A.J. Brown

PositiveProjection7:32

JJ Zachariason projects a monster year for AJ Brown, noting that he has never played with an elite passer like Drake May, which could elevate his production to levels reminiscent of 2007 New England.

Insight page

Blake Corum

PositiveSleeper32:37

Blake Corum is a high-floor, high-ceiling target in the seventh round. JJ Zachariason notes he has standalone value due to his 50-50 split with Kyron Williams, but would produce at a second-round level if Williams were injured.

Insight page

Breece Hall

NegativeValue10:41

JJ Zachariason compares Jeremiah Love favorably to Breece Hall, implying Love is a better value pick in the current draft context.

Insight page

Brian Thomas Jr.

PositiveValue27:00

JJ Zachariason selects Brian Thomas Jr. in the sixth round, viewing him as a strong value and the likely wide receiver one for his team.

Insight page
PositiveBreakout37:05

Brian Thomas Jr. is viewed as an 'alpha' receiver who is expected to rise due to the pressure to perform as a first-round draft pick.

Insight page

Chase Brown

PositiveUsage5:46

JJ Zachariason highlights Chase Brown as a strong target due to his pass-catching ability and an improved Cincinnati defense that should lead to more favorable game scripts.

Insight page

D.J. Moore

PositiveProjection24:16

JJ Zachariason is high on DJ Moore, projecting the best season of his career now that he is paired with Josh Allen, noting high target volume in the preseason.

Insight page

Dak Prescott

NegativeUsage30:37

Dak Prescott was drafted by a simulation team in the mock draft because he was ahead of Justin Herbert on ADP, demonstrating the importance of tracking team needs during a draft.

Insight page

De'Von Achane

NegativeValue7:03

JJ Zachariason views Devon Achane as overvalued at his current ADP, preferring him as a mid-second round selection rather than an early-round pick.

Insight page

DeVonta Smith

NegativeBust13:46

JJ Zachariason expresses skepticism about DeVonta Smith, citing rumors that he is not ready to be a primary wide receiver and noting recent drops in preseason action.

Insight page

Drake London

NegativeValue10:20

JJ Zachariason considers Drake London a safe pick, though he does not express high enthusiasm for him compared to other options.

Insight page

Drake Maye

PositiveProjection34:17

JJ Zachariason identifies Drake Maye as a high-upside target with the potential to finish as the overall QB1 this season, noting he would have been a great value pick in the sixth round.

Insight page

Emeka Egbuka

PositiveBreakout13:27

JJ Zachariason selects Emeka Egbuka in the third round, noting his lack of competition, talent, and status as a primary wide receiver despite a minor toe injury.

Insight page

George Pickens

NegativeValue10:21

JJ Zachariason views George Pickens as overpriced at his current draft position.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

PositiveSleeper19:07

JJ Zachariason identifies Jadarian Price as a steal in the mid-rounds, highlighting that the Seahawks are not playing him in the preseason, which indicates his high importance to the offense.

Insight page

James Cook

NegativeValue5:25

JJ Zachariason identifies James Cook as a viable target at his draft position, though he was sniped by another team before the pick could be made.

Insight page

Javonte Williams

PositiveProjection15:11

JJ Zachariason targets Javonte Williams, expecting him to benefit from an explosive offense and a middle-of-the-pack defense that will allow for more fourth-quarter carries.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

PositiveBreakout10:34

JJ Zachariason targets Jeremiah Love, citing reports that he will start week one, his status as the highest-paid rookie, and his elite talent profile.

Insight page

Josh Jacobs

NegativeBust10:45

JJ Zachariason avoids Josh Jacobs due to a looming suspension risk.

Insight page

Justin Herbert

PositiveValue30:23

Justin Herbert is considered a strong value pick in the seventh round, with JJ Zachariason noting he was available due to realistic draft room dynamics where only one other team needed a quarterback.

Insight page
PositiveValue30:23

JJ Zachariason targets Justin Herbert as his ace quarterback, noting that he fell to him in the draft due to the specific needs of other drafters.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

NegativeBust10:11

JJ Zachariason labels Kenneth Walker a huge bust, citing concerns about the overall state of the Seattle offense.

Insight page

Kyren Williams

NegativeUsage10:47

JJ Zachariason expects Kyren Williams to lose significant volume to Blake Corum this season.

Insight page
NegativeRole37:21

JJ Zachariason suggests that while Blake Corum could eat into his workload, Kyron Williams remains the primary back whose presence currently caps Corum's overall ceiling.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

PositiveBreakout37:05

Marvin Harrison Jr. is categorized as an 'alpha' receiver who is expected to rise because he is in a make-or-break situation and must perform as the team's primary target.

Insight page

Michael Wilson

PositiveSleeper35:21

Michael Wilson is highlighted as a target for the eighth round due to his consistency in the second half of last year and the expectation that Arizona will be trailing in games, leading to high passing volume.

Insight page

Najee Harris

NegativeBust16:41

JJ Zachariason views Najee Harris as a declining player who is worn down and unlikely to threaten Cam Scadabo's role.

Insight page

Nico Collins

NegativeValue10:22

JJ Zachariason states he does not care for Nico Collins at his current draft cost.

Insight page

Parker Washington

NegativeBust27:33

JJ Zachariason dismisses Parker Washington, citing poor rookie stats and a lack of production in meaningful game situations.

Insight page

Quinshon Judkins

PositiveUsage18:45

JJ Zachariason selects Quinshon Judkins, praising his talent, the improved offensive line, and his role as a workhorse with no committee competition.

Insight page

Rashee Rice

NegativeBust10:24

JJ Zachariason dismisses Rashee Rice as a waste of a draft pick.

Insight page

Saquon Barkley

NegativeBust7:10

JJ Zachariason expresses concern regarding Saquon Barkley, citing poor efficiency metrics from the previous season, specifically ranking 35th out of 38 qualifiers in explosive runs.

Insight page

Terry McLaurin

PositiveProjection23:56

JJ Zachariason believes Terry McLaurin will bounce back this year after a season hampered by a holdout and subsequent injury.

0:00Welcome to the show guys exciting one here for you we're gonna be doing a fantasy football mock draft here with you
0:06and I've got the great and powerful Walter Football look at this Walter we're queued up we're ready to go we're excited
0:12so if you guys are in the car on screen watching we're ready to rock Walter are you ready to go we're
0:18gonna mock with the with the fans to see they're gonna see some of our picks.
0:22I know I'm excited to do this you were on my channel doing a mock draft now when your channel doing a
0:28mock draft that's it's that time you got to practice these I recommend doing a lot of mock drafts trying to stuff out.
0:34But yeah, I'm drafting number 12 because I have a big money league where I'm number 12 in a PPR League so
0:40it's gonna be good practice here so again I can't emphasize enough you got to do your mock drafts and you got
0:46to watch these mock drafts to kind of learn what's going on.
0:49Now the reason we're doing we're only gonna do seven rounds with you we're gonna tease you because if you got the
0:55full solution you got to get I don't give away all my secrets I know I see a lot of other people
1:01do mock drafts like and they just give it all away I'm not I'm gonna give you guys seven rounds here make
1:07sure you guys grab the 16 Rounds which you get all my sleepers all my breakouts and you get to see how
1:13I draft from first six 12 position so you have that optimal roster so make sure you guys do grab 16 rounds for the full solution.
1:20We're gonna walk you through seven rounds but seven rounds are very important because they're gonna give you a solid foundation so
1:26you have an idea of like who to draft to build that foundation because everything houses everything relationships are all built on
1:32a foundation so having those first seven rounds is very crucial isn't it Walter?
1:36Yeah, absolutely. I mean you can't you can't blow these picks like late round you take some flyers yes you're gonna have
1:42some hits you're gonna have some misses it's it's part of the deal.
1:45But if you miss on these early picks you're not gonna have a good team so we're gonna tell you which which
1:51players to draft in these early rounds. All right, I'm ready to dive in here and again guys make sure you guys
1:57are subscribed thumbs up smash it tap it hit the thumbs up and we are gonna be ready to roll here.
2:03Okay, I'm gonna start the draft now. This is a simulation draft.
2:06So a lot of this is going to be based on, you know, ADP consensus aka can sheepsis rankings and then you
2:12have to basically simulate based on that and figure out like this is realistic to some degree, right?
2:17Walter you've done a lot of these sleeper drafts like you got Gibbs Robinson Taylor then it comes up to me and I'm on the queue here.
2:24So it seems pretty realistic. Yeah, absolutely. I mean, you're gonna have some can sheepsis people in your draft.
2:29It depends, you know, on my channel, we have really sharp drafters.
2:32So, you know, once in a while you get you get a can sheepsis guy sneak in there.
2:37But if you do a lot of these drafts and in real life, like when in when your league starts, you're gonna
2:43have some guys who don't really know what's going on.
2:46They haven't done any mock draft. No prep. They show up with the fantasy football football magazine like it's 1998.
2:51You know, they're so unprepared for it. So you're gonna have some of these picks like a Taylor at 103 Christian McCaffrey 105.
2:57We would not recommend those selections. All right, so I'm gonna make my pick.
3:01I like Omar and I'm gonna move you over so you can see people can see the picks as we're queuing them up.
3:07So I went Omar and Hampton. I love the upside.
3:10I love the ceiling. I love the team and to move you over here a little bit beside me.
3:15And then we could we can roll here. Now you're drafting from the 12 spot again.
3:19I love Omar and Hampton. I'm rolling with him.
3:22No doubt about it. Yes, great pick. I think it's either James Cook or Marion Hampton for where you drafted and I
3:28got sniped team 11 took James Cook. So I was gonna take him.
3:31Unfortunately, I don't have access to James Cook right now.
3:34So I would definitely recommend drafting one running back like I was back to back picks right here.
3:39And so if if Cook and Hampton off the board, I think the next running back you're kind of looking at this range is let's pull this up.
3:46I think it's gonna be Chase Brown. He catches a lot of passes and he's Cincinnati's defense gonna be a lot better this year.
3:53I think people are kind of missing that like it's not gonna be great defense.
3:57Don't get me wrong, but they added a lot of talent.
4:00And instead of being a bottom five defense, they're going to be in the middle of the back.
4:04Like if they're 18th, that's good enough for Joe Burrow and they have an easy schedule.
4:09Remember, they play the NFC South four games against those terrible teams.
4:12They're going to have a good opportunity to rack up wins.
4:15So I could go double running back here. If Jenty was healthy, I think he'd be the pick, but he's not.
4:21I'm not. I'm concerned about his health. There's Devon Achan.
4:23You know, I know you're not a fan. And not at all.
4:27He's he's more middle second round for me. I think a little too early.
4:30Saquon Barkley is a possibility as well, but he I don't trust.
4:34I don't really trust it. I think he could have a very, very poor year, kind of like he did last year.
4:39He was 35th out of 38 qualifiers in explosive runs.
4:42So what I'm going to do is I'm going to take my receiver.
4:46I like I like starting four running backs the first six rounds, but I also like getting the ace receiver at the turn.
4:52So I'm going to go with AJ Brown. I think he has a monster year.
4:56And with New England kind of late, I think it's going to remind people a little bit of what we saw in New England in 2007.
5:03Not to that extent with Randy Moss, but AJ Brown's never had an elite passer like Drake May.
5:08And I think he's just going to have an awesome year.
5:11I can't wait for it. I know you're really high on AJ Brown.
5:14Again, the two Browns back to back. I do like the Chase Brown situation, but similar to Bashal Tootin.
5:19I just don't think he's ultra elite. Again, there's a huge opportunity.
5:23Great situation. Minimal competition. You know, good offenses. Right.
5:25But again, are they elite? Are they going to step up?
5:28That's my only concern with Chase Brown. I don't think he's ultra elite.
5:31I just saw a recent note here with Bashal Tootin.
5:34I guess check my story mode on Insta. Something about the coach critiquing his ability to do certain things on the field that are going to help.
5:41So he needs to work on some stuff. Again, these guys are not elite.
5:45They weren't first round picks. So that's my caution with those guys.
5:48So on that, I want to add a point.
5:51Talking about elite. I mean, this guy's got all the credentials.
5:54The guy I'm going to draft next here. I'm going to go back to back running backs.
5:58And as you can see, guys, one thing you want to monitor as well.
6:02Running backs coming off the board very high. Even in a simulation, they're coming off high.
6:06Gentia has now slipped. So these are just things you want to know here as we're moving along.
6:11I think Kenneth Walker is a huge bust. Actually, I think offense needs work.
6:15I got 45 seconds here. And then at this point, again, I don't like the wide receivers.
6:20I think Drake London is safe. Pickens is overpriced.
6:22Nico Collins, I don't care for. Rashi Rice is a waste.
6:25So I look at the best talent there. When you look at talent, they want to get rid of Trey Benson.
6:31I think he got waived and then he brought back on IR.
6:34I'm easily going to go Jeremiah Love. I heard he's going to start week one.
6:38He's the highest paid rookie of all time. Elite talent.
6:41It's a no-brainer for me just based on the other guys there compared to Brees Hall.
6:45Josh Jacobs, who's got a looming suspension. Kyron Williams, who I think is going to get his volume eaten by a quorum this year.
6:51Jeremiah Love. Walter, I like that, man. Actually, I hadn't heard that he's going to play week one.
6:56That's what I'm hearing. If that's true, that's huge.
6:59I moved him down because of the high ankle sprain.
7:01Usually that's about six weeks. But some guys can heal faster than others.
7:05So if he is indeed starting week one and has no limitations, then he is a terrific pick in the mid-second round.
7:11Because he's going to do a lot on that team, it looked like, just based on what we saw in the preseason.
7:17And yeah, from your pick afterward, we saw two tight ends and two quarterbacks go.
7:21Do not do that in this sort of format.
7:23There's so many quarterbacks and so many tight ends.
7:26The value is just so great that you can get good quarterbacks and good tight ends late.
7:30Do not draft these guys. Load up on your running backs and receivers, especially running backs.
7:34Yeah, we're seeing it more and more with mock drafts.
7:37Even when I do best ball drafts at 9 o'clock.
7:40If you guys aren't, turn on the bell. We do best ball here as well every night at 9.
7:45If you guys want to draft with me, underdog, use code LION.
7:48But yeah, man, those running backs are coming off hard and heavy fast.
7:52So I need a wide receiver here. I want to hedge my bets.
7:55I still want to get an ace receiver and blend them in as part of my core four.
8:00If you want the full core four, I'll lay down in 16 rounds as well.
8:04I do like Lad McConkie. I do like him in McDaniels.
8:07I do like Emika. I know there's some injury concerns, obviously, but that's okay.
8:11I'm going to take the third round pick with Emika.
8:14No competition. Wide receiver one. Tons of talent. He's got the toe thing, but I think he'll be fine.
8:19So I'm blending in an ace receiver in that mix.
8:21And you can go with other guys, but compared to Tee Higgins, some of these other guys.
8:26Devontae Smith, I know he's your guy, and I see he's available here.
8:29But he dropped a big ball, a deep ball.
8:32I don't think he's ready. There's rumors he's not ready to be the wide receiver one.
8:36So I think Emika is the best pick there.
8:39Nico is solid as well. Rashi Rice, I think, is a waste.
8:42So that's what I went with Emika. But you go ahead.
8:45I know you like Devontae Smith, and he's sitting there.
8:47So I think you're looking at him right now.
8:50Yeah, but I took my ace receiver. So I want to load up more running backs.
8:54If I hadn't drafted A.J. Brown, like if I took, let's just say, Jeremiah Love or Barkley or H.N., a 201 instead of A.J.
9:01Brown, then I would be looking at Devontae Smith plus another running back.
9:04But I want three running backs in the first four rounds.
9:07So as much as I love Devontae Smith, he is not the target here.
9:11It's going to be double running back. And I will go, first of all, my first running back will be Javonte Williams.
9:17He plays in a very explosive offense. So he's going to get a ton of fancy points.
9:21And again, like Cincinnati, Dallas' defense is going to be a lot better this year.
9:25They added Rashawn Gary. They added Jadavian Clowney. They added – oh, sorry, Von Miller, not Jadavian Clowney.
9:30They added Von Miller. They added Caleb Downs in the draft.
9:33Like they got some – they have some really good players now in defense.
9:37It's not going to be an elite defense, but it's going to be middle of the pack, and that's going to allow
9:43them to have leads in the fourth quarter. So that means Javonte Williams is going to run more in the fourth quarter than he did last year.
9:50My 4-0-1 pick is going to be Cam Scadabo.
9:53It should be no surprise to anyone who's seen me on this channel.
9:56I love Cam Scadabo. He's going to do everything with the Giants.
9:59And from what I heard, Najee Harris is more for Tyron Tracy.
10:03I don't think Tyron Tracy is going to make the team.
10:06I think he's going to get cut or traded just because he is so bad in pass protection.
10:10And if Scadabo goes down, they need someone to step in for him.
10:14But Najee Harris, he's worn down at this point.
10:16He's not the same player he once was a few years ago.
10:20And I think they know that. They just need a better backup.
10:23And there's a reason why he was sitting in free agency for a while.
10:27So I love Scadabo. Despite the Najee Harris signing, I would not be afraid of that.
10:31Najee Harris. I was going to cough that out, but you addressed it.
10:34Sounds good. Yeah, I don't know. He looked pretty good.
10:37He looks like he's healed up. Hopefully it doesn't affect your Scadabo pick there.
10:41So I'm looking at the wide receivers here. Again, Tett McMillan could be solid.
10:45Waddle, again, a lot of competition there could be solid.
10:47I do like Bo Nix this year, but there is a lot of mouse to feed.
10:52I think Pat Bryant emerges. Devontae Adams is the wide receiver too.
10:55Luther Burden, I do really like here. But I do want to continue to pad my running backs.
11:00In realistic draft here, I see these running backs coming off.
11:03I don't see them coming back here to five.
11:05So I want to secure either Judkins, Jadarian Price, or David Montgomery here and build up my core four running backs because
11:11I know with certainty there's going to be running wide receivers later.
11:14I know. And that's what, if you get 16 rounds, I'll help you guys build this up perfectly.
11:19And we're only drafting from the sixth spot. I'll show you how I drafted from the first spot, the 12th spot, the
11:25sixth spot, principal cheat sheet, everything is there. So here, I'm just going to go ahead and grab Quinshawn Judkins because I
11:31think Jadarian Price will fall to me. But there's a risk I lose Jadarian Price and I like him a little bit more.
11:37I'm just going to add Judkins here because I love the improvement of the O-line.
11:41I love the talent. I love that there's no committee there.
11:44And I'm getting a workhorse running back with no competition.
11:47And just as predicted, yes, there he is. Jadarian Price spelled to me.
11:50And now I feel solid. And if you look at the other people around Jadarian Price's ADP, I don't care about them.
11:56DeAndre Swift, Tootin could be good. He has a recommendation in 16 rounds as part of your core four.
12:01But again, this is my conviction. Maybe you like Tootin a little bit more as part of your core four.
12:07I like Jadarian Price. I'm rolling with him here.
12:09Again, but I wanted you to see wide receivers.
12:12I could go another wide receiver here. There's nothing wrong with that.
12:15But I still think there's not a lot of meat on the bone here when you're looking at wide receivers later where I can wait.
12:22So Jadarian Price, RB1, no competition. We don't know when Chabernet has come back.
12:25I heard as late as November. It could affect your playoffs.
12:28We've talked about this, Walter. But at that point, I think Jadarian Price has stolen that job.
12:33I'm all in. I've got my core four. Yeah, it's a great pick.
12:36I was hoping he'd come back to me. But I knew who I'm drafting with.
12:40I knew I wasn't going to get Jadarian Price there.
12:43Yeah, he's a great pick. I'm sometimes getting him at like 512s, which feels great.
12:47I think he's a steal there. And he's a great bargain in mid-round five.
12:51You should be going late round four, mid-round four, just based on, first of all, his talent.
12:55And then second, we got that news that we talked about a couple of days ago where we said that the Seahawks
13:01said that they're not going to play him at all in the preseason.
13:05And that's huge. He's a rookie. That is not often that you see.
13:08Even Jeremiah Love played for the Cardinals. They played him way too much for some reason.
13:13I don't know why they gave him so many carries.
13:15But my point is that Seattle's like, we don't even need to see you in the preseason.
13:20You're that good. And so that, to me, is the most bullish thing you could have heard.
13:25I love it. And of course, you want to see your guys play.
13:28I know that. But they don't want to get him hurt.
13:31That's how important he's going to be to the offense.
13:34I love the pick. I think I've really warmed up to him.
13:37And I think he's going way too late. So he's a steal.
13:40There are two good running backs available to me in round five.
13:43I usually don't like to say the running backs during a real draft.
13:47I think that's poor form. Right. But we're drafting in a sim here.
13:50So no one's listening except for you. No one's listening.
13:53Exactly. Are they? Maybe that AI is smarter these days.
13:56I know. There's Bashal Tootin, DeAndre Swift. DeAndre Swift's a little old.
13:59But he is, with Kyle Monongai injured, he is the workhorse there right now.
14:03But Bashal Tootin's young. He's explosive. I'm not buying the Chris Rodriguez nonsense.
14:06I really am not. No, me neither. Yeah. I love Tootin here.
14:09So he's my first pick. And I've completed my four running backs in the first six rounds.
14:14That's my goal in every draft I'm doing. And I think I have a good core four here with Chase Brown, Javante Williams, Cam Scadabo, and Bashal Tootin.
14:22I will try to get a fifth running back in the first eight rounds.
14:25And then that's it for me. I'm usually drafting nothing but receivers, quarterbacks, and tight ends afterward.
14:30Speaking of receivers, I'm going to take my second receiver here.
14:33There are a couple of good ones on the board.
14:36Let's see. So we have Terry McLaurin, who is, I believe, is going to come back with a vengeance this year.
14:41He got hurt last year. It's because he held out.
14:44I think that really kind of crushed his season just because, you know, when players hold out, they don't really practice that
14:50much, and then they tend to get injured. So I think he bounces back.
14:54But there's one guy I like more than McLaurin here.
14:56It's DJ Moore. I actually bet him to win Offensive Player of the Year, albeit 251 odds.
15:01But he's going to have the best quarterback he's ever had at his disposal in Josh Allen.
15:05Before that, it was like Caleb Williams. Williams is a young guy.
15:09He's not quite there yet, and he's not very accurate.
15:11I think DJ Moore is going to have the best season of his career, and we saw a taste of what we
15:17were going to see in the preseason, where they targeted him over and over and over again.
15:22I think you're going to see a big year out of him.
15:25And sixth round, like, I'm willing to take him late fourth.
15:28Like, early sixth, that's a steal. I also consider Jameson Williams because of the big play potential.
15:33That's more for basketball. DJ Moore, I love DJ Moore this year.
15:36Yeah, it's sad to see. Yeah, again, I think DJ Moore could, if Allen decides to target him, that's kind of the big question here.
15:43Will he target him? Is that going to happen?
15:45That's something to question. If he does, then he could be huge.
15:48I don't like McLaurin. Again, the Stefan Diggs acquisition not appealing to me.
15:52I don't like the commanders for anything, really. There's some upside with JCM and stuff like that, but not crazy on him.
15:58So at this point, I got to make an executive decision.
16:01Again, you got to read the room. These guys all have quarterbacks.
16:04There's a chance that a quarterback comes off here.
16:06It's probably going to be Dak because after Justin Herbert, there's a huge fall off.
16:10Now, some of these guys could go off. Don't get me wrong.
16:14The darts, the Mahomes, I like Bo Nix later.
16:16But this is my last chance to get Herbert and Anker, my ace quarterback.
16:20But also take a look at wide receiver. Could Brian Thomas come back?
16:23I think some of these guys, if you look, they definitely need wide receivers.
16:27I still think Brian Thomas is going to be the wide receiver one.
16:31Compared to the other guys here, you know, Mike Evans already dealing with injuries.
16:34He's old. I thought he should have retired. I don't like him at all.
16:38Apparently, he really wants to play week one. Romo Duesday, it could be solid, but I think Luther's the guy.
16:43Watson, I don't trust. Hasn't finished a season in four years.
16:46Can't crack. Six hundred, twenty-five yards. And then look at Brian Thomas, who's looking to get a contract here, looking to grind and do well.
16:53And Parker Washington sucks. Go look at his stats.
16:56Compare their first season stats from their first year.
16:58I'm just going to go Brian Thomas. And this is where I'm going to start padding my wide receivers and building some depth here.
17:04That's good value for round six for a wide receiver one, in my opinion.
17:08Yeah, we agree on a lot. You know, Devontae Smith was one of our big disagreements here on your channel.
17:14Another one. We haven't really talked about this, but we disagree on the Jaguar receivers.
17:18I really like Parker Washington. I think he's kind of a monster year.
17:21I have him a lot in best ball. And I really don't like Brian Thomas.
17:25I think that he's kind of like a dog.
17:28Like, his big production that everyone remembers, his rookie year, happened late with Mac Jones and garbage time in those games.
17:33Like, in real action, like when the game's been on the line, he's not done anything.
17:38Like, in fact, in week two against the Bengals last year, which I watched recently from my book that I just published,
17:44Year of the Bad Beat, he had his fourth and five or fourth and I think it was fourth and five.
17:49They went to him for like a four-yard pass, and he could have turned and scored.
17:53He just dropped it. And, like, he just dropped so many passes last year.
17:57And the way they use him is more of a go-or-out guy.
18:00So, I think he's going to be inconsistent. I love Parker Washington.
18:04But we can get into that another time. Parker Washington sucks.
18:07Go look at his rookie stats. Come on now.
18:09He reminds me. Someone said it the best. He reminds me of a – he gives me Christian Kirk vibes.
18:15I'm like, yeah, 100%. Like, I'm not in on that guy.
18:17But we'll see. We're going to come back during the season and debate that and the Devontae Smith pick.
18:23So, I'm going to take my Herbert here. Like, as I predicted, again, I read the room.
18:27Herbert fell to me because there's only that one person that needed a quarterback.
18:31So, I like the simulation is pretty realistic, which I like.
18:34Because, again, didn't I call that? You guys got to read the room.
18:37I said there's one person here that needs a quarterback, and it's going to be Dak Prescott because he was ahead of him on ADP.
18:44There's a chance that in your league that Herbert might not have fought because that guy might have just wanted Herbert, right?
18:50So, it's up to you guys to make those decisions.
18:53But that's it. That's it. That's kind of my foundation there.
18:56I've got my ace quarterback, ace wide receiver, building out my wide receivers now.
18:59Got my core four running backs from the sixth spot.
19:02I'm comfortable. And then now we're going to start building a team.
19:05Again, if you want the full draft, make sure you guys do grab 16 rounds.
19:09Walter, why don't you finish us out here with the last two picks?
19:13I think what you said is very important. Keeping track of quarterbacks.
19:16How many are off the board. And something you have to be mindful of is if someone drafts two of them.
19:22Because I've seen that happen before. And that throws me off.
19:25Like, one draft I did one year. Someone drafted two quarterbacks.
19:28I'm like, oh, there's 11 off the board. I'm fine for a while.
19:31But it was someone taking. Someone took a quarterback at first round and sixth round for some reason.
19:36That's not very smart. But so, yeah. Keep track of your quarterbacks.
19:39Make sure that everyone has them. And then you can wait on that.
19:43It's just a way to gain an edge during the draft.
19:46So, I'm up here at 712. I was just crossing names off the list.
19:50So, I'm looking at, like I said, I want five running backs in the first eight rounds.
19:54And then I am just done at running back.
19:57I mentioned this guy on your show two days ago with Blake Corum.
20:00He is, to me, like, when you get past, when you get to the middle rounds and late rounds, a lot of
20:06these guys will be either low floor but high ceiling.
20:09They could bust, or you could hit a home run with them.
20:12Or they'll be high floor and low ceiling, which I would not recommend drafting.
20:16But if you want to have a safe player in there, you can do that.
20:20Blake Corum is high floor and high ceiling. Because based on what he did last year, based on his 50-50 split with
20:26Williams, he's going to pay out the seventh round range.
20:28There's no doubt about it. Like, you know, bye week.
20:31You know, someone gets hurt. I can plug in Corum in my RB2 or flex and feel fine.
20:36But if Williams gets hurt, Corum is going to produce at a second-round level.
20:40If he sees more action, like Sean McVay has been saying, he's going to produce at a much higher level than this.
20:46So, I like getting Blake Corum as my RB5 in the middle rounds.
20:49I think that's a perfect way to cap off your running backs.
20:52And just, like I said, the rest of the way, I'm just drafting quarterback, receiver, tight end.
20:57I don't have a quarterback. I wanted Drake May at 5-12 or 6-1.
21:00Like, if he was there, I would have taken him instead of DJ Moore.
21:04But he's off the board. And I'm looking at the quarterbacks.
21:07And, like, the rest here, you know, once you get after Herbert, you know, I do like Lawrence a little bit.
21:13I think he's fine. There's Stafford. There's, you know, Jackson Dart.
21:16Shock. There's so many good quarterbacks. I said, I could just wait.
21:19I'm going to take my third receiver here instead.
21:21And I know we're only doing seven rounds. But if we were to continue, I would take Michael Wilson here at 8-0-1.
21:27I'm not sure what to make of him, what he did last year.
21:31But he was so good. Sorry. I'm just going to end up so we don't go to time.
21:36But Michael Wilson, he is just what he did in the second half of last year.
21:40He was so good. He was so consistent, too.
21:42And remember, Arizona's going to be behind in every game.
21:45They're terrible. So he's going to get a lot of passing.
21:48And Jacoby Brissette seemed to like him. So I'm willing to take a shot on him as my receiver three at 8-0-1.
21:54And then later on, I'm going to take some more high upside receivers.
21:57You know, like Deshaun Stribling, for example. I could have considered him at 8-0-1.
22:01Or Jacoby Lanes, Zachari Branch, Malachi Fields, those guys.
22:04I want high upside guys to pair with the two elite receivers that I have.
22:08Yeah, I just like I think still they're the betas.
22:10I think Wilson could have a great year. I think Parker Walsh could have a good year.
22:15But I still think that the betas, I always reach for the alphas.
22:18The guys that were drafted in the first round, the guys that have to.
22:22It's a make or break back against the wall season.
22:25Everybody look at Marvin Harrison Jr., Brian Thomas. They have to perform.
22:28And they're the alpha dogs on that team. So I think that they're going to rise.
22:32But that's what makes fantasy so interesting. Because I think that what you got, those two guys are fool's gold.
22:38And that's where we're going to debate. So we'll see how it goes.
22:41I do like the Corum pick. I think he starts eating more into Kyron Williams.
22:45But I think for him to be really relevant, I think he has to.
22:49There has to be an injury to Kyron Williams for him to really shine the way you want him.
22:54I think his ceiling's capped as long as Kyron Williams stays on the field.
22:58Which I think, you know, who knows? So that's my two cents on that.
23:02But that's what makes it fun. But Walter, as you notice here, by the seventh round, there's really no running backs.
23:07There is sleeper running backs. You get them all on 16 rounds.
23:11But there's other guys that could break out here.
23:13But you don't have that certainty. With wide receivers, I still see other wide receivers here that could absolutely explode.
23:18And, you know, a lot of solid sleepers. It could be wide receiver ones, wide receiver twos on their team.
23:24Still some depth available. There's still tight ends. Because after the first four tight ends, after your McBride, your Bowers, all that, all the rest are a crapshoot.
23:31And they're still available here. And then quarterback, again, if you don't get your ace running quarterback, it falls here after the seventh.
23:38Again, how to build this? It's all laid out in 16 rounds, Walter.
23:41But again, you agree, right? There's really running back gets really thin.
23:44Yeah, there's a reason why we tell you to draft your core football.
23:48Four running backs. It's not like, oh, we like the position.
23:51That's why we're telling you to draft running backs.
23:53It's because they fall off a cliff when he gets around six.
23:56Once he gets around six, that's when it completely falls off.
23:59So you have to get your four running backs.
24:02These people drafting zero RB, which worked once and never worked again, it's not a good strategy.
24:06Even hero running back is not a good strategy.
24:09Some years it could be if there's more depth at running back.
24:12But it's not this year. That position is the scarcest.
24:15And just think about it this way. If something's scarce and there's a lot of the other things, what do you think is going to hold more value?
24:22It's the thing that's the scarcest. So make sure you load up on that.
24:26And then receiver is the next scarcest. You were mentioning there's a lot of good receivers left.
24:31That's why I'm going to draft those young guys.
24:33So you can get a bunch of receivers. But there's so many quarterbacks, so many tight ends.
24:38If you don't get an elite value at quarterback or tight end, I just wait to the end.
24:42I'm like QB around 13 QB, round 14 tight end, round 15 defense, round 16 kicker.
24:47That's how we usually do it. But just look out for those values.
24:50You got your Justin Herbert at round seven. I think that's a really good value.
24:54I was saying if Drake May fell to me at 601, I could have paired him with A.J.
24:59Brown. I think that would have been a great value.
25:02I think Drake May has a great chance to be QB1 this year overall.
25:06So, yeah, you don't have to completely avoid these positions.
25:08Just make sure you get your great values. But if you don't, like I didn't, just wait until the end.
25:14Yeah, it was a good mock draft, man. And I liked how the simulation was pretty accurate.
25:18A lot of the guys were exactly kind of where they needed to be at ADP.
25:23Those running backs came off early. The wide receivers that needed to be taken in round one were taken in round one.
25:29There's a slight decline in regression in the ADP of Ashton Gentry kind of falling because he was more of a late first round.
25:35Now he's kind of falling into the second. Pretty accurate, man.
25:38How to pick the quarterback. That was nice. You know, when that team needed a quarterback, they picked Dak all on point.
25:44So that's what you need to do. You need to do these mock drafts.
25:48Practice. And if you want the full mock draft, guys, make sure you guys do grab 16 rounds where I walk through
25:54who to draft, all the late rounds. Because winning is done sometimes in those mid to late rounds.
25:58And that's where I give you those gems and how to build the roster, when to grab a defense, which defense to
26:04get, how to build it out optimally. What other options do I get?
26:08How do I build my core four from position one, position 12?
26:11How do I do it all? All the answers are, it's very easy to follow, guys.
26:15Grab 16 rounds. I've linked it below. Yeah, it was fun, man.
26:19I thought we'd do this. It's the biggest draft weekend.
26:21Why not do a mock draft and help people build a foundation?
26:25I thought that was an important episode to get done today.
26:27Yeah. Very important to do your mock drafts and watch mock drafts.
26:31Just make sure you do a few of them to prepare so you know how the flow of it's going to go.
26:37And if you do these, you're going to see, like we did, the running backs fall off a cliff.
26:42So you're going to know they draft each running backs.
26:44Other people who did not do mock drafts are like, oh, wait on a running back.
26:49It'll be fine. Like, no, they're not going to get good running backs.
26:52And their position just going to be nerfed this year, and they're not going to be able to be competitive.
26:58So if you're watching this, you're already ahead of the game.
27:01Obviously, just go even further. Do some more mock drafts.
27:03Watch some more content of ours. And then you're going to be prepared for your draft.
27:08All right, man. I'm ready, man. Make sure you guys grab 16 rounds.
27:11Join the Patreon group below All Access War Room.
27:14Go follow Walter Football on YouTube as well. And that's it for us, man.
27:17We're done. All right. Lime mentality. Let's see. We're out.
