A.J. Brown

NegativeInjury10:30

A.J. Brown is expected to be out for four weeks. The source notes that while they have some ownership of Brown, their best-ball roster construction, which emphasizes high-upside depth, mitigates the impact of the injury.

Insight page

Brian Thomas Jr.

NegativeRole25:48

The source questions whether Brian Thomas Jr. will emerge as the primary receiver for the Jaguars. They expect him to be an inconsistent deep threat, while Parker Washington is projected to be more consistent over the middle.

Insight page

Chris Olave

PositiveUsage20:00

With the Saints having only four healthy receivers on the roster, Chris Olave is expected to see a highly concentrated target share, especially if the team is playing from behind.

Insight page

Christian McCaffrey

NegativeUsage5:54

The source notes a concerning trend for Christian McCaffrey, who saw only 10 carries compared to Kalen Black's 16. While acknowledging the team's likely intent to preserve the 30-year-old back, the source highlights this as part of a broader, frustrating committee trend.

Insight page

D'Andre Swift

PositiveRole13:53

D'Andre Swift is considered a must-start for the upcoming week, as he is the primary back for the Bears while Kyle Mononga is injured.

Insight page

David Montgomery

PositiveRole22:01

David Montgomery is expected to be the workhorse for the Texans, and the source suggests betting on him to hit 70+ rushing yards, noting he has a better offensive line than his predecessor.

Insight page

Geno Smith

PositiveMatchup18:07

Geno Smith has a phenomenal matchup against the Titans defense, and with the Jets' improved offensive line protection compared to last year, he is expected to find Garrett Wilson downfield.

Insight page

J.K. Dobbins

NegativeDepth Chart36:41

The source speculates that rookie Jonah Coleman could potentially usurp J.K. Dobbins for the starting role in Denver.

Insight page

Jadarian Price

NegativeUsage3:51

The source expresses frustration with the team's usage of Jadarian Price, noting that despite his talent, the offense repeatedly utilized George Helani on third-and-short situations, resulting in failed conversions.

Insight page

Jahmyr Gibbs

PositiveRole5:44

The source identifies Jahmyr Gibbs as one of the few running backs who remains 'safe' from the current trend of committee backfields, placing him in a tier of reliable workhorse options.

Insight page
PositiveProjection20:07

Jahmyr Gibbs is considered the number one option for the Lions this week and is worth paying up for in DFS, as he is expected to run wild against the Saints.

Insight page

Jalen Hurts

PositiveProjection31:38

Jalen Hurts is the source's QB1 for the week, citing a favorable matchup against a struggling Washington defense that has looked poor in the preseason.

Insight page

James Cook

PositiveRole5:44

James Cook is considered one of the few 'safe' running backs in the current NFL landscape, avoiding the committee backfield trend that is impacting most other players.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

NegativeUsage23:55

The source advises against starting Jeremiah Love in Week 1 due to concerns about his recovery from a high ankle sprain and the likelihood that the team will mix in Tyler Allgeier.

Insight page

Joe Burrow

NegativeProjection17:36

The source notes that Joe Burrow has a poor track record in the first two weeks of the season, holding a 3-9 straight-up record in his career during that period, suggesting he does not start seasons well.

Insight page
NegativeProjection28:56

The source highlights a concerning trend for Joe Burrow, who is 3-9 straight up in his career during Weeks 1 and 2. The source advises against using him in survivor pools early in the season.

Insight page

Jonah Coleman

PositiveBreakout35:47

The source suggests Jonah Coleman could be a breakout candidate for carries, noting that Denver limited his preseason usage because they already knew he was good, potentially allowing him to usurp J.K. Dobbins.

Insight page

Jonathan Taylor

NegativeUsage15:50

Jonathan Taylor is expected to handle the bulk of the carries for the Colts, as he is not currently in a committee. However, the source notes his injury history and the potential for the Ravens' defense to stack the box against him.

Insight page

Justin Jefferson

PositiveProjection27:05

Justin Jefferson is expected to have a huge game against the Packers, with the source viewing this as a potential bounce-back performance against a divisional rival.

Insight page

Kenneth Walker III

NegativeUsage35:36

The source highlights the need to observe how the team utilizes Kenneth Walker and Emmitt Johnson in the upcoming game.

Insight page

Kenyon Sadiq

NegativeInjury18:30

While Kenyon Sadiq is a first-round tight end with potential for a good year, he is coming off a hernia injury and may not be 100% for Week 1, so caution is advised.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

NegativeUsage33:28

There is uncertainty regarding Malik Nabers' snap count for Week 1 following his injury, making it a key situation to monitor for fantasy managers.

Insight page

Michael Mayer

PositiveSleeper29:28

With Brock Bowers missing multiple weeks, Michael Mayer is expected to start for the Raiders and could be a good tight end option for fantasy managers.

Insight page

Omarion Hampton

PositiveBreakout23:26

The Chargers are very excited about Omarion Hampton, and the source believes he is more talented than Achane and poised for a monster game in Mike McDaniel's offense.

Insight page

Parker Washington

PositiveUsage26:49

Parker Washington is expected to be the more consistent receiver for the Jaguars, operating over the middle of the field and likely leading the team in receptions.

Insight page

Pat Freiermuth

PositiveValue20:48

With Johnny Smith gone, Pat Freiermuth is expected to return to a more prominent role. The source recommends him as a value play in DFS and late-round draft formats.

Insight page

Patrick Mahomes

NegativeInjury35:27

The source expresses concern regarding Patrick Mahomes' health following a torn ACL, specifically questioning his mobility and whether he will be limited in the pocket.

Insight page

Rashee Rice

NegativeProjection35:19

The source identifies the game involving Rashee Rice as a fantasy-relevant and exciting matchup to watch.

Insight page

Romeo Doubs

NegativeBust11:41

The source expresses concern over Romeo Doubs' recent performance, specifically his uncharacteristic drop issues. Despite the struggles, the source suggests he could be a 'buy low' candidate now that he is the primary receiver due to A.J. Brown's injury.

Insight page

Travis Kelce

NegativeRole35:39

The source questions the physical condition of Travis Kelce, referencing his appearance in the preseason as looking 'old and fat'.

2:03So Walter Football, check it out. All right. Let's go to the match.
2:07Let's start with the latest news notes here. A couple of things.
2:10Where is Breaking Brad? I mean, this is what people love.
2:13They've been waiting for this. They've been waiting. They've been craving the voice, the vocal clarity that is Breaking Brad.
2:18We now have breaking news. It is with great urgency that we bring you these following messages.
2:23Listen, a couple of things in the news here I just want to highlight.
2:26First of all, those two games, I want to talk about them real, real quickly here.
2:31I was not liking what I was seeing out of Jadarian Price.
2:34I mean, his talent was good, but the fact that the offense was utilizing Helani on third and short.
2:39Not once, but twice. Like, dude, I was losing it.
2:42And he gets stuffed both times. So this is one thing I want to talk about in the news here when we're
2:48looking at fantasy football starts and sits. This is a trend, man.
2:51Like, even Christian McCaffrey, who I was saying stash Kalen Black.
2:54I was saying stash Kalen Black because I thought CMC was going to go down earlier and not even start the season.
3:00He's going to go down eventually. That's where I was thinking of starting him.
3:03But Kalen Black, I rushed the guy. Like, Kalen Black is being utilized.
3:07And then you talk about your guy that you like, Blake Corum.
3:10He was getting a lot of work as well.
3:12It seems like a trend that, like, they're trying to get rid of the running back workhorse.
3:17And it's kind of a pain in the butt, but this is what's happening.
3:21And then now we've got Ashton Gentry saying he's starting this week.
3:24I would not be surprised if I saw Mike Washington.
3:27And also in the news, since we're talking, I'm going off here.
3:30Jeremiah Love is, this is part of the news, is starting week one.
3:33And then I would not be surprised if I saw Algeo.
3:36What do you think of this trend, man? This is like full-on committee.
3:40Nobody's safe right now. I know. I know. There are a few guys who are safe, right?
3:44Probably like Jameer Gibbs and Bijon and James Cook and Charlie Hampton.
3:47But yeah, the rest of the guys are in the committee.
3:50You know, feel bad for the people who drafted a handcuff in the first round.
3:54Christian McCaffrey, who had 10 carries compared to Kalen Black's 16.
3:57Like, that is insane. McCaffrey had five catches, sure.
4:00But, you know, they're not. And I think it's actually smart with McCaffrey.
4:03Because he's 30. Like, you don't want to run to the ground after all the carries he had last year.
4:09And some of these other running backs, too. These injured guys.
4:12But, you know, when you get like, you know, a generic price.
4:15Like, his legs are fresh. Like, there's no reason to run George Halani.
4:18What I thought was even worse was they got into the red zone late in the game.
4:23And it was a tie game that could have gone to the touchdown.
4:26It was first down, Halani run. Second down, Halani run.
4:29And it's like, you just wasted two downs. You might as well just knelt down for two snaps.
4:34And just gone to third down straight away. Like, that was so stupid.
4:37Granted, it was his first game. So maybe, like, if I'm the offensive coordinator, I'm like, huh.
4:42And watching the tape, it's like, oh, this Halani guy kind of sucks.
4:45Let me run Price, you know. Maybe they'll figure it out.
4:48I don't know. I have my doubts. Yeah, Price was looking so good, too.
4:52And I just, I don't like this committee garbage.
4:54But we're starting to see more and more of that.
4:57But like you said, I think the four guys you mentioned are pretty safe.
5:01Robinson, Gibbs, Hampton, and Cook. I think they're kind of in the best situations.
5:05I also want to talk about the Dijon Striebling.
5:07It was a non-contact thing. It was his Achilles.
5:09Apparently, his Achilles was intact after week one. So that's good news for Striebling.
5:13As much as we like Striebling, and I think the talent is there, man, he looks like the fifth option.
5:18Like, I mean, you have Debo Samuel. He looked okay.
5:21He looked pretty good. You got Mike Evans, as long as he stays healthy.
5:25You got CMC. You got Black. Caleb Black looks good.
5:28And then you got George Kittle, right? Like, Striebling, unless Evans or Samuels go down right now, I'm looking at him as the fourth option, unfortunately.
5:35Yeah, you know what? I mean, we were drafting Striebling back in July in the 13th round, thinking like Evans is 33 and has hamstring histories.
5:42So like we thought he would go down at some point.
5:44And Debo is an older player, too. He would go down.
5:47Kittle come up with a torn Achilles. He would go down.
5:50Of course, we know CMC's injury history, too. Yeah.
5:53So we thought that, like, Striebling eventually would be the receiver one, kind of like last year with Emeko Buka in Tampa,
5:59because we thought Evans would go down. Godwin's already hurt.
6:01So that was that deal. Unfortunately, Striebling's the one that got hurt.
6:05You just can't predict these injuries. It's ridiculous. It's crazy.
6:07Yeah. Luckily, you know, his Achilles intact, like you said.
6:10So maybe he'll be back in a month or so, hopefully.
6:13But you saw Demarcus Robinson go off. He caught a touchdown.
6:16He actually led the Niners in receiving. Those are Striebling's reps, you know.
6:19Robinson came in because Striebling got hurt. So it's a shame because Striebling could have had a good game if he was the target of those passes.
6:26Definitely. And last thing in the news here, I want to check in on you.
6:30I posted a day or two ago. Checking in on the A.J.
6:34Brown. I know you had some A.J. Brown stock.
6:36How bad are your teams looking now at the A.J.
6:39Brown? And I know it was a lot of best, but what's your percentage on A.J.
6:43Brown ownership? It's not bad. It's 18%. It's not too terrible.
6:46It's going to be out for four weeks. But, like, the way I structure my best ball, I was drafting nine or ten receivers in every draft.
6:53And so it's just high upside guys who could beat out, you know, the top guys potentially.
6:58So I don't think it's like 18%. It's not too bad.
7:01The guy I'm worried about is Ramir Dubs. Like, I don't know what happened to him.
7:05Oh, yeah. I don't know if he has the yips or something, but, like, he was a good player in Green Bay.
7:11I don't know where this came from. Like, why he's dropping so many passes.
7:15But with Brown hurt, like, I feel like this is a great buy low.
7:18I mean, everyone's going to cut him, I think.
7:21So you want to pick him up, take a shot, because he's the receiver one now.
7:25I think that he's worth a look. Good point.
7:27Butterfingers Dobbs is what his new name is. Yeah.
7:30It's crazy. It's insane. I don't understand. He never did this in Green Bay.
7:34I don't know, like, why he's dropping so many passes.
7:36So I hope it's not the yips. All right.
7:39Let's get to the full breakdown here. Thank you, Breaking Brad.
7:42We now have breaking news. It is with great urgency that we bring you these following messages.
7:46He's ready. He's so urgent. All right. First matchup we got here, Bears versus the Panthers.
7:51Ready? We're talking preview predictions, fantasy relevance here. Let's break this down, man.
7:54I mean, Bears three-point favor here. They're looking good this, you know, this offseason with Luther Byrne.
7:59They got rid of DJ Moore. They look like they're going to be a good offense.
8:03Caleb Williams looking good at the end of last season.
8:06What are your thoughts on this matchup? Break it down.
8:08And then we've got, I think, what's his name?
8:11Brooks should be back from injury. Yeah. That might be, speaking committees, there's going to be another one with him and Hubbard.
8:16The worst unit in this game is Chicago's defense.
8:19So Carolina's offensive players might look good, like Tyrone McMillan.
8:22But unfortunately, the Panthers don't have that many offensive weapons.
8:24So this could be kind of an ugly game because the Panthers improve their defense a lot.
8:29They got Devin Lloyd. They got Jalen Phillips. And Chicago's offensive line I'm really worried about.
8:33But DeAndre Swift, he's the only guy right now because Kyle Mononga is hurt.
8:37So if the Bears get the lead, Swift is going to look good.
8:40You have Luther Burden. You have Roman Dunsday. All those are good options.
8:44Maybe Caleb Williams has one of these great fourth quarters.
8:46So it should be a good game. It should be pretty close.
8:50There are definitely some options you can look at here.
8:52Yeah. And obviously, Tett McMillan, Luther Burden definitely must start.
8:55Swift must start this week. I got no Swift stock.
8:58It's going to be interesting to see how he does this week.
9:01Again, go back a couple episodes. It's a full start to sit on the ease of the matchups for these guys.
9:07Ravens and Colts. It's going to be an interesting one here.
9:09We're going to see if Daniel Jones has fully recovered from the injury.
9:13Jonathan Taylor, what type of distribution? Alec Pierce, I think he's going to be good to go week one.
9:18Obviously, Tyler Warren and how much he's going to get implemented in that offense.
9:22So I'm going to look at the distribution of how it's going to be laid out.
9:26And Keenan Allen coming in as a pest. Are they going to utilize him?
9:30Because that really puts a thorn, I think, into Tyler Warren's production and also Alec Pierce.
9:34So I'm not really liking the addition of Keenan Allen there, Walter, at all.
9:38Yeah, it muddies everything for the middle of the field.
9:41That's where Allen operates. So you have, like, Josh Downs and Tyler Warren affected.
9:44I don't think Alec Pierce is affected. But Pierce, we don't know how healthy he is coming out with the ankle injury.
9:50So he could be a little bit limited. Jonathan Taylor, I mean, he's one of those guys who's not in a committee, like, at all.
9:57So he's going to be getting all the carries, for sure.
10:00But he has an injury history, too. And I kind of wonder if, like, Jones is showing nothing.
10:05The Ravens can stack the box. The Ravens have a great defense anyway.
10:08So I don't know how many opportunities there are for the Colts here.
10:12For the Ravens side of the ball, this is a new offense with their new center.
10:16Like, they lost one of the best centers in the NFL.
10:19The guy they got as a replacement, he's out, too.
10:21So they had to pick up someone on the scrap heap.
10:24So the offense, I think Lamar Jackson is going to have some regression this year.
10:28Derrick Henry, as well. He's an older player. They might mix in a couple of young guys, too, just keep them fresh,
10:34kind of like we saw at McCaffrey. So I think a lot of big names here.
10:39But they could be all underwhelming in this game.
10:41I think it's going to be a low-scoring game here.
10:44And, you know, the Colts could pull the upset if Jones is healthy.
10:47But we don't know that yet. Definitely. It's going to be interesting how it plays out.
10:51But, again, we're going to have to see if, you know, Jacoby Lane takes off this year.
10:56We talked about some sleepers here. And there is some sleepers getting integrated.
10:59But I'm seeing a lot of distribution across everywhere.
11:02I haven't seen anybody keyed in fully yet in the first two games we've seen.
11:06So we're going to be watching very closely in these situations.
11:09Next matchup, we have Falcons at Steelers. Steelers at the five-and-a-half point favorite here.
11:13And I don't see why. I guess maybe you could say it's a muddy quarterback situation with the Falcons.
11:18But we're going to be looking at a lot of Robins in this game.
11:21Drake London. Zachary Branch. We talked about wide receiver.
11:24It's actually two on the Falcons. How much usage he's going to get.
11:27And the Steelers, I think that they're a bit of a mess.
11:31I don't know. They're saying Warren's the starter. I don't believe in either one of those running backs as true workhorse running backs.
11:37I mean, this is a little high, I think.
11:39Right? Steelers five-and-a-half. I mean, it almost seems like Falcons seems like a no-brainer here to take the cover.
11:44Oh, I disagree. I don't think it's high enough.
11:47Atlanta is, they were going to start Tua Tungvalu.
11:49His brain is mush right now, fortunately. Like, he's had so many concussions.
11:52He was awful last year. And keep in mind, he had Mike McDaniel coaching him up.
11:57Like, now he's not going to have McDaniel aiding him.
11:59Atlanta's off its line declining. They lost the right tackles for retirement.
12:03But Tua got hurt. So the spread got high.
12:05It was three-and-a-half. It rose to five-and-a-half because Tua got hurt in practice.
12:09So he may not play. He has an oblique injury.
12:11If he plays, you have an injured, terrible quarterback.
12:14If he doesn't play, you have Cooper Rush. Joe, let me read you Cooper Rush's stats.
12:18I'm guessing it's not going to be good. His stats from the preseason game against the Broncos.
12:22This is not Patrick Sertain Broncos or Nick Bonito Broncos.
12:25This is the third-string Broncos. Cooper Rush, seven of 19 for 62 yards and two interceptions.
12:29That is what he did in the preseason game against third-string Denver.
12:33If he has to start against the Steelers' defense, it could get ugly.
12:36This could be like a 17-6 game or something ugly like that.
12:39There's really nothing in fantasy here. Pittman might be good in PPR.
12:43Metcalf. Atlanta has no pass rush. So this could be one of the few games Metcalf does well this year.
12:48I do like the Steelers' tight ends because Johnny Smith's gone.
12:51So Pat Fryman is going to get back to normal.
12:53So I was drafting Pat Fryman in the late round.
12:56So I think he's worth a look here in DFS and whatnot.
12:59But it's going to be really ugly for Atlanta.
13:02Steelers are not going to respect the pass at all.
13:04They don't need to. So they can stay close to the box.
13:08Everyone's going to be limited for Atlanta. Yeah. I mean, we can't deny the offensive weapons the Falcons have with Drake London
13:14and Robinson and some of these other guys. So, again, a big part of that, obviously, is quarterback play, like you said.
13:19So that's the situation here. This is going to be a weird one.
13:23I think it's going to be a weird game.
13:25I don't know. I have a feeling Falcons could surprise.
13:28Yeah. It could be 30-0 as well. The Steelers winning.
13:31I think Atlanta is one of the worst teams in the league.
13:34I want nothing to do with them. And I even tweeted or posted on X.
13:38I said, like, there could be generational wealth made betting against Tua this year.
13:42Wow. I think he's, like, the worst starting quarterback in the NFL.
13:45I'm not going to argue that for sure. Speaking of bad starting quarterbacks, how about the Browns and the Jags?
13:50Eight and a half. I see this line at seven and a half some places here.
13:55Browns at the Jags. Jags could be a very explosive offense.
13:57I'm still not sold on Tootin being a workhorse running back yet.
14:01But apparently he's going to be a 1A is what I'm hearing in that offense.
14:05So this is a situation where, again, the Browns, Deshaun Watson.
14:08Like, when was the last time we seen him out?
14:10Like, again, after all those massages and all that controversy and then Sanders and then now they drafted these two young receivers in Concepcion in Boston.
14:17We don't know who the one is. And Judkins coming off injury.
14:20And I don't know, man. Like, this is going to be a weird one.
14:24I don't know what to expect from the Browns.
14:27So, again, week one is going to be a telling tale on how is this going to fizzle out?
14:32What's going on here? Do you think the spread is too high?
14:35Jacksonville, eight and a half on the Browns? I made 11 and a half.
14:39So I don't think it's high enough. The Jaguars could destroy this team.
14:42I said to him, he was the worst starting quarterback in the NFL.
14:46That Sean Watson is going to give him a run for his money.
14:49But at least Watson has a functioning brain. Like, you know, Watson hasn't played in two years, though.
14:54The last time we saw him, he was getting blown out by the Bengals and he couldn't score against Cincinnati's defense.
15:00So that's how bad it was. And coming off the torn Achilles, a double torn Achilles.
15:04So I can't imagine him playing well. I do like the young guys on the Browns.
15:08There's going to be some growing pains. The first game, there could be some mistakes made, some wrong routes and whatnot.
15:14And that could lead to interceptions. And if you're doubting the Jaguars offense, they scored 34 on Denver in Denver late last year.
15:20That was when the Jaguars got going after the Jacoby Myers trade.
15:23And they were using Parker Washington. And they stopped using Travis Hunter, who didn't know where to line up.
15:28So, yeah, Jaguars could win this one easily. For those of you who play in Survivor, I think the Jaguars are a great play.
15:35Either them or the Chargers. They're the two best options.
15:37So, yeah, this one could get very ugly. Especially with the defense.
15:40I mean, Browns are going to – they got a good defense, Jacksonville, this year.
15:45So I think that's going to be a major issue for the Browns.
15:48The big question here is who's going to be the wide receiver?
15:51What is Brian Thomas Jr. going to step up?
15:54I think that's the biggest question I'm asking myself.
15:56Is he going to be the guy? This is going to be a telling tale.
16:00Or are we going to – I think we're just going to see a distribution of everywhere, similar to the first two games.
16:06Yeah, it would be interesting. I mean, he's the X.
16:09He's going to be going deep. And you have Parker Washington working underneath.
16:12So I think Washington is going to get, like, most of the receptions.
16:16But there's going to be some games where Thomas just catches a deep touchdown.
16:20So I think it's going to be inconsistent for Thomas.
16:22But Washington is going to be more consistent over the middle of the field.
16:26Next matchup here. We're going to rip right through these here.
16:29Bucs versus Bengals. Bengals minus four at home. Bucs, again, I'm really excited to see what Ibuka is going to do coming off that toe issue there.
16:36A lot of people were concerned for fantasy. But when you look at an offense where I think they're going to key
16:42in on somebody, I think he's good. I think Auten is going to get some work.
16:46Bucky Irving should be a solid start as well.
16:49When you look at the Bengals side of the ball, Chase Brown, is he going to prove to be elite where his high draft capital was in fantasy?
16:56We've got Jamar Chase, obviously going to be a very high draft capital guy.
17:00We're expecting a big game out of him. Can you break this matchup down?
17:04Thoughts? Well, the Buccaneers finished very poorly last year.
17:06They were 6-2. And then after that, they didn't cover the spread a single time.
17:10But what happened was Baker Mayfield got hurt. Emeka Bucca got hurt.
17:13The offensive line got hurt. It was a complete mess.
17:16And now everyone's healthy. So they should be able to score points.
17:19Cincinnati's defense is going to be better this year.
17:22Not going to be great or anything. Don't get me wrong.
17:25But they're going to be maybe middle of the pack.
17:27But I still think Tampa should score some points.
17:30It's going to be a nice matchup for everyone involved.
17:32You could stack this game in DFS easily. Although, I mean, these guys are pricey.
17:36But it's a crazy stat, though. Joe Burrow, in his career, he is 3-9 straight up in weeks 1 and 2.
17:42He just does not start well. And he's not like, OK, he's an underdog every game.
17:46He's only won three times out of 12. Like, he's been to favorite most of those games.
17:51So the Bengals just lose. So if you're like, oh, I'm going to take the Bengals and survivor, I would wait a little bit later for that.
17:58But, yeah, I mean, both these defenses are average at best.
18:01So you can play pretty much every big name from this game.
18:04Next matchup, Jets and Titans. Another one up in the air.
18:07I mean, if you look at it on paper, Geno Smith's got a phenomenal matchup against the Titans defense.
18:12Titans favored one and a half at home. We're going to see, you know, Tate, who, Carnell Tate, first round pick.
18:18Didn't do anything in preseason. I don't think he caught a ball.
18:21But Cam Ward, obviously, first overall pick last year.
18:23And, you know, so much talent here on paper.
18:26Is that going to translate on the field? And then the Jets, what's going on?
18:30Are we going to see some Kenyon Sadiq? First round pick at tight end.
18:34Garrett Wilson, Brees Hall. Like, there's so much to watch here from a fantasy perspective.
18:38But from a reality perspective, I mean, who knows who's going to win this one?
18:42Yeah, the teams that played their starters in the preseason, the two teams that looked the worst were the Titans and the Falcons.
18:48The Titans played against backups in every game. And they couldn't score against backups.
18:52Like, it was really sad. They might have the worst offensive line in the NFL.
18:56Like, Peter Scorronzi is a really good guard. The other guys just suck so much.
19:00They have some guy named Austin Schlottman starting at center.
19:02This is going to be a disaster for their blocking.
19:05Jets have a much better offensive line. So, if you want to gravitate toward that, like, I think some of these Jet players, like, with protection.
19:12Jim Smith had no protection last year. He's going to have protection.
19:15He's going to be able to find Garrett Wilson downfield.
19:18Brees Hall is going to get some good running lanes.
19:20I think those two guys mainly are what you're looking at in this game.
19:24Yeah, Sadiq might do some stuff. But he's coming off the hernia, so he may not be 100%.
19:29So, just, if you draft the Sadiq, I think you could have a really good year later.
19:34But for the first week, just be careful because of the injury.
19:37Just make sure you're looking at the injury reports.
19:39But, yeah, I think the Jets should be able to win this game.
19:43I think they're the better team. Next one, Lions and Saints.
19:46I got seven points here. Favorite for Lions at home.
19:4850 points is the over-under. So, it's going to be a relatively high-scoring game here.
19:52Shuff versus Shuff Ruff, Shuck, whatever you want to call him, versus Jared Goff.
19:56We got no Jordan Tyson. He's going to start the year on IR.
20:00What a waste. We've got, obviously, you know, Olave, who's going to have to step up.
20:04It's a relatively good matchup for him on paper, based on last year.
20:07But Gibbs should absolutely run wild. I mean, the backups are not even relevant.
20:11They've got to run him. I mean, Amandre, obviously, a must-start.
20:14I mean, what do you think of this here?
20:16I mean, I think it's going to be more than minus seven, I would say, for – I think they could blow out the Saints.
20:23They could. Just keep in mind, they play at Buffalo in four days, so they could be, like, eyeing that a little bit.
20:29Yeah, Jumir Gibbs, the number one option this week, obviously.
20:32But, like, in DFS, I would pay off for him.
20:35I mean, I think he's worth it. Jameson Williams and Amandre St.
20:38Brown both should be great. Sam Laporta should have a good game.
20:41The Saints have one of the weirdest things I've ever seen.
20:44I've never seen this before covering the NFL for 25-plus years.
20:47They have four healthy receivers on their roster. Most teams have six.
20:50They only have four, and one of them is a rookie kick returner.
20:54So, like, their only real receivers they have are Chris Olave, Devon Vele, and their fourth-round rookie, Lance, Bryce Lance.
20:59That's it for receivers. So, if you're playing DFS, like, there's going to be so much concentrated target share, especially if the
21:05Saints have to try to come back. Like, you could play Shuck or Shuff or whatever his name is with, like, two other receivers.
21:11I think Juwan Johnson, their tight end, should have a good game, too.
21:15And keep in mind, the Lions are missing both safeties to injuries.
21:18So, this could be a wild game. This could be, like, 42-38.
21:21Like, there could be a lot of fireworks in this game, especially, like, late with the Saints.
21:26And Shuck, Shuff, he can run a lot, too.
21:28I think you're looking, like, over rushing yards, live in-game.
21:31There's going to be a lot of opportunities to make money here, a lot of opportunities in DFS to play good options.
21:37This is going to be a crazy game, I think.
21:39All right, next one here, Bills at Texans. And I'm surprised this isn't higher, but the Bills obviously playing a tough defense in the Texans.
21:46You've still got to start Josh Allen, I think.
21:48James Cook. We're going to be watching. Things to watch.
21:51Obviously, DJ Moore. How much is he going to get targeted here?
21:54And the Texans. Is CJ Strote up to the task this year?
21:58That's a big question. Nico Collins must start. And then David Montgomery.
22:01Is it going to be a big split between him and Woody Marks?
22:04Things to watch. This is a very fantasy-relevant game.
22:07Yeah, Josh Allen got sacked eight times in this matchup last year.
22:10The Bills have really struggled in Houston. It's been their house of horrors.
22:13Like, they have not had any success here. I think in the previous matchup of 2024, Allen had, like, fewer than 100 yards.
22:20It was really ugly. But, yeah, you have to start Allen.
22:22You have to start Cook. You have to start the main guys, DJ Moore, despite Houston's great defense.
22:27What I'm looking at for Houston is David Montgomery rushing.
22:30I think that he's going to be the workhorse.
22:32And I think that, like, for him to get 70-plus rushing yards, it's like plus 180 on Fandle.
22:37I think that's worth it because Buffalo's defense, they were number two against the pass last year.
22:42They were number 31 against the run. And they didn't really do anything to improve that.
22:46But, yeah, so Montgomery's going to have a better offensive line in front of him than Woody Marks did last year.
22:52The Texans made some good upgrades. So I think Montgomery could have a really good game.
22:56Yeah, and I would think that Montgomery signed on knowing that he's going to be the workhorse because he was in the Jameer Gibbs shadow.
23:03Understandably so because Jameer Gibbs is phenomenal. But I would assume when he signed on, he's like, dude, like, I want the RB1 spot.
23:09So I think that's what he signed, you know, on the handshake or something like that.
23:13Like, I got to be the one. So I think that's why he's going to see a lot of volume.
23:19So that was a good point. Now, this game I'm super excited about.
23:22Tons of fantasy relevance. I think it's a phenomenal matchup for Omarion Hampton.
23:26I actually saw a post. I think it was on the Chargers page saying he's a bad man.
23:30So they just featured, you know, Omarion Hampton in a bunch of images.
23:34Like, it sounds like the Chargers are super excited about him.
23:37And I'll see a lot of people in the comments, too, diving in.
23:40You know, he's going to go off in a Mike McDaniel offense.
23:44And I think he's just so much more talented than Achein.
23:47Higher draft capital guy. I think Achein was a second or third round pick in a better offense.
23:51Dude, I'm just so excited about this. And then Jeremiah Love getting the start.
23:55I do think we're going to see some Algier, which will annoy me.
23:59But I don't know if that's just based on just, you know, they're going to, like, kind of work.
24:04Jeremiah Love it after that little injury there. So maybe we're going to see some more Algier than we want in week one.
24:10But, dude, I'm excited. And another thing to watch, obviously, is the receivers for the Cardinals.
24:14Is Marvin Harrison Jr. going to come in with a splash?
24:17That's something else to watch. And also the distribution with the Chargers.
24:20Like, are they going to use Trey Harris? How much Quinton Johnson, Gaddis, is he going to be used?
24:25How much Lad McConkie? So this game is so fantasy relevant.
24:28And I'm so excited because I'm so invested in this game.
24:31I'm excited, dude. Yeah, there could be some fireworks from the Chargers in this game.
24:35I had Evan Daniel on my live stream on Thursday night.
24:38And he was saying that, like, he made a good point.
24:41He's like, if I'm Mike McDaniel, I'm just going nuts here just to prove a point.
24:45And they could be up in the fourth quarter by 30 and they could still be throwing.
24:50It kind of reminds me, there was a Jaguar-Jets game last year where the Jaguars are up by 30 points and Trevor
24:56Lawrence is still throwing like crazy in the fourth quarter because Liam Cohen was upset that the Jets didn't interview him for the job.
25:02So, like, Mike McDaniel could be pissed off after getting fired.
25:05He wants to prove that, like, hey, I actually have a good quarterback now.
25:09Like, I got the most out of Tua. Now I have Justin Herbert.
25:12Like, Herbert could have a monster game. Hampton's going to have a monster game.
25:16I actually like Charlie Kohler, tight end from the Chargers.
25:19I think he could be an underrated sleeper if you're looking at DFS, like, a really cheap option.
25:24I think that he's worth a look. And the other receivers, too.
25:27I think McConkie's going to bounce back. Quinn Johnson could catch a deep pass.
25:31With the Cardinals, they could be pretty limited for most of the game.
25:34There could be some garbage time in the fourth quarter like we saw last year.
25:38I wouldn't start Jeremiah Love this game just because I worry that, like, coming off the high ankle sprain, I think they're
25:44going to mix in a lot of Algier. And they're not going to have a lead in the fourth quarter for him to run anyway.
25:51So, like, I think Love could have a great season.
25:53But this game I would be concerned about. So it really depends on who else you have.
25:58If you have garbage, don't start garbage over Love.
26:00But, like, if you drafted your core four, then you should have some other good running backs to play instead of Love this week.
26:07Whereas, like, next week and beyond, you could play Love.
26:09So that's the only thing I worry about there.
26:12But, yeah, Chargers should be able to take care of Arizona pretty easily.
26:15Packers versus Vikings, another exciting game here. I mean, again, I'll be watching Christian Watson like a hawk if he even finishes game one with injury.
26:22Now, it is week one. So all these guys that we think are going to go down, the Mike Evans for the
26:2849ers, the Christian McCaffrey for the 49ers, you know, all these guys have shown injuries in the past.
26:33I'm not surprised they got through week one. So I would not be surprised if Watson gets through week one.
26:38But I'll be looking at Matthew Golden here. It is a tougher matchup on paper, a little bit defensively.
26:43Vikings can't step it up here. And, again, Vikings, I have just no interest in these guys.
26:48Kyler Murray, how is he going to do? So I'm surprised Vikings are favored here.
26:52I really do at the 1.5. I would not be surprised if Packers win this game.
26:56Oh, wow. Okay. I think Minnesota is a great matchup in this game.
27:00They've really frustrated Jordan Love over the years. Like, Love has had some of his worst games against Minnesota.
27:05So I – and the Packer offense line looks like a disaster right now.
27:09Like, their left tackle is a bust, first-round bust from a couple years ago.
27:12The right tackle is actually a really good player.
27:15He's out with blood clots. So, like, you have two tackles who stink.
27:18And then they have no pass rush either. Like, Green Bay's top pass rusher is either Lucas Van Ness or someone named Baron Sorrell.
27:25Like, this team is not going to get any pressure on Murray.
27:28I think that, like, you know, Murray is going to be playing – I'm not a big fan of him at all as a player.
27:35But, like, he's so much better than J.J. McCarthy.
27:37Everyone is. And then that Minnesota offensive line is going to be much better than what he had in Arizona.
27:42There's going to be no pass rush in this game.
27:45I think Justin Jefferson is going to have a huge game, like, coming off a bad year.
27:50I think this could be, like, vindication for him just to bounce back against a divisional rival.
27:54I think Minnesota takes care of Green Bay easily.
27:57Yeah, very possible. Battle of the bottom. The battle of the bottom here.
28:00Dolphins and the Raiders, man. This is going to be an interesting matchup.
28:03We've got so much to watch here. And then Kirk Cousins, is he going to step up?
28:08You draft Mendoza first overall, and then you just, like, bench him.
28:11Like, that to me bothers me because you're saying, we believe in you, but we don't believe in you.
28:16So that's a huge issue here. I understand Kirk Cousins is a veteran.
28:20He's working under Kirk Cousins. Dude, start your start.
28:22Have some faith in your guy. And then, obviously, the Raiders, we don't know who the wide receiver one is.
28:28Brock Bowers missing multiple weeks, which, again, I'm happy that I didn't draft him, you know, because I always wait on tight end.
28:34Everyone drafted him second round. They're like, okay, now he's out.
28:37Trey Tucker could step up. Who's going to be, who's going to step up?
28:40And then Mike Washington, we're going to look at that split.
28:43I think he's going to get some more work with people expect, partly because he did well in preseason, partly because Jente's
28:49coming off a little bit of an injury. So there's so much to watch here.
28:53And the Dolphins, actually, and how's he going to do in the offense?
28:57So much fantasy relevance, but such crappy teams. Like, I don't know what to say.
29:01This is why fantasy is so important. Like, I don't think anybody realistically back in the day would watch two bottom feeder
29:07teams like this, other than their loyal fan bases.
29:09But because of the fantasy relevance, dude, I'm tuning in.
29:12Oh, yeah. Can't wait to watch this. So, yeah, it's a lot of, like, question marks.
29:16You have Bowers, we got rug pulled. Everyone who drafted him kind of feel bad.
29:20The insiders sat on it for a week, too.
29:22There's so much shadiness there, by the way. Michael Mayer could be one of these good tight end options.
29:28He's going to be starting for the Raiders. I like Trey Tucker.
29:31I think he has more upside than Jalen Naylor is just a slot receiver.
29:34And, yeah, there's going to be a split in the backfield because Janty's coming off the injury.
29:39And Mike Washington looked terrific in the preseason. So good.
29:42Yeah. So it's kind of like Kaelin Black. Like, they're going to have to get him involved just because he's that good.
29:48Miami, you have, like, clearer things because, like, we know A-Chan is the guy.
29:51Like, they're going to give him a ton of work there.
29:54I'm interested to see how Malik Willis looks. He looked really good in the preseason.
29:58But in practice, we heard some bad things. I really want to see the rookie receivers, too.
30:03Like, Caleb Douglas and Chris Bell. These guys have a lot of upside.
30:06They're both big. They're both athletic. Charlie Campbell is the most accurate draft analyst on the planet.
30:11He compared Chris Bell to DK Metcalf. Like, that's sort of upside.
30:14Bell has come off the injury, but he played in the third preseason game.
30:18And there's a chance that he's the receiver, too, with Caleb Douglas being the receiver one.
30:22So, I really want to see how these guys play.
30:25And it's a good matchup. The Raiders' defense is not anything special at all.
30:29They added to their linebackers. But there could be some good points in this game.
30:33I'm excited to watch it. So am I, man.
30:35Super pumped. Eagles, Commanders, divisional game. Five-and-a-half point favorite.
30:37Eagles at home. This one makes sense why they'd be the favorite.
30:41But sometimes we see these divisional games get really gritty, really tough, and closer than we think.
30:45So, Commanders, obviously Daniel is going to watch him.
30:48And who's going to be the wide receiver one there with the Commanders?
30:51I mean, it's obviously going to be McLaurin. I know you like him, but how much volume is he going to see?
30:57And then JCM, is he going to step up?
30:59Ja'Cory Kroski at running back. And then Eagles, obviously Barker, we're going to see a lot of him.
31:04Lemon, Mikhail Lemon, are we going to see a lot of him?
31:07Is he going to step up? So, a lot of question marks here now with the new offense without A.J.
31:13Brown. Goddard, a lot of people excited about him.
31:15Getting a lot of work. Devontae Smith, does he take the wide receiver one role?
31:19So many question marks here with this game as well.
31:22A lot of fantasy football uncertainty, I would say.
31:24Yeah, Joe, you gave me a wellness check on A.J.
31:27Brown. I think that if Devontae Smith goes down, then you're going to be concerned.
31:31Devontae Smith, I liked a lot. I think he has a big year.
31:34I think Dallas Goddard has a big year. I think they both have huge games.
31:38Jalen Hurst is my QB one this week. So, Washington's defense.
31:41Me too. Yeah, he's a complete mess. Washington's defense, complete mess.
31:44They drafted Sonny Stiles in the first round. He's looked awful in the preseason.
31:48I was surprised. I thought he'd be great, but he's looked terrible in the preseason.
31:52Washington, they can't function offensively. Their offensive line is a disaster, at least in practice.
31:56Now, that kind of makes me want to play these guys just because you hear a lot of downsides.
32:01They still have talent. I do think McLaurin could have some good action and garbage time.
32:05Jane Daniels and garbage time. These guys could produce.
32:08But this one could get ugly. We'll see. The spread has skyrocketed because Washington has a lot of injuries, especially on defense.
32:14So, the Eagles should be able to score pretty easily.
32:16Yeah, man. I'm excited about this game. I got Jalen Hurst starting in my big money league.
32:21So, sign me up for a big week for Jalen Hurst.
32:24All right. Cowboys at Giants. Another divisional game here.
32:26Cowboys three-point favorite on the road. Obviously, guys to watch.
32:29Cam Scadaboo from Fantasy Relevant. CeeDee Lamb. Pickens. I talked about fading pickens.
32:32We're going to look at that distribution. Does CeeDee Lamb reign as the alpha wide receiver one?
32:37Or is it going to be an even split?
32:39Javante. Got a lot of Javante stock. Love to see how much work he's going to get.
32:44There really isn't anybody behind there that I feel is going to threaten him in regards to taking away that volume, especially near the goal line.
32:51So, a lot of fantasy relevance here. Malachi Fields, another sleeper slated as the two.
32:55And Malik Neighbors, is he going to come in and just right out of the gate be good after that injury, be solid in regards to production?
33:02So much fantasy relevance in this game. And we're looking at, like, primetime.
33:06When is this game? Is it like the 8 o'clock slate one?
33:09Yeah, it's Sunday night. Yeah. Sunday night. So, yeah, man.
33:12I'm excited that this game is Sunday night. If I were to choose any game to be Sunday night, I'm glad it's
33:17this one because we got so much fantasy relevance.
33:20And, dude, I'm excited about this one. You don't want Falcon Steelers Sunday night?
33:24No, definitely not. Yeah. No, yeah. I can't wait to see how many snaps Malik Neighbors plays.
33:28Like, is he going to play the whole game or is he going to be 50%?
33:32That's going to be really interesting. Cam Scadabo bouncing back from the injury.
33:36Like, how do they utilize him? I like Scadabo a lot this year.
33:39And I think he could have a good game here at Jackson Dart, too.
33:43Assuming he avoids the blue tent, you know, because he's there half the time.
33:47But, you know, the Cowboys defense is – don't think that this is that Cowboys defense from last year.
33:52Yeah, last year. So, they've made a lot of improvements.
33:55So, they're going to be middle of the pack or so.
33:58So, this is not, like, an easy matchup for the Giants.
34:00But it's not a difficult one either. So, you could play all these guys for sure.
34:05I do want to see Malik I feel as well.
34:07Dallas, they have a better matchup. Giants defense is not anything special.
34:11They have some good pass rushers. That's about it.
34:13So, yeah, they just scored a lot of points.
34:15By the way, you know, the last time the Giants beat the Cowboys when Dallas played as starting quarterback for the entire game was 2016.
34:22It's been 10 years since they beat them. Yeah, it's crazy.
34:25They beat them twice in that span. But both times, Dallas played as backups in the final week of the season.
34:31So, they're facing a history here. They haven't touched Dallas in a long time.
34:34A lot of these games have been blowouts, too.
34:37So, maybe this will be a blowout as well.
34:39You could say they're due, though, right? They're due.
34:42Yeah. Last one here. I think it'll be entertaining.
34:44The Chiefs versus the Broncos. Chiefs at home, minus three favorite.
34:47Broncos, obviously, Bo Nix. Something to watch. Sutton. Is Waddle going to step in at that wide receiver one role?
34:52Are we going to see some Pat Bryant at wide receiver as a sleeper?
34:56How much distribution? I mean, we already know it's a committee going in with those Broncos running backs.
35:01Dobbins, I would assume, would start. We're going to see some R.J.
35:04Harvey as well. The Chiefs. Kenneth Walker. Is he going to perform on a high level?
35:08Something to watch. Are we going to see some Emmitt Johnson?
35:11I think, again, we see these rookie running backs coming in.
35:14The Mike Washington. The Kalon Black stepping into these roles and taking away a ton of volume.
35:19I think it'll be a committee there. Man. Rashi Rice.
35:22What's going to happen there? Another fantasy-relevant game and another exciting one.
35:25I think it'll be an entertaining one for sure.
35:27Yeah. How's Mahomes going to look off the torn ACL?
35:30That's huge. Is he healthy? Can he run around?
35:32Or is he limited in the pocket? That's going to be enormous for this game.
35:36Yeah. How do they utilize Kenneth Walker and Emmitt Johnson?
35:39That's big, too. Does Travis Kelsey look old and fat like he looked in the preseason?
35:43We'll see. And Denver, you talk about rookie running backs coming out of nowhere.
35:47Jonah Coleman could be a guy who gets some carries.
35:50It was really interesting what they did, Denver, in the preseason.
35:53They gave Coleman three carries in the first game, and they took him out.
35:56They're like, we don't need to see you anymore.
35:59You're that good. Could he usurp J.K. Dobbins right away?
36:01Kind of like blacked it with McCaffrey? We'll see.
36:04That'll be really interesting, too. And as far as the winner of this game, this is a wild stat, Joe.
36:09What's that? Sean Payton, since he came back from his suspension in 2012, since 2013, he is 3-20 against the spread in weeks one and two.
36:16This guy just does not prepare his teams well.
36:19And people are betting Denver. Denver is the most bet team this week by the public.
36:23I'm like, you guys don't know this stat that Payton is awful in weeks one and two.
36:27By contrast, Andy Reid in week one, seven and four against the spread with the Chiefs.
36:32He prepares his team well. So I'm looking at the Chiefs here.
36:35It's a win. Now, the Chiefs don't win by a lot in most games.
36:39They usually win by three. So if you have minus three, it's not great.
36:42But so if you want to bet the Chiefs, I'll try to get minus two and a half.
36:47Yeah. I think that's it, Walter. We've got them all covered here.
36:50Listen, we're going to do this, I think, every Friday.
36:53I think it's important that we do this. So make sure you guys turn on the bell, subscribe.
36:58You don't want to miss these. And we're going to bring Walter football back on.
37:02Walter, how excited are you about week one, man?
37:04I'm like giddy about it. It feels like, I mean, as we get adults, we become adults.
37:09We kind of know that Santa, you know, we don't want to ruin it for the people that still believe in him.
37:15Santa may not be showing up, right? But we got excited as kids.
37:18But now this is kind of our Christmas, isn't it?
37:21As soon as me, I was expecting Santa to come.
37:24No, no, it is. It is. It's, you know, we're recording this 12, 17 p.m.
37:28on Friday. And that means that the NFL in 48 and a half hours will be on for week one.
37:33I can't wait. It's going to be a lot of fun.
37:36So many games going on. We don't have these like stupid Australia game where the Rams don't even bother to show up.
37:42Or it's terrible. Yeah, they traveled. The guys, I heard a great point, by the way.
37:46These guys came in 24 hours beforehand. Some people can't sleep on planes.
37:50So like these guys probably didn't sleep at all in the past two days.
37:53And they're trying to play a football game. So that was a very stupid move by the Rams.
37:58But anyway, in the Patriots, Seahawks, we had injuries on both sides.
38:01Darnold and Brown go down. But yeah, I mean, we're going to have so much good action.
38:06Can't wait for these games. I'm so excited. Dude, I'm so pumped.
