at this point in his career to change Joe Brady and to change that offense right
12:43now in the Buffalo Bills that, you know, scores a lot of points and wins a lot of games.
12:49I asked that question because I think I know my answer and it's not a great one.
12:54I think I have a little bit more optimism just because all those stats that you mentioned were because, you know, it's
13:00key on Coleman and Amari Cooper and Brandon cooks and those types.
13:03And the Khalil Shakir pass game could only get you so far just the way that he's utilized.
13:08I did. You're going to throw him the ball underneath.
13:11They have to make this thing work because of the investment that they put in.
13:15It was not just the draft capital. It was the extension beyond it.
13:19Some of it with DJ Moore always seems to be just like about motivation and buy in and stuff.
13:24You'd hope that he feels pretty comfortable with the Buffalo Bills.
13:28Josh Allen trying to win Super Bowls at this point and clearly being established as the top guy.
13:33So I didn't love the price tag the bills paid.
13:35Right. I am still kind of buying him in best ball and on Yahoo right now as a round five pick.
13:41I have like realistic boom bust expectations from him, but I would not be surprised if he looks a lot better, puts
13:48in more effort this year just because of the environment around him.
13:51Yeah, I guess my point is he's being drafted as if everyone is confident that they're going to change and he's going
13:57to change this passing attack just from a skill standpoint.
14:00I think it's, you know, very possible that we've seen the best of DJ Moore in his career and arguably that was with Joe Brady in Carolina.
14:08So maybe they do change and go back to some of that stuff.
14:11But again, he's going in this cluster of wide receivers.
14:14If we talk about Terry McLaurin and Luther Burton and Mike Evans and Roma Duns and Christian Watson, but I kind of
14:21just want to draft more than DJ Moore at this point.
14:24And I could be totally wrong on that end of the season and it could come back to buy me.
14:29Yeah, there's been huge hits, huge misses from wide receivers changing teams at this kind of age 30 season.
14:35I have him parked next to Mike Evans, Devante Adams, and then DJ Moore in my rankings.
14:40I feel that's pretty appropriate. Carolina Panthers. What's going on with Chuba Hubbard?
14:43Everyone's talking about Jonathan Brooks because he's coming back from the injury.
14:47Very exciting. He should be the pass catcher if he's fully healthy.
14:50He's on pace to be healthy in a week one contributor.
14:53And we know that that could be a full overtaking from Chuba Hubbard.
14:57But did want to mention this about Chuba. Back in 2024, he played 77% of the snaps.
15:02He was the RB12 on RB7 usage. He was the RB4 in rush yards over expected.
15:06Then last year, he gets hurt. Rico Dowdle goes in there and he really struggles coming back from injury.
15:12Negative 21% rush yards over expected, which is way worse than it was.
15:15Yes. And he just did not look the same.
15:18But in the last game of the season, a playoff game with the Carolina Panthers almost pulled off an upset.
15:23He finished with two touchdowns and 17 opportunities. He's been named a team captain at time.
15:28So this is one of these situations where I think both things could be true.
15:32That Jonathan Brooks does come on. He's a real asset here.
15:35And Chuba Hubbard stays involved as a rusher. To me, last season is largely explained by that injury.
15:41And people are really discounting what happened two seasons ago when he actually was healthy, was very efficient.
15:46And that team was not nearly as good. Now, every single day, I refresh Twitter and there's a Panthers injury right now.
15:52So you have some explaining to do on that front, exactly where we're at with the Carolina Panthers.
15:57But I do think that it's very easy to say Jonathan Brooks is going to overtake Chuba Hubbard.
16:02Chuba Hubbard's been playing pretty decent ball whenever healthy in this offense.
16:05I'm even looking at expert consensus rankings. In half PPR, Chuba Hubbard is the 30th overall back.
16:10And then Jonathan Brooks is 39. It'll flip, I think.
16:13I think it'll flip. And on Yahoo right now, I mean, they're still at least three rounds apart.
16:18So Yahoo, I think, is one of these platforms that you can get Jonathan Brooks at an awesome price.
16:24In the early 10th round is running back 37 compared to Chuba Hubbard's running back 27.
16:28But yeah, I mean, this is one of those trends that the longer Jonathan Brooks is healthy and the closer we get
16:34to week one, the more and more and higher and higher he's going to be selected.
16:39And it's not just fancy people saying that, Hayden.
16:41Cameron Wolfe, I guess now of ESPN and NFL Network, I don't even know how to refer to those people now.
16:47It's a quote. They believe he is not only going to form a one-two punch with Chuba Hubbard, but he is essentially
16:54going to be the lead in the backfield if he can stay healthy.
16:57I get it. Jonathan Brooks is an awesome talent.
17:00He was running back one in his class and was drafted as such.
17:04And the more cuts that he makes and the more impressions that he makes during preseason activities.
17:08I mean, this is the first preseason practice he's ever participated in.
17:12Yep. And then we're here. So I think I'm going to end up with more Jonathan Brooks, at least on Yahoo, than I am Chuba Hubbard.
17:19Yeah, I think that by the end of training camp, I think that Jonathan Brooks will be going ahead of Chuba Hubbard.
17:25And I think in week one, I'll be ranking Chuba Hubbard ahead of Jonathan Brooks.
17:30And we'll see how it plays out. Chicago Bears.
17:32Roma Dunze, he was the wide receiver 36 per game last year, dealt with an injury.
17:37But he was the wide receiver 18 in usage.
17:39He was the wide receiver 22 in targets per game.
17:42They just lost DJ Moore via trade. Roma Dunze, I think he's pretty good.
17:46The problem is Caleb Williams has missed him way too often.
17:49And then on these 50-50 passes, Roma Dunze has not either dragged his foot, has not caught the ball cleanly.
17:55I can't explain it. Their timing has just been a little bit off.
17:59But hopefully in the year three, this is where it gets fixed.
18:02And if it does get fixed on an efficiency basis, he already had wide receiver two numbers in fantasy via his usage.
18:08And there's a chance that he's not just a bad, inefficient player, that he's actually a good one.
18:13And that's, I think, one of the most underrated players in the Bears' offense this year is Roma Dunze.
18:19I still can't believe he goes so far behind Luther Burden.
18:22I do think that Roma Dunze has a good chance to matching or even surpassing Luther Burden this season.
18:27And, you know, we can only go off press conferences and what people say sometimes during the summer.
18:32And Roma Dunze's clip talking about his new normal.
18:35That impacts, you know, fantasy drafters. Again, we are scratching and clawing just to find a morsel of information that we think gives us an edge.
18:42Sometimes it works in our favor. And sometimes maybe like Malik neighbors, we get bad information earlier in the summer.
18:48But regarding Roma Dunze, like he has clarified that.
18:50He went in the microphone today and said, actually, I was just being honest.
18:54And I'm doing pretty good right now. I watched him.
18:57He looks good. Yes. If that's the case, I still think for his size, he is so fluid.
19:02The out patterns, the post routes, the corners, all that type of stuff.
19:06Now, is he a yards after catch demon like Luther Burden is in this offense?
19:10He's not. But at the same time, as we talked about with Harmon on Monday show, which hopefully you all watched and
19:17enjoyed, it's definitely in the realm of possibilities that Roma Dunze finishes at the wide receiver one in this team.
19:22And Hayden, I think you have it ranked that way heading into the year.
19:26Yeah. I did move him ahead of Luther Burden after sitting there and watching all of his targets and a lot of
19:32the Bears stuff from this last season. I mean, his upside would be a T Higgins adjacent type of player who we've
19:39been drafting at the 2-3 turn for a couple of seasons now.
19:42Yeah. I mean, he just has to be on the right end of variance where passes can't go off his fingertips.
19:48He just needs to catch the easy ones that he should have.
19:51And then, you know, Caleb just has to be more accurate on those more downfield passes when over the final eight games,
19:58when Odunze was also banged up, 27% of the passes and targets in his direction were deemed inaccurate.
20:03Now that can be up to the person that is charting those things, but I believe it pretty freaking high number just based off the eye tests.
20:10All right. Let's talk about the Cincinnati Bengals here.
20:13Look, this offense has been incredible when Joe Burrow, Jamar Chase and T Higgins have all been on the field.
20:19Hopefully that happens again this year, but it does feel like if you read between the lines on what Bengals coaches have
20:25said and what beat reporters have said this offseason, that they are going into this as if it is broken and they're
20:31trying to fix it, which is interesting because it doesn't feel broken and they really shouldn't change anything.
20:36This is what I mean. Okay. So far over the last three years, the Bengals have been 31st in under center percentage
20:42of passing plays and 30th in play action with Joe Burrow at quarterback.
20:46This then comes from their offensive coordinator pitcher. Quote, if you are looking at how are we going to be a really
20:52explosive offense, the data will suggest you have to go.
20:55So you have got to have a component of your offense that allows you to get under center and attack the defense.
21:01Truthfully, yeah, I believe in what those numbers say, and we're going to have to explore that part of our offense.
21:07We know from watching Hayden that Joe Burrow has not been comfortable with his eyes turn to the defense.
21:13He doesn't want to work from under center. He just wants to go shotgun over and over and over again.
21:18And so to me, that is noteworthy for a team that we are drafting four players in the top four rounds that
21:25has posted tons of production that it seems like they're trying to go into a land of discomfort rather than lean into
21:31what has been so successful in the past. I find it interesting.
21:34I don't really recall Joe Burrow ever doing that.
21:37And at the same time, I saw full faith that he'll be able to execute it.
21:41He's a smart guy. He understands football to a huge degree, and he's got two wide receivers that would be excellent on play action.
21:48So if they do sprinkle that in, I don't think that the results would be bad.
21:53So I'm kind of excited about it just to see, does that mean more T Higgins like deep shots?
21:58Sometimes it feels like that it comes and goes.
22:01Right when they entered the league and it was the single high days, wherever that safety was, they're just throwing the ball to the other side.
22:08Hopefully some of this play action opportunities, you kind of get more of those looks where that safety has a decision.
22:14Is it Jamar Chase side or the T Higgins side?
22:17And there's really no correct answer. Yeah, I can remember.
22:20And this might've been three years ago, like the opening game of the season against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
22:25And literally that first series, they tried to under center play action shots where Joe Burrow turned his head and he threw interceptions on both.
22:32And, you know, they wouldn't be this gun heavy if Joe Burrow didn't want to be this gun heavy.
22:37And so, I mean, again, the stats have just been simply incredible that on plays with Jamar Chase and T Higgins on
22:44the field the past two years, Joe Burrow has completed 72% of his passes for eight yards per pass attempt and a 7.3 touchdown rate.
22:51But again, it's like, Hey, what we're doing isn't good enough.
22:54It's not leading to enough wins, even if that was a defense thing.
22:57And they're trying to, again, kind of catch up to what the league trends are.
23:02And I kind of wonder, should they really do that?
23:05Because they are doing it apparently in training camp.
23:07Yeah, I will say, I think this is also a credit to the offensive line where they trust these guys under center
23:13to block it up for the third and fourth second.
23:16And I do think that there's some faith in that.
23:19Like Amarius Mims, for example, up and comer tackle prospect.
23:22If he's really good, then you can survive under play action, wait for plays to develop where before Joe Burrow didn't want to get hit.
23:29Rightfully so. He's been murdered and get the ball out quickly, where maybe now they have a little more trust across the board.
23:35Cleveland Browns. I got to be honest. It's tough to talk about the Cleveland Browns, but I'm going to do it on Yahoo right now.
23:43The second latest wide receiver one in drafts is Casey Concepcion.
23:46Okay. Just in terms of the first wide receiver selected for each team and then the second wide receiver selected each team.
23:52Denzel Boston is the third latest. I mean, Hey, you know this.
23:55Typically we obsess over rookies and especially rookie wide receivers and especially ones that were the 24th and 39th overall picks yet.
24:02No one wants them this year. And I totally get it.
24:05I totally get why. Apparently didn't. Apparently Deshaun Watson has looked horrible to start training camp.
24:09Maybe his poor off season has seemingly opened the door for George Sanders to come in and actually compete for the job.
24:15But like, when I look at this, I don't think Todd Monken can come into this offense and say, well, we're just going to play ball control.
24:23Run the football. Because I think there's a major impact of trading away miles Garrett.
24:27Even if you got Jared verse in return, that they're just not going to be able to play in as close of
24:34games as they did last year, where actually the defense only kept them close, but legitimately won them contests last year.
24:40So this team is going to have to throw the football much more often.
24:43Now that led to 32nd and completion rate last year, 31st and passing yards, 31st and yards per pass attempt and 30th and touchdown.
24:50So it might not be good, but I do think at least one of these rookies and they're quite different is going
24:57to get a decent sized volume share that their draft capital right now does not indicate.
25:01I really hope it's Casey Concepcion. That's how I would project it.
25:04He's safer in that you can manufacture touches for him.
25:07And we've seen, I think the ESPN reporter has mentioned, it's been end arounds.
25:11It's been screens. It's been a little bit of everything on top of the deep ball.
25:16I thought he was excellent in all those capacities.
25:18You can look at his special teams work, even on top of that.
25:22So if there's somebody that's like less reliant on their quarterback getting the ball, it does feel like it'd be Casey Concepcion
25:28where Denzel Boston, more of a red zone threat.
25:31How many red zone chances are we even get for the Cleveland Browns?
25:35I don't have that much faith in Denzel Boston this year.
25:38And like the other interesting one is Jerry Judy.
25:40We're talking about a, you know, a former first rounder who has 1200 yards.
25:44He's 27 years old and like nobody wants to draft him.
25:47Once again, like you said, I get it. But like, that's like another interesting name where like if we had any semblance
25:54of offensive line or quarterback play, I think a couple of these guys would be top 120 picks.
25:59We can't get any of them in there. Yeah.
26:01Like if Joe Flacco was the quarterback for this team this year, I guarantee you, you know, Casey Concepcion would be drafted much earlier than this.
26:09But again, I understand why he's not. And he's, I think going to be one of these players who probably is frustrating
26:15through the first few weeks and is maybe more of a late bloomer as the season goes along.
26:20Final question though. Maybe the approach is to bypass the six round tight end in six round is a pretty penny.
26:26When Harold Fannin's going around, Roman Dunze, Christian Watson, Carnell Tate, Caleb Williams, Kyle Pitts, all these guys.
26:31And if you want to take a shot at all on this offense, it is in Casey Concepcion or one of these other rookie wide receivers.
26:38The thing that shocked me the most on Yahoo ADP looking at this draft, the draft board is how early that second wave of tight ends goes.
26:46It's fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh round on other formats.
26:49It's much later than that. My translation to that is, you know, Brock Bowers in round two is even looking better.
26:54If Harold Fannin goes round six, you know, just pay the premium on Brock Bowers.
26:59All right. Before we go any further, if you made it this far, hit that subscribe button.
27:04It's totally free to all of you. Our entire goal for the next month plus is to help you win your fantasy league.
27:10Leave a thumbs up while you're there. So YouTube knows that you watch this video and leave a comment because you guys
27:16know that stats versus film is big back. All right.
27:19Dallas Cowboys. All right. Javante Williams time. How good does he actually have to be to matter in fantasy?
27:25I think the answer to that is he doesn't even have to be very good.
27:29The Cowboys were second in neutral pace last year.
27:31They're projected for the six most points in 2026.
27:34Look, according to the betting markets, the entire coaching staff returns.
27:37The entire offensive line is back. It's still George Pickens and CD lamb and Dak Prescott.
27:42Like nothing's changed. It's the same backup running backs behind him.
27:45By the way, the guy that has the highest odds of breaking out.
27:48Is Jaden blue, who is very undersized. A pass catcher.
27:51Never was an early down threat. Even back in college, way tinier than Javante Williams.
27:55And at the goal line last year, a goal line success rate.
27:59RB one overall for Javante Williams in EPA per carry.
28:02He was the RB three among backs with 10 plus carries per game as well.
28:06The reason why he was not a better finisher is because his receiving numbers were like the worst in the NFL.
28:12Maybe that regresses. Maybe some of the goal line stuff comes back.
28:15But where he's going right now in drafts, which is now like the fourth round in a lot of leagues.
28:21Second in pace, six in scoring. Like he just has to be out there.
28:25I don't think that Jaden blue is a real threat to where he got you the fantasy points, which was just scoring
28:31a bunch of touchdowns and carrying the ball 14 times again.
28:34I guess my question to you is if you're spending a top three round pick on Javante Williams, which right now he's
28:41even going ahead of Brees Hall over the last few days on Yahoo.
28:44Do you think Javante has it in him right now, both from an individual standpoint and maybe even more so from an
28:50individual standpoint to be like a big win, a big win player?
28:54Because I think I have more concerns about that than you do.
28:57So he was the RB eight and expected points RB 13 and points last year.
29:02I think that he's probably in that he finishes the RB 10 this season.
29:05I will say that doesn't sound that sexy. Getting the RB 10 at the round three, four turn like is a pretty big win.
29:12Like a lot of those wide receivers we like there are going to bust.
29:16Yeah, but at the same time, we've seen Malik neighbors like score as a top 10 wide receiver.
29:21We've seen T Higgins score as the wide receiver four in points per game.
29:25Do not take either of them. Yes, do not take Javante over either of those guys.
29:30Malik neighbors should go at the end of the second round at this point.
29:34But I think a lot of people are gonna start touting him as a really bad pick.
29:39He's gonna go in the fourth round. And I'm just looking at this.
29:42I'm like, somebody has to overtake him to be a dead zone running back when you're on a team that's going to
29:49be top five in plays and top five in points.
29:51Yeah, I would not call him a dead zone player.
29:54I just I kind of would call him a small win player, like owning 82.4% of the offensive snaps inside the 10 yard line last year.
30:02It's about the same just overall in terms of snaps.
30:04And then you finish is what the running back 13 points per game.
30:08He can finish as the running back 12. I think this year, but you're drafting was the running back 16.
30:14It was also on my radar. And maybe this changes this year where they would take Javante out in pure past situations for like Hunter Lipke.
30:21Yeah, that was probably because, you know, he's playing every other snap in the game because they couldn't get blue on the field.
30:28By the way, Jaden blue is gonna look really good in July every single year.
30:32He's doing awesome in July. Okay, next up for me is the Denver Broncos.
30:36Let's stick on this running back train. Big question, Hayden.
30:39What if this is the year that J.K. Dobbins stays healthy?
30:42What if what if in Sean Payton's entire time as head coach?
30:45This is one of my favorite stats ever with the Saints with the Broncos.
30:49No single running back has ever hit 250 carries.
30:52And we're talking about big ones, right? Anywhere from Mark Ingram to Reggie Bush to Alvin Kamara to whoever he's had.
30:58Javante Williams at the Denver Broncos, who no running back has ever individually hit 250 50 carries.
31:03But guess what? Of course, J.K. Dobbins was on pace for that last year.
31:07Now you can say J.K. Dobbins is on pace for a lot of things during his career, a career year, every single year.
31:13And it just doesn't happen because a dude can't stay on the field.
31:17I mean, he's missed 54 games in five seasons.
31:19He's missed at least four games in every single season that he's played.
31:23But man, when he touched grass last year, he was averaging the seventh best yards per carry.
31:28He was fifth in explosive run rate. He was 16th in yards after contact and was quite good at avoiding negative runs.
31:34And the first stanza of the season, 15 carries per game.
31:37Look, I get it again. He's not going to stay healthy.
31:40He's not going to be out there. But where he is going right now, running back 35 on Yahoo.
31:46Hey, and we talk about strategy all the time, how we'd like to open with two straight running backs.
31:51But let's say you go with Brock Bowers and then somehow A.J.
31:54Brown falls to you in round three. And you're finding yourself in kind of no man's land with your roster at running back.
32:01I think in terms of a zero or hero running back strategy, J.K.
32:05Dobbins, where he's going on all these platforms at this moment, is one of your best bets for at least the first half of the season.
32:12Yeah. On pace for 1,312 rushing yards by himself last year.
32:15That was through 10 weeks. Like that wasn't like a small sample.
32:1910 weeks, a pretty good sample. The offensive line is all back.
32:22They had some backups that played last year on the interior.
32:25Those guys are back in the mix. There's a better depth there.
32:29I think the Broncos are going to put up a shit ton of points.
32:32Like you add Jalen Waddle. This offense has already been pretty functional with a very young or not.
32:38I shouldn't say young NFL inexperienced quarterback in Bo Nix there.
32:41J.K. Dobbins, if he stays healthy, will finish his RB2 this year.
32:44And I think even if he plays 10 games like where what he just did last season, I still think he would be paying off this price tag.
32:52You don't take zeros for the rest of those weeks in redraft.
32:55You throw somebody else in the lineup. I do like him straight up over R.J.
33:00Harvey at this point. Now, I said all those things where he ranked top 10, top 15 in per carry metrics.
33:06That still only put him as the running back 25 in points per game.
33:10And he had zero weeks inside of the top 10.
33:12And it's because he just doesn't catch passes. It's what you said, right?
33:16Like R.J. Harvey was the pass catcher. They also do the screen stuff last year with Marvin Mims.
33:21And dear Lord, I hope that goes to Jalen Waddle this season.
33:25And Jonah Coleman also can work in the passing game, too.
33:28So I don't expect that area to thrive anymore.
33:30But again, a zero running back approach or here running back approach running back 35 on Yahoo right now in the ninth
33:37round is one that I'm willing to take the risk on.
33:40Yeah, I think like week one rankings, like he'll be pretty close to Quinshot Judkins, Bucky Irving, you know, those type of guys.
33:46Like, I think that's probably in the redraft rankings week one.
33:49That's probably where he's going to line up as.
33:52Yeah, you know, two years ago, I was really in when J.K.
33:55Dobbins was a charger. And again, he paid off very early on and until he didn't until he did.
34:01But he paid off. But like he paid off like he paid.
34:04Even if you get injured, you can still you can still pay off if the ADP is low enough.
34:09You know, writing this Denver Broncos nugget. I realized maybe on this show we haven't talked enough about Jalen Waddle.
34:15We're on every other show that we appear on together.
34:18We talk about Jalen Waddle. So maybe I need to change that in the near future, because Jalen Waddle is absolutely one
34:24of my favorite picks on the board right now.
34:27Yeah. Yeah. If you know, if Marvin Mims and those guys are getting more than a screen per game, I think Jalen
34:33Waddle is going to do all right. Detroit Lions.
34:36All right. Sam Laporta was the tight end 15 and expected half PPR points last year.
34:405.4 targets per game. That was through 10 games, then had his back injury.
34:44He needs more volume than that to pay off this ADP.
34:47But damn, is he good? He was second in success rate, fourth in EPA per target, fifth in yards per target.
34:53He's somebody that you can scheme up underneath. He can also threaten to that next level.
34:58And if you just look at the Lions, tons of dome games.
35:01Every other team in this division is going to put up points.
35:04Their schedule, it looks pretty tough in terms of the offenses they face.
35:08But their own defense is really bad. If something ever happens to anybody else, there is an upside path.
35:14Just the back of my mind, you're drafting somebody as the tight end 5, 6, 7.
35:18And in the expected points last year, he was tied in 15.
35:21So he has to overcome that in Subway. I think there's enough outs to paint that picture.
35:26So I really like his price tag in the best ball streets.
35:30The Yahoo one's a little bit up just because all the tight ends are priced up.
35:34But he does look pretty appealing. Him versus Harold Fannin, I think that there's an upside case to kind of hit with
35:40Sam Laporta, even if the baseline outcome's a little bit lower.
35:44Yeah, we went on Yahoo Fantasy Forecast's Harmon Show.
35:46And again, I probably haven't said this enough on our program.
35:49I'm in love with Sam Laporta this year. Like, when you look at the three quarterbacks who have targeted tight ends at
35:55the highest rate over the last three seasons, two of them played for Drew Petsing and one of them played for Kevin Stefanski.
36:02That's Jacoby, Kyler, and Shador Sanders at 34% and 32%.
36:05So yeah, you guys can say that that's a Trey McBride stat or that's a Harold Fannin stat, even a David and
36:11Joku stat before that and all that type of stuff.
36:14I also think it's a Norv Turner, Kevin Stefanski, Drew Petsing coaching tree stat.
36:18And so while Amon Ross St. Brown is absolutely going to get his and be the person in this passing game, and
36:24Jamison Williams and Sam Laporta, Hayden, I really think they're going to battle here for the second highest target in this offense.
36:30And again, just anecdotally, when it's been a really good Sam Laporta week, it hasn't been great for Jamison Williams and vice versa.
36:37So I'm really intrigued to see what happens here with Laporta in an offense that we just saw.
36:42Take Trey McBride to the absolute moon. The other name I'll throw out, we never talk about Jared Goff in fantasy.
36:48He has finished as a top 10 fantasy quarterback.
36:51And this is the type of year where the defense has fallen apart to such a degree in the secondary.
36:56And right now, Laporta, Jamo, Amon Ross having normal off seasons, normal training camps moving forward.
37:01This could be the season where Jared Goff throws for 4,500 yards, 40 touchdowns, and every single game is a 30 to
37:0728 shootout where the answer was yes, across the board with everybody.
37:10And one more note, this trend of heavier personnel and 13 personnel sets.
37:14Drew Petsing was earlier than Sean McVay on this.
37:17I mean, he has the third most plays of 13 personnel over the last two seasons, including the second most passing plays
37:23and tied for the most 15 plus yard passing plays out of it with 28 of them.
37:28And if that's the case, and Amon Ross St.
37:30Brown is the ISO wide receiver, guess who is the other lead pass catcher in those moments with those explosives?
37:36That is Sam Laporta. So just talk with Colton McCoy when I used to do a show with him.
37:41He spent a training camp with Drew and was like, yeah, the primary read and a whole bunch of our stuff is the tight end.
37:48Interesting. That's follow Colt. Follow Colt. Next, the Green Bay Packers.
37:51Pretty similar notes to Sam Laporta. Tucker Craft was the tight end one on tight end eight usage last year.
37:57Some really crazy per routes stats coming your way.
38:00Plus 0.91 EPA per target easily, like not even close, led all tight ends.
38:04It's almost impossible to average 11.4 yards per target when your average depth of target is at 4.5.
38:09Like that is a lot of yards after the catch.
38:12And that's because he's so explosive. Typically, when wider or when tight ends are in that kind of underneath role, which Tucker
38:18Craft historically kind of has been in, you can only average about nine yards per target.
38:22The fact that he was at 11 yards per target is completely ludicrous to the point that that's impossible to repeat this year.
38:29But at the same time, the only players that do such a thing are some of the freakiest tight ends in the NFL.
38:35So I'm struggling with Tucker Craft because of like stats like this where you can explain the upside.
38:41And at the same time, I'm looking at a negative regression candidate coming off a torn ACL.
38:45But the guys that historically come off torn ACL and end up doing all right are the freak athletes in the prime of their careers.
38:52That was what we saw with Malik neighbors this offseason.
38:55I do think that Tucker Craft seems on pace.
38:58So I'm very conflicted here what to do with them because I can see this one going either way.
39:03He's the closest thing we have to George Kittle in the NFL.
39:07I think in terms of someone who catches a pass short or intermediate and then just runs over people after the catch.
39:13Yep. I mean, how he wins in this offense with so many vertical routes and then he's kind of like the underneath
39:19outlet and then he can turn a short reception into a longer gain because these defenders can't tackle him on first contact
39:25is one of one stuff in the league. I hope he still has that in him.
39:30And like you said, this is that difficult area where you and I just want to draft Brock Bowers as much as possible this year.
39:37I'm actually fading Trey McBride, especially at his 212 price tag on Yahoo.
39:41That's a conversation for another time. And then you get and I'm going to talk about Tyler Warren here in a moment.
39:47And then we just talked about Sam Laporta and then there's Kyle Pitts and all this stuff.
39:52So it's, I think, really difficult to rank Tucker Craft, especially if you believe that George Kittle can also have a good
39:58season and he might be even the best value going in like the ninth round at this point too.
40:03Yeah, it's a really difficult position. I think I do like the prices of Loveland and Bowers the most.
40:09I like Kyle Pitts a lot. But yeah, Tucker Craft, I will say this.
40:13Watching him out there, he's not wearing some big bulky knee brace.
40:16Like a lot of these guys coming back from injury, like Ricky Pearsall, for example, like he was still wearing stuff on his knee.
40:23Tucker Craft right there, as he's like warming up and doing some individual drills, he does not look like somebody coming off
40:29a torn ACL where you're like, what the hell is even on his leg?
40:33He seems like a little bit ahead of schedule.
40:36And at the same time, his injury did happen a clean halfway through the season.
40:40So I would not be surprised if September's a little bit of a ramp up.
40:44And then from that point forward, he's back as a fringe top five guy.
40:48Yeah, Tucker Craft recently said that he will probably come off active pop list very soon.
40:53Let's go. Very soon. So that would be great.
40:55Next is the Houston Texans. So a section of our video with Ryan Paganetti got cut out, but I think this is
41:01the perfect opportunity to bring it up. That in the 19 games that Nick Cayley has been a play caller in the
41:08NFL, his ball carriers rank dead last in explosive run rate and fifth worst in terms of dead run rate, which is
41:14just a runner gets zero or fewer yards in that area.
41:17There's a lot to unpack here with both those stats.
41:20So I'll try to do it first, the sample size, right?
41:23It's very small. It's just 19 games. Okay. Second, you can also argue that that's an offensive line stat, which the Texans tried to remedy this offseason.
41:31They have a new starting left guard, a new starting center, a new starting right tackle.
41:35You know, their left tackles now into year two, so on and so forth.
41:39They also added a run blocking tight end and Marlon Klein on day two and also the running back last year were Nick Chubb and Woody Marks.
41:47So take for that what you will. But I do want to use that to express maybe just a little bit of
41:53hesitation here with David Montgomery, because the number one selling point on David Montgomery is volume, volume, volume.
41:58And that's it. It's not age. It's not really explosiveness.
42:01You can't say it's the play caller. You can't say it's a cohesive offensive line either.
42:06And so right now you're having to make that leap of faith with David Montgomery as a fifth round pick on Yahoo
42:12in, you know, an area of the draft where we love the tight ends.
42:16We love the quarterbacks. We we love the wide receivers on top of it.
42:20So right now I'm kind of terming Dave Montgomery is kind of a desperation running back play and a volume based.
42:26And Hayden, that just has screamed running back dead zone in the past.
42:29It really has. The Lions last year scored 28 points per game.
42:33The Texans this year projected for 23 and they have not been hitting 23 the last couple of seasons as well.
42:39You mentioned it. They have an entirely like new offensive line, but it's also like Wyatt Teller, who's like on the fringe retirement.
42:45Caitlin Rutledge, a center center moving to center as a rookie.
42:48Ed Ingram, like we can be honest about what Ed Ingram is.
42:52And then Braden Smith, like kind of up and down because of injuries.
42:55Uh, that's the offensive line. Like, like that's like the new additions that they got going on.
43:00It's like not an answered position, even if they're like, uh, switching those guys around.
43:04And then we've had like some weird comments from like different, uh, reporters about like Woody Marks is going to split reps.
43:11What does that mean? They're trying to define what split reps means.
43:14I think it's gonna be David Montgomery and early downs, Woody Marks and passing downs.
43:18And then if Woody Marks isn't performing or if, uh, David Montgomery is not performing well as a rusher, then they'll just
43:25give, um, more work towards Woody Marks. I draft a lot more Woody Marks than I do David Montgomery.
43:30And I don't even like what I've seen from Woody Marks on tape.
43:34Yeah. Typically you wouldn't use the word fragile profile with David Montgomery because you know, he's sturdy and dependable, but I'm kind
43:40of looking at this as a fragile profile and I don't think people are viewing it in, in that way.
43:46Are we supposed to count the college carries you get for, you know, like tread on the tires?
43:51Cause this dude touched the ball at Iowa state a bajillion times on top of that.
43:55So he's one of these guys where it's like, at some point it's going to fall apart.
44:00And look, the Texans could be one of the best teams in the NFL.
44:04You know, it, it, that is the case. Like their defense is top one, top two, top three, argue with yourself.
44:10And then if CJ Stroud bounces back, uh, after his playoff performances, we get Nico Collins and maybe some version of taking
44:16Dell and all that type of stuff, then this could be awesome.
44:20But if not, then like, as you said, Woody Marks is going to take a whole bunch of the passing role work from Dave Montgomery.
44:27And that leads you into, I think some tricky scenarios that is not kind of being baked in to his profile right now.
44:33I like, are you with yourself? That was a good one.
44:36Indianapolis Colts. Here it is. There aren't many opportunities for me to talk about my guy, Tyler Warren.
44:41So I'm going to take this as another one.
44:44Um, I think he is easily the biggest beneficiary of Michael Pittman jr's departure.
44:48Even if so many people out there think Josh Downs is, uh, the Colts were top six in RPOs last year.
44:54I think Michael Pittman was also top six in RPO targets.
44:57Who are those going to? They're going to Tyler Warren.
45:00I mean, he was there tight in three last year in route participation overall last season as a rookie.
45:05That's not going down. He had the 11th highest rate of red zone target market share for his team among all wide
45:12receivers and tight ends across the league. I don't think that's going down.
45:15I think you can argue he's also their best screen receiver at this point.
45:19You get the bluff blocks, the split flow action work to get the easy receptions out in space off of play action.
45:25So yes, it's definitely a big three at tight end with Brock Bowers and Shane McBride and Colson Loveland.
45:31But I would argue that Tyler Warren is in his own tier directly after that.
45:35And he might be, especially with Alec Pearson. We don't know exactly the timeline of him coming out and coming back from his injury.
45:42Um, he might be like the focal point of the passing game for a handful of weeks to open the season.
45:48I think he's the clear tight end for I would put him in his own tier kind of right after there.
45:54I think that Colson Loveland's like a little bit better on film, but that's nothing like going against Tyler Warren and like
46:00his own potential 13 games with Daniel Jones healthy last year.
46:03Tight end six on tight end three usage. His expected points were right in line with Brock Bowers.
46:08Uh, and those Daniel Jones games. If Daniel Jones isn't himself, what would you do as a play caller?
46:14Probably get the ball a little bit quicker. Uh, that's exactly what Tyler Warren bringing to the table.
46:19We talked about like the tush push stuff. Like he's somebody that can kind of get involved there.
46:24Like, do you want your quarterback tush pushing coming off of torn Achilles?
46:28That's how you tear your Achilles. Yeah. I mean, if we talk about absolute upside and God forbid something happens to Jonathan
46:34Taylor, uh, their goal line back is going to be Tyler Warren.
46:37Probably. It's not DJ Giddens. Yeah. There's, there's a lot of outs is what you're saying here.
46:42There's a lot of outs and, uh, I'm with you.
46:45Like the fluidity, the wide receiver stuff that Colson Loveland brings the table.
46:48Yeah. Aesthetically, that's so much better, but guess what?
46:51You have a juggernaut running through walls in Tyler Warren.
46:54And, uh, I think Shane Sykin loves to script script up and scheme him up touches.
46:58And he's going to do that. I think a lot to open the season with his quarterback and number one wide receiver, uh, coming off major injury.
47:06Yeah. I got ranked in the sixties and like that whole Tucker craft Laporta fan.
47:10And then those are like eighties and nineties in my ranking.
47:13So I think there's a pretty big gap between the two.
47:17And then on Yahoo, they're all sandwiched together. I would rather just go with Warren Jacksonville Jaguars.
47:21Uh, we've talked at length about this wide receiver room.
47:24So I won't bore you with another conversation of that.
47:27So let's talk about the running backs, Liam Cohen.
47:30And I'll send this to producer we've so he can maybe splice up the interview halfway through what I'm going to say,
47:36uh, but was just asked about this running back room.
47:39And he said, quote, I think too, and is going to continue to ascend.
47:43Hopefully that's the goal, right? I've worked with Chris.
47:45I know what he's about. I know what he brings to the table and that's efficiency.
47:50What we're hunting up is efficiency, right? Four, six, eight, 10, four, six, eight, 10.
47:54And then our fourth quarter. Now you maybe get them and you can hit something.
47:58So we lose Travis HN. So we have to evolve a running game.
48:02There's a lot to unpack there. Hey, personally, this idea that creating explosives and we just want to hit like singles and doubles.
48:08I kind of think that's aiming a bit too low, like really low.
48:12Um, next part with that said in a small sample, facial tootin was efficient last season.
48:17Okay. He was 12th in rate of runs that ended in a first down or a touchdown and then was eighth in success rate.
48:23However, if you expand the spreadsheets, Chris Rodriguez was even better in those metrics, right?
48:28He was fourth and first downs or touchdown rate third and success rate and eighth in yards after contact.
48:33So if you really want to interpret everything that he said and the relationships that he had, then that would make you
48:39want to draft Chris Rodriguez, who by the way, just said quote, the plan is to be back for week one.
48:45He's been doing individual drills after an all season procedure on his foot.
48:49Um, but it's all a bit like ambiguous right now.
48:52And I'm not sure we're going to have like a real full answer in week one.
48:56I listened to that quote. So, and when he described Chris Rodriguez as efficient and then said, we're looking for efficiency.
49:02I was like, I'm going to write that one down.
49:05That seems pretty important. Using the same word called him a glass eater as well.
49:09They also have history because of the Kentucky days.
49:12He was paid more than anyone expected. I remember the free agency period where it came across and then we saw the numbers afterwards.
49:19We're like, wow, like he's actually going to be involved.
49:22There's a lot of upside with both these guys.
49:24To me, every Liam Cohen rusher is going to have high efficiency because Liam Cohen's the man designing it.
49:30So I give Basial Tootin some credit and I think the breakaway run rate, if you look at the film with him,
49:36I mean, how many times was he this far away from ripping off an explosive and he got tripped up?
49:41I don't know how to explain that. Yes. And there's other times where Basial Tootin, like he's literally running the wrong way.
49:48Like, like legitimately the offensive line is going that way.
49:51He's going that way. You never get any of that with Chris Rodriguez.
49:54I think Liam Cohen's going to have to decide how much of the variance are we willing to accept with Basial Tootin
50:00because I can just consistently hit a single and a double with Chris Rodriguez.
50:04Right. This is an impossible one to get right.
50:07I personally have been drafting plenty of Chris Rodriguez buying the dip on the injury.
50:11That's another narrative is like offseason injuries because we're so obsessed and online and, you know, streaming and whatnot.
50:17I fear that maybe all these like June injuries were like making a big deal.
50:21And then like, you know, you don't get any fancy points in August and then they're back on the field on August
50:2715th and we're like, all right, why did we drop him four rounds again?
50:31And I do feel that Chris Rodriguez could be somebody that closes the gap here in the next couple of weeks.
50:37Yeah. I mean, Chris Rodriguez value right now is the lowest it's going to be at the end of the 12th round.
50:43Despite all of that quote, I'm still drafting a lot of Basial Tootin.
50:47I still believe he is going to get a chance to show the efficiency early on in the season because if he
50:53is both efficient, he is also more explosive and like that's the best of both worlds.
50:58And so in my mind, I believe that Basial Tootin is going to get the first crack at this and it won't just be like in week one.
51:06Hopefully it's like a multi-week thing and he has to fail in order for that to happen.
51:10And I just trust again, this ecosystem to kind of prevent him from failing unless it's him just again tripping over his feet too often.
51:18I will say the margins are really small because LaQuinn Allen's going to play all the passing situations.
51:23Not that Tootin can't catch passes, but like that third down roll where you're just accumulating receptions throughout the season.
51:28Like he's that's not that's not up for grabs.
51:31It's like these guys are trying to get the first and second day on touches only.
51:35Kansas City Chiefs. Let's talk about Travis Kelsey. I don't think a single fantasy show is going to talk about Travis Kelsey this entire summer.
51:43So why not use this opportunity? Not long ago, we were drafting him in the top two rounds.
51:48You remember that? Now he's the tight end 10 91st overall on Yahoo right now.
51:52He'll be 37 years of age in October, even older than me.
51:55Wow. He was the tight end eight in points per game last season.
51:59And again, you're drafting him as a tight end 10.
52:02So easy question. Is it over for big trap?
52:04I mean, it might be. It really might be.
52:07He was targeted on a career low 18.8% of his routes last year.
52:11His first season below the 20% mark. According to my buddy, Rich Rebar, he's been below 1.5 yards per route run in each of the last two years.
52:19He's this is the most notable to scored five or fewer touchdowns in three consecutive seasons.
52:23You know this we've, we've talked about enough, but I have this theory that both Travis Kelsey and rushy rice can't be
52:29good at the same time because they overlap in the same exact area of the field.
52:34And I think it's kind of bore out here.
52:36It's like zone and underneath routes. And guess what?
52:39Where she rice is younger, faster, more athletic at this point.
52:42So I think it's even possible that chiefs run the ball even more.
52:46So Travis Kelsey has now found himself again, nearly at age 37 firmly in the touchdown variance tight end realm versus being
52:52one of the most dependable target and opportunity guys in fantasy football.
52:55He got home and like full PPR last year, but I think that was just like circumstances completely breaking his way.
53:01Like both Xavier worthy and rushy rice. But like you said, since 2024, 19% target rate for Travis Kelsey in the games
53:08with for she rice, uh, only four receptions in those games.
53:11And that's with like Xavier worthy, not being himself for a lot of those as well.
53:15And like you said, Kenneth Walker being, uh, I think it's going to be the focal point is actually going to like
53:21change how the chiefs approach offense, where I can see them being more middle of the pack in pass rate where historically
53:28they've been like first, second or third. I think those days are a little bit behind us, especially with trap with Patrick
53:34homes coming off of a torn ACL. So like even like Mark Andrews, I would rather just play.
53:39He scores 12 touchdowns. He's a red zone threat.
53:42And there's like nobody else to throw the ball to with Lamar Jackson, rather than like signing up for this, you know,
53:48I think fake like reception volume role that we're used to.
53:51Yeah. Maybe this is taking it a step too far, but you know, coming off an injury of Patrick homes can't elongate
53:57place as much as he did previously too. And Travis Kelsey was a demon in those elongated plays and staying on a
54:03string of this quarterback that probably affects his like, sure.
54:06Touchdown variance can go completely in his way. Like he did with Mark, Mark Andrews a couple of years ago when he
54:13gets, you know, 12 red zone targets and that equals 10 red zone touchdowns.
54:16Uh, that's just kind of not the tight end world I want to live in at this point.
54:22Yeah, I agree. I agree. Okay. I've got two more in a row here.
54:26Las Vegas Raiders. We've talked a lot about this Raiders team lately.
54:29There's not a lot to say about them because you know, the names are pretty obvious.
54:34Brock Bowers, Ashen Gentey and Jalen Naylor. I did just want to reiterate the study that you brought up on yesterday's show
54:40when we talked about our top 15 players from fancy football by Sam Hoppin, um, about yards before contact and how so
54:46often we just attribute that to a poor rushing environment.
54:49Um, Sam did some really great work and tried to narrow it down to just isolating which running backs contributed worst to the yards before contact.
54:56And Ashen Gentey literally scored out as the worst in that department, um, that he had just as much responsibility for the
55:02lowest yards before contact as, you know, arguably the worst offensive line in the league.
55:07Now my eyes can kind of tell a different story at times where like he was hit six yards in the backfield
55:13and then convert it to like a negative two yard run and all that type of stuff.
55:18But, uh, that is not where you want to be entering year two and where everyone's taking you with the top 12 overall slot.
55:25Dead last, never a good, good sign. And that's like accounting for a lot of things like which gap you're going in,
55:31how many defenders are in the box, how good the offensive line is.
55:34If there's a dual threat quarterback in the backfield, like all the things that we know that help you out in terms
55:41of getting to the first and second level cleanly, he accounts for all that.
55:45And he comes up dead last when we did our, our second year running backs show.
55:49I brought this up without knowing this, this information where I thought he was a little bit indecisive paired with not having
55:55the same foot quickness that I'm used to for running backs drafted in this range.
56:00I think those two things kind of running parallel would explain why he's also getting hit before or not picking that many
56:06yards before he's being hit just because he's pretty slow to get through that first hole.
56:10I'm expecting things to get a little bit better, better coaching, better offensive line, more experience, but, um, it's a pretty big leap that you have to take.
56:18Yes. And that's why I actually rank him, I think as a 17th overall player this year and take a whole bunch
56:25of these running backs ahead of him, which is like very different than how people are drafting him right now.
56:30Hey, and he did say he stopped eating sugar this off season to get in better shape and improve his cardio quote.
56:37I didn't feel like I was in good enough shape last year.
56:40Does that change your mindset at all? Um, I'm glad he's doing that.
56:44Uh, he's yeah. He touched the ball a lot at Boise.
56:47You say it's that rookie season probably was one from hell.
56:50Like you don't get any off season time at all.
56:53So he, he has to play better. I'm expecting him to play better.
56:56And still he has to play a lot better for him to pay off of these, uh, first rounder right now.
57:02Los Angeles chargers are next. Uh, I just wanted to reiterate one of the topics that I discussed with Ryan Heath back.
57:09I think on June 5th is that show posted.
57:11Go watch it. If you haven't, um, as it relates to Lad McConkie, one of my favorite picks on the board this
57:17year, we like wide receivers on teams that use heavier personnel because bigger bodies, fullbacks or tight ends.
57:22In this case mean that more passes are funneled to the better pass catchers on the field in those moments, which are typically the wide receivers.
57:30So for example, and Ryan wrote this up 51% of Jackson Smith and Jigba's breakout season last year came from two wide receiver sets.
57:37Despite those snaps on the equaling 38% of his routes.
57:40I think Lad McConkie across the NFL could be the player that sees the biggest change in that department.
57:45Only 10% of his routes were from sets fewer than three wide receivers on the field last year.
57:5010% in comparison, Jalen Waddle, 46% of his snaps were with two or fewer wide receivers on the field last year.
57:56So I know that we also have QJ and Trey Harris and Brennan Thompson, your guy, and a bunch of other people on the field.
58:03I don't think I have to worry that much about Lad McConkie coming off the field, but you might have a different version of it.
58:10That's just like really splitting hairs. I think that the two wide receiver set stuff is, is a really big deal.
58:16There's like many years ago, I ran a study yards per route run and two wide receiver sets versus three wide receiver sets.
58:23And it was pretty substantial, the difference. And obviously the same target numbers would prove true.
58:27Like you just mentioned with JSN. So it just, he just has to play in them, but there's a lot of, of them up for grabs.
58:35I think there were the dolphins since like 2022 were second or third highest in their rate of doing that.
58:40And that explains, you know, having a full back on the field, having that second tight end, those types of bodies, uh,
58:46two running backs on the field at the same time.
58:49That just means there's going to be two wide receivers.
58:52So, um, I think that Trey Harris and QJ are competing and I'm hoping McDaniel says Lad McConkie's my Jalen Waddle and
58:58there's not a Tyree kill to get the ball to.
59:01And then we can really speed this thing up.
59:04So I think he's appropriately priced where he's at.
59:06He's a target of mine in round four. Um, as are like literally every one of those wide receivers.
59:12I also like, I mean, literally it goes from T Mac to Zay Flowers to Lad to Jalen Waddle to Garrett Wilson to a Mac Higbuka.
59:19Like if you're doing some type of a salary cap league, uh, that's the range.
59:23Go load up on all those. Sweep the board on all of those.
59:27And I know some comments are going to say, well, Trey Harris is the one that played the ISO wide receiver stuff last year.
59:34That was a different coach. I don't think that he's going to do that again this year.
59:39I could be wrong. Um, and then also the dolphins, like, you know, it wasn't just a Ronda Gadsden and it wasn't just Charlie Kolar.
59:46They also added David and Joku and brought in Alec Ingold.
59:49So there's a whole bunch of outs for only two or fewer wide receivers to be on the field.
59:54Yep. Yep. This year. They'll be at the top of the league for it.
59:58For sure. LA Rams. The craziest Devante Adams stats.
60:01Um, you guys will know what they are. It's inside the red zone and outside of it.
60:06He had a 27% target share, uh, inside the red zone.
60:09And then outside the red zone that drops down to an 18% target share.
60:13He got 0% of his targets outside the red zone were screen.
60:16So nothing manufactured it outside the red zone for Devante Adams.
60:19His average depth of target was almost 16 yards down field.
60:22That's like up there with like Alec Pierce, like some of the highest players in the NFL.
60:27It was completely boom bust in two ways. One, is he scoring a red zone touchdown or two?
60:32Is he going to come up with something way down the field?
60:36Now, as you can see, uh, on the website that we have here, the production goes way up and down with Devante
60:42Adams because the injuries, because it's red zone touchdowns or it's downfield stuff.
60:46None of the manufactured stuff is going to go to Devante Adams.
60:49That's why they have Puka and why they were also number one in rushing success rate.
60:53They don't need to be throwing the ball left and right anymore.
60:57If they're just going to run duo, create all this, uh, runway for Blake Corum and Kyron Williams to never make a mistake rushing the ball.
61:04That's what they're going to do. So he's going to be very volatile.
61:08He's like the most boom bust wide receiver three.
61:10That's where we're drafting him. But I do think that the volatility with Devante Adams is kind of here to stay unless Puka obviously got injured.
61:18Yeah. I mean, when Devante Adams and Puka Nakua were on the field together last year, he out targeted Puka 31 to
61:2410 in the red zone and 28 to four, just an end zone targets.
61:28Again, this, this travels with Devante Adams. It was with the jets.
61:31It was with the Packers. It was with the Viking, not the Vikings, the Raiders, like all these places.
61:37He's that go-to player when you abandon the run and you just have, you know, hand movements, checks, calls, and boom, your slant routes, your fades, all that.
61:45But he's scoring a touchdown. Is it on your radar at all that Kyle Shanahan considered and even told Devante Adams that,
61:51hey, we are looking into this AJ Brown thing.
61:54And if we do, we're going to trade you away.
61:56I think, I mean, he's not lying. I think that's pretty accurate.
62:00I'd rather have Devante Adams or AJ Brown than Devante Adams.
62:03So like, I think there's some truth to that.
62:05At the same time, you play your best players, you scheme up the ball and Devante Adams is clearly their second best receiver.
62:12So I don't think it matters all that much, except that there's like a pretty clear realization that this is not the
62:18like target hog that he was in his absolute prime and that they probably don't want to make him that because he
62:24was leaving the field every other play late in the season.
62:28So I think they're going to keep this kind of volatile, low volume type of role.
62:32It's low volume, like within reason. He's still, I think going to be a top 30 guy whenever he's healthy.
62:38I do think his game really ages well, you know?
62:41He's so smart. Yeah. He sets up corners and finds space and all that type of stuff.
62:45Uh, it can age well, and it already has.
62:48Okay. Miami dolphins are next. Look at this just real quick.
62:51Okay. Look at this ADP board. Beautiful over Yahoo.
62:54Devante Chan, 14th overall player. Scroll all the way down to round 11 and then even more to round 15.
62:59Um, I want to leave this off by saying, and hopefully the longtime viewers of the show know I'm obsessed with Devante Chan.
63:06I think he is an unsung superstar in the league that is viewed as, you know, just a speed back and he
63:12is so much more watching break tackles between the tackles, watch him break at the second level and the third level.
63:18He can do it all. But I do just want to bring up the difference in Devante Chan with Tua and with
63:24Mike McDaniel versus now Malik Willis and Bobby Sloick.
63:27Since entering the league. Okay. Devante Chan is the running back three in receptions per game at just under four, the running
63:33back seven and receiving yards per game and has 13 receiving touchdowns, which is the second most of the position that was
63:39all with mostly Tua and some other quarterbacks. And even if you look at Tua and the other quarterbacks, the splits are
63:46very, very bad in terms of his receiving. And I'm afraid it might get even worse here with Malik Willis, who yes,
63:52in a small sample only targeted his running backs 10% of the time with the Green Bay Packers.
63:57The only quarterback, according to Rich Rebar with a lower target rate, two running backs over that span were Riley Leonard and Anthony Richardson.
64:04And even like when Devante Chan played with Tyler Huntley in Miami, six of his 85 routes he was targeted on at 7.1%.
64:10So again, I want to reiterate, I think Devante Chan is incredible.
64:14He is so clearly the best player on the Miami Dolphins offense, but I do wonder if we are kind of drafting
64:20him very, very, very close to his ceiling as running back eight.
64:23And it's impossible for him to score as one of the top three, four runners this season because of the environment that he's in.
64:30I hear you. I think that's kind of baked in because if this is the same thing, I would draft him like
64:36seventh, eighth overall as the last couple of seasons.
64:39So I think there's a little bit of a discount.
64:42I just looked at it last year. The team that caught the fewest amount of receptions per game was the Baltimore Ravens
64:48because, you know, they didn't have Lamar Jackson. They have Lamar Jackson to run.
64:52Plus their defense was able to keep them in games.
64:55They still caught almost 17 passes per game. I would like to do this as a little homework assignment.
65:00Who other than Devon HN is catching? We have to get to 17 per game.
65:04That's the worst in the league. I don't think the Dolphins are going to finish dead last in receptions per game this
65:11year just because the defense is so bad. They're going to be, you know, just so many checkdowns late in the fourth quarter.
65:17We have to get to 17. Like, okay, I'll give you Greg Dolsage gets four or five of them.
65:23Like we, I don't see how he doesn't come out of here with five receptions per game still.
65:28Interesting. Well, I mean, he hasn't gotten five receptions per game though.
65:31So I think that is pushing it. I don't know.
65:34I'm like, I don't think Devon HN is going to bottom out.
65:37I don't want to come off with that at all.
65:40He's just going in again, area of running backs.
65:43And we just talked about in our top 15 show that in my brain and Saquon's already going ahead of him, hopefully on every single platform.
65:50But like, I think I can make a better case for Ken Walker scoring as a top three overall running back this year than I can Devon HN.
65:58Right. I can walk her ahead. I agree. Yes.
66:01I honestly think I can do it with Amar and Hampton.
66:04Yeah. Pure upside. I think that Amar and Hampton just like, he has more bottom now potential.
66:08That's fair for sure. Yeah. Again, we're swinging for the fences here.
66:12So, uh, and we talked through all the stuff with chase Brown, how he has no competition a lot of Devon HN yet.
66:18He's a good pick much, much, much superior offense and he's being selected later.
66:22So yeah, it's, this is a tricky one for me.
66:25A really tricky. It is. He's really good. I think the offensive line is actually good.
66:30They have nobody else to throw the ball to all the rest of the analysis.
66:34I'm just choosing not to look at it. I do want to say that Joe Mixon attached to Bobby Sloick did finish
66:40as the running back eight in points per game.
66:43Again, that's exactly where you're drafting Devon HN, but that team also went 10 and seven Minnesota Vikings.
66:48Let's go over with Kyler Murray. Um, the Vikings were first in success rate on passes 20 plus yards down the field from 2022 to 2024.
66:55I'm choosing not to bring up any 2025 stats with the Vikings past game for obvious reasons, but across multiple quarterbacks, not
67:01just the Kirk cousins games, it was the most efficient downfield passing, uh, attack.
67:05There was on those same 20 plus yard pass attempts since 2022.
67:09Kyler Murray was down at 31% success rate. That was 46% with the Minnesota Vikings.
67:13Was Kyler Murray not hitting these targets because of a Kyler Murray thing, or because he was not throwing the ball to
67:19Justin Jefferson, Jordan Adams with this KOC offense. And I'll even say the Vikings offensive line.
67:24I think that's going to be the major part that swings as Kyler Murray experience because Sam Darnold came into the offense
67:30was still taking some dumb sacks, especially in those last couple of games there, but was hitting on all of the downfield stuff.
67:37If Kyler Murray can go from a pretty mediocre downfield passer to a pretty good one in the best environment he's ever
67:43had, he's going to walk into fantasy one, uh, quarterback status, uh, just because he's going to still run a lot more than those quarterbacks.
67:50So to me, it's, it's the downfield passing attack.
67:53That's what makes this KOC offense go. And looking at the numbers, Kyler Murray was always pretty mediocre in that.
67:58He also did not have Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, and two quality tackles.
68:02I'm not sure if you saw this recent article from Alec Lewis, but he talked to a, I think former Cardinals coach,
68:08um, once Kyler Murray signed with the Vikings. And he said this, I think you're about to see the best version of Kyler Murray.
68:15And I'm fucking pissed that I'm not going to get to be a part of it.
68:19I'm going to be jealous when he's in a good environment.
68:23His headspace is good. And he shows people who the fuck he is.
68:26Hell yeah. Sign me up, man. Like sign me up.
68:29This is just, especially in a redraft where we don't even have to get through the entire season.
68:34If we get 10 weeks of this thing, just kind of going together, this is going to be, I think a lot of fun.
68:41I'm, I'm very curious about the Vikings this year, just because like they play some of the most fun defense in the league.
68:48And then when KOC has got these two, uh, alien wide receivers running down the football field and they have actual good
68:54offensive line, like that should be a lot of fun for Kyler.
68:57Yeah. It would be sweet if they had a running back to, to take advantage of that.
69:02That'd be Jordan Mason's popping up on every single dive analytic.
69:05Like Jordan Mason's like, Oh, there he is again.
69:08We talked about him on our running back sleeper show.
69:11I believe he was one of those names. Cause he still fits in that somehow going, uh, in the 10th round or, or later.
69:17Um, yeah, again, Kyler just face pressure, stand tall, fire through it and over it and trust the situation.
69:23Cause if you put it where KOC wants you to like good things have happened with far worse quarterback talents, way worse, way worse.
69:29Uh, New England Patriots are next. Speaking of quarterbacks, uh, we all know that Drake may friend of the show finishes the
69:36quarterback two and points per game last year. He's being drafted right now as quarterback four on Yahoo.
69:41Uh, I think that varies depending on where everyone is drafting at this point, just to reiterate what he did last year
69:47on throws 10 or more yards on the field.
69:50He completed 61% of those passes, the second highest rate for a league high 13.4 yards per attempt.
69:55The league average, uh, for completion rate was 48 and a half percent.
69:58So 12% higher, not bad. Uh, and to remind you who is throwing to on those 10 plus yard passes, Mac Collins got 33.
70:05Kayshawn booty got 33. Stefan digs got 31 and Hunter Henry got 27.
70:09Now he gets AJ Brown. Even if slightly a diminished version, he still goes to AJ Brown.
70:14He also gets Romeo Dobbs and keeps Kayshawn booty.
70:16Who is like an isolated wide receiver should threaten defenses over and over again from the outside and is doing it in camp so far.
70:23So this exciting. I mean, it's an improvement for a player who took major strides in year two.
70:28Uh, I think the only possible red flag here is how his left tackle was almost victimized during the playoffs and the super bowl.
70:35And I'm not saying every defense can do that to him, but, uh, it did show where like, uh, the weakness of this team can be.
70:43And, uh, if they can overcome it for all 17 years.
70:46Yeah. It's, it's just the offensive line is the thing that could hold them back on the margins.
70:51I think some of those downfield numbers are just like bound to regress.
70:55Even if you are talking about an MVP caliber quarterback with, with AJ Brown, I was the more I've like thought about the offense.
71:01I think we're just going to see a lot more AJ Brown in the slot, a lot more crossing routes from AJ Brown.
71:08Like, if you think about like Tennessee Titans, like the first like season, Tennessee Titans, like when he was 23 and then
71:14also like how he was used in college, like that was the type of player that he was.
71:19And then recently he's been like X receiver static, you know, like not very fun.
71:23I think that just cause K-Sean was so good down the field last year, Romeo Dobbs, an outside player for a lot of his reps.
71:31Like, I think you're gonna see a lot more crossing routes from AJ Brown, which I have noticed in the training camp clips.
71:37Uh, I've, I've really struggled with how to rank may say annuals burrow hurts.
71:41Like it's impossible. Totally same. Uh, and it's still the group I pick from a lot.
71:46If I'm not taking Kyler Murray, you know, I kind of just let the receivers I've drafted before, you know, make that decision.
71:52You know, if I have T Higgins and it's bro, you know, that's fair.
71:56All right. New Orleans saints next, which by the way, as we are recording, uh, Chris Olavi gets his extension.
72:02All right. Well, deserved there. I got notes on the running back room and kind of the team, uh, as a whole here.
72:08Saints were first in neutral pace last year by a wide margin and just want to bring up their offensive line with
72:15that, both their tackle spots, promising first round talents, including their left tackle, Calvin, uh, Calvin banks, who I really liked as
72:21a prospect, uh, had a nice rookie season. They had him in isolation a lot and he was kind of holding down
72:27the fort, uh, two returning players on the interior.
72:30We're going to argue how good both of them are.
72:32I think one of them is one of them isn't.
72:35And then they added also a left guard from the Buffalo bills, just kind of a floor razor veteran type out there.
72:41That's a pretty good offensive line for a team that's first in pace.
72:45Uh, and that's how Kellen Morris has called his offenses for a long time.
72:49So I don't think that Travis ETN has to play all the passing down snaps to pay off as like a upside
72:55RB to think Kamara returning takes some of like the complete upside appeal from him.
73:00Uh, but he's cleared almost 1400 total yards in three or four, uh, of his NFL seasons.
73:04And, you know, that was like, you know, Doug Peterson, some of the worst offensive lines in the league have been Jacksonville over the last couple of years.
73:12I think we're going to a fast, faster paced offense.
73:15The best offensive line is in his career. And I know that he's not everyone's favorite.
73:20He's not my favorite running back either. I know Kamara's going to catch some passes.
73:24And I still look at the numbers. I'm like the amount of carries he's going to get.
73:29And I think he's going to get all the goal line work.
73:32I still think he's going to pay off as an upside RB too.
73:36Yeah. It's interesting. I mean, when free agency hit and then the NFL draft hit, I was pretty certain that Alvin Kamara would not be on this team.
73:44And not only is he on the scene, even when he takes a pay cut, he's still getting paid a hefty amount.
73:50So I almost have to refactor in my brain how I'm thinking about this running back room.
73:55And I don't know if it's as simple as like two thirds and one third.
73:59Maybe it is, but pass downs, rundowns. I think it's like almost as simple as that.
74:04I mean, Kamara was so bad running the ball the last couple of seasons.
74:08And he's always talked about like, I'm okay with being like the number two role.
74:12And yeah, I mean, this is just training camp reports.
74:15We did have a report that Kamara and Travis Etienne are splitting first team reps at running back and all that type of stuff.
74:22So we're going to get all of that buzz heading into week one.
74:25It's just up to you all to decipher it.
74:28I think week one is going to come and then we're like, yeah, and he touched the ball 18 times and he's
74:34going to do just, just all right. Right. The contracts would suggest that.
74:38Yes. Okay. New York Giants. Jackson Dart was the number one in passer rating on plays, excluding their first read throws.
74:44So that's a little bit of the scramble effect.
74:46That's a little off platform throws. I remember many Darius Slayton drops on these out of structure plays.
74:51The reason why I bring that up is because one, Jackson Dart has been really good as a rusher.
74:57Second most EPA as a rusher among quarterbacks only behind Josh Allen last year.
75:01And I mentioned the excluding first read throws because he's going to have some first read throws in this offense because he
75:07didn't play with Malik neighbors last year and he's going to be out there.
75:11So at one point in the off season when I was definitely reading the reports and seeing like Malik neighbors might not
75:17be himself coming off that second cleanup surgery. Now I'm at the point where I'm breaking ties in favor of Jackson Dart
75:23because Malik neighbors is going to be out there.
75:26So like, as you know, we lose Ricky Pierce all like I moved Brock Purdy down and like now all of a
75:32sudden like Jackson Dart is kind of in that range.
75:35Patrick Mahomes coming off of injury. Jackson Dart now has got his primary weapon back.
75:39I'm looking at the offensive line at Francis Malanoa.
75:42Like I do think there's reason now that Malik neighbors is back in the lineup that Jackson Dart can be treated as
75:48somebody that you can start in week one of fantasy drafts.
75:51It's like one of the reasons why I think in redraft league spending that second round pick on Josh Allen, I think
75:57it's hard to make the math work because there's so many different options kind of in this tier.
76:02I will say 42 and a half percent of his fancy points last year came from rushing and he had the same
76:09passing points per game as Cam Ward did last season.
76:12So that has to change this year, right? I think that math is going to change this year.
76:17The second phase throws that you're talking about, honestly, one of his best place was allowing the pass rush to fly up
76:23the field, kind of not drop his eyes, but climb up in the pocket, draw the linebackers and then throw it over
76:29top of them to one of the Titans. Yep.
76:32That happened over and over and over again. Yep.
76:34I do wonder if defense are going to start catching up to that and onto that because I mean, truly when he
76:40had starts and especially against like the Philadelphia Eagles, he hit like multiple of those for contest.
76:45So he's a fascinating player for me to enter year two, because as maybe bad as Brian Dayball had this team in
76:52close wins and losses last season, I do think Brian Dayball allowed Jackson Dart to play free and did incorporate a lot
76:58of the Ole Miss stuff into it to make him feel comfortable.
77:01And I'm just wondering how and what Matt Nagy is going to do here.
77:05Yeah. Yeah. Allowed sacrifice. It's kind of a tough blend between the two.
77:09Yeah, that's fair. All right. Next New York jets.
77:11So I'm about Garrett Wilson. I mean, I feel like we haven't talked about Garrett Wilson one time this off season.
77:17And I like Garrett Wilson, like other seasons. And it's been at the correct times.
77:22I've been advocating to not draft Garrett Wilson. I'm in on him this year.
77:26All right. I mean, he did, he did lead the jets with 395 receiving yards last year.
77:30I think only playing six games, but we move on.
77:33I'm not a Frank Wright guy though. Okay. With that said, the last full season of Frank Wright calling an offense, a
77:3933 year old Adam Thielen caught 103 passes for over a thousand yards and ranked third in team red zone target chair at 39%.
77:46So again, I have major concerns and questions about Frank Wright being able to feature all these weapons and Ken Sadiq and
77:53Omar Cooper as rookies, and even 80 Mitchell, other than just putting them on the outside and asking to run down the
77:59field and being up to date on personnel groupings and shifts and motions.
78:02I honestly think like the NFL has passed Frank Wright by, but I do have little doubt that Garrett Wilson is going
78:09to get fed opportunity after opportunity, not just between the twenties, but also inside the twenties.
78:13And he's going in the same exact area of lad Jalen Waddle, Garrett Wilson, and Emeka Buka that I absolutely love.
78:19Yeah. Some of those seasons where he just was not hitting in fantasy, those defenses were actually like pretty solid there.
78:25They have a lot of turnover on defense, but they also like lost some of their best players.
78:30Like they're, they're really reliant on like David Bailey having a really good season as a first round pick.
78:36He's a really good player. So I think that he will, but the entire secondary is like Minka Fitzpatrick types, D'Angelo pawns at nickel corner, second rounder.
78:43Who's really tiny nation on right. Very boom bust.
78:46Like I think the defense is going to like kind of struggle this season.
78:50Interesting. They brought in a lot of veterans to hopefully not make it struggle.
78:54Yeah. I mean, they're also kind of veterans on the, the contracts that they got for a reason.
78:59So I think there'll be like some of those jets defenses were like third, fourth, fifth best in the league.
79:05And that's like part of the reason why Garrett Wilson was getting home.
79:08Maybe this is more of like shootout, not shootout, but like, you know, it's a little bit more pressure to put up
79:14some points because they can't trust the defense. How are you ordering that wide receiver group of lad waddle Wilson and Nick Buka?
79:21I like neighbors the most. And then I like waddle.
79:24And then this next tier is pretty close. I think Zay flowers versus Garrett Wilson's pretty tough.
79:29I don't know. This could be like a four hour podcast just on that alone.
79:33Look at my rankings. I have them ranked. I don't have them like memorize exactly how I'm breaking ties.
79:38I know I've really struggled with, with all of them though.
79:41Philadelphia Eagles. Let's talk about Dallas Goddard just because we don't really get to him very much.
79:46Lots of stuff going on with the Sean Mannion offense.
79:49Obviously we talked about Saquon Barkley on the show a whole lot.
79:52Goddard sat between 3.7 and 4.6 receptions per game in seven straight seasons.
79:56Like that's not a very big gap last year.
79:59He did the same. The only difference was last year he spiked for 11 touchdowns.
80:03That was a career high. His tight end nine expected half PPR points is a lot closer where I have him ranked.
80:09But on some of the drafting sites, including Yahoo, he's kind of pushed down like even much further than that, which is
80:15kind of surprising to me because he's still going to be somewhat involved in the offense.
80:20Like I think some of the AJ Brown stuff would filter down to him.
80:24I don't think that Eli Stauer is going to play all that much.
80:28And if he does, I think it'd be like as the second tight end where it's not really like detracting from Dallas Goddard and Sean Mannion.
80:35The first play of the, of the training camp period was 12 personnel, which I do think that that would help Dallas
80:41Goddard out a little bit as well. So I think he's fine.
80:45Like him versus Kelsey and like Isaiah likely now that we have Malik neighbors, I I'm kind of gravitated, gravitating towards Dallas Goddard.
80:51If you're like truly punting the position off this year.
80:54Yeah. I brought him up in our sleeper tight end show because yeah, he's going tight in 12 on Yahoo, but in
81:00best ball formats, he's going to sign in 15.
81:03I love that price. Yeah. I mean, it's easy math, right?
81:06Like we want to target tight ends who have a chance of being a top two pass catcher in their offense.
81:12That's never been easier for Dallas Goddard to do in this offense than with AJ Brown gone.
81:17And like now you're battling Makai Lemon, Dunstavian Wicks, and I guess Eli Stowers for that.
81:21So it's also possible with Sean Mannion, who just coached with the Green Bay Packers who set up a whole bunch of,
81:27and the strengths of Tucker Kraft's yards out of the catch.
81:31So I know he's 31 and he doesn't move like Tucker Kraft anymore, but yeah, we even talked about the fake tush
81:37push stuff to get him those goal line touchdowns too.
81:40They work. That's the wrinkle. Yeah. I like it.
81:42And by the way, Jalen hurts. I think looking at him, he's always ripped.
81:46He looks really lean and like jacked. Like there are some times where I think Jalen hurts at times could look a
81:52little bit puffier, which I totally understand because of how often he gets hit right now at training camp.
81:58This looks like best shape of my life. Jalen hurts, which, you know, you love to see.
82:03Well, I mean, I remember a couple of years ago where I think it was the Dallas Cowboys game.
82:08They couldn't throw the ball well at all. And he won that one via scrambling and via his rushing.
82:13But then there were other times last year. It looked like he lost two steps, not just.
82:18Yeah. Like more like Dak Prescott. Yeah. Yes. So I do wonder if he thought to himself, okay, I need to get
82:24back to actually being a weapon on the ground.
82:27Yes. More often as a scrimmage. Just you guys look at him like his face.
82:31Like you can like see like his, I mean, obviously it's fricking Jalen hurts.
82:35We're talking about it. He looks really ripped right now.
82:38He is the most photogenic person in the NFL since Cam Newton retired.
82:42He's very handsome. And you know, I would say Jalen hurts just from someone that does thumbnails all the time.
82:47Jalen hurts and Michael Wilson are the two most handsome men in the league.
82:51I agree. I look at, I'm a big GQ guy and Jalen hurts is all over GQ Pittsburgh Steelers up next.
82:57Just a team. I want to talk about all the time.
83:00Definitely last year. Aaron Rogers had the quickest time to throw with the shortest depth of target in the league.
83:06Not the best combo that you want for wide receivers.
83:09And that meant that DK Metcalf turned into Michael Pittman.
83:12I mean, 55% of DK Metcalf targets last year were nine yards and shorter.
83:16It was just 40% the year before that 19% of his passes and his targets last year were 20 plus yards on
83:22the field compared to 30% the year before that.
83:25I mean, a career high, 12% of his targets were behind the line of scrimmage.
83:29I mean, DK, as you know, through the math, lowest target depth of his career with 55 or fewer yards in 11 of 15 games.
83:36So I ask you what happens to DK Metcalf when he got turned into Michael Pittman?
83:40And then you just add Michael Pittman, who was better in those areas.
83:44Like, hey, I think there is a chance that we look back on this and Michael Pittman just outscores DK Metcalf despite being three rounds apart on Yahoo.
83:52I got a very similar stat to that. DK Metcalf only had a 15% target share when there was three wide receivers on the field last year.
84:00That was a 25% target share when he was the lone wide receiver.
84:03And that goes back to this, like how many wide receivers it's easier.
84:07There's fewer wide receivers to earn a target. We saw that play out with DK Metcalf.
84:12And I do think that when there is three wide receiver sets, it's going to be harder to earn a target.
84:18And then his targets are going to come way down the football field where Aaron Rodgers doesn't want to target because they have Michael Pittman.
84:25So I see this one the same way. Only thing in the back of my mind is the McCarthy offenses can play
84:31quick and the offensive line is good where like there could be just enough volume to kind of like both for both
84:37these guys to kind of get home. And like a very like low ceiling way.
84:41But historically, the McCarthy offenses do run a little hot.
84:44So that's like the only positive I can say about the situation right now.
84:48Yeah. And if you watch Pittman, it's glance routes, it's RPOs, it's quick hitting slants, it's crossers out of tight formations on mood action and all that stuff.
84:56Yeah. So just something on my radar. Obviously, Pittman's dealt with some injuries, but it's on my radar.
85:01All right. We have five teams left to go.
85:04San Francisco 49ers. First of all, I just want to bring up the Ricky Pierce all stuff.
85:09I didn't have like notes on him, but this came out yesterday.
85:12Yeah, man. All of the offseason videos that he was posting had that dang little brace sleeve, whatever we want to call it.
85:19The fact of the matter is like Tucker Kraft doesn't have one right now and not every single player coming back from injury had it.
85:26And the PCL injury is just one of these where if it doesn't get right without surgery after a year, you kind
85:32of just need to get the surgery. So as of right now, I'm expecting Ricky Pierce all to miss the entire season, which means Deshaun's dribbling time.
85:39We have a full video. If you guys are new here, full video on every single rookie that comes into the NFL,
85:46like 10, 15 minutes on a single prospect looking at their stats and whatnot.
85:50Go watch that. My stuff was going to be on.
85:53Just can I say one thing real quick? Just one thing from Matt Mayoka, who's covered the 49ers for a very long time.
85:59He said, quote, at this point, I think it's reasonable, rational, logical for the 49ers to not expect Ricky Pierce all to make any contributions in 2026.
86:07So his what PCL just didn't heal correctly is going to probably have to get another surgery on it, which really sucks.
86:13I mean, I'm not going to talk about Ricky Pierce until August 10th next year.
86:17I guarantee you. And then we get to George Kittle.
86:20It's like a very similar situation. He's coming back from torn Achilles as a 32 year old.
86:25He was number one in every single efficiency mark for the last two seasons.
86:29Like that's been the case for like you pick the sample size with him.
86:33His target share is at 16 percent. Like that is not what elite tight ends get.
86:37Usually they're in like the 25 percentish range. He has to be really efficient to matter unless everyone else is unhealthy.
86:43And there's a couple like nihilist reporters that cover the 49ers.
86:46They have been saying that Mike Evans does not look very good.
86:50And same thing with George Kittle. It's one of these offenses where like all of a sudden like it's going to be
86:56like striveling and like McCaffrey, you know. So it's just one of these teams where you aim for the upside.
87:02But right now the vibes don't seem that great.
87:04I'm just drafting a ton of striveling at this point.
87:07Yeah, I was hoping you were going to talk about Mike Evans.
87:11But if he hasn't looked great, then well, it's Grant Cohn.
87:14And he loves to, you know, just be like, yeah, this guy fucking sucks.
87:18Yeah, I mean, the Mike Evans stuff. He's great until the hamstrings hit.
87:21And the hamstrings have buried him for multiple games for like the last four years.
87:26I mean, hopefully you all tuned into our Dynasty Rankings video after the NFL draft where, you know, Deshaun struggling was going
87:32anywhere from like the 206 to the 212 in people's drafts.
87:35And I was like, no, just take him 13th overall.
87:38Also, Caelan Black, because Jordan James suffered a broken rib.
87:41He's now going to be the number two. Grant Cohn has really liked Caelan Black.
87:45So, you know, maybe we'll do a training camp update next week.
87:48Let's do it. All right. Seattle Seahawks. You've got three in a row here.
87:52Go ahead. All right. Let's go with Rashid Shaheed.
87:55Last year when he got integrated with the Seahawks, this did not come to fruition in terms of the receiving game.
88:01Obviously, he's still very important with the special team stuff.
88:04But he averaged 30 yards per game, only 2.4 receptions.
88:06That's including the playoffs from week 10 on. Do you want to remind people, though, in the 15 games next to Chris
88:13Olave from 2024 to 2025, he averaged 57 yards per game in that, which would make him the wide receiver 38 on wide receiver 30 usage.
88:20I don't think the most likely scenario is that Rashid Shaheed could be a wide receiver four in fantasy.
88:25But I do think there's a chance if the Seahawks defense isn't quite as good, if they just have to pass the
88:32ball, if it's not the same exact scheme that Clint Kubiak had where everything was going to JSN.
88:37I just want to remind people that I think that Rashid Shaheed is still really good at wide receiver.
88:42And as a reminder, the Seahawks could have paid Kenneth Walker the same exact money that they gave Rashid Shaheed, and they
88:48chose to give it to Rashid Shaheed. So he's kind of like a fringe sleeper to me, where I think in best
88:55ball, he makes a lot of sense. But I think even in redraft, I do think there's a chance where he could
89:01be a wide receiver four during bye weeks injuries, that type of thing, where he's a reasonable guy to throw into your starting lineup.
89:08Shaheed appeared in our wide receiver sleeper show. Hopefully you all watch that.
89:11If you haven't, go watch it after this video.
89:14I mean, he's even fallen since then. I think he was the sixth pick of the 12th round on Yahoo at that point.
89:20And now he's the 13 three wide receiver 54.
89:23Like, yeah, his targets went down from 22% with the New Orleans Saints down to 14% this last year.
89:28Like you said, 15 of 26 targets for 188 yards and zero touchdowns in the playoffs.
89:33He did have three catches for 78 yards. But man, Jeremy Fowler said Shaheed had a major spring and more short intermediate
89:39targets are in the pipeline for him this year.
89:42And if his competition is Cooper Cup and not Torrey Horton, then there's a chance that we fast forward six weeks in
89:48the season and it's frickin JSN and Rashid Shaheed.
89:50And we're just burning fools and 12 personnel. I think he's a really good out route runner can hit the brakes kind
89:57of like a, you know, version of the tank Dell like heyday for that one season.
90:01Tampa Bay Buccaneers. All right. Deep dive here. Bucky Irving came back from injury in week 13.
90:06Um, there was a shoulder injury. It was a foot injury.
90:09He had the offseason surgery. Bucky Irving's healthy today.
90:12But from week 13 on the Buccaneers had seven carries inside the five yard line.
90:16Sean Tucker had six of the seven. So we have to figure this one out because Sean Tucker is a lot bigger than Bucky Irving.
90:23Bucky Irving really struggled in like the short yard of success rate stats this last season after being really good with Liam Cohen the year before.
90:30But if Sean Tucker is going to get there at the goal line, the upside chances for Bucky Irving like really get
90:37hard to imagine enough to the point where I'm fading Bucky Irving because they brought in Kenny Gainwell for a reason.
90:43We all know what that is is to catch a zillion passes.
90:46They give him $10 million guaranteed. So I think that's one way we're just not going to see Bucky as involved as the rookie season.
90:53Also Liam Cohen is like notorious for being excellent in the, uh, the screen game.
90:57And I don't think that the new staff is going to be able to repeat those marks from his rookie season.
91:03And then if Sean Tucker is going to be mixing in for even half the goal line carries, it's hard to make
91:10the projections work on top of, you know, he's just at risk of, you know, in the second week of the season,
91:16he has a setback to his shoulder. Nobody would be surprised.
91:19So he's somebody that was really good that rookie season.
91:22I'm just like struggling to find reasons to be on them this year.
91:25I mean, so, so good that rookie season. Um, you know, at least he's not going around four on Yahoo.
91:31He's going around five. On Yahoo, which does make it easier to click that button because again, we've talked a hundred times
91:37about those round four wide receivers and round five though.
91:40You still have Terry McLaurin and Luther burden. You still have Tyler Warren, who he brought up.
91:45You still have quarterbacks and Jane Daniels and Jalen hurts.
91:48So he's in that cluster of running backs with Deandre Swift and Bucky Irving and Quinchan Judkins and Dave Montgomery.
91:53That all flaws. I actually think Swift is the safest of the group.
91:57That's maybe a conversation. I think Swift is like in the scatabo tier and then it's kind of a tear break to the rest of these guys.
92:05I mean, you mentioned it in order to score fancy points for running backs.
92:09You really need to score touchdowns. Zero touches inside the five yard line last season and play just two snaps in that
92:15area of the field all year long. So maybe this changes with Zach Robinson and stuff, but at the same time, they
92:21do have three ball carriers, three of them. And we don't have Liam Cohen calling in place.
92:26That's for sure. Two more to go. Tennessee Titans are up next.
92:30Speaking of these running backs, Hayden, I feel like we haven't talked about Tony Pollard at all this summer.
92:35And like on Yahoo is going pretty late, right?
92:37He's the running back 31, the end of the seventh round.
92:41If you do look on best ball sites, he's going a full round earlier.
92:45So that's 612 and running back 27. So he might be one of these players that has the largest gap between best ball and redraft.
92:52And that always makes me try to figure out which one's right and which one's wrong.
92:56He turned 275 touches into over 1200 yards and five touchdowns last year.
93:00If you had Tony Pollard on your team, you didn't feel that at all until super late in the season, like the
93:06final four or five weeks where you didn't even want to start him because you couldn't trust him at that point.
93:12But he went nuclear in that spot. However, that's still only equaled the running back 30 and points per game, which is basically where he's going right now.
93:20Again, on Yahoo, he was running back 22 in the previous two years.
93:24So I guess my question is like, because of the offense, because of the situation that he's in, is this just a small wooden player or Hayden?
93:31Do you actually see a potential big win outcome?
93:34And when you get those in round six, around seven at running back, it does massive favors for your fancy team.
93:40I can see him finishing as like the running back 24.
93:43So kind of in that range, I'm expecting the Titans to get a little bit better.
93:47But I still think that Cam Ward's like very much a project.
93:51I have like some long term faith with them, but I think it's going to take the next couple seasons to get there.
93:57And the offensive line is just it's it's still a disaster.
94:01I think that was like the reason why he had the yardage because they would give him the volume, but he did
94:07not have the touchdowns to like make him that relevant.
94:10So I think it also partially comes down to like, are we serious with Tajay Spears or not?
94:15Like at some point, like they've they've like attempted it, then pulled him back, then like made him a receiver and then never the rushing stuff like.
94:22Well, now you have Dayball who has not coached him before.
94:25Like I am. I like Tajay Spears a lot.
94:28There are moments the previous season at the end of the year that he like really flashed as a pass catcher.
94:34But I don't know. Like, are you clicking Tony Pollard's name this year?
94:38I am because I want my running back in my flex and that kind of I like Jalen Warren in that range.
94:44I like kind of Pollard in that range. And then Chuba is going to fall to me.
94:49And then I think I'll probably draft some Chuba.
94:51I kind of like those guys for where they're being drafted.
94:54I think like where they're drafted versus the receivers next to them.
94:58Raw fantasy points to see like who's more likely to hit your flex DK Metcalf or like Tony Pollard.
95:03Like I don't think that's close. Like to me, like definitely be Tony Pollard.
95:07So I kind of gravitate towards this like dead zone running back.
95:11But they're they're priced pretty late. All right. Let's close with the Washington Commanders.
95:15There's really just like not that many guys to talk about.
95:18So I'll just go back to the Terry McLaurin stuff because we're going to talk about the running backs a lot as
95:24we get to the training camp practices. 23 games with Gene Daniels.
95:27He's the wide receiver 14. He's not being drafted like the wide receiver 14.
95:31In those games, he's run really high. He scored a lot of downfield touchdowns.
95:35And at the same time, that's what Daniels is really good at.
95:39That's what Terry McLaurin is really good at. So if like a duo is going to run really pure on downfield stuff,
95:45it would be this would be at the top of that list.
95:48And then there's the upside that in a new offense, less stagnant role.
95:52Nobody else to throw the ball to like if you scroll down, like we're scrolling down a long way.
95:57So we get that second wide receiver. We get some Chigakwankwo.
96:00But it's like all the way down there. And what Antonio Williams buried around buried.
96:05And we'll see if Antonio Williams could like really play in two wide receiver sets.
96:09He's kind of a slot only guy to me.
96:12So it's just one of these teams where we're crossed off.
96:15Iuke after the usually comment from the presser. I mean, we had a discussion on you like, you know, prior to everything happening.
96:21And it's not a surprise to me that it trended this way, but he is not going to be a Washington commander.
96:27No. Yeah. If you guys missed that interview, they asked him, like, do you track the social media?
96:32That's usually. Yeah. The GM and the head coach right next to each other.
96:36And he's like, do you check social media? And he was like, it doesn't usually come up.
96:41But he said, usually at the end of it, like to be like, this time it's coming up.
96:46Very funny. And then I think Stefan digs as a link has only been through people like me and you and not like local people at all.
96:54Right. Maybe it would like be Debo, but the 49ers can get involved with the Debo stuff.
96:59They might just say, like, we're rebuilding, man. Like, we're not going to have everything in place this year.
97:04Like, Jaden, go deal with it. And like, Chico Cuonco could be the guy.
97:08That's what I'm saying. Like, yeah, I'm drafting a lot of Washington commanders.
97:12I understand because there's not a lot to pick from.
97:15And so it's concentrated. And I believe in this offense with a new play caller that some edges exist here.
97:20And so I'm drafting Jaden and I'm drafting Terry and they go in the exact same spot.
97:25But then we talked about, you know, the wide zone outside zone stuff and how bill and, you know, minimal work last
97:31year scored the best in, in that area. And then I said, Chico Cuonco could be David Blouse, Sam LaPorta.
97:37And I feel like that's kind of becoming a trend.
97:40So maybe I'm just going to be wrong and draft too many commanders, but I'm a little optimistic here.
97:45No, I like being optimistic here. And two seasons ago when they popped off, Terry McLaurin, 117 targets.
97:50Next closest was Earth. And then it was Lombardy Zaccheaus.
97:53And like, that's like right now, if the season started today, that's how we would be projecting it.
97:58McLaurin. Now it's a Cuonco. And then like, I guess Zaccheaus would be Antonio Williams, but way, way down the threshold there.
98:05That's going to do it. Our first stats versus film of the season in under an hour and 45 minutes.
98:10Crisp, crisp. Don't get used to that. Usually they're two hours.
98:13We'll see. We'll see. Again, we're going to try to make these live during the season on Tuesday evenings so we can interact with you during the show.
98:21So you can watch it live on top of that.
98:24So keep on the lookout. We'll be revealing our in-season schedule at some point, but it might be a month and a couple weeks from now, Hayden.
98:32But it feels like that's going to be tomorrow.
98:34So let's get there when we get there. All right, everyone.
98:38We'll be back here, I guess, on Monday with a new episode, another four episodes next week.
98:42Thank you all for tuning in for our first week back.
98:45Our new era here at Yahoo. You've made it an easy one.
98:49Up the villa. We'll talk to you guys soon.
98:51See ya.
