Allen is banged up heading into the Week 4 matchup against New England, adding some uncertainty to his availability and performance.PositiveProjectionSep 30, 2026
Allen is a consistent touchdown vulture; his anytime touchdown odds at minus 115 are underpriced and should be closer to minus 200 every week given his propensity to score near the goal line and on sneaks.PositiveProjectionSep 30, 2026
Josh Allen is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL and has been incredible for the Bills; the source contrasts his performance with Drake May's struggles, noting Allen's excellence as a reason to back the Bills against the Patriots.PositiveProjectionSep 29, 2026
Josh Allen delivered an MVP-caliber performance in the Bills' win over the Chargers, including a late-game fourth-and-seven scramble where he stayed up and flipped the ball to Ty Johnson for what would have been a touchdown (called back for a first down). The source notes Allen 'does the other Josh Allen stuff' by saving games with his legs and creativity, even when he's making mistakes early. This demonstrates the margin for error the Bills' offense now has under Joe Brady.PositiveProjectionSep 25, 2026
The source bet Josh Allen at 50-to-1 odds for offensive player of the year this week. The context is that the Bills offense is 'destroying worlds right now' and has allowed only 30 points in both games; historically, teams that allow 62+ points in a 2-0 start have had an MVP/offensive player of the year winner.PositiveProjectionSep 22, 2026
Josh Allen is a strong bet for offensive player of the year at 50-1 odds; his eyes are drawing all the attention right now, which is allowing other players like Tyler Shuck to fly under the radar.PositiveProjectionSep 22, 2026
On pace for almost 5,000 passing yards and 77 touchdowns through two games; Brandon Kravitz backs Josh Allen at 50-1 odds for Offensive Player of the Year, citing historical precedent from the 1991 Bills (Thurman Thomas), 2000 Rams (Marshall Faulk), and 2018 Chiefs (Patrick Mahomes)—all MVP/OPOI winners on elite offenses that allowed 30+ points in both early games. Allen's pace is extraordinary even accounting for small sample size.PositiveUsageSep 16, 2026
The source notes the Bills have 'unleashed' Allen with a strong offensive line, leading to a 9.6 yards per first down average and the highest explosive play rate in the league last week; he remains an MVP-caliber player whose tendencies are to hit the open man.PositiveProjectionSep 15, 2026
The source emphasizes that Josh Allen's performance against Houston was a result of his unique elite ability, noting he has a career-long tendency to dominate even strong defenses.PositiveProjectionSep 15, 2026
The source describes Josh Allen as the 'best player in the world' after he diced up the Texans' defense, noting his ability to make elite throws that almost no other quarterback can replicate.NegativeUsageSep 11, 2026
Matt Rogers expects Josh Allen to contribute some rushing explosives via scrambles, but notes the Bills lack top-tier wide receivers to consistently beat the Texans' defense downfield in the passing game.NegativeMatchupSep 11, 2026
Matt Rogers is betting the under on the Bills-Texans game, noting that Josh Allen has historically struggled against Houston's man-coverage defense. Allen's dropback success rate in his last two games against Houston ranked 35th and 36th out of his 37 games.NegativeMatchupSep 9, 2026
Matt Rogers highlights that Josh Allen has struggled historically against the Texans, holding a 1-4 record (0-4 in Houston) and facing a defense that has effectively used cover-one looks and spies to limit his success.PositiveProjectionSep 8, 2026
Matt Rogers identifies Josh Allen as his number one quarterback, though he remains concerned about the Bills' overall team structure and coaching.NegativeValueSep 4, 2026
Josh Allen is priced higher than the combined cost of betting on both Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes, making him a less attractive value proposition for MVP betting.NegativeProjectionSep 4, 2026
Ayo ranks Allen 4th at +650, calling him the most valuable player to his team but noting his stats have declined under Joe Brady's run-heavy scheme. Ayo is concerned about the Bills' defense and a difficult opening schedule, making him a 'no bet' for now.PositiveProjectionSep 1, 2026
The source cites Josh Allen as a primary reason for the Bills' high win total expectations, which makes it difficult for their coaching staff to win Coach of the Year.PositiveProjectionAug 25, 2026
Brandon Anderson ranks the Bills second, noting that while Allen's efficiency dipped to 10th in passing DVOA last year, he remains a reliable floor-raiser. The offense is built around his skill set, though Anderson worries that the run-heavy play calling under Joe Brady may artificially cap his ceiling.PositiveProjectionAug 24, 2026
Allen has been the number one quarterback statistically in the playoffs since 2020; the Bills' playoff losses have not been due to Allen's performance but rather defensive breakdowns allowing 33, 32, 27, 27, 42, and 38 points—never fewer than 27. The new aggressive defensive scheme under Jim Leonard is designed to address this weakness.PositiveProjectionAug 18, 2026
Brandon Anderson ranks Josh Allen as the number one quarterback for 2026, citing his physical tools and improved decision-making. While acknowledging the lack of a Super Bowl, Anderson argues Allen has been great individually in the playoffs and that his team's defensive failures are not his fault.
