Alec Pierce

PositiveInjury4:03

Alec Pierce is expected to be ready for Week 1. Despite concerns regarding his ankle injury and history of missed practice, he is back on the field. He is viewed as the team's number one receiver in the absence of Michael Pittman and Adonai Mitchell, making him a viable sleeper target if he falls to the eighth or ninth round.

Insight page

Brian Thomas Jr.

NegativeProjection46:44

The source remains conflicted on Brian Thomas Jr., viewing him as the team's 'alpha' receiver but acknowledging that the Jaguars' offensive scheme under Liam Cohen may funnel volume to slot receiver Parker Washington instead.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

NegativeInjury28:46

The source expresses skepticism regarding Christian McCaffrey's health, predicting he will get hurt and describing the 49ers' offensive situation as a 'shriveling show' that they are avoiding in drafts.

Insight page

D.J. Moore

PositiveBreakout22:12

DJ Moore is a strong value pick who could break out as a WR1 with Josh Allen. Despite his ADP rising into the third or fourth round, he is viewed as a talented veteran finally paired with a top-tier quarterback. The source notes that Moore is highly motivated for the upcoming season.

Insight page

Denzel Boston

PositiveSleeper29:11

The source identifies Boston as a stronger, more physical receiver than Casey Concepcion and projects him to be the primary touchdown threat in the Browns' offense, making him a preferred value pick due to his later ADP.

Insight page

Emeka Egbuka

NegativeValue44:07

The source likes Egbuka's talent but has limited exposure due to a preference for drafting running backs in the 3rd round and concerns regarding a lingering toe injury that could cause him to miss early-season games.

Insight page

Emmett Johnson

PositiveSleeper42:15

The source highlights Emmett Johnson as a talented, strong runner with great vision who could potentially steal goal-line work from Kenneth Walker. He is considered a high-priority stash given Walker's injury history.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

PositiveValue0:52

Jadarian Price is considered an absolute steal at his fifth-round ADP. The source notes that he is highly talented and, unlike Jeremiah Love, plays on a team where he will receive significant fourth-quarter work rather than being game-scripted out. The source has become increasingly bullish on Price after receiving positive reports from accurate draft analysts.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

NegativeProjection11:47

Opinions on Jeremiah Love are split. The source is excited about his potential as a primary back in a simplified backfield, but the source's guest warns against drafting him because the Cardinals are expected to be one of the worst teams in the NFL, leading to negative game scripts that limit running back production.

Insight page

Jonah Coleman

PositiveBreakout40:11

The source praises Coleman's vision and talent, noting that the Broncos' coaching staff limited his preseason usage because they already know he is 'too good.' He is viewed as the primary beneficiary if J.K. Dobbins suffers an injury.

Insight page

Keenan Allen

NegativeRole5:31

Keenan Allen is expected to miss time following a DUI arrest. While the coach has indicated he will start Week 1, the source expresses significant frustration with his off-field conduct and the potential impact on his availability.

Insight page
NegativeUsage34:08

The source expresses frustration with Keenan Allen, labeling him a 'useless' veteran who hoards volume and targets without providing high-end fantasy production, thereby capping the upside of younger receivers like Ladd McConkie.

Insight page

Luther Burden

PositiveBreakout50:21

The source identifies Burden as a high-upside slot receiver in an offense that historically funnels targets to that position. While injury concerns and draft strategy have limited the source's exposure, Burden is viewed as a potential breakout candidate.

Insight page

Malachi Fields

PositiveBreakout8:31

Malachi Fields is a high-upside stash who could start as the Giants' number two receiver. The team traded up for him in the third round due to his size and contested-catch ability. He was notably absent from the final preseason game alongside starters, suggesting the team is protecting him for a significant role. He could ascend to the WR1 role if Malik Nabers misses time.

Insight page

MarShawn Lloyd

NegativeInjury17:08

Marshawn Lloyd is viewed as an injury risk ('Mr. Glass') who has never handled a high volume of touches in college or the NFL. While he is expected to serve as the starter, the source refuses to draft him due to his inability to stay healthy.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

NegativeProjection18:56

Marvin Harrison Jr. is a 'make or break' player for the current season. While he possesses elite talent and high upside, he has struggled with separation and consistency, leading to a low floor. He is currently being drafted in the fifth or sixth round.

Insight page

Parker Washington

PositiveUsage47:33

The source believes Parker Washington is poised for a breakout season as the primary slot receiver in an offense that funnels targets to the middle of the field, noting the coach's high praise for him.

Insight page

Zach Charbonnet

NegativeInjury10:13

Zach Charbonnet is confirmed to miss at least four weeks. The source believes he will be a non-factor for the entire season, which serves as a positive development for Jadarian Price's fantasy outlook.

0:00We are back and I'm telling you man, we got some big name fantasy football players that you need to get on your roster.
0:06These are must drafts. The only caveat for us is we didn't get enough stock with them.
0:10So Walter, I'm excited to have you on. We kind of missed out on a couple of these players in our drafts.
0:16We should have had more stock in them. I'm ready to dive in.
0:19You got your five players. I got my five.
0:21Welcome to the show. The wild and wonderful Walter Football.
0:24Welcome, man. Thanks for having me on, Joe. Yeah, I mean like we love a certain number of players.
0:28We talked about them on the show, but these are players that like we like a lot too, but you know, you can't have everyone.
0:35It's impossible to draft everyone. You know, you're going to get sniped and everything and these are players that we wish we
0:40had and so I can't wait to get into these 10 names.
0:43Yeah, I'm excited to dive in. We just want to hoard every player that we like and sometimes you miss out regardless
0:49because there's certain players you just like more than the other ones.
0:52Like I missed out on a bunch of players because like for example, Jadarian Price.
0:55I love him, but I missed out on maybe a Judkins or something like that around five because I really want Jadarian Price.
1:01That's one example. So we're ready to dive in.
1:03Make sure you guys join the all access war room guys.
1:06Direct access to me. I'm doing a Q&A right there.
1:09If you're desperate for something you want answered, it's in the Patreon group.
1:12I've linked that below and make sure you guys do draft with the 16 Round Drafts.
1:16I've linked it below sleepers, breakouts, optimal players, draft each round, everything below guys grab 16 rounds.
1:20I've linked it and pin the comment and head over to Walter football's YouTube channel.
1:24He's putting out amazing content every day and he's also got amazing free content.
1:27Now that the games are starting, I mean, you got some information there for people, right?
1:31Yeah. On the site, Walter football.com. We have picks against the spread.
1:34We have fantasy rankings, sleepers, bus cheat sheets, et cetera.
1:37We have 2027 and 2028 NFL mock drafts. So if you want to see what's going to happen, in the NFL draft
1:42in a year and a half from now, then you get to, you get to see that.
1:46But yeah, on the YouTube channel, we do a mock draft live each night and it's after your show ends.
1:51So you can, you can watch your show and then you can pop into our channel and watch our, and participate in our live mock draft.
1:58Yeah. We're going at nine o'clock tonight. I'm back to, I took a couple of days off.
2:02They're just trying to catch up from that draft weekend.
2:05It was wild. Just doing some private coaching. You guys can also book that as well.
2:09But yeah, man, I'm excited. Football's here again. Make sure you guys do grab 16 rounds as well.
2:13Do not draft without it. Uh, okay. Hit the thumbs up guys and subscribe as well.
2:17Turn on the bell. I'm going to be breaking news here as well.
2:20And doing a lot of reaction videos when people get arrested or someone breaks a leg or something like that.
2:25Um, a couple of things in the news I was just reading here and I've been following underdog.
2:30We've teamed up with underdog and I was on their X page and I was hearing that Alec Pierce, apparently.
2:35And by the way, underdogs got, they break news pretty fast.
2:37Uh, so make sure you guys follow them on X.
2:40They're great. Uh, and create an account below using code line.
2:43We've been drafting every night. Um, but yeah, man, I heard Alec Pierce should be ready for week one, dude.
2:48Like Alec Pierce, like they want to push them because they paid them a lot.
2:51What do you think of Alec Pierce? I think he's a good sleeper if he gets going.
2:56Yeah. You're getting him a discount because people are so used to seeing that Q tag next to his name and he's injured.
3:01He's mispracticed so much that the worry is that the ankle injury could aggravate, you know, like when you have an ankle
3:07injury that could really ruin your season. So I don't think he's in the clear yet, like, but he is back at practice.
3:13So, you know, you can, he's not, he's not undraftable anymore.
3:15Like you can say, okay, if he falls to this, the certain round, maybe around eight, round nine, something like that, then you can get them.
3:22I mean, he's the number one receiver on that team.
3:24There's no Michael Pittman. There's no Adonai Mitchell. They're all gone.
3:27Josh Downs is just a slot receiver. Keenan Allen, he got arrested for the DUI.
3:31So he's going to miss some time. So it's going to be Pierce and Warren as the two main weapons.
3:36If Pierce is healthy. Yeah. I mean, I just heard about Keenan Allen.
3:39Apparently the coach is saying that they, he's going to be starting week one.
3:42I mean, what a low, I am. People got so offended.
3:45I called him a low life. Do you think that getting into a car, being a millionaire and driving under the influence is a good idea?
3:52Like risking other people. Apparently he risks somebody's life or something.
3:54I don't know. I don't want to butcher it, but it basically risks somebody.
3:58There was, there was something going on there where he could have risked somebody's life from what I heard.
4:03Allegedly. It's, it's all, it's awful. Like, you know, you're not risked, not only risking your own life, you're risking someone else's life.
4:08Like I had one of my better friends growing up.
4:11She, you know, she was going to a prom.
4:13She got hit by a drunk driver and she went to a coma and she was never the same again.
4:18Like, it's like, it's like, it's horrible. It's very selfish.
4:21And it's, it's so dumb. Like it was always stupid.
4:23And now you have Uber or you can't call an Uber.
4:26This guy came out and his four kids. Like how irresponsible can you be to go out drinking at night?
4:31Uh, maybe he's celebrating that one catch he had in the preseason so much.
4:34I don't understand it. A couple other things in the news here, by the way, breaking Brad is losing in the back.
4:40He's actually in the, in the quiet room here.
4:42Like we've got like a screened room and they're like, it's kind of a padded room for him.
4:46It's really quiet. It's soundproof. And he's going like this, like, ah, like why, why didn't you guys like cue me in?
4:52So let's do that. Let's get them on here.
4:54Breaking Brad. He's angry. He's angry. And I understand it's kind of his only role in life.
4:58So let's do that. We now have breaking news.
5:01Pretty, pretty safe for being angry. It is with great urgency that we bring you these following messages.
5:05We now have breaking news. See, he really wanted to get that in.
5:08He said it twice with great urgency. A couple of things also here, Malachi Fields, uh, again, this is a guy that
5:14I was stashing back in April, dude, April. So according to, um, you know, the team I'm here, Malachi Fields could start
5:19this season as a team's number two receiver, the team traded up to get him in the third round.
5:24We know that because they were, they were, uh, infatuated or something like with his size, physical playability to make contested catches.
5:30And he's shown all that in camp and he showed it in preseason with dart.
5:33So I'm excited about some Malachi field, dude. I like this kid.
5:36I like them. I miss the days where I was able to draft him around 19 and best ball every single time.
5:42Uh, so it, yeah, he's, he's a great, uh, he's still, he's still going way too late.
5:46He's the number two receiver on the giants and he could be when receiver one and Malik neighbors gets hurt.
5:51He's come out the 20 ACL. So I don't think neighbors can play the full season.
5:55So we could see, uh, fields, uh, be the number one.
5:58And it was really telling in the final preseason game.
6:00You saw there, you saw Darius Slayton out there.
6:02You saw Odell Beckham out there. Guess who you didn't see?
6:05It was Malachi fields. They're arresting him because they know how important he is to this team this year.
6:10He's awesome, man. Uh, one more, one more, couple more things here.
6:13Shabronade to miss at least four games. And again, you weren't as high as Jadarian Prices.
6:17I am. I love Jadarian Price. I think he is an absolute steal at that ADP, like sign me up fifth round.
6:22I got them everywhere. And, uh, now again, we, we got confirmation.
6:25Finally, the Shabronade to miss at least four weeks.
6:28I think he's going to be, he's going to be garbage all season.
6:31I like, I know he could be annoying come playoff time, but this is exciting news, man, for Jadarian Price owners, right?
6:36No Shabronade. Yeah. A couple of months ago, I wasn't as high on price, but like, as I heard report after report,
6:42I'm talking to Charlie Campbell who called, you know, he he's had some great calls.
6:46He's the most accurate draft analyst on the planet.
6:48Uh, he's really high on Darian price too. So as they, he talked me into it.
6:52And so I got more and more bullish on him.
6:54So I've been drafting a lot of Darian price, uh, in the past month or so.
6:58So yeah, I mean, he he's the guy he's, he's, he's super talented.
7:01They took him the first round. Uh, if it wasn't for Jeremiah Love at Notre Dame, he would have posted some, some sick numbers.
7:07So uh, I think he's going to do well.
7:10And like, unlike Jeremiah Love, he's actually on a really good team where like Jeremiah Love, you have to worry about him getting carries in the fourth quarter.
7:17Cause they're going to be way behind with him.
7:19He's going to be getting the work in the fourth quarter.
7:22Yeah. Another thing, um, things I told you things would open up for, for Jeremiah Love and sure enough, Connor is going
7:27to start on IR and he'll never come back to the way he was.
7:31He was never that great of a running back, man, like backup for Le'Veon Bell for years.
7:35An average guy, subpar at best. And then, you know, they, they paid, you know, Jeremiah Love more than any rookie running back ever.
7:41They drafted him in third round, third, third overall, sorry, third round first, first round third overall.
7:45I mean, now finally things are actually opening up.
7:47So I believe it's going to be just Algier and Jeremiah Love.
7:50So yes, Algier could be a pest, but everyone was so afraid of Jeremiah Love because it was a four headed monster.
7:56And listen, they wanted to get rid of Trey Benson.
7:58I guess nobody wanted him. So he's on IR too or something like that.
8:02It's going to be the Jeremiah Love show, man.
8:04I'm more excited about him now than ever. Yeah.
8:06I hate to, hate to pour cold water on that.
8:09Like we had Charlie on last night and, uh, Charlie called Ash and Gentile last year.
8:13He's like, I wouldn't draft him until round three.
8:15And I think he was, he ended up being right.
8:17Uh, he, he said the same thing about Jeremiah Love.
8:20He's like, I don't like him much this year.
8:22And he talked about why, what, because Arizona is just so dreadful.
8:25This team sucks. And like, you really want to like add, uh, an early round pick on like one of the worst
8:31teams in the NFL and like the, probably the worst team, the NFC that that's his main case.
8:35He's like, he's like next year. Love is going to be amazing.
8:38And I feel the same way. Like in 2027, like love could be a mid first round pick for me.
8:43But, uh, this year I just don't want to draft players from that Cardinals team.
8:47At least like not running backs because they're going to be behind.
8:50They're going to throw. So receivers are okay, but running backs, uh, like there's not going to have any leads in the second half.
8:56It's maybe during playoff time, if they're losing too, they might rest them and run Algier and maybe James Connor or something like that.
9:02I could see that maybe in playoff time, but I love them.
9:05I just can pass up on the talent. And then a couple more things a few days ago here.
9:10Um, I do want to talk about this real quickly is Josh Jacobs.
9:13Again, I'm not a fan of the guy. I don't know.
9:16Years ago he wanted to fight me. I don't know if you remember that.
9:19Did you hear that whole story, Walter? I think I vaguely remember it.
9:22Yeah. Yeah. Something like it was like three, two or three years ago.
9:25First of all, I met him at the NFL draft.
9:28I was there in the press area. I met him.
9:30We took a picture. So it was a nice picture together.
9:33I shook his hand. It was all cool. And then I think a year or two later, I said, he sucked in a game or something.
9:40So then he DM me and said, he's like, you know where I'm at?
9:43Like C-U-H. I'm not his cousin. So if you guys don't like, he called me cousin.
9:47He's like, uh, and he's like, you know where I'm at, come at me or something, come find me.
9:52And first of all, I'm not his cousin. Second of all, I didn't know where he was at.
9:56I just did not know. He thought he said, I knew where he was at.
10:00I didn't. And then I said, let's set up a boxing match.
10:03I'm down. And then he blocks me. So a lot of lies, a lot of lies.
10:07I felt deceived, you know, cause he told me to come find him.
10:10Right. And I knew where he was, which I didn't.
10:13It's like a barking chihuahua. Like, you know, that's what, that's what it feels like with him.
10:17I don't get any, any grown man who blocks people.
10:20I don't get it. I've never blocked anyone in my life.
10:22I don't understand it. He's got to deal with it.
10:25Um, but yeah, so anyway, Marshawn Lloyd is expected to serve as a starting running back.
10:29And then they brought in Najee or sorry, Caleb Johnson, who I, Caleb Johnson was a big disappointment.
10:33He was drafted relatively high, I think second or third round never got the opportunity.
10:37I don't know why he looked okay in college.
10:39And now you got these two guys, what a disaster there.
10:42I mean, Caleb could be a late round sleeper here, but Marshawn Lloyd, I just don't trust this guy staying healthy.
10:47No, he's played one game in the NFL and that was 10 carries.
10:50And then he got hurt, uh, this guy. And, and he never had more than 130 touches in any season in college too.
10:56This is not just NFL is dating back to college.
10:59He's basically Mr. Glass. Uh, for those of you who watched that movie, you can't stay healthy.
11:03Uh, I think Chris Brooks is worth a look late.
11:05I think he's better than Caleb Johnson, but you know, I, I, I think Marshawn Lloyd, if you got him before this
11:11Jacobs news, like congratulations, you got to steal. Um, if you, if you're drafting him round five, round six, it's probably where he should go.
11:17He should probably be going with like a run Andre Stevenson is going, you know, something like that.
11:22Uh, there's potential there. Um, but there's a lot of downside with him.
11:25I'm not drafting him. Won't do it. All right.
11:27That's it for news and notes guys. Let's start with the first player here that we'd like to get more stock with.
11:33We're going to count 10 to one is my guy, Marvin Harrison, Jr.
11:36We're going to rip through this list because I know a lot of you guys got to get out to get to drafts.
11:41I know you're excited. So let's rip through it.
11:44Marvin Harrison, Jr. Looked good in preseason, look good in training camp, make or break here for him.
11:48He's an amazing talent that you know better than anybody else.
11:51Probably when you guys looked at his draft prospect metrics coming in as a rookie a couple of years ago, Marvin Harrison,
11:56I think top the charts, maybe I'm wrong, but let me know on that Walter, but this guy has to do it this year.
12:02I'm not sold on anybody else there. He is the alpha dog.
12:05I think this, this, he has to do it this year.
12:08Like if you draft Marvin Harrison, like his back's against the wall, like he has to do something this year.
12:13And for that reason alone, he, I think he's worth the ADP.
12:16What is it round five, give or take? Yeah.
12:18Five, five, six, something like that. Um, you know, with him.
12:21Yeah. He has a lot, a load of potential actually heading into that draft, like half the teams we spoke to actually
12:27like neighbors more and half the teams like Harrison.
12:29So it was like pretty even split there. Um, but yeah, he's been a big disappointment.
12:33He didn't run the 40 before the draft. And like, now we might see why, like he's had issues with separation, but
12:38like he had that amazing game week two against the Rams in his rookie year.
12:42He had like a, like three touchdowns, like 200 something yards.
12:45I forget what it was exactly, but he had this crazy game and you're like, Oh wow, this is the potential we have.
12:50And he just never had it. Uh, I don't know.
12:53Um, he has high upside, but there's a low floor.
12:55I could see like why you like him a lot, but you're not getting him.
12:59It's cause like, he's not a guarantee at any point, but he has, he has amazing potential.
13:03So I could see why you'd be in on Harrison.
13:06Yeah. Just where his ADP was coming. I'm kind of still stacking running backs and you know, I missed out on him.
13:11I, I'm, if he breaks out this year, I probably won't, I won't be a part of the parade here or, you
13:17know, the journey with Marvin Harrison, unfortunately I'll try to stack them more in best ball.
13:21But again, he just, he just hasn't made me feel warm and fuzzy a hundred percent, but it's interesting.
13:26Could be a make or break. Another guy that you didn't get a lot of stock with is your guy, but also my guy as well.
13:32And I think you and me are on board on this.
13:35I've got zero stock of DJ Moore and I definitely see the boom upside because he could finally come and come in
13:40and be the wide receiver one again to Josh Allen, which they so desperately need.
13:44I thought Keyon Coleman, Keyon Coleman would have came in and filled that role, especially where he was drafted first pick second
13:50round a couple of years ago and his physical talent looked off the charts and then he did absolutely nothing.
13:55But DJ Moore is a veteran looked pretty solid and confident preseason.
13:57He looked confident, man. I don't know if you saw the one couple of catches there.
14:01And I think it was week two or something.
14:04But what's, what's your story? Why do you have to have DJ Moore, but you missed out on him?
14:08Cause it's like you with Harrison, like I'm drafting running backs there.
14:11So I'm not getting as much more as I want.
14:14And I actually bet him to an offensive player of the year is like granted like 240 to one, it's 240 to
14:19one, but still I think he's a great value there.
14:22And I think he's a, he's a good pick in fantasy.
14:25If you're, if you're loaded up on running backs initially and you have more fall to you around five, I think that's a great pick.
14:31Problem is he's going a little bit earlier now.
14:33Cause he had that great preseason game. So now I see him go like mid third, late third sometimes, like sometimes, sometimes.
14:39Yeah, exactly. So sometimes like early four, but he's just going a little earlier than I want now.
14:43So I'm just not getting him, but think about it this way.
14:46This guy's a really talented player. He's the first round pick.
14:49He's never had a great quarterback. The best quarterback he's ever had is Cale Williams in his rookie year.
14:54Last year he had Cale Williams in his second year, but more wasn't as involved.
14:57And he actually told us it's so weird. He'd never hear this in players, but heading into last season, he said, I'm
15:03not going to be as productive this year. Cause like he kind of knew that Ben Johnson wanted to go elsewhere.
15:08And so he kind of like slacked off last year and he took a break this year.
15:12He's excited. He's motivated. As you said, like he has the best quarterback, one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, arguably the best.
15:18And like, this is a huge upgrade from what he's ever had, you know, from Carolina to Chicago.
15:23So I think more is going to break out.
15:25The problem is, like I said, I'm drafting running backs instead.
15:28Yeah, I agree. His ADP is getting a little high for an older receiver.
15:31Who's been slightly above par. I never thought he was in him.
15:34I always thought he was like a one B.
15:36It's just the appeal is again, you've got the Josh Allen appeal, but another thing that turns me off and I've kind
15:42of, I kind of got a little bit of a rule here and the rule is simple.
15:46I don't draft older receivers on new offenses. It's just not, it's just something that's never been appealing to me.
15:51We see guys like Deandre Hopkins when he made the move, he's just never the same.
15:55So many other receivers as well. When they make the move, they're just never, never like a top tier guy.
16:00So yeah, yeah, I have no stock. Next guy here is, I wish I had more stock of this guy and it
16:06could be a boomer bus thing, but his ADP has jumped up a little bit since April.
16:10Dejan Striebling simply because of the injuries with the 49ers.
16:12But again, that curse could carry over to Striebling.
16:15So I hope it doesn't, but you looked at his metrics again, super talented receiver, look good in preseason.
16:19Mike Evans already had multiple injuries here in the off season.
16:22Dejan Striebling, do you have a lot of stuff?
16:24I missed out on him. So this is one of those ones that could be one of my big regrets.
16:29Yeah. I talked about how I kept getting Malachi Fields around 19.
16:32I kept getting Striebling around 13 or 14, like back earlier in the summer.
16:36So all my best ball teams are loaded with Striebling in that area, but now I'm not getting to him because he's
16:41going like round seven, just feels like, you know, why, why pay full price?
16:45Like when I already got a discount, you know?
16:47So I'm not, I'm not drafting him now unless he's maybe round eight or so, but round seven, I'm not really touching him.
16:53I'd rather have, uh, you know, a quarterback there, like, uh, maybe Drake may fall to you there or someone like that.
16:58But, um, yeah, Striebling, I, I love great hands.
17:00You know, he's going to, he catches everything. He doesn't let the ball get to his body.
17:05He's big. And, uh, but the important thing, this isn't great for fantasy, but sort of is like, he's a great blocker,
17:10but that means it doesn't count for fantasy, but that means he's going to be on the field a lot.
17:15Like he's a great run blocker. So on running plays, he's going to be there for play action.
17:20He's going to be out there. So he's going to see the, a lot of targets, a lot of, uh, a lot of snaps.
17:26So it's just great potential. Evan's going to get hurt as usual.
17:28Pierce already hurt. Kirk already hurt. Uh, Kittle already hurt.
17:31McCaffrey will get hurt. You know, it's going to be the shriveling show in San Francisco.
17:35Yeah. I, that offensive kind of, that's another reason why I stayed away.
17:38I just was not attracted or appealed appealing to, to draft any 49ers players for me.
17:42So that's why I kind of stayed away. Your next guy is Casey Concepcion.
17:46He was drafted in the first round by the Browns.
17:48Looks like Watson starting, obviously quarterback issues there and uncertainty.
17:51And then you had Denzel Boston, who again was shining in training camp.
17:54So it could be either one of those guys, which we could talk about a little bit later.
17:58Actually don't have Boston on this list, but he should be, I put them on a sleeper episode yesterday.
18:03Um, yeah, Boston, it could be Boston, man. It could be conception.
18:06Boston, I think is stronger out of the two, uh, more physical.
18:09Um, it's going to be interesting. Why conception now?
18:11It's because he's going earlier. Like I have a lot of Boston.
18:14Um, so I, I was getting Boston, like round 12, round 13 earlier in the summer.
18:18And I was going like round 11. So you have to pay a little bit more of a price because he was
18:24always going like round nine, like that, that's, that's where he's still going.
18:27Uh, he had a really good preseason game. He had four catches.
18:30Um, so he, his ADP got, went up a little bit.
18:33Sometimes you see him leak into like round eight, late round eight or early round nine.
18:37I just saw a little too rich for my blood, but I do like him a lot.
18:41Uh, like he's a shifty guy. He's going to be able to make some plays when he gets the ball in his hand.
18:47Uh, but Boston's going to be the touchdown guy.
18:49And I like both guys equally, you know, but Boston's going later than him.
18:52So just getting Boston. So I'm just not getting as much conception.
18:55If it was opposite, Boston was going around nine exception is going around 11, 12.
18:59I'd have more conception and Boston will be on this list.
19:02So it's, it's really just where they're going. If you had to just choose one, like your backs against the wall, you
19:07only have to choose one for the season. Who's going to have the better season conception or Boston?
19:12Uh, I think overall, I would say conception. I think he's got more yards and catches, but I think Boston's going to more touchdowns.
19:18So it's going to be really close, but you know, um, back to the wall, I'd say conception.
19:22Nice. All right. My guy, I didn't get a lot of stock with, but I, I wish I got more stock.
19:28He's, I think he's a must draft is don't, I'm going to be a donkey.
19:31Don't be a donkey draft, lad McConkie. And I'm going to donkey it up.
19:35I don't have a lot of stock. I think I got him in one league, not a huge buy-in again, cause I was more Emeka at that ADP.
19:42And I found he's coming off a little earlier now than he was back in April.
19:46It was more like third, fourth round. Now he's more like second round.
19:49And if you don't get them with your second pick, if you're drafting 12th, you don't get them at 13.
19:54Or if you're drafting 11th, you don't get about 14.
19:56You know, if you're drafting later in your draft, you don't swing back and get them as in the second round.
20:02He's not coming back to you in round three.
20:04Sorry to tell you. So, you know, you could be a donkey if you miss out on McConkie, but that's a guy I've just completely missed out on.
20:11Yeah. I have him like 7% of best ball, which is a little bit lower.
20:15The 8.3% is like break even. So yeah, I feel the same way.
20:18Like there are a couple of receivers. I like a little bit more than him, but I'm drafting running backs too in that area.
20:24Like, yeah, he sometimes gets the 312, but it's rare.
20:26He's usually going like mid third round, like you said.
20:29So yeah, I'm just not getting to him. Like I said, there's just other guys I like, but he's coming off the
20:34injury that was not reported last year. He got hurt in training camp and now he's healthy.
20:39There's no Keenan Allen as well. So that's going to help him a lot.
20:42I really like McConkie. I think it has a great year, but I'm like you.
20:46I just haven't gotten a lot of him. Yeah.
20:48Keenan Allen's annoying. Apparently with that DUI, apparently he's ready to play week one.
20:52Things are opening back up for Tyler Warren. I think he's going to be a pest.
20:56I think he's going to, he's just, he's so useless.
20:58Like he's just there to hoard volume. Like he wasn't a big fantasy contributor last year, but he took a hundred targets.
21:03Like that a hundred targets could have really catapulted Ladd McConkie back into the top 10, but he didn't.
21:08It's like, what a waste of just being on the field.
21:11It's like so annoying. Like why doesn't that guy just go away?
21:14Guys like Keenan Allen, these veteran receivers that are just like not going to peak and never reach a pinnacle amount or
21:19just become a top 10 again, are just there to hoard.
21:22And that's what really bothers me. So that's why I'm really in on McConkie.
21:26And that's why I really like Trey Harris, uh, later on, I got a ton of Trey Harris stock hedging my bet
21:31thinking that he could be the wide receiver to there.
21:34I'm still not sold on Quentin Johnson being the guy, although he has shown some flash of that big touchdown reception.
21:39So anything can happen there. I got some Gadsden stock.
21:41So that Keenan Allen void really opened things up for some guys to break out there.
21:45Honestly. Yeah. Keenan Allen's like that small fly is like, Oh, he's buzzing in your face.
21:49Swatting it. You can't get rid of it. That's, that's what he is at this point.
21:53Yeah. He had a hundred targets. Like, you know, like he's going to cost Warren like 30 targets.
21:58He's going to cost downs 30 targets. He's going to cost a pierce some targets.
22:02Like it's, it's annoying. It's really annoying. Before we get to five, I got to share a story here.
22:06I, this is story time with the council. This is a very crucial story.
22:10I was in a chance to win a million.
22:12I think it was a $2,000 buying league. I had, I was playing against that.
22:16This is like four years ago. So I barely remember, but I remember this is the gist of it.
22:20Okay. I was up by like a point and a half or something like that EPR league.
22:25Right. And I was playing against like, I think I may have had Justin Herbert, regardless I was playing against Justin Herbert and they had lost that game.
22:32It was him and Keenan Allen and he was forced feeding Keenan.
22:35I was playing against Keenan Allen and fantasy. This is a crazy story.
22:38Okay. And again, I'm up. There's probably like 30 seconds left.
22:41They're down by like 20 points and they're rushing down the field to try to win this game, but they're down by like 20 points.
22:47The chargers were, I'm like, what are you doing?
22:49And I was up by 1.5. I was, I can, I was up by a lot.
22:53And then he kept feeding Keenan Allen. And then at that one point I was up by 1.5 points or something, or
22:59like less than that, or like half a point.
23:01I'm like, I got this locked. The game is over.
23:03They don't need to throw the ball anymore. Like there's like 10 seconds left on the clock.
23:08Keenan Allen catches the ball and screws my fantasy team in the championship.
23:11Like, dude, it was like, I lost it. Like I, you don't understand how much I hated Keenan Allen after that.
23:16Like he had no reason catching that ball. He had no, they had no business driving downfield to score and they didn't even score.
23:22It's like Keenan Allen caught that ball, screwed my fantasy team.
23:25And they were, that was it. That was the end of the game.
23:28Yeah. You see my frustration? That's brutal. I suffered the same thing with Travis Kelsey last year.
23:32I was, uh, I was second or third place in a draft Kings contest.
23:36I was winning $5,000, but the final drive, this is week 17 against the Broncos.
23:39The chiefs are getting smoked here. Uh, they Travis Kelsey catches three passes and I get passed.
23:44I go from third to fifth and I, I, I don't want anywhere near five grand.
23:48I actually wrote that in my book. You're the bad beat.
23:50I don't know if you'd mind me showing it, but, uh, you're the bad beat.
23:54So yeah, this is, uh, we just published this, uh, you're the bad beat.
23:58So, uh, yeah, it's available on Amazon. Uh, I talked about that story and so many other bad beats that I had
24:03and that was, that was a brutal one to lose, man.
24:06Anyway, let's move on here. I'm too angry still.
24:08That brings back. Okay. Your guy, I have no stock of this.
24:11If Jonah Coleman, it's just too many mouths to feed there.
24:14We got to get a Dobbins injury, which is very viable.
24:17And we need an RJ Harvey injury for this guy to emerge and get the volume.
24:21But, um, we, you, you missed out on him, but why do you regret missing out on them?
24:25So this is kind of like Malachi fields where the giants are like, we don't want you to play.
24:30Stay away. The same thing happened. Jonah Coleman. He took three carries, just only three, three carries in the first preseason game and the Broncos coaches pulled him.
24:37So they're like, you're too good. Uh, this guy, I liked his profile coming out of school.
24:41He, uh, is great with his vision. So he's the opposite of Harvey.
24:44Like he's not as athletic, but he's a great runner.
24:47He knows where to go. Uh, he's going to make all the right cuts and everything.
24:51Uh, see all the lanes. Uh, I think he's a really talented guy.
24:54Uh, but yeah, the problem is like you said, too many mouths to feed you have Dobbins and Harvey.
24:59I don't think Harvey's a factor for the run.
25:01I think they're going to use Harvey as more of a receiver this year.
25:04So it's really just Dobbins and you know, Dobbins, it's really a shame how his career has gone.
25:09Like if he had stayed healthy, we're talking about like perennial Pro Bowl type talent, this guy, unfortunately he gets hurt a lot.
25:15It sucks. Uh, but yeah, if he gets hurt again, I think it's gonna be Coleman.
25:19I don't think Harvey is going to be a factor for the runs.
25:22Like, like you said, he's going to catch passes, but it's going to be Coleman getting all the carries.
25:27So I like him late. The problem is I'm getting all my running backs early and I'm just not drafting running backs late.
25:32So that that's why I'm not getting to him.
25:35Yeah. He's a stash similar to my next guy that I don't have enough stock and I got him in one league,
25:40which is not bad at a chance at a mill, but it was a $350 buy and I didn't get him in
25:45my 2k buy him, but I had to make decisions.
25:48I, there was like Mike Washington. There's other guys there that I liked, but Emmett, Emmett Johnson, you look at his metrics at a college, he's solid.
25:55He's strong. I mean, this is, I I'm missing out and I know Walker's going to go down.
25:59So this is going to be a big regret.
26:01I feel Walter. If, if you didn't put Emmett Johnson on your list, uh, you know, you gave me your list and I gave you my list.
26:08Like he would have been, uh, one of my top running backs or top players on this list.
26:13He's really talented as well. I love him. Like same, same sort of great vision.
26:16You know, he can catch passes. He can, he's a big guy.
26:19He can get the goal line carries. Like he could do everything for Kansas city.
26:23And we know, look, we know Kenneth Walker doesn't get the goal line carries.
26:27He didn't do that last year. It was Charbonnet.
26:29So who's to say Emmett Johnson is not going to get the goal line carries here.
26:33Like even, even if Walker stays healthy, Emmett Johnson could be involved, but, but we know that Walker gets hurt a lot.
26:38So once that happens, not if, but when it'll be Emmett Johnson, he's the RB two there.
26:43I like him a lot. Your next guy here.
26:45I've got tons of stock. No regrets for me.
26:47This is a Walter thing. I've got it. I've got it.
26:50Mika. Um, why did you miss out on a Mika?
26:52Just because I'm draft. Well, two reasons. One I'm drafting the running backs there.
26:56I'm taking like scataboe, uh, Javante Williams, Brees, all third, these are third round guys.
26:59That's kind of where a book is going. So, uh, I I'm prioritizing running backs over receivers.
27:04You know how much I love Devante Smith as well.
27:06I don't have much Devante Smith either, just cause I'm drafting the running backs.
27:10So we, we did a fancy draft on your, your channel last week.
27:13And, uh, the third round came around and you're like, you're, you're probably gonna take Devante Smith cause you like him, right?
27:18And I'm like, well, I want my running backs.
27:21I want four in the first six rounds, five in the first eight.
27:24And so I'm just drafting running backs over VUCA.
27:26So that's one reason. The other is the, there's the toe injury.
27:29So you have to be worried about that a little bit.
27:32I don't like drafting injured players. Now he might be fine for week one.
27:35We'll see. They haven't announced that yet, but right now we just don't know.
27:39Like what if he misses two or three games?
27:41That's, you know, just going to waste the third round pick on that.
27:44Um, not, not that it's complete waste cause he's gonna be good later, but I don't want to draft an injured player that early.
27:50So those two factors, I love a VUCA as a talent, but right now I don't have as much as him as I would like.
27:56Yeah. I'm not really concerned. Uh, I think he'll be fine.
27:59Um, and it's a toe. Some people say like that toe lingers.
28:02I I'm just not, I'm not concerned. We'll see.
28:04I'm going to have faith. Um, Brian Thomas, I'm a guy that I don't have a lot of stock in.
28:09I still believe he's the alpha dog. You're not as high on him as me again, similar to Marvin Harrison's got to get it done this year.
28:16Brian Thomas, Jr. I wish I had more stock.
28:18I believe in the talent. I believe he emerged as the wide receiver one again, when you compare him with Parker Washington.
28:24And again, some people, I think you said it, um, it was a quarterback that was throwing to him in his rookie
28:29years, like garbage time, whatever he inflated his numbers and all that.
28:32I still think he's the alpha dog on the team.
28:35Washington is just not a dog. He's just not the same.
28:38And mind you, I've been seeing a ton of highlight clips with Washington looking amazing as well.
28:42So that could be a regret or it could be, you know, I'm glad I didn't get Brian Thomas cause Washington tears it up.
28:48So I may regret this or I may be happy.
28:50I didn't draft Brian Thomas. Yeah. I see a Parker Washington.
28:53It's kind of like a Cooper cop or Chris Godwin type of player.
28:56And he'll be like, I think a good comp is Tampa Bay.
28:59Like Brian Thomas, Jr. And Tampa Bay would be like Mike Evans.
29:02And then, uh, Parker Washington would be like Chris Godwin.
29:05So he'd be like, you want Evans obviously over God.
29:07Right. But here's the thing in Liam Cohen, Liam Coe's coach of the Jaguars and Liam Cohen's one year in Tampa.
29:12That was the year Godwin outproduced Evans. It's because the, the, his offense funnels through the slot receiver.
29:17Like they, they just attack the middle of the field over and over again.
29:20And like the, the X receiver, which is Thomas and Evans back then, they just like, yeah, they'll, they'll catch a big
29:26pass here and there, but they're just drawing attention away from all the stuff that's happening over the middle of the field.
29:31And Washington last year, we saw what happened when he became the slot receiver.
29:35Like he went insane. Like those final five, six games that he had, it was crazy.
29:39Like if you extrapolate that over 17 games, he's one of the top receivers in the NFL and fantasy.
29:44So I think that's going to continue. I think they want to funnel their offense to Parker Washington.
29:48Uh, you even had a Liam Cohen, the coach even had some jokes.
29:51He's saying, uh, in some press conferences earlier this month or last month, he was saying like, I, I talked to Parker
29:57Washington more than my wife these days. And so like, when you hear that from the, when you hear that from the
30:02coach, I'm like, I'm, I'm all in. I, Thomas is a very talented player, but I think the offense is just going to funnel through Washington.
30:09Okay. Maybe I didn't make a regret then we'll see, but I still like Brian.
30:13I still think I always go for the alpha.
30:15I always, I believe they're not, you know, the high draft capital guy.
30:18All right. Last one here. I don't have a lot of stock in him.
30:21It could be a regret Luther burn, just the situation for me.
30:24It's all about the situation. No DJ more huge opportunity.
30:27Luther burn could go to the moon. You really could.
30:29It's the same thing. Uh, same slot receiver type of deal with Ben Johnson.
30:33Look at Ben Johnson, slot receivers yet. I'm on Ross St.
30:36Brown to start like his, his rookie year went nuts before that.
30:39And we'd be like, okay, St. Brown's great. Like he had Jarvis Landry in Miami, Jarvis Landry led the league in receptions on their Ben Johnson.
30:45So you look at all the slot receivers that funnels through that.
30:48They'd love attacking the middle of the field. Burden is the slot receiver there.
30:52Um, for me, I'm not getting as much of him because of the, you know, again, same with Buka two, two reasons.
30:57One, the injury, uh, he got banged up. Now it sounds like he's going to be ready week one.
31:02So I'm excited about that. So I have a little bit of him, not, not zero.
31:06The other reason is again, with the running backs, I'm taking running backs early.
31:09I like taking my ACE receiver, who's usually like AJ Brown or something like that.
31:13And then going, uh, and then going running backs the rest of the first five or six rounds.
31:18But sometimes the ACE receiver is like Luther Burton.
31:20If I go like triple triple running back to start and I round four, I take burden.
31:24As my number one receiver, that happens. But it's usually like, yeah, I, if there's a, if there's running back there, like
31:29scatabo or burden, I'm taking scatabo every time. Cause I want the running back.
31:33Yeah, man. Hope he doesn't become a burden and bust.
31:35I think he'll be, I think he'll be good though.
31:38We'll see. Cause he came on, he came on at the end of last season.
31:42So I'm, I'm thinking there could be something there.
31:44That's it. Uh, some regrets, man. Um, I don't know.
31:46I'm just happy with my team. We shouldn't technically have a regret.
31:49If you guys don't want any regrets, make sure you guys do grab 16 rounds.
31:53I've linked it below. Uh, go follow Walter football's YouTube channel.
31:56And that's all we have for you, man. It's a big draft weekend.
31:59We're excited. Uh, energy's high and football. I can't wait till football actually comes back.
32:03I don't like the preseason stuff. Give me the good stuff.
32:06I know it's one week until football starts. That's, that's crazy.
32:08Uh, it's, it's a day earlier this year cause we get the Wednesday game.
32:12I can't wait. Uh, you know, we, we can, these preseason games are brutal.
32:15Uh, we, we had the final 24 hours or whatever it was like we had 22 teams play in three, three starters, like three teams playing the starters.
32:22So I can't wait for real football. It's gonna be awesome.
32:25And Wednesday, September 9th, Jadarian price prime time, baby.
32:27And you're, uh, you're AJ Brown. You got a lot of AJ Brown's that I got a lot of Jadarian price.
32:33So we'll be watching that with a magnifying. I could see it.
32:35I'm watching it. Yeah. Drake, Drake makes my, Drake makes my highest drafted quarterback too.
32:39So I have a lot of may a lot of AJ Brown, rot Romeo dubs.
32:43So I think it would be the Wes Walker role, uh, in, in new England this year.
32:47So I have a lot of stock. Uh, can't wait for it.
32:50Yeah. I've got zero stock with the pages and also really heavily watching that because I've got no trivia on Henderson's that
32:56I'd be heavily watching the Stevenson Henderson split that game.
32:58So there's a lot of fantasy relevance in that first, uh, season opener.
33:01So I'm excited. Yeah, I'm excited too. And then the next day we have Rams Niners.
33:05So we get shriveling, we get to see our shriveling and all the Rams players.
33:09It's going to be so fun. And that's in Australia.
33:12My cousin's going to that. He said he paid a lot to get tickets, man.
