Adonai Mitchell

PositiveSleeper40:36

Adonai Mitchell has emerged as a top waiver target, leading the Jets with a 25% target share through two weeks and recording at least 60 receiving yards in both games. Matthew Berry highlights a favorable Week 3 matchup against a Detroit secondary that allows significant yardage to opposing wide receivers.

Insight page

Bryce Young

PositiveProjection19:30

Matthew Berry notes that the Panthers are finally letting Bryce Young pass more, with 36 attempts in each of the first two games and 264+ passing yards in four straight games. While acknowledging the early schedule strength (Bears, Falcons), Berry suggests Young's elite pedigree as a Heisman winner and No. 1 overall pick is finally being unlocked, making him a priority waiver add.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout29:05

Bryce Young is averaging over 27 fantasy points and 324 passing yards per game. The Panthers' offensive philosophy has shifted under Brad Idzik to include more motion, play-action, and higher pass volume, making Young a viable fantasy asset.

Insight page

Dallas Goedert

NegativeInjury45:39

Dallas Goedert is dealing with an injury that is expected to keep him sidelined for potentially a month or two, prompting the Eagles to sign Zach Ertz to the practice squad.

Insight page

Darren Waller

NegativeUsage47:12

Darren Waller is a touchdown-or-bust tight end who is utilized primarily in high-leverage red zone situations. While he has limited volume with only five targets through two games, his role in the Panthers' offense makes him a viable option for those desperate at the position.

Insight page

Davante Adams

PositiveUsage15:09

Davante Adams had a monster game with 195 receiving yards, two touchdowns, and a 33% target share, serving as the primary focus of Matthew Stafford's passing attack.

Insight page

Denzel Boston

PositiveBreakout36:02

Matthew Berry highlights Denzel Boston as a breakout receiver who leads the Browns with a 100% end-zone target share and 95% route participation. He is currently WR15 in utilization score and has shown big-play ability, making him a priority add and potential starter.

Insight page

Dontayvion Wicks

PositiveUsage38:41

Matthew Berry notes that Dontayvion Wicks has secured a consistent role in Philadelphia, recording 12+ fantasy points in both games. He is averaging 73 receiving yards per game with a 15.7 average depth of target, with 60% of his targets coming on deep passes.

Insight page

Emanuel Wilson

PositiveUsage31:23

Matthew Berry highlights Emmanuel Wilson as a strong waiver add while Jadarian Price is injured. Wilson played 79% of snaps after Price left the game, out-touching George Holani 14-4. Berry notes Wilson could maintain a flex-worthy role even when Price returns due to his impressive performance.

Insight page

Isaiah Likely

PositiveProjection8:43

Despite getting banged up and missing a few plays during the Monday night game, Isaiah Likely is expected to be fine moving forward.

Insight page

Jameis Winston

NegativeProjection6:35

Jameis Winston is considered a downgrade from Jackson Dart for the Giants offense. His performance was poor in his initial appearance, partly due to a lack of reps with new receivers like Malik Nabers, leading to timing issues and miscommunications.

Insight page

Jonah Coleman

PositiveSleeper24:16

Matthew Berry identifies Jonah Coleman as a high-upside three-down back who can catch passes and run between the tackles. Following injuries to J.K. Dobbins and R.J. Harvey, Coleman played 83% of snaps and handled nearly all touches in his first opportunity, making him worth a No. 1 waiver priority.

Insight page

Kenyon Sadiq

PositiveSleeper49:13

Kenyon Sadiq is a recommended stash candidate. As a physical first-round pick, the team is actively finding creative ways to get him the ball, including rushing attempts, and he is expected to have a larger role soon.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

NegativeInjury9:14

Malik Nabers is an injury risk coming off a knee injury that was considered very rare. He also left the Monday night game with a shoulder injury before returning, contributing to the Giants' offensive rhythm issues.

Insight page

Malik Washington

NegativeUsage44:29

Malik Washington has maintained a 26% target share on the season. While the Miami passing offense is described as 'gross,' he is consistently running routes near the line of scrimmage.

Insight page

Marcus Mariota

PositiveValue22:34

Matthew Berry recommends Marcus Mariota as a long-term replacement for injured quarterbacks like Jayden Daniels. Despite a tough upcoming matchup against Seattle, Mariota has ranked in the top 10 in fantasy points per dropback over the last two years.

Insight page

Pat Freiermuth

PositiveValue48:42

Pat Freiermuth is a recommended mid-tier tight end add, currently ranking in the top 10 in tight end utilization score. He is viewed as a reliable option, especially if Michael Pittman remains sidelined.

Insight page

Rashod Bateman

PositiveUsage44:15

Rashad Bateman commanded a 31% target share in Week 2. With Jacoby Lane on IR, Bateman appears positioned to be the team's WR2 even if Zay Flowers returns to the lineup.

Insight page

Tank Bigsby

PositiveValue28:59

Matthew Berry argues Tank Bigsby should be rostered in 100% of leagues. With Saquon Barkley dealing with a stinger, Bigsby would immediately become an RB1 behind the Eagles' offensive line. Bigsby has averaged 5.3 yards per carry in his career and out-touched Will Shipley 15-9 when Barkley left the game.

Insight page

Terrance Ferguson

NegativeRole17:21

Terrence Ferguson saw a 30% target share and recorded 6 catches for 51 yards and a touchdown in the absence of Puka Nacua. While he is a viable start when Nacua or Adams is out, his role is uncertain when the full receiving corps is healthy due to the Rams' tight end rotation.

Insight page

Tre Tucker

NegativeUsage42:23

Trey Tucker has seen a 24% target share and an 81% route rate for the Raiders, but Matthew Berry and Adam Ronas express caution regarding his long-term value. While he is currently in a primary role, his history of inconsistency and the potential return of Brock Bowers make him a risky add despite the improved offensive environment under Clint Kubiak.

Insight page

Tyson Bagent

PositiveBreakout23:21

Matthew Berry notes that while the matchup against Philadelphia is difficult, Tyson Bagent possesses fantasy upside as long as he remains the starter in the Ben Johnson-led offense.

0:17but on the East Coast. But you know what?
0:20It is definitely five o'clock somewhere. I don't know exactly where it's five o'clock.
0:24Somebody should look that up and put that into the chat.
0:27But it's definitely five o'clock somewhere, which means the bar is open.
0:30As always, we've been at 9 a.m. We're going to be at 9 a.m.
0:35this entire week. And we've got a great show.
0:37We're going to talk about Monday Night Football, obviously, everything that happened.
0:41Stafford's back. Devontae's back. We'll talk about all that.
0:43Not to mention Week 3 Waiver Wire. Very important.
0:46All those injuries, especially at the quarterback position. And joining me now is my friend making his happy hour debut.
0:51He is the co-host of Fantasy Life Radio every single day on SiriusXM.
0:55My friend Adam Ronis. Of course, Adam, we all follow you on social media at Adam Ronis, R-O-N-I-S.

1:47So yeah, make sure you catch us. It's a fun show.
1:50Kendall and I, good chemistry, great rapport. We're a little different, but that's why the show works.
1:55We have a lot of fun. It's entertaining. Got a lot of positive feedback from people listening, you know, not just spitting
2:02out stats and all the information, but some entertainment as well for people on their, you know, at work or after work
2:08because you could always listen on demand if you can't listen live.
2:11So make sure you check us out. It's definitely a fun show.
2:15All right, there you go. Thank you very much.
2:17Thanks for killing a little bit of time. And absolutely, it is a definitely a fun show.
2:22You are one of the hardest working men in show business, Adam Ronas.
2:26Again, The Daily Show with Fantasy Life Radio. We actually do it seven days a week for SiriusXM.
2:31You're on for six of them with us. You and Kendall Monday through Friday at 11 a.m.
2:36Eastern. Then of course, as you mentioned, Sunday morning, you and the coach Gene Clemens, seven to nine a.m.
2:42Eastern. That is early, but of course gets you set right there.
2:45When we start getting into the international games, you guys are in prime time.
2:49So we'll do that there. Let's talk about this Monday Night Football game, Adam.
2:53You know, it's, there's not a, I don't know that there's a ton to take away here.
2:58I don't know there's a ton of actual items here because Jackson Dart goes down very early, ultimately is ruled out.
3:04It's the, they're saying it's an MCL right now.
3:07So it looks like it could have been much worse, you know, breathe a sigh of relief, but seems like he's going to miss some time.
3:14Um, and without, there's all sorts of caveats that I think like you have to take here, but right.
3:20You know, not only were they on the road in LA, but the Rams had had 10 days to prepare.
3:25Right. And they, they come over from, uh, from Australia where they got their asses kicked.
3:30And so, you know, you knew they were going to come out for bear Aaron Donald's home return, you know, the whole thing.
3:37And then they lose their starting quarterback, the giants do.
3:39So, you know, they just didn't have a chance, uh, there.
3:43Um, but let's, I think that's the biggest starting point here is that it looks like Jackson Dart's going to miss some time.
3:49We don't know a timetable as of 9 AM on Monday morning, but he's going to miss some time.
3:55What are your expectations for this giants offense? Adam without Jackson Dart and famous Jameis under center?
4:00Yeah, I think it's a downgrade for sure. Now I can't take much away from what we saw from Winston yesterday.
4:06He clearly was not good at all. And part of it is he's not getting many reps with these guys.
4:11A lot of new receivers with Malachi fields Malik neighbors was injured last year.
4:15So you could see the timing was off, even on the interception, you know, Peyton Manning talked about it, how it seemed like it was a miscommunication.
4:23He thought neighbors was going to go one way.
4:26He did not. So I can't really take much away.
4:29And also the Rams defense is very good. We didn't see it week one in Australia against San Francisco where they got
4:35dominated, but we know that there's talent and this is a good defense and it showed up.
4:40So I just think that the air was taken out of the giants too, with Jackson Dart, there was so much excitement after week one.
4:47That building at MetLife, I've been to a lot of those Cowboys Giants games.
4:51I didn't go this year, but usually that is 50-50, 60-40, sometimes in favor of Dallas fans.
4:56And I spoke to someone who was there. They said it was not even close to that.
5:01It was more 75-25 giants fans. So there's a lot of excitement with Harbaugh there.
5:05And I think even for this game, there were giants fans who thought they could actually go into LA and win.
5:11I didn't. I don't think you did, but there was definitely excitement.
5:15And when Dart goes down, you could just feel the air went out of that team.
5:19So, you know, Isaiah likely was a guy that had a great week one.
5:23I think he'll be fine. I was not as high on Malik neighbors as others.
5:28I was very worried about him coming off this knee injury.
5:31Yeah. Adam, you and Stefania Bell, by the way, Stefania Bell, the great Stefania Bell, who joins us every single Friday here
5:37on the happy hour show, she, she exercised caution.
5:40She just said, look what Malik neighbors is trying to now listen, he's young, he's talented, and it happened early in the season, but I'm paraphrasing here.
5:47What he is coming back from is very, very rare, but you know, both the injuries and the other thing about this
5:54offense getting out of rhythm, Adam, is that, you know, Malik neighbors left this game.
5:58He left the game with a shoulder injury ultimately ended up coming back.
6:02But just, you think about just again, Isaiah likely got banged up and and left the field for a couple of plays as well.
6:09So like, there was just a lot of, just the whole thing was out of sync to your point.
6:14It's already a tough matchup. You're already on the road.
6:17Then you lose your starting quarterback early. Then you lose your star receiver.
6:21He comes back, but okay. But then the tight end goes out for a handful of plays.
6:26You're shuffling running backs in and out. It just, it didn't seem like they could get anything going.
6:31The biggest thing was the run game struggled. And so when the run game struggled, they became a very, and then they got down.
6:38They just became a very one dimensional offense for, I'm with you, like a rusty Jameis Winston.
6:43As the Dr. Deoxide says, dart, scatterboot, neighbors, nausea, you name it.
6:46The Giants are the biggest injury risk outside of the Niners.
6:49Do you think there's a substation east or is it just a bad day at the office for the Giants and their medical staff?
6:56Yeah, it definitely feels like there's a substation out here at this point.
7:00I'll go, I'm not too far from MetLife. So I'll go check it out.
7:04Please do. Investigative reports. Yes. But I guess the one bright spot here is the schedule in the weeks ahead for the Giants.
7:11They have the Titans, the Cardinals and Washington. So if Winston can shake off some of that rust and some of these
7:17injuries are not serious, especially with neighbors, because again, neighbors was a guy who started to go in the second round.
7:23And I saw a lot of people I respect and sharp people taking them, but I couldn't do it.
7:28And then when I heard Stefania Bell on your podcast, I was like, okay, that makes me feel like at least somewhat steered in the right direction.
7:36So I didn't take neighbors anywhere. I always say when the money's on the line, that dictates how you feel.
7:42And I was in a draft where it was early third round and I did not click on neighbors.
7:47So that always, and I'm sure you're the same way when you're doing your ranks or projections.
7:52Yeah, I have very little neighbors this year. Just, I guess Stefania scared me off a little bit.
7:57And just also just in terms of where he was going at certain at early in the draft season, he was going
8:04very high when, you know, like that first, you know, social clip of look, look how fast he is.
8:09He's running in shorts. That's what, that's what, that's what got me like, um, are we serious?
8:14Like it's great. It was a great sign. It was a great sign to see that.
8:19But now all of a sudden, it's like, oh yeah, he's fine.
8:22He's good to go. I think it was because originally people thought he would be on the PUP list.
8:28And then the indication was he's not, but like you said, just seeing video and everyone's like, all right, time to take them in the second round.
8:35It's like, it doesn't work like that. It does not work like that either way.
8:40I think you're on the same page with me, which is that a full week of reps with the ones, Jameis Winston will be better.
8:47He'll be a downgrade from dart, but like, um, you know, assuming neighbors is out there, I think likely we'll be fine.
8:53Hopefully they get the running game going a little bit.
8:56The schedule is favorable for them as well. Other side of the ball.
9:00I don't know that there's much to take away here with the Rams.
9:04No Puka, Nakua, no problem. Matthew Stafford looks like he was last year, just dialing it up.
9:09Devante Adams, just a monster game for him. Fourth most receiving yards in a game in his career.
9:14He goes for 195. He gets the two touchdowns, a 33% target share.
9:17Stafford had only eyes for him. I said before the game, I said, look, if you, if when Puka was officially ruled
9:24out and we talked about this on Sunday morning.
9:26So every, every Sunday morning I do a show, uh, me and Alex cups.
9:30So from noon to one, listen to you and Jean on Sirius XM from seven to nine.
9:35And then what you should do, get some breakfast, spend some time with the kids set, you know, tell them you'll see them on Monday.
9:42And then you watch me and Cupsie, me and Alex cups from noon to one.
9:47And then you watch football the rest of the day.
9:50Um, and that's really how your Sunday should go.
9:52Honestly, that's the perfect Sunday. It is. It really is.
9:55It is really what you should do. Uh, so anyway, on Sunday, what I said, we got a lot of Puka questions
10:01and I'm sure you guys did as well. And my, my answer there was, is that if you had somebody viable, right?
10:08If you had Aaron Jones was a question that came up, like, should I start Aaron Jones?
10:13Who's going to get a big workload in place of Jordan Mason or Puka?
10:17I'm like, or wait to hope. I'm like, start Aaron Jones.
10:20If you had somebody viable, start them. But if, if it was somebody like, you know, like a desperation play, then I would wait and pivot.
10:27If Puka's out, Puka's out. And so what I tweeted out, as I said, you know, listen, I think it's Parkinson or Ferguson in that order.
10:35Um, uh, you know, if you need somebody, if you need actually a wide receiver, Malachi Fields or Kanata Mumfield.
10:41The only one that worked out there was Terrence Ferguson, six for 51 and a touchdown.
10:45He gets a 30% target share. The only players on the Rams with double digit target share were him and Devante Adams.
10:51My question to you is no Puka Nakua. And again, in week one, it was all Parkinson.
10:56And we know, um, and we know they've got, uh, you know, Tyler Higbee there as well.
11:01They've, you know, they've got, uh, I think Davis Allen, they've got 8 billion tight ends.
11:06And I feel like we all like Ferguson. We all think he's the, he's the most talented tight end on that team,
11:12but we also know that they like to rotate guys in and out.
11:16Is this something that's indicative of Ferguson getting more usage moving forward at him?
11:20Or is this just a, Hey, it was his day and no Puka.
11:24So I don't think there's anything we can, uh, you know, read into this.
11:28So he was a guy I drafted a lot as my second tight end.
11:32Now I play in a lot of leagues with 20 rounds.
11:35So in those formats, I'm going to take two tight ends.
11:38I know a lot of people listening only play with 16 roster spots in those formats.
11:43I do not take a backup tight end. I always say this, you know, you even people take second quarterbacks in those
11:49formats when you only have five to six bench spots, as we've seen in the first two weeks with all these injuries,
11:55when you draft, you think, Oh, I can take a second quarterback.
11:59I take a second tight end. Then the season starts.
12:02You got AJ Brown, Nico Collins, they thought all these, you know, you know, those guys are on your bench and you're
12:08like, I can't roster a second tight end or a quarterback.
12:11I need someone in my lineup. So I did draft Ferguson in those leagues.
12:15He was actually one of my, uh, fallbacks. I had a league with Puka.
12:19I waited because I had Ferguson. It worked out obviously, cause he had a good game.
12:24I do think that when Puka Nacur or Devante Adams is out, you gonna, you're gonna start Terrence Ferguson.
12:29When they're both in, I am not convinced just yet.
12:32I can't take away anything from week one. Cause the offense was just a complete disaster in Australia.
12:37Sean McVay made some comments that he, it was his fault with the travel.
12:41Who knows if that was it. That's, you know, you gotta give San Francisco credit, but I do think if Adams or
12:48Puka is out and going into the year, like Adams is older, he missed time last year with a hamstring injury to end the season.
12:55And we know Puka constantly gets banged up during games.
12:58He usually returns and plays well, but if one of those guys is out, I think Ferguson is the guy you have to start.
13:05We saw it last night. I think that will continue, but if Puka is back next week and it's Puka and Adams, I don't feel comfortable starting Ferguson.
13:13Cause like you said, they're going to rotate a lot of the tight ends.
13:17Uh, they play a lot of three, uh, personnel, 13 personnel with three tight ends.
13:21So, uh, I think he's a guy that when one of those guys are out, I feel comfortable starting them.
13:27If not, I don't. Yeah, I think that's, I think that's, I think that's absolutely right.
13:31Um, uh, you know, as the Fergler, that's what PJC 0501, uh, mentions.
13:35Yes. The Fergler, uh, for the love of God, I think is, is a good stash, but let's remains to be seen
13:41as to whether or not he is a consistent fantasy starter for us.
13:45You know, it's so funny every year, Adam, we worry about running backs getting injured, right?
13:50You know what I mean? This like, Oh, I don't know that guy's, you know, Chris McCaffrey, is he going to be able to play?
13:57And we, we were, you know, and Derek Henry, are the wheels going to fall off here?
14:02You know? And, um, and yet as we sit here through two weeks of the season, all the injuries are to like
14:08wide receivers and quarterbacks and a couple of tight ends.
14:11Like, I like, we have one real running back injury, which it will get to, right.
14:16But I mean, that's, it's, I mean, what one and a half, I'll say one and a half, honestly, as a neck
14:22brace nation says, QB injuries feels like it's at an all time high.
14:26They make better decisions in their careers, their finances, their relationships and their communities.
14:30And I want that for you. Listen to and follow Platypus economics available now, wherever you get your podcasts.
14:35We had three big ones, three big ones from three young players, like old man, Matthew Stafford, old man, Aaron Rogers.
14:41They're all fine. You know, these guys limping around out there, but it's, it's the young bucks that are, you know, running around like crazy.
14:48Uh, and so I think that first off, I'm, you know, yes, uh, I was about to say ESPN.com like, you know
14:55what, like, I said that for 15 years and it's still in there somewhere, but fantasylife.com boys, uh, boys and girls, uh, fantasylife.com.
15:01We have this tool that sort of looks at roster percentage across, across the industry.
15:06And so we sort of take a number there.
15:08And so what we're using is players that are available in over 50% of the majority of leagues.
15:14And so obviously every league is different. Um, uh, so maybe these guys are available.
15:18Maybe they're not, but keep looking. We'll go through it.
15:21And at number one, for me, he's still available in about half the leagues.
15:25And I'm shocked by this Adam Ronas and it's Tyler Shuck through the first two games of the season.
15:30No one has more passing yards in the NFL than Tyler Shuck.
15:34Each of his last four starts. He's had over 20 fantasy points since week 10 of last season.
15:39He's the fourth best quarterback in fantasy football on a point per game basis.
15:43This is a 10 game sample. Tyler Shuck is legitimate and look at this upcoming schedule.
15:47Adam Ronas home to Las Vegas, home to Atlanta, home to Minnesota.
15:51Okay. That's a tough one, but then at the New York giants three of the next four, you feel very good about starting the man called Tyler Shuck.
15:59Yeah, I'm with you. I'm surprised he's available in that many leagues as well.
16:03Cause we saw it last year. Now he is, was an older rookie, but we saw that second half when he came
16:09in, provided a spark for the saints offense. And he even ran a little bit.
16:14We didn't see it much week one, but he had nine carries in week two, had the rushing touchdown, even had a tush push.
16:21And we just need him to realize that the game starts in the first and second quarter.
16:25Cause it's taken the second half of specifically the fourth quarter and the first two weeks for him to get it done.
16:32But the bottom line is we don't care are the stats there at the end of the day.
16:37And they are for Shuck. It's also a Kellen Moore offense where they're fast paced.
16:41They run a lot of plays. Obviously week one was due to overtime.
16:45I think they ran like 86 plays, but they're going to be that fast paced offense.
16:50And the more plays we have, the more opportunity we have for fantasy points.
16:54Chris Olave obviously is a stud. Devon Vele has looked really good.
16:57He is making like every catch, some difficult catches.
17:00I'm just amazed at how good he is. Jawan Johnson was great last year.
17:04People forgot how good he was. And then maybe Jordan Tyson comes back in a few weeks.
17:09We're hoping he had a great training camp. All the beat reporters were raving that he was the best player out there.
17:15We obviously know he needs to stay healthy, but yeah, absolutely.
17:18Shuck should not be available. And if you are fortunate enough that one of these quarterbacks that got injured this week and
17:24he's available, he's the guy you got to go get.
17:27Yeah. Stop shucking around and go get you some Tyler Shuck.
17:30I don't know what the Shuck you're thinking about here.
17:33Shucking morons over there that are allowing Tyler Shuck to be available in their leagues.
17:38It's shucking disgusting if you ask me, Adam. All right, let's move on to somebody else that is shucking surprising and that's Bryce Young.
17:45Roll Tide, Bryce Young, former number one overall pick in the NFL draft.
17:48All of a sudden, this Carolina Panthers, they continue to pound.
17:51We say keep pounding and you know what they do?
17:54They've been pounding teams. They're available. He's available in 67% of leagues and he's at Cleveland this week, a Browns defense that
18:01looks like a bit of a shell of their former self, right?
18:04On the season, he's the second best quarterback in fantasy football.
18:07He's averaging over 27 points per game. He's averaging 324 passing yards per game through two weeks.
18:12By the way, the Browns allow passing touchdowns at the third highest rate.
18:16Ted Rowan McMillan, we always knew about him, but Jalen Cokeheads Unite, he's coming to his own as well.
18:21They're getting production out of the running game and like Bryce Young, again, similar to trying to think who a good cop
18:28for Bryce Young is in this one aspect here, which is, you know, maybe it's somebody like, you know, Justin Herbert last
18:34year or you know, what basically, or even Tyler Shuck a little bit, like he gets you more points with his legs than you realize.
18:41Like you don't think of Bryce Young as a scrambler in the Jackson Dart, Josh Allen, you know, Lamar Jackson, Jaden Daniels
18:48mold, but he will get, you know, in the Mahomes, Justin Herbert kind of mold.
18:52He does get you more points with his legs than I think he actually gets credit for, you know, only six rushing yards last week.
18:59But again, like he'll, he'll sneak in a touchdown here or there.
19:02Like he'll last year, he was getting you 20 yards a game.
19:06Like, are we believing Bryce Young, the Brysler? Yeah.
19:08So this is a tough one because initially like after week one, I was like, no, we've seen this before, but there's
19:15a couple differences here that stand out. You mentioned about him.
19:18He hasn't run much yet, but he did have a rushing touchdown in week one.
19:22We saw it more last year. I think the interesting thing is the philosophy here has changed for Carolina with Brad Idzik coming in and calling plays.
19:30There's a lot of motion. There's a lot of play action.
19:33Also, to me, they were trying to hide Bryce Young the last couple of years.
19:38He had 36 pass attempts in each of the first two games.
19:41He only did that twice in the regular season last year.
19:44And then he has 264 passing yards in four straight games, including the last game of the regular season and their playoff game.
19:51You might say, oh, that's not a big deal.
19:53He only did that twice in the regular season.
19:56So to me, the fact that they're letting him go out there and pass more now, maybe they're also trying to figure
20:02out, is this a guy we could commit to long-term because they have not signed him?
20:07They picked up the fifth year option. So they're trying to figure out, is this the guy?
20:12Obviously, it looks great through the first two starts.
20:14It's the Bears and the Falcons defense. You do need to take that into account.
20:19But you mentioned Brown's coming up and then the Lions, right?
20:22Then there's a that should be a shootout. Yeah.
20:24And then there's a bye week. So, but here's the bottom line.
20:28Sometimes you have to take the chance and figure out if this is for real.
20:32Like last year, Matthew Stafford early in the year, no one thought he was going to do what he did.
20:38Two years ago, Baker Mayfield had that great year.
20:41No one thought that was going to happen. But if you were aggressive and pick them up early, you were rewarded.
20:47So I did see Bryce Young started to be picked up in some competitive leagues last week.
20:51But as you mentioned, he's still widely available in most leagues.
20:55I think you have to take the shot, especially if you have Jaden Daniels, Jackson Dart, Caleb Williams.
21:00This is the guy if Tyler Shuck's not out there.
21:03Yeah, because I think and that's such a great point, Adam, about like, hey, you know, sometimes you're just like, nah, not real.
21:09It's not real. It's not real. And then by the time you're like, OK, I guess it's real.
21:14He's already gone. Someone else's roster. He's already guarding the lead.
21:18Again, Bryce Young for, you know, again, early season, early in his career struggles, no question.
21:22And he got benched the whole thing. But you forget that like this is not somebody that came out of nowhere.
21:28This is not, you know, Tony Romo where you're less like, hey, like he's a plucky guy.
21:33This is not Taylor Heineke. You know, this is this is a guy that was a Heisman Trophy winner.
21:39This is a guy that was the number one overall pick in the NFL draft and the number one overall pick where people weren't like, wait, what?
21:46What are you doing? Like there was debate between him and CJ Stroud that year.
21:51But like no one was like, where did this come from?
21:54Almost every draft pundit had him as one of the top two quarterbacks in that class as well.
21:59So there is an elite skill set in there and it looks like the Carolina Panthers have finally figured out a way to unlock it.
22:06Let's go to some others receiving votes and just some other guys.
22:10If you're if those two guys are gone in your league here.
22:13So you see Shuck and Bryce Young. How about CJ Stroud who's playing the Colts, right?
22:18Indianapolis allowing 9.8 yards per pass attempt. That's the highest in the NFL.
22:21We just saw them get lit up by the they'll also be on a short week this week as well.
22:27Marcus Mariota. I mean, we talked about the Jane Daniels injury yesterday, Adam, but it's going to be Mariota for a while.
22:34I don't love this matchup this week. They're playing Seattle, right?
22:37But over the last two years, Mariota has ranked top 10 in fantasy points for drop back.
22:42So again, if you've lost if you've lost Jane Daniels or you've lost a quarterback for a long time, I like picking
22:48up Marcus Mariota for the longer period of time.
22:51Right. And then, you know, you can just use a spot start this week.
22:55Maybe somebody like Malik Willis, as you see there, who's playing against Kansas City.
22:59It doesn't really matter who he plays because it's all going to be at the rushing Michael Penix Jr.
23:04Never a great fantasy option, but, you know, is a starting quarterback, should play for the Falcons on Thursday night at Green Bay.
23:11The Packers defense ain't what it used to be.
23:13Jameis Winston again gets Jameis Winston gets the Titans this week.
23:16Should be a better matchup, a full full week of practicing with the ones for famous Jameis.
23:21And then finally, Tyson Bajant is on the list as well.
23:24Don't love this matchup against Philadelphia this week, Adam, but there is upside for Tyson Bajant in a Ben Johnson offense as long as he is the starter.
23:33So those are the guys in order that I would see.
23:36You see some of the names on your screen right there, but, you know, Shuck, Young, Stroud, Malik Willis, Mariota, Penix, and
23:42Tyson Bajant in order, assuming Shuck and Bryce Young are not available in your league.
23:46Then you go start with Shroud and go on down.
23:49Let's move to running back waivers, Adam. And I don't know where you were on the preseason, but one of the guys,
23:56listen, definitely some preseason stuff that I got wrong, right?
23:58You know, I don't know. We all do. We all get, look, we have to admit it.
24:03Like we get stuck. No one is 100%. Yeah.
24:06I have an uncomfortable amount of Colston Loveland because I was so high on him.
24:10An uncomfortable amount. Painful right now. But one of the, my biggest preseason running back sleeper was Jonah Coleman, where I just
24:17said, like, I think he's the most talented guy.
24:19I think there's a path to him being the starting running back in the second half of the year for the Broncos.
24:25We know J.K. Dobbins can't stay healthy. I don't think R.J.
24:29Harvey is what they want as a full-time running back.
24:32They went on and drafted Jonah Coleman. They've been raving about him throughout camp in the preseason.
24:36I'm telling you over the second half of the year, Jonah Coleman's going to be the starting running back of the Denver Broncos.
24:43So that was my preseason spiel on Jonah Coleman.
24:46And it might be now here in week three, not the second half of the season, right?
24:50Both J.K. Dobbins and R.J. Harvey dealing with hamstring injuries.
24:53Now both could play in week three. Neither of them seem that severe, but still they both left the game.
24:59R.J. Harvey was a scratch in week two. J.K.
25:02Dobbins left the game with a hamstring injury. And all Jonah Coleman does is go 10 for 39, has a touchdown, catches three balls for 19 yards.
25:09This is one of my pro Jonah Coleman arguments, Adam, is that he can be a three down back.
25:15He's a good pass catcher. He is somebody that can run between the tackles.
25:19Unlike Dobbins, who's fairly first and second down and Harvey, whose skill set is more suited to third down, Jonah Coleman can do it all.
25:26And in his first opportunity, he did it all.
25:29I was with you. So I'd say, you know, obviously I take as many backup running backs as possible, but I'd say
25:35the two that I had the most was Marshawn Lloyd before the Jacobs, uh, uh, commissioners exemplars and Jonah Coleman.
25:41Uh, actually, believe it or not, I had one league where I had so many injuries.
25:45I started Jonah Coleman this week. I got lucky.
25:48All right. I got lucky to be fair. I mean, well, R.J.
25:51Harvey was out with the hamstring injury, but it's a very deep league and I'm really hurting.
25:56So I put him in and was happy to see that, but I agree with you.
26:01I think you have to add them. Even if Dobbins and R.J.
26:04Harvey return this week, you want to have this guy on the roster.
26:08He gave you a glimpse of what he can do.
26:11And if people were listening to you, they would already have them and there would be no need to go out and spend money.
26:18Uh, and that's obviously the best part when you do that, but there's definitely an opportunity here because JK Dobbins, look, he's been efficient everywhere.
26:25He's gone. It's three different offenses that he always puts up more than five yards per carry.
26:30But you mentioned he's not involved in passing downs and health is the biggest issue for him.
26:35He said he's going to play every game this year.
26:38Well, you know, we all say things that we want to happen and they just don't.
26:42So yeah, he's probably going to miss more time.
26:45I'm going to get Sydney Sweeney to do an ad for Fantasy Life.
26:49That's a possibility. I wouldn't doubt that, Matthew. I can see that happening.
26:52I don't think we can, you know, we don't have nearly the amount of money as our current sponsors.
26:58But right. You can say whatever you want. Just doesn't mean it's actually going to happen.
27:03Um, but, uh, but yes, you know, look, I, this is something I tweeted out.
27:07We talked about on the Sunday show with Alex Cupps, fantasy football, happy hour, last call Sunday mornings, 12 to one on the Matthew Barry YouTube channel.
27:15We, we talked about this, go grab Jonah Coleman.
27:17Now, I don't know what his workload is going to be with Dobbins.
27:21He'll get some work, but like, you're going to want him and you're not going to want to beat the rush to the waiver wire.
27:28He's available in about 73% of league. So just so you know, very few, apparently 30% of the 70% of the people didn't listen to me.
27:36Math is hard. Uh, but yes, I think Jonah Coleman, I just, not just for this week, regardless of what happens with, but just for the future.
27:43I, yeah, it's possible that this week, what I said in the preseason, the second half of the year, the Denver Broncos
27:50running back you're going to want is Jonah Coleman.
27:52After Dobbins left the game, Adam, he played 83% of the snaps.
27:56He handled every running back touch, but one, he got all of the red zone touches.
28:00Yeah. Give me, give me Jonah Coleman. I'm all in.
28:03And I think he is, I think he is one of those players that has enough upside that if you're in a
28:10league where like, you have to, you get the number one waiver priority and you just, you have to hold onto it.
28:16You can, you can keep it if you don't like, I think he's worth the number one waiver priority.
28:21I do too. Cause it, again, this week, if Dobbins is back and Harvey's back, we might not see much Coleman, but this is more long-term.
28:29That's what you were saying before the year two.
28:31We didn't know when it would happen. It happened quickly in week two, where we saw a glimpse of them.
28:37Sean Payton is very high on them too. If you remember in the preseason, they put him out there in a game and they pulled them quickly.
28:45Payton's like, yeah, I've seen enough. So Dobbins again, we can't count on him to stay healthy.
28:50So there will definitely be an opportunity for Jonah Coleman again, even if it's not in week three.
28:55I don't understand why Tank Bigsby is not rostered in a hundred percent of leagues.
28:59This is something we said like Tank Bigsby needs to be rostered in a hundred percent of leagues because Saquon Barkley is
29:06rostered in a hundred percent of leagues. And if Saquon Barkley were to ever miss time, Tank Bigsby would immediately be like
29:12a, an RB1, like a top 12 running back, running behind that Eagles offensive line.
29:16And that may happen this week. Saquon Barkley leaves the game with a stinger, comes back, plays a little bit, but leaves again.
29:23He's going to get it checked out. We don't know his status yet for this week, but it's just another reminder that
29:29again, Tank Bigsby needs to be rostered in a hundred percent of leagues.
29:33Like he out touched Will Shipley 15 to nine when he came into the game, he led the backfield backfield and early
29:39down snaps again, playing the bears this week, by the way, Chicago allows the seventh highest yards per carry to opposing running backs so far the season.
29:47Jones and Chuba Hubbard both ran well against the bears so far.
29:50So, you know, in 18 career games, in 18 career games with the Philadelphia Eagles, Tank Bigsby averaging 5.3 yards per carry.
29:57He's a good player. And the reason Shipley got as much work as he did because weirdly the Eagles are trailing the Titans.
30:03I don't think that'll be the case against Tyson Bagent this weekend.
30:07So yeah, give me some Tank Bigsby. I think he's somebody that again, uh, will be a top, a top 10, 12
30:13running back, you know, something like that in, in weeks, which Barkley misses.
30:17Yeah. There's no question about that. Uh, hopefully we don't have the dreaded game time decision and we have to wait because that game is Monday night.
30:25It doesn't feel like every Monday night game we have this.
30:28And then Sunday night, Sunday night is Rams Broncos.
30:30If we have a JK Dobbins or RJ Harvey game time decision.
30:34So, uh, buckle up for another rough week, but yeah, just go get Tank Bigsby, uh, for sure.
30:39Because we see the running backs in this offense, what they could do.
30:43Barkley had the stinger. He did come back, play briefly to begin the second half, but then didn't return.
30:48We did see a lot more Shipley than I expected, but you know, he might be more of someone that they like
30:55in the two minute drill in the passing situations.
30:57But as you mentioned, they're favored on the road in Chicago and they should play from ahead.
31:02And that would bow well for Bigsby if Barkley is out.
31:05But again, we can only make the decision right now with the information we have, and we're not going to know about some of these running backs.
31:13So you just got to be proactive and get a guy like Tank Bigsby in case Barkley does miss some time.
31:19Speaking of another guy that's going to miss some time, and that's Jadarian Price.
31:23He's dealing with that soldier injury. Now, the positive news is that the x-rays came back negative, but when price went down, it was all Emmanuel Wilson, right?
31:3179% of the snaps Wilson played after price left the game.
31:34He out touched George Helani 14 to four and honestly looked pretty good.
31:38Then you think about this game on the road at my terrible Washington Commanders, uh, that also be dealing with a backup running back.
31:45I think Emmanuel Wilson is really interesting this week, assuming Jadarian Price can't go.
31:49Yeah. If you remember last year, he filled in well, um, for, for Green Bay and had some good games.
31:55I remember picking him up. Uh, he had a game with 28 carries for 107 yards, two catches for 18 yards, uh,
32:01another game, 14 carries for 82 yards. And you mentioned the workload that he got this past week.
32:06So we know Seattle, they can have a successful ground game.
32:09Um, we know when they pass, it's only JSN, uh, but that opens up the running game.
32:14They should be in control of this game. There's a good chance he scores a touchdown or two.
32:19So you mentioned as at the top that we're just not seeing a lot of the running backs get injured, which I
32:26guess is a good thing if you went running back heavy, but, uh, there are probably some people who went maybe one
32:32running back early and then light on RB twos and they're searching for someone.
32:36And what you have to do in that situation is plug and play.
32:40And this could be a scenario here. If Emmanuel Wilson is going to get the start with Jadarian price out, that's a
32:46guy that can help you get by, uh, for a week or two, um, depending on how much time price misses.
32:52Yeah. And I wonder if honestly, Wilson, you know, with his performance with, with Wilson's performance, which was, you know, impressive 21
32:59for 92, um, uh, you know, in that win, like, I wonder if that earned him more playing time.
33:04It doesn't seem like through two games of the season that Seattle wants to give a full-time role to Jadarian price.
33:10It feels like, you know, whether it's Helani or Wilson, this, you keep seeing these other guys out there.
33:16Like we're all of us watching these games going like, he looks really good.
33:20Why, why aren't you just feeding the rock to this kid?
33:23But for whatever reason, they don't want to do it.
33:26Whether it was injury concerns, whether it's past pro concerns, whether it's deference to the veterans, I don't know.
33:31But, um, I think there's a scenario where price is active, but Wilson still has, you know, a meaningful, you know, flex
33:37ish role, um, in a great matchup with Washington.
33:40Some other running back waiver ads that I want to point out here.
33:44If any of these guys, if all those other guys are gone, you see it there on your screen.
33:49How about Alvin Kamara? Kamara 14 touches, 18% target share in his first game back horrible.
33:54You know, the whole Saints situation has been terrible for everyone that drafted, uh, Travis, a Chan, H E Chan, E to Chan.
34:00I don't know. We're trying to figure out how to pronounce the last name, but, um, you know, Travis E in new Orleans.
34:07Um, but Kamara just didn't play a lot, but when he was out there, they were throwing it to him.
34:13And that's the team, as we know, likes to pay at a high pace of play, and it's going to be throwing a lot.
34:20We already mentioned, um, obviously Coleman, Bigsby and Wilson, but you know, you see Tajay Spears there that, you know, through two
34:26weeks, he's playing 44% of the snaps. He's got a 13% target share.
34:30Tennessee should be trailing quite a bit. Braylon Allen got into the end zone this past weekend as well as, you know,
34:36and, and Brees Hall is, uh, uh, you know, somebody that has some injury concerns, but how about Caleb Johnson?
34:42Caleb Johnson led the Green Bay Packers in rush attempts in week two.
34:46Marshawn Lloyd played the same percentage of snaps as Marshawn Lloyd, looked pretty good.
34:50We've all sort of forgotten about Caleb Johnson after he washed out in Pittsburgh, but you know, Green Bay quietly with the
34:56Jacobs suspension, uh, or the commensures, the Jacobs being placed on the commissioner's exempt list.
35:00They made a, you know, small trade for Caleb Johnson.
35:03And I think Marshawn Lloyd is still the guy you want in Green Bay.
35:07He scored the receiving touchdown, but I thought Caleb Johnson looked good enough in this one, Adam, that he's worthy of grabbing
35:13because I think he earned himself more playing time for the Packers.
35:17Yeah, he did fumble. He didn't lose it. Lloyd did lose the fumble and got penalized for it, but they had their
35:23offensive line is getting no push and that's why you're seeing none of these running backs really, you know, excel at this point.
35:30But yeah, I did pick up Caleb Johnson after week one.
35:33I actually thought about dropping him last week. I said, let me hold another week.
35:37So I'll just hold him another week, but it's just, I don't think you're going to get anything out of that Green
35:44Bay running back position with that offensive line and that rotation.
35:47Fair enough, which is why he's at the end of the list, but he, he is somebody who's, um, getting more opportunities by the week in Green Bay.
35:55So if you're in a deep league and desperate, Caleb Johnson is a running back.
35:59Let's move on to wanting back wide receiver waivers here.
36:02And I think in the preseason, I thought Casey Concepcion would be the Cleveland Browns wide receiver one that you wanted.
36:08Right. And I was high on Casey Concepcion and I haven't bailed on him yet, but Denzel Boston five for 95 and
36:14a touchdown had the one big play from Deshaun Watson through two weeks, 95% route participation.
36:19He's wide receiver 15 and utilization score, which of course a proprietary metric Dwayne McFarlane came up with it lets you know
36:25how much they're being used in, in situations that lead to fantasy points.
36:29No one has a higher target share so far this season than Denzel Boston, who by the way has a hundred percent
36:35of the Browns end zone targets this year. Yeah, look, he's looked really good.
36:39There's no question about it. I know people might have trepidation cause it's like, Oh, it's the Browns offense.
36:45And it's Deshaun Watson who did play his best game in years.
36:48Unfortunately, if you had Tampa Bay and survivor like me, it hurt, but, uh, yeah, I'm still recovering.
36:54Um, I wasn't sure if I was going to make it today.
36:57Cause I've been depressed. Yesterday was a rough day, but we move on.
37:01We've been through this for years, but that one hurt.
37:04Uh, but Boston's looked really good to touchdowns, uh, 11 targets so far.
37:07We expect them to play from behind. He's got that big play ability.
37:11And for a rookie to come out like this and run this many routes and basically be on the field all the time is a really good sign.
37:19Uh, so yeah, I definitely think, uh, he should be added.
37:22And I think it's time to start considering getting them in your lineup.
37:26I was with you. I thought Concepcion would be the top guy here and there's still time for him.
37:32You know, he's starting to surpass Jerry Judy and he could still play a big role.
37:36And that's the thing that's intriguing here. Like if they can get solid quarterback play, Boston, Concepcion, Fannin, you know, Fannin's obviously
37:42been hurt by these two receivers in which I thought might happen.
37:46You just can't count on all of these guys to come through, but so far, Boston's been the guy in Cleveland.
37:52Which is good. Cause it does seem like he has somewhat of a connection for Deshaun Watson.
37:57Deshaun Watson buys himself some more starting time with the win over Tampa Bay.
38:01Imagine your Tampa Bay fan that had to sit through six hours of rain delays and lightning only to see your team
38:07lose at home to the Browns, to the shucking Browns.
38:10And, um, so just absolutely, uh, brutal, brutal there as well.
38:13By the way, they, so the Buccaneers fans drank fray yesterday.
38:16Matthew Stafford drinks for free today. Nice big comeback for, uh, Matthew Stafford.
38:20Um, Hey, let's moving on though, just cause we're running out of time here.
38:24I want to make sure we get to all these names here.
38:28Uh, while I got the Browns wide receiver you wanted wrong in the preseason between the, you know, Concepcion and Boston, one
38:34thing I did get right in the preseason is I kept talking about is everyone else was, you know, Oh, Makai Lemon, Makai Lemon.
38:41I'm like, guys, I kind of liked Dontavian Wicks.
38:43You know, like coming over from green Bay with Sean Mannion, the guy who's going to be calling their plays.
38:49I always felt like Dontavian Wicks is a good wide receiver who just needed more time.
38:54He could never get consistent run while he's getting consistent run in Philadelphia.
38:58And now 12 or more fantasy points in both games of season.
39:01He's averaging over 73 receiving yards a game, 15.7 average depth of target, right?
39:0560% of his targets are coming on deep passes.
39:08Like he's taking over that role there. They're throwing it deep to him.
39:11And then you look at this upcoming schedule at Chicago home to the Rams at Jacksonville home to Carolina.
39:17So they're playing like four good offenses in row that where they're going to have to keep up, I believe.
39:23And you know, certainly the Chicago secondary doesn't scare you.
39:25I'm in on Dontavian Wicks is like a, you know, wide receiver three with upside.
39:30Yeah, look, they talked him up in camp. He had a really good training camp.
39:34We know they drafted Makai Lemon who we really haven't seen play that role just yet.
39:39Part of it is because Wicks has been so good target share 17%.
39:42I would like that to go up. But as you mentioned, it's the deep plays.
39:47Like if you're going to take those shots and hit on one or two a game, it's really going to help.
39:53He had a 64 yard reception in week one, a 27 yard reception this past week.
39:57His routes did go down a little bit in this game, specifically in the fourth quarter.
40:02He was down a 65% route percentage. So I just would keep an eye on that.
40:07But the production has been there in an offense that's, you know, still evolving here under Sean Mannion.
40:12Right. Dallas Goddard also banged up as well. So maybe Makai Lemon takes up those.
40:16I'm, uh, as millennial Falcon says awfully high in the Eagles past catches this season.
40:20You're the anti homer. I know. Cause I am a diehard commanders fan, but I'm also realist.
40:25I understand, uh, what the, what the truth is and as you know, listen, I don't root for the Eagles, but I
40:32do acknowledge they are the superior team, uh, for both fantasy and real life.
40:36Uh, you know, another guy that we talked a lot about in the preseason on this show, Adam is Adonai Mitchell.
40:42We had Scott Turner of the, you know, formerly of the Jets coaching staff on this.
40:46We talked up Mitchell just saying like, this guy's a legit NFL wide receiver.
40:50We kept hearing great training camp reports about him.
40:53Just a new change of scenery for Adonai Mitchell, but in through two weeks, not Garrett Wilson, Adonai Mitchell has the highest
40:59target share on your New York jets. 25% through two weeks.
41:02He's gotten at least 60 receiving yards in both games.
41:05Now he gets the lions where no team in the NFL is a lot more receiving yards to opposing wide receivers than the Detroit lions.
41:12How about some AD Mitchell as a flyer this week?
41:15Absolutely. And I'm sure people will be looking at him and DFS and maybe props as well.
41:2012 targets this past week, six for 63, and it could have been an even bigger day.
41:25He drew a defensive pass interference. Another big play was just broken up.
41:29We know he can get open. We've seen it.
41:31And for those that have been fans of Mitchell for years, it's kind of been frustrating, but now he's in a good spot here.
41:38Believe it or not, I can't believe if I'm saying that with the jets, uh, Gino Smith's at least competent.
41:44Uh, I know this, this past week, you know, was a game that they shouldn't have blown, but the matchup against Detroit, we've just seen it.
41:52Like everyone is just going to throw the ball all over them.
41:55They're just atrocious in the secondary suffered another injury.
41:58So yeah, AD Mitchell definitely is a good play, especially for this week.
42:01Um, again, so we're sort of talking about bad teams, not that the Eagles are bad teams, but all right.
42:07So Mitchell on the one and one jets, by the way, but I'm with you.
42:11Gino has been competent and that's all we care about.
42:14Gino's been competent and they're trying to get the ball to Mitchell.
42:18Well, you know what? Kirk Cousins has been competent.
42:20The two and O Raiders. Thank you very much.
42:23Kirk Cousins has been competent and Trey Tucker is somebody that they're getting the ball to, right?
42:2824% target share in week two for the season.
42:30No one has run a more, a higher route rate than Trey Tucker.
42:3481% route rate for the, for the Las Vegas Raiders is Trey Tucker.
42:38And I know Cody white got all the, uh, all the attention and we should mention him.
42:43He got the two touchdowns. So anytime he scored two touchdowns, he searched to pay attention, but Trey Tucker, we have a
42:49longer track record of success with, we feel better about him in this number one role for a, what appears to be
42:55a competent, uh, Raiders offense by the way. And they're playing the saints this week.
43:00We know the saints play at a high pace of play and we know this is, this game might be a sneaky shootout, Las Vegas in New Orleans.
43:08Yeah. My only concern is we have seen this from Tucker before.
43:11He'll have these big games. People go pick him up on the waiver wire and then he does nothing.
43:17If you remember last year, sorry to bring this up, Matthew, but against, uh, Washington.
43:21Yeah. He catches 145 yards and three touchdowns the next week.
43:24I remember catches for 13 yards, then four for 62.
43:27And then also Brock Bowers could be back and we know he's gonna have the bulk of the targets in this offense.
43:33So that would be my one concern deeper league.
43:36Sure. You want to take a chance. And as you alluded to, maybe it's different with Kirk cousins, right?
43:41Maybe this offense is evolving. The defense has been surprisingly good too, but I would be a little bit more cautious on Tucker helping you longterm.
43:49He is, he is fourth on the list for a reason there.
43:52None of these guys are, um, without risk, but I think your caution is well stated there, Adam, for sure.
43:58But again, it was an encouraging sign for Tucker and this Raiders offense over the last couple of weeks.
44:04It just feels under Clint Kubiak, a little bit more stable as an offensive environment.
44:08Let's go to the full screen now and just give you some other names here after, uh, after Trey Tucker, you see it right there.
44:15How about Rashad Bateman who had 31% target share in week two, no Zay Flowers, but we'll see if Zay Flowers is back.
44:22Of course, Jacoby Lane still on, he'll be on IR.
44:25So even if Zay Flowers comes back, looks like Bateman will be the number two.
44:29How about Malik Washington who on the season has a 26% target share, Caleb Douglas dealing with that ankle injury.
44:35The Miami passing game is gross, but they are keeping it close to the line of scrimmage, which is where Malik Washington
44:41has been running a lot of his routes so far this season.
44:44Kayshawn Booty, let Colts allow almost 18 yards per reception so far this season to wide receivers through two weeks, right?
44:50You can take deep shots on the Colts. And so Kayshawn Booty is somebody that they might take a shot or two.
44:57You know, Alex Pierce is going to miss that time with that heel injury.
45:01So maybe, uh, increased playing time for Keenan Allen.
45:03At some point, it's hard to ignore Kalief Raymond who leads the Bears and targets receptions and receiving yards.
45:09We'll see what it looks like under Tyson Bajan, but Kalief Raymond is out there running routes for the Chicago Bears and
45:15his former coach in Detroit, Ben Johnson. And then finally, you know what?
45:19Keenan Coleman had a 21% target share in week two.
45:22DJ Moore day to day with that shoulder injury in a world where DJ Moore misses again.
45:27Perhaps you could get some week three production out of Keenan Coleman against the Chargers.
45:31Let's move now, Adam, to tight end waivers. And there's not a lot of stuff here, but I just wanted to sort of point this out.
45:39Dallas Goddard, as I mentioned, is going to miss time.
45:41So the team signed Zach Ertz, who was productive last year for Washington and obviously is familiar with the Eagles.
45:47And so signed to the practice squad. Wouldn't, if this Goddard injury is serious and it looks like it might be like
45:53he might miss, you know, maybe a month or two, I don't know.
45:57Um, we're, we're waiting to get more information, but, uh, this sign just sort of tells you something.
46:02Ertz could be interesting because I don't think there's any other tight end on the Eagles that scares you that you think
46:09you could see Ertz having some tight end to production in the, in a Philadelphia offense.
46:13Arande Gadson, uh, is available in 94% of leagues.
46:16And I want to, uh, I'll talk about Arande Gadson here to mention the fact that David Njoku and Charlie Kohler both placed on IR on Monday.
46:24Again, I don't know that you're excited about anything of this charges offense.
46:27It's looked brutal through two weeks, but the fact that they need some sort of spark with the Chargers, uh, David Njoku, Charlie Kohler both placed on IR.
46:35So this charges offense, which clearly needs a spark and we saw moments from Arande Gadson last a year, maybe he starts
46:42to get more run, especially given that the other two tight ends are banged up as well.
46:47It's worth noting that for the season, Chargers are actually top eight in the NFL and tight end target share.
46:52And since entering the NFL, the minimum of 50 targets, Arande Gadson third among tight ends in yards per target.
46:58So if he can get more run, I think there is something interesting there.
47:02They play this, the, the bills this weekend, they're going to need to keep up with Buffalo as well.
47:08He's available in 94% of leagues moving on. I'll go to, uh, Darren Waller.
47:12Look, you guys know Darren Waller, one of my favorite players in the NFL.
47:16He's not somebody that is going to play a full compliment of snaps.
47:19Um, you know, over the last two seasons, he's got 11 games that he's played, but he scored eight touchdowns.
47:25Like they use him, Adam, they use Darren Waller, uh, in very small samples, but like when they're using him, they're using
47:32him in high leverage situations off of the red zone.
47:34So he's, he's a touchdown or bust tight end, but Adam, aren't most of them once you get outside the top 10
47:41and who's got a better chance at a touchdown these days than Darren Waller, it seems like who scored two on, on
47:47Sunday for a better than we all thought they were going to be Panthers offense.
47:51Yeah, that's exactly what I was going to say, because once you're outside the top 10, you're looking for a touchdown.
47:57You're not going to find most weeks, a guy that's getting five, six receptions.
48:01So you're like, I want the touchdown. Waller only has five targets through the first two games.
48:06He also had a touchdown call back in week one and then had two this week.
48:11So if this Panthers offense, especially if this Bryce Young moving forward, taking that step forward, if that continues, Waller's that red zone threat.
48:18And like you said, they're going to utilize him in those situations.
48:21So yeah, there's going to be weeks where he doesn't do much for you, but if he's going to continue to get
48:28red zone looks, that's definitely going to be a positive.
48:31And if you're really hurting at tight end, you might have to go there.
48:35Let's go to some of the other top tight end waiver wire ads.
48:38If we can just go to the full screen here real quickly.
48:42How about Pat Friermuth? You know, as we mentioned, so this is the order that we have him in a Ronda Gadsen,
48:48Terrence Ferguson, Darren Waller, Zach Ertz is fourth. So that would be the order that I would, I would try to pick them up for this week.
48:56Gadsen, Ferguson, Waller, Ertz. But then how about Pat Friermuth who through two weeks is top 10 and tight end utilization score
49:02feels like he's kind of emerged in that Steelers offense, such as it is.
49:06TJ Hawkinson has at least a 20% target share in both games this season.
49:10And I don't think that changes once Kyler Murray comes back.
49:13I love grabbing and stashing Kenyon Sadiq. I don't think you can use him just yet, but I do think Kenyon Sadiq just, he's such a physical threat.
49:21You know, they're trying to find creative ways to get him the ball.
49:25You know, they gave him the rushing touchdown in week number one.
49:29I think Kenyon Sadiq is going to be a thing sooner rather than later.
49:33I don't know that you're using him this week.
49:35I think you want to see more consistent role, but of course, Frank Reich calling the plays for the, uh, through the jets, loves him, some tight ends.
49:43Kenyon Sadiq, first round pick. Give me some Kenyon Sadiq.
49:46And then finally, Kate Otten, you know, um, for a minute, he's playing in Minnesota, but on the Buccaneers, he's third among
49:52tight ends in route participation this season. So he's out there running some routes.
49:57So, uh, not super productive, but if you need a tight end that has a pulse, there you go with Kate Otten.
50:03Let's look at some, uh, any one of the, is there anyone on that tight end list that jumps out to you, Adam?
50:09Yeah. I mean, obviously I didn't, we can, I didn't talk in depth about Gattson.
50:14I know he's your number one, but he's widely available.
50:17It's his pro, you know, he was going as a top eight tight end in may or June.
50:22Then Njoku, Kolar come in and everyone's like, nope, don't want him.
50:25And I was the same way. But now, like you said, they need a spark badly.
50:30And we saw last year, there was a period four straight games.
50:33He had at least 11.8 PPR points, and he had at least 68 yards receiving in each game.
50:39And they need to do something to turn this around.
50:41Cause this is, this has gotta be the most disappointing offense so far.
50:45People were invested heavily in fantasy. So I think Gattson has a real opportunity.
50:49That's what it was about. The reason why he wasn't being drafted over the last month, three tight ends in that rotation.
50:55And then Ladd McConkie. So there was no path for him.
50:59Now the path has opened up in a big way.
51:02So if you need tight end help, it's gotta be Gattson.
51:05I do think Friermuth is interesting too, especially if Michael Pittman remains out.
51:08Yeah. Yeah, I think so. I mean, like again, Mike McCarthy likes to throw to the middle of the field.
51:14Rogers has had tremendous success over the years at various stops with tight ends as well.
51:19And so Friermuth is somebody we've seen perform at a high level in the NFL before.
51:23I think he, you know, again, there's a, there's a ceiling on Friermuth.
51:27He's not going to suddenly become, you know, peak Travis Kelsey or something like that.
51:31But for a mid tier tight end, you could do worse and probably have for Pat Friermuth.
51:36Real quickly, some top defensive waiver ads for those of you who are streaming defenses as well.
51:41I'll just say these are all available in over 50% of leagues.
51:45You see it right there on your screen. You've got the Chiefs at Miami, Panthers playing against the Browns.
51:50You always like a defense that gets the Browns.
51:53Giants are against Tennessee. Cam Ward looked better in week two, but still not great.
51:57And the Lions do have a good, a good front.
52:00How about the Lions against the Jets? And then finally, the Packers against Michael Penix.
52:04Of course, that's a short week for the Falcons and they've looked absolutely brutal.
52:08Adam Ronas, we will follow you on Twitter at X, at Adam Ronas.
