0:00Future's now open! I'm awesome guys, I appreciate you guys having me on, I know we talked about it a little bit
0:07beforehand, you know, with you guys being West Coast, I'm East Coast, but it's nice we found some time to link up,
0:15so I'm happy to be here, I'm glad you guys have me on, man, ready to talk some football with you guys.
0:22Yeah man, absolutely, it's great to have you here, we really appreciate you staying up to the wee hours of the morning
0:29here so that we could all hop on a pod and talk some, we're gonna talk about some Dynasty Landmines, you know,
0:36some fades, which is, you know, not everyone's favorite topic, but Wolf, you were brave enough to come on and do all
0:44this with us, so I guess before we get into that, let's give you a little introduction here, man.
0:50You are a writer for PlayerProfiler, you're dropping articles all the time, man, I'm making sure to throw them down on the
0:57X, so if you guys are looking for them, you can find them there or you can find him.
1:04Where can they find you, Wolf? No, yeah, appreciate it man, yeah, I'm with you guys over at PlayerProfiler, and you can
1:11also find my work at Fantasy Pros and Dynasty Football Factory as well, so I'm doing stuff for all three sites, cranking
1:18out content like you talked about, and yeah, you can find all my work on X, Dynasty FF Wolf, I'm also on
1:25Blue Sky as well, same thing, you can search for Dynasty FF Wolf, you'll find me on there.
1:31But yeah, man, just cranking them out and, you know, excited to start getting on the camera with you guys and, you
1:39know, start doing some of this on air too, so add a little bit more to the repertoire here.
1:45Yeah, man, you look good, man, you look good, you sound good, so, you know, maybe this is your second calling, but
1:52let's do it, let's get this thing done and on with.
1:56But first, we're going to shout out our roster review services.

2:40of the league now on the podcast, and we got another half to go.
2:44So stay tuned in for that. You can also find us on anywhere you get your podcasts, Spotify, Apple Pods, follow, rate the show.
2:52We love you guys. And shout out to Fox, who's been helping us with all of our graphics.
2:58She's always killing it. You can follow her all the time, man.
3:02Follow her on X at BFoxworth07. All right, guys, we're going to talk about those Dynasty landmines.
3:08But first, we're going to do a little bit of a quick hit.
3:12You guys ready? Let's do it. Let's do it.
3:15All right. We wanted to defer to Wolf since this was his first time back on camera for a while now.
3:22I said, hey, Wolf, you got anything on your mind, man, that you've been wanting to chop it up and talk about?
3:29And what'd you tell me, Wolf? So I wanted to run this by you guys, right?
3:35There's been a big discourse in the fantasy community right now with Jonathan Brooks, Chuba Hubbard, that whole situation.
3:41And Jonathan Brooks is getting steamed up a ton right now.
3:45You know, there's a lot of sharp guys out there.
3:48I know Podfather is one of them. He loves Jonathan Brooks.
3:52He's been talking about him a lot. But I feel like we've kind of jumped the shark a little bit here, guys.
3:59And I want your thoughts on this. You know, taking a look at some ADPs, Brooks has basically caught up to Chuba in some areas.
4:07He's actually surpassed him on KTC as RB31. Chuba's RB32.
4:10Player Profiler, we still have him behind Hubbard a couple spots.
4:14But he's not far off, right? So I just kind of want to get your guys' thoughts on Brooks and kind of his future.
4:22Because it's kind of just witchcasting right now, right?
4:25Like, to me, he's an expensive Marshawn Lloyd. We haven't seen anything yet since he's been a pro.
4:31And now we're talking about, you know, mid-RB3 prices.
4:34You know, I'm out at that, right? But I want to get your guys' thoughts on Chuba, on Brooks, and kind of
4:41where you guys are at with that right now.
4:44Yeah. I mean, we're looking at him here on Fantasy Calc, which we got Chuba Hubbard at RB28, Jonathan Brooks at RB32.
4:51So real similar to what KTC has. Because, yeah, I don't know, man.
4:56Like, this whole backfield in general, I just, I don't really want a lot to do with.
5:01But if I had to make a bet on one of them, Jonathan Brooks has that upside, you know, I guess just
5:09because we don't, we haven't really seen it from him yet in a full season.
5:14So I think he'd be my bet just for a shot on the upside here, especially at a similar price.
5:20But, Jose, where are you thinking about this, man?
5:23Yeah. I mean, when Wolf said this was going to be the topic, I was kind of hoping he was going to
5:30be on the other side just so we could get a little bit of interesting back and forth.
5:36But not as soon as he started talking, I was right along with him.
5:41I can't really understand it. It's been two catastrophic knee injuries back to back.
5:46So we're not talking about rehabbing from one and seeing how that happens.
5:50We're talking about a second one. He hasn't played meaningful football besides, what was it?
5:55Was it a game, a half a game in over two years, right?
5:59He's got nine carries since 2023. So it's just like, I get it.
6:04People are so hungry and desperate. And I mean, I also agree with you, J.
6:09Mack. I don't really want anything to do with him.
6:12I don't think Chubo Hubbard's worth much. I think he could start the season and maybe be more substantial of a player
6:19that you could maybe turn into like a third or second or something if he really pops off.
6:25But he just doesn't really feel like that's what he's got left at the tank, seeing as how Rico Dowdle kind of
6:32took his job in the middle of the season there when he was kind of banged up.
6:38So just in general, I just don't think there's a ton to be gained there unless, you know, the thought is that
6:45the Panthers are going to become a top tier offense.
6:49And then so Jonathan Brooks is just going to fall into the end zone a ton of times, which I mean, they also have A.J.
6:57Dillon, Quadzilla for I mean, I think they signed him, but they didn't pay him a ton of money.
7:03He's probably could also usually be cut. I mean, I think he paid him like a million and a half.
7:10So it's not like he's anywhere near sticking around there.
7:13So I just think it's just going to be a not great for fantasy production.
7:18Like I would be surprised if either guy play enough to be a solid RB to even, you know, crack the top 24 next season.
7:26So it's just not something I'm really interested in.
7:29I think also people should take themselves back two years ago.
7:33And what was that running back class like and what was Brooks projected to be back then?
7:38I think some people have kind of just forgotten.
7:41They're like, hey, this guy, you know, he's 22 and he's going to potentially be a starter.
7:47Like, isn't that exciting? And it's like, well, I mean, his profile didn't it wasn't exciting when he was coming out.
7:54Right. Like it was not something that a lot of people were particularly excited about.
7:59So, yeah, I think I'm on, you know, pretty much lockstep with with Wolf here on this one.
8:05And you to some extent, J-Mac, like I just don't think there's much fantasy value to be gained.
8:11I was literally searching for this the entire time on the player profile.
8:15The Jonathan Brooks season stats is so small. I just skipped over like nine times.
8:20It's three games played, nine rush attempts, 22 yards, 2.4 yards per carry.
8:24We really have not seen Jonathan Brooks. No, no.
8:27And so here's the other thing, too, right? And he was kind of a one year wonder, right?
8:33He had less than 200 rushing yards his first two years at Texas.
8:38Now, I get it. He was behind Bijan. OK, so, you know, that take that for what it's worth.
8:44But he just had the one good year and we haven't seen anything since.
8:49And I will say this, too. I was doing an article.
8:52And by the time this comes out, it should be already out on player profiler where I was touching on strength of schedule, you know, for different positions.
9:02And by all accounts, everywhere I've checked, the Carolina Panthers have the worst strength of schedule in the NFL this year for running backs.
9:09Right. So there's a good chance that Chuba and Brooks just could both struggle this year and might not be anything, you
9:17know, maybe more than like back end RB twos, you know, flex options, something like that.
9:22The best case scenario for Brooks, you know. So but but yeah, I just you know, I just thought it was interesting
9:29that he's getting steamed up so much, you know, especially, you know, to those prices.
9:34And I just can't believe that, you know, we haven't seen anything yet with him being injured for the last two years.
9:42Yeah, it's definitely interesting, you know, player profiler as best compared to Tony Pollard, which, you know, maybe is a reasonable comp.
9:49I mean, it seems like a similar career trajectory.
9:52You know, Tony Pollard was at least playing. Right.
9:55Just was second fiddle to Zeke. And yeah, we just haven't seen it from Jonathan Brooks.
10:00What I remember about him coming in as a college prospect was that he had pretty good pass catching chops and he
10:07was a rather explosive back on top of that.
10:10But yeah, I mean, we just haven't seen it come together to ACL tears later.
10:15And now we're looking at him hoping for him to come around.
10:19And yeah, I like it. Wolf, I think I think then both being RB2s is probably a reasonable take, especially I think
10:27that Panthers offense is going to want to lean on the run this year, you know, to try and hide the shortcomings
10:34from Bryce Young and what he has. Emphasis on short.
10:37Emphasis on short. Yeah, that's right. That's right. Nice.
10:40Good call. Yeah. So I don't know, man. I mean, the price is is not terrible, like like a second and Hunter
10:47Henry for Jonathan Brooks, like give me Jonathan Brooks in that case.
10:51Jonathan Brooks in a second for Daniel Jones in a 12 team super flex.
10:56Super flex. I probably I'd probably land, you know, take take Jones there.
11:00But I think I would, too. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
11:03This. It's a tough one. He's definitely a guy that I want to get in a startup rather than like make a
11:11trade for because it feels like the cost is probably a little too prohibitive in an already established league.
11:17But I mean, in a startup, I think you can grab him and like an 11th or 12th round here.
11:23I mean, I don't know how how much like how close people trade with in, you know, in terms of rankings.
11:30But in all these rankings, Blake Corum is valued like 10 spots or so below Jonathan Brooks.
11:36I mean, on player profiles, exactly 10 spots. Fantasy Calc, he's like about three or four spots.
11:42Like I'd much rather have like Corum than Jonathan Brooks.
11:45I mean, if you go do that deal straight up based on this sort of hype, I would easily do that.
11:52I think at least I mean, we've seen Blake Corum be good in the NFL.
11:57And if he's in a 50 50 timeshare and one of the best offenses, the moment Kyra Williams, something happens to him,
12:04he's all of a sudden, you know, I don't think there's another guy to split time with.
12:10So I don't know, in terms of taking shots of who could score the most points, I would be on the Blake
12:17Corum side over Jonathan Brooks over the entirety of the season.
12:21So I don't know. I think those are, you know, and they're equally close in age, I think.
12:27So your cat hates that take. I know. All right.
12:30Any last words before we wrap this up and hear some words from the Podfather guys?
12:35None. I like it. All right. Let's get, let's hear about the Podfather and the Dynasty Deluxe, and then we'll move into our Dynasty Landmine segment.
12:44If you play in Dynasty, you need Dynasty Deluxe, our premium package for Dynasty leaguers.
12:49We rank over 300 players, updated every week, all year long.
12:52And there's a win now mode and a rebuild mode with super flex and tight end premium controls and a Dynasty League
13:00sync where you can say, sync down all of my sleeper teams, all my FFPC teams.
13:05And then you can browse around your leagues for who has needs.
13:09And then you can use our trade finder to see what kinds of trades are happening in leagues that are similar to the one I want to do.
13:18Then you can analyze trades using our trade analyzer, which balances the lifetime value, which includes pick values out to like 2028.
13:26All of that plus the rookie guide $25 value is included.
13:29So if you're just in one Dynasty League, Dynasty Deluxe is well worth it.
13:34And use your host's promo code and you can bump up to all in and get $25 off.
13:40I like gum. I chew it all the time, every day.
13:43And lately I've been trying this Underbrush from Nathan & Sons.
13:47It's remineralizing chewing gum. Basically an oral care routine in gum form.
13:51You brush in the morning and at night, but after lunch there's a big gap where most of us do nothing for our teeth.
13:59Underbrush is made for that moment. Chew it for 5 to 10 minutes, spit it out, move on, or keep chewing if you like the feel of it.
14:08It's made with hydroxyapatite, the same mineral your enamel is made from, as well as natural saps like mastic and spruce.
14:15So it has that firmer, really satisfying chew. To say it's all natural would be an understatement because they make it themselves
14:22from scratch in Northern California, where the biggest, best trees are.
14:26I'm so glad I found this company when it's only a few years old and the team is literally making, packing, and shipping gum every day.
14:35So if you want a simple daily upgrade for your teeth that tastes great, check out Underbrush.
14:40Order now at NathanAndSons.com. That is NathanAndSons.com. Try it now.
14:44This episode is brought to you by Troll Co.
14:47Clothing. And oh, is this one worth it? You know, more than a few people have asked me about Troll Co.
14:54So let me actually tell you about it. I wear their hats, their sweatshirts.
14:58I have for a while now. The quality on both is legitimately good.
15:02The hats hold their shape. The sweatshirts are the kind of heavy that you actually want, not the thin stuff that pills after three washes.
15:11I just like them. The reason I connected with the brand in the first place is the story behind it.
15:17You know the phrase, dirty hands clean money? It's a blue collar saying that has been around forever.
15:23It's the idea that honest, hard, physical work is how you build a good life.
15:28Troll Co. It was started by two guys who came out of the oil patch who could not find any clothing that represented people like them.
15:37So they built it themselves. That is the kind of origin story I respect.
15:41And the product truly backs it up. If you want to check them out, go to trollco.com slash profiler.
15:48That is T-R-O-L-L-C-O dot com slash profiler. And use code profiler25 for 25% off your first order.
15:53All right. Welcome back. And into our Dynasty Landmine segment we go.
15:57Before we get started here, boys, I just wanted to kind of preface here what we're looking at.
16:03This is not, you know, a condemning segment here.
16:06This is not something where we have note that this is going to happen or that we're saying that these guys values are going to tank.
16:15Everything has a range of outcomes here. These are just guys that we wanted to highlight that we feel like have a
16:22reasonable path forward to lose quite a bit of value over the year and maybe into the future here.
16:28So is there anything that you guys wanted to preface here before we jump into Wolf's first guy here?
16:35No, I mean, I think just like the name said, like a landmine is, you know, you step on it unexpectedly and kind of, you know, blows up.
16:44Like that's kind of what we're thinking with these players.
16:47It's like an unexpected bad season. And these guys, at least the ones that I picked and from what I'm looking at
16:55through Wolf's list and yours as well, it's just guys that don't have that security that if they blow up in a
17:02negative way, it's going to be pretty difficult to trade them in the future.
17:06Like their dynasty valley could really take a big hit.
17:10So that's kind of what we're, you know, trying to highlight with all of these guys.
17:15Yeah, no, I agree 100% here. So with that, Wolf, why don't you go ahead and kick us off with your first player here?
17:23Yeah, no, I appreciate it, guys. So the first guy that I wanted to talk about, let's go with DK Metcalf, right?
17:30He's 28 and a half years old. It was not a great first year in Pittsburgh last year, right?
17:37But I'll be the first to say, right, I was a Metcalf bull last year.
17:42I had visions of him getting peppered with targets, you know, a la Aaron Rodgers, Devontae Adams from the Green Bay days, right?
17:49There was nobody there last year besides DK, right?
17:52So, you know, I thought that was going to be, you know, exactly what we were getting there.
17:58But that didn't work out that way at all, right?
18:01He saw career lows in targets. He had a career low in receiving yards.
18:06And he just, he didn't get the volume, right?
18:09So it was not a fantastic year. He struggled down the stretch as well.
18:14You know, he had that altercation with the fan.
18:17He got suspended in the fantasy playoffs, which really hurt fantasy managers, right?
18:21If you're in the playoffs, that sucked. But he also only had one wide receiver, one finish from, I think, week eight on, right?
18:29So, you know, you had him in your lineup.
18:32He wasn't really doing anything for you, right? He wasn't a needle mover, unfortunately.
18:36So that, right? And now, look, they traded for Michael Pittman, right?
18:40And what did they do with Michael Pittman as soon as they brought him in?
18:45They signed him to a contract extension, right? So he's there now long term.
18:50They drafted in the second round this year, Jeremy Bernard out of Alabama, okay?
18:55And he's a kind of do everything, you know, not great in one area, but, you know, he can play inside.
19:02He can play outside. Second round draft capital, that tells me he's going to be, you know, their receiver of the future there, right?
19:10So that leaves DK now going into his age 29 season.
19:13He'll be 29 in December. Crowded receiver room. And you've got 58-year-old Aaron Rodgers now who can't throw the ball more than five yards down the field, right?
19:22He was 37th in air yards per attempt last year, guys.
19:26There's only 32 starting quarterbacks in the NFL. He was 37th.
19:3037th. So everything Rodgers wants to do now, quick hitters, get the ball out fast, that's not DK's game, right?
19:36That's Michael Pittman's game, probably going to be Jeremy Bernard's game, Jalen Warren out of the backfield, right?
19:42That kind of leaves Metcalf as the odd man out.
19:46So all that stuff, we don't know who the quarterback's going to be next year.
19:51And, you know, I think I could be wrong with this, but I think that fan altercation last year voided his guarantees.
19:58So I think they can get out of his deal next year with about 18 million dead cat, nothing too crazy.
20:05So, you know, all those red flags, I'm kind of out on DK because of those reasons.
20:10You know, he can still produce, and maybe if he's a flex for me, you know, my wide receiver four, wide receiver
20:18five, something like that, I'm cool hanging on to him.
20:21But if I got anybody who still kind of values him as like a top 30 receiver and they're willing to pay
20:28me for that, I'm dealing them all day long.
20:31So, yeah, I did not know about the guarantees being voided.
20:35I do see that here on SpodTrack. It says his 2026 guarantees got voided.
20:40Go ahead. Yeah, I think so. So, right. So there's no, there's no, you know, incentive now to hold them after maybe this year, right?
20:48If they want to get out with him going into his age 30 season, it's not going to be that hard.
20:55Yeah, I just get a quick Google from according to Jake Laser, they decided not to.
21:00They could have. But I mean, I don't think it matters all that much.
21:05I pretty much agree with everything else you said about him.
21:08I think DK has this sort of like cachet and he reminds me a lot of Debo where like fantasy managers have, I think, a warp perception.
21:17And you can't always just do the box score watching, but he hasn't had, you know, a top 10 finish besides one time in his career.
21:26He has had two fantasy wide receiver ones like in the top 12 in his entire career.
21:31And, you know, he doesn't seem to be, you know, aging gracefully into, you know, his later years.
21:37So I'm completely agree with Wolf. I don't want to, you know, harp on it too much.
21:43I think instead of a landmine, this is like the Titanic is about to be hit iceberg and the whole ship is sinking.
21:51Like we don't know what's going to happen in, you know, Pittsburgh land with the new coach and everything.
21:57But Aaron Rodgers is going to be gone. Like, you know, there's so many questions and none of them point in a
22:04positive direction for the Steelers that, you know, I don't want anything to do with pretty much anybody on that team besides
22:11maybe maybe the running backs in, you know, in some sort of formats.
22:16But, yeah, what did you think, Jim Mack? No, I'm with you guys.
22:20I've never really been a big DK Metcalf believer.
22:23He, you know me, guys. When you get these wide receivers that are divas for all the wrong reasons, I'm just out on these guys.
22:31It feels like a George Pickens-esque kind of guy that I just don't really believe in him or the talent.
22:38And like you said, Jose, outside of that rookie year where he had that thousand yards, it's been a slow decline.
22:45And it's not like he's played with in bad systems with bad quarterbacks or anything or, you know, he hasn't been like the number one target.
22:54It's very interesting. I will say that I do see an outcome or a path for him to have like a pretty big touchdown season here.
23:02You know, like I think if him and Aaron Rodgers could get on the same page that he could have like a double digit touchdown type of season.
23:11And even though he has low yardage and not that many targets, I feel like that's really the path for him succeeding here.
23:19But in general, long-term outcome, I don't like it.
23:22I traded him away in one of my Debbie Leagues for the rights to the pick to get Chris Henry Jr., which felt really good.
23:30So now I just got him kind of stashed away for later.
23:34And I don't have to deal with DK's mess either.
23:38I like that. Yeah, that felt pretty good. All right, Jose, why don't you go ahead and kick us off with your first landmine here?
23:46Yeah, I mean, I have another wide receiver as well.
23:49Mine's Michael Wilson. So my thoughts here are pretty much that I think his biggest obstacle for becoming, you know, a star
23:56and a consistent one is not really another receiver, although I do still have some hope for MHJ.
24:02But it's Trey McBride, right? I think he's just the best player on the team in terms of catching the ball.
24:09So, like, it just feels like he's going to vacuum up all those passes.
24:14And he seemed to have a good relationship with Brissette.
24:17If Brissette ever gets out on the field, we'll see what happens with that whole contract dispute.
24:23But even then, like, Marvin Harrison Jr. is no slouch.
24:26I understand that for fantasy and for the NFL, he's been disappointing.
24:30But it's not like the Cardinals are ready to just throw in the towel and pretend like he's not there, right?
24:37He's still, in terms of dynasty and in terms of the NFL, elite draft capital, he's still elite prospect.
24:43The investment that they made into him and the youth, right?
24:47Like, even if they're just trying to maybe ship him or trade him in the future, Arizona has, like, every incentive to
24:54try to continue to make Marvin Harrison a focal point and get him involved, right?
24:59Will they be able to? Will Marvin Harrison be able to stay healthy?
25:04There's a lot of questions there. I think, to some extent, the elite fantasy asset of Marvin Harrison Jr.
25:10has sailed. But I don't think that means he's, like, irrelevant for their passing game.
25:15And, you know, Wilson's biggest stretch of fantasy production came when Marvin Harrison Jr.
25:19was dealing with injuries. So I just think that Wilson is kind of entering, like, his peak of potential value, right?
25:26A lot of people were excited. He's right along with who one of my last guys is, not to spoil it, but
25:34just a guy that he seems like he's just entering the most expensive that he's going to be.
25:40So it might be a time to cash out because if the season doesn't go well, the Cardinals don't play well.
25:47They play like one of the bottom teams. Brissette, you know, whatever he did at the end of the last season, isn't able to carry over.
25:55I think he's just one of those guys that who's, you know, the bottom falls out and his dynasty value never kind
26:02of returns to this peak that is kind of reaching right now.
26:06Yeah. Wolf, give me your thoughts on that, man.
26:09I agree. And I will say, you know, I'm still a Harrison believer too, right?
26:14So, you know, I don't have the exact numbers in front of me, but I think Wilson only got like four and
26:22a half targets a game when Marv was healthy last year, right?
26:26And then when he was out of lineup, I think it ballooned up to like 11 or 12 per game, right?
26:33And that's when he started throwing up these ridiculous numbers.
26:36So, no, you're right, Jose. I mean, Marv is the one there in the receiver room when he's healthy and they're going
26:43to do everything they can to make their, what, number four overall pick in the draft, right?
26:49Pan out as much as they can, you know?
26:52And Trey McBride is phenomenal and he's got, you know, the records and the contract and he's the stud.
26:58So, you know, he's going to get the ball.
27:01So, I just think that this is like, you know, your sell high window for Michael Wilson is now, you know, he
27:08may never put up these numbers anywhere close to this again, right?
27:12There's no way the Cardinals are going to, you know, lead the league in passing again this year at such a vast amount like they did last year.
27:21So, you know, the target volume is going to come down.
27:25So, yeah, no, I totally agree with Wilson. I think now's a great time to get out from under him before he just tanks in value.
27:34Yeah, the targets, the volume, I can't take credit for this.
27:37This is JJ Zachariasen is the first one I heard say it, but very reminiscent of Jerry Judy two years ago coming
27:45off that 2024 season where the Browns had like 640 something pass attempts.
27:49And Jerry Judy had the most targets, I think, in the league.
27:53And I mean, here we're looking at Michael Wilson, number 10 in targets in the league and really out of necessity.
28:00This is not, you know, him earning these targets necessarily.
28:03I mean, you can't take it all away from him.
28:06He was out there running the routes and getting the targets.
28:10But, I mean, it was Trey McBride and who else?
28:13They didn't have a run game to really lean on.
28:17You know, James Conner was hurt and they were trying to patch it together with Trey McBride who ended up getting hurt.
28:24And then it was an amalgamation of just guys, guys.
28:27I don't even remember their names. Michael Carter. Michael Carter.
28:31Yeah. Amari DiMarcardo. All of them, right? Yeah, I'm pretty sure there was a third one that got in the mix.
28:38But no one else noteworthy and he was a necessity.
28:41So I love the call here on getting out of Michael Wilson.
28:45And it's just smart to do, right? I mean, if we go and look at his value right now and where Michael
28:52Wilson's at, what could you get for a Michael Wilson?
28:55You could agree to Devontae Adams, you know, a Jaden Higgins.
28:59I'd much rather have a Jaden Higgins than a Michael Wilson.
29:03You could probably pay up a little bit and get like a Terry McLaurin if you're competing.
29:08Oh, I do that all day long if I'm a contender.
29:12Yeah, I like those moves quite a bit here.
29:15Josh Downs. I don't know if you guys are bought in on the hype and hope of Josh Downs.
29:21It's year three for me. I tried to get a patch, but it's not working.
29:26So I think I need to up the strength of the dosages.
29:30Yeah, I mean, I think this is a clear.
29:33And it's one of those situations where, I mean, unless Michael Wilson has some sort of like Nico Collins, right?
29:40Like year four breakout and becomes like a superstar.
29:43It's hard to see where if you're trading at this top end, how you lose out, right?
29:48Like if he kind of just stays at this value and you trade him for this value, then you haven't really lost out, right?
29:56Like there isn't very many places where you can see Michael Wilson going that you feel bad about the trade looking at it.
30:04Unless like the players you trade for are bad.
30:07But like that's that can happen in any trade.
30:10So, yeah, man. Who's I think if we're good to go, who is your guy, J-Mac?
30:15Yeah, just don't don't trade for bad players. It's pretty simple for Dynasty, right?
30:20I mean, why do we even have a podcast?
30:23Yeah, we could just end it now, basically. Yeah, my guy I want to talk about is another wide receiver here and it's Rashi Rice, 26 years old.
30:32Oh, Rashi. He is really, really good when he's on the field.
30:36The problem is, is for whatever reason, he can't stay on the field.
30:40And he has to be the riskiest player to roster in Dynasty.
30:44If it's not an injury he's dealing with, there's an off the field issue.
30:49And the off the field issues have come up one too many times for anybody rostering him to feel comfortable continuing to roster him.
30:57He could be a landmine or he could be an absolute nuke for your team here.
31:02It's kind of one or the other, right? And you never know what you're going to get.
31:08But I mean, the off the field issues kind of speak for themselves.
31:12And I don't really want to harp on that too much because I think we all know what could happen.
31:19I mean, prison is a reality for this guy.
31:22If he does one more thing, runs into one more legal trouble, he could just be in prison and his career could end.
31:29But despite the off the field issues, there's a number of reasons that make him risky for this year and beyond.
31:36He's dealing with that lingering knee injury, which the surgery he had was just a cleanup to deal with removing some of the things that were uncomfortable.
31:45Scar tissue and some other things. But I mean, he had to deal with rehabbing that in jail, you know, and at
31:52that same time, he's not with the team, which is a new offense.
31:57By the way, this this Chiefs offense will look very different than it did in 2025.
32:02We have Bien-Ami back. Rice has missed substantial time in this new scheme, learning it.
32:07He didn't work with Bien-Ami previously. It was always Matt Nagy.
32:11They also have a new explosive running back and Kenneth Walker, which I expect them to lean on him quite a bit,
32:18especially beginning this season with Mahomes coming back from an injury.
32:22You also are going to have a healthy Xavier Worthy.
32:25Travis Kelsey is coming back, probably wanting to make some splashes.
32:28There's news of other guys in camp kind of rising to it.
32:32But Jalen, blanking on his last name, Royals, Jalen Royals is stepping up for Rice's role.
32:38So it doesn't look good for him missing time this time of year in that valuable part of the season.
32:44There's also a contract year for him. And there's some really bad peripherals surrounding it.
32:49Even with a clean slate moving forward, let's say he stays out of legal trouble and that's not really a concern.
32:56I still think his past will haunt his contract discussions.
33:00Maybe he doesn't get the money he wants. Maybe he thinks he's worth more and probably rightfully so.
33:06But will the team really want to give that to him?
33:09Knowing that he's on the edge of prison? If any team's going to do it, it's probably the Chiefs.
33:15Let's be real. So that could be a possibility.
33:18But it's also compounded by the Chiefs having the worst cap space this year.
33:23Literally 32nd in cap space for this year. And they're already in negative cap space for next year because they continue to
33:30pay Patrick Mahomes hundreds of millions of dollars on hundreds of millions of dollars because they want to keep him on the roster through 2050.
33:39So I don't know, man. It just, the vibes are all bad around Rashi Rice.
33:44I don't think you're going to be able to trade him for much, at least right now in the offseason.
33:50So the play might be you have to just sit and wait until he starts playing football and hope that he has
33:57his similar role as previously and he is still the same guy that you want him to be.
34:03And that might be the time to move him.
34:06That would be my advice. If you have that kind of stomach to wait out the risk here.
34:12Otherwise, just sell low. You could probably get a second from him from pretty much anybody in a league.
34:19He went in the seventh round of a startup in one of my leagues and the guy was like, what a deal.
34:26And I was like, you just lit that pick faster on fire than Rashi Rice lit his blunt.
34:32But I get it. How do you guys think about Rashi Rice?
34:36Yeah, I mean, I think I don't agree. I think if you can get him for a second, I think you're not
34:43getting that sort of elite weapon for that sort of price pretty much anywhere else.
34:48I do agree that he's definitely super risky. I just look at the depth chart and the people that's there and sure
34:55Royals, while he, you know, Rashi Rice was in jail, is doing great work.
35:00But like Jalen Royals, it's not really, to me, a realistic threat.
35:04You got Tyquan Thorne, you got Xavier Worthy, and then you got like 52 other guys that I've, you know, mostly never heard of.
35:12Kenneth Walker, I think, helps the offense in general, which helps, I think, Rice.
35:17I think if you're the wide receiver one for Patrick Mahomes, you're always going to have a ton of fantasy value.
35:23And I just don't see how else they do it.
35:27Like Kenneth Walker is a great addition. He's definitely going to help the offense more than last year.
35:33But I just feel like they need Rice, right?
35:36And like you said, you know, the free Rashi Rice shirts that they're wearing before games, like the Chiefs, for whatever reason,
35:43maybe he's a great guy in the locker room or whatever.
35:47He doesn't seem to be a great guy outside of the field.
35:51But for whatever reason, they seem to really love him.
35:54I don't, you know, so I wouldn't be surprised if he got a contract ascension on the low and he kind of
36:01just like, you know, this is probably the best that I'm going to do.
36:06They're going to take care of me here. And it's only like a one or two year sort of deal where, you
36:13know, the escape hatches are all there for the Chiefs.
36:16Like you said, all that stuff. I just think if he really is that low, he's just the sort of player that you can't buy at that price.
36:26So I'm willing to take the risk. If it's ever a first, I think you can't set your first on fire like you said in that way.
36:35It's a second, a couple seconds, a third. I'm willing to take that gamble just because, you know, you're talking about a
36:4226-year-old wide receiver that is at least attached to Mahomes for this year.
36:46Sure, maybe you could just look at it as a one-year rental if you're a contender.
36:51I think he's a great piece to add. Wolf, what do you say, man?
36:56He's a knucklehead, man. These guys with these off-field issues, I can't.
37:00You know, he was set up to where he was going to get just generational money with how he was playing on the field.
37:08And he's tossed it away, right? So in redraft, best ball, give me some Rasheed Rice, right?
37:14I like the talent. Let's be real, though, right?
37:17He's not a nuanced route runner. He's a zone beater.
37:20And he's perfect for what, you know, Andy Reid and Mahomes want to do with the short, quick passing game, right?
37:27But if he ever goes anywhere else and he doesn't have that role, he's not producing.
37:32I mean, he can't play on the outside. He's not that great, right?
37:36But I've got one share left in Dynasty, and it's a league where I'm a major contender and I've got a stack
37:44with Mahomes, and I'm holding on to him there.
37:47I did flip him in a tight end premium league when all that stuff was going down with the arrest and the knee surgery and everything.
37:55I flipped him for Sam Laporta straight up in a tight end premium league.
38:00That's a good deal. And I'm just like, I'm done with it.
38:04I don't want anything to do with him. Get him off my roster.
38:08I like Laporta and kind of, you know, with Drew Petsing coming in, and I think he's going to bounce back.
38:15So I was like, I'll take that. You can deal with the headache, and I'm done.
38:20Yeah, no, that's a good out there. Yeah, maybe a second's a little too low.
38:25I'm just not confident you're getting much more than that offered your way for Rasheed Rice.
38:31Maybe now that, you know, the news has kind of dried up a little bit and time has passed, you know, you
38:38might get a little favorable bump there. But all right, let's move on to the next guy on our list.
38:45Wolf, that's you, man. Who you got? So we're sticking with pass catchers, but we're going to go to a different position.
38:52And we're going with tight ends, and I'm talking about Turd Ferguson, Jake Ferguson over in Dallas.
38:57He's going to be a landmine for me. And the reason being is I just don't think he's a difference maker, guys, right?
39:05He was, what, tight end four, tight end five in total fantasy points scored last year.
39:10Sorry, I'm laughing. Shout out. I'm laughing at the picture they have at player profile.
39:15I love it, dude. Turd Ferguson, I love it.
39:18It's a big hat. Oh, yeah. It's funny. It's bigger than normal.
39:22But, yeah, I think he finished tight end four in tight end premium leagues last year, tight end five in normal PPR.
39:30He had a career year when it comes to receptions, right?
39:33He crushed it there. He had a career high in touchdowns, crushed it there.
39:38But he had 600 yards on 82 receptions, right?
39:41That's abysmal. 7.3 yards of reception. I think he was like 33rd in average yards per catch, if I'm not mistaken, right?
39:48No, sorry. Actually, 42nd. 42nd, my bad. He averaged 1.27 yards per route run.
39:53That was 32nd. Among tight ends. So, he's a catch it and fall down kind of tight end, right?
39:59He's not giving you explosive plays. He's not getting down the field.
40:03And early on in the year when he was balling out, right?
40:07A lot of it was when CeeDee Lamb wasn't there, right?
40:11He had that ankle injury. Okay? So, he was out of the lineup.
40:15You look at the box scores. That's when Ferguson was blowing up, having his big top five weeks, right?
40:21Well, CeeDee Lamb is healthy going into the year.
40:24They got George Pickens back. Ferguson's going to be nothing more than the third target in that offense, right?
40:30He's not going to command targets over those two guys.
40:34And, you know, other than that, I mean, it's – I'd rather just use that finish that he had.
40:40Use those raw numbers, that tight end four, tight end five finish.
40:44Sell that. Use that as a selling point to my league mates to get out from under him because he's, what, 27 years old, right?
40:52He's not going to get any quicker. He's not going to get explosive at this point, right?
40:58He is who he is. And I just don't think outside of, like, extreme scoring, you know, formats for tight ends, whether
41:05you get, you know, two points per catch or, you know, maybe you're getting a half a point for first down or something like that.
41:13He's not going to do this continually, continuously, right?
41:16So, I just think now is a great time when he's got those kind of inflated raw numbers.
41:22You can use that to get out now and get you something that's going to be a little bit better for you.
41:30Yeah, Jose, what do you think, man? Yeah, I'm completely in agreement.
41:34I mean, he's a fourth-round pick. You got Michael Trigg there who they picked up as a free agent.
41:40You got Schoonmaker. But, I mean, everything that he did, I mean, you know, obviously, like we talked about Michael Wilson.
41:47Like, he was there. He caught the ball. But if you take out every game that, you know, he performed in without
41:54CeeDee Lamb there, it's pretty much, like, probably not even, you know, a tight end worth rostering at that point.
42:01Like, that's how bad it kind of, you know, to mediocre it was.
42:05He is one of Dak's favorite targets in terms of, like, when Dak gets under pressure.
42:10That's kind of the first guy you think he looks to.
42:14But, like you said, it's kind of a, you know, dump it off five yards and, you know, not take a sack type of play from Dak.
42:23I completely agree. I mean, if you can sell high, if you can use him as a springboard into an elite level
42:30guy or, like, one of those actually reliable guys, I would love to take Jake Ferguson and add whatever, you know, a
42:37second, you know, if people actually believe in him and go get a Michael Pitt, Kyle Pitts, not Michael Pittman, Kyle Pitts.
42:45I don't think you can use him as a springboard into the elite guys.
42:49I mean, I consider Kyle Pitts as an elite guy.
42:53I know that's kind of my, you know, bet to lying.
42:56But, you know, if you get there with you, Jose.
43:00Okay, I love it. We got to have Wolf on the show more often, actually.
43:05Can we just replace J-Mac? You look at my ex, I'm a massive Kyle Pitts fan.
43:10So, I love it. I'm right there with you, brother.
43:13What's wrong with you, guys? Like, can you, honestly, like, if you don't need a tight end or if, you know, he's
43:20a guy that's kind of not starting for you, can you go get a Sam Laporta?
43:26Can you go get one of the younger guys like an Eli Stowers with him?
43:31I don't love Fannin right now, but maybe Tucker Craft is still undervalued.
43:35I don't think so. I think that arrow is starting to point back up.
43:40But if you can get into those sorts of players using Ferguson's good finish, that's definitely where I'd be all day.
43:47Even as a Dallas Cowboy fan, there's nothing special about him.
43:50He doesn't do anything particularly well. He does everything that you need an NFL tight end to do okay enough to be a starter in the NFL.
43:59But for fantasy and especially at tight end, it's just not – there's just not enough to really be.
44:05Like, this is the guy that when you punt tight end, you know, you get this guy, TJ Hawkinson.
44:12Like, you know, those sorts of levels and drafts.
44:15It's just a guy that you're going to plug in and you're like, please give me more than like eight points.
44:22Like, you know, and he does that pretty frequently.
44:25But, you know, that's not winning you weeks. That's not really being a cornerstone of your dynasty team.
44:31And so if you could sell like Wolf said on that top five finish depending on your scoring, then I would 100% be doing that all day.
44:40Yeah, I love the call. I don't think I have.
44:43Any shares of Jake Ferguson? I'm trying to look at, you know, where he sits in the rankings.
44:49It's tight end 15 here according to Fantasy Kalkin.
44:52You know, I'd rather have Brenton Strange over Jake Ferguson, which I feel like, you know, maybe that doesn't happen as easily
44:59anymore that he just got that huge contract. Yeah, I mean, maybe even like a Dallas Goddard.
45:05Like, I feel like Dallas Goddard is criminally underrated right now.
45:08And if you could tear off of Jake Ferguson, get a Dallas Goddard plus, I would love to do something like that.
45:16Or maybe even like a Jawan Johnson. And then you go get yourself the backup that they just picked up in the draft, you know, Delp, Oscar Delp.
45:25And then you could just kind of, you know, play an arbitrage play for a tight end for the future there.
45:32Yeah. And get out and get a little plus on top.
45:35That's how I like to play it. I like to get a little something else on top of it so that way
45:43I can gain the value in micro edges in that way.
45:46So, all right. Any last words here on Jake Ferguson before we have Jose move on to his last guy or next guy?
45:54Hit us. All right, Jose. Lead us off, man.
45:57What you got for your next guy? Yeah. I mean, I think this is a guy who I don't think this is
46:04going to be groundbreaking for a lot of people, at least if you're plugged into Dynasty.
46:10But it's Devante Adams. I mean, there's so many factors.
46:13I'll blitz through him because I think he is one of kind of the easier and more kind of obvious guys on our list.
46:21But the age, right? He's about to be 34 years old.
46:24He does not look like that kind of elite guy anymore, which, I mean, makes sense.
46:30He is tied to one of the better quarterbacks for the NFL if he's able to stay healthy in Stafford.
46:36His 20-25 fantasy finish is just literally all touchdowns.
46:39Like, you go look at the box score. It's like, you know, what was that England game?
46:45Three touchdowns for five yards and, you know, 20 points basically.
46:49Like, it was something crazy. You know, Pukunakua, if he's on the field and stays healthy, he's going to be, you know, Stafford's main guy.
46:57The efficiency metrics have begun to slide. He's also now dealing with soft tissue injuries, which you're seeing with, like, Mike Evans and some of these older guys.
47:06Like, those things start to take longer to come back from, and they start to becoming more of a problem.
47:13So I don't know how much Dynasty Trade Valley he has right now.
47:17Maybe for a contender, they still value him somewhat, you know, decently.
47:21I think even if you are a contender yourself, if someone else is willing to take on that and have Devontae Adams
47:28turn to dust on their roster, because I think he's only under contract for this.
47:33So, you know, he could be, you know, the Debo Samuel of next year or the Keenan Allen where he's just not finding a job.
47:41Now, Devontae Adams' name carries a little bit more weight.
47:45But I would definitely say, you know, if you have an ability to trade Devontae Adams, I would definitely be looking to
47:52do that, even if as a contender. I think I don't want to get caught holding that bag next year where when
47:59he becomes kind of, you know, we talk about Devontae Adams as, like, an unstartable asset.
48:05Because you just don't know if he's going to have the touchdowns or not.
48:09Like, it's hard for me to see Devontae Adams have a 1,000-yard season next year with, like, 110 catches or something.
48:16It seems very unlikely. Yeah, I agree. Wolf, what do you think, man?
48:21No, you're right. He's one of those guys at this point where, given his age, he's basically a one-year mercenary, right?
48:27And I think you have to kind of just treat him that way.
48:32And he's only good for contenders. And at this point, you know, if you're in Dynasty, you know, if you're not a
48:39contender and you have Devontae Adams, you should have got rid of him two years ago, right?
48:45Yeah, what do you do? So he's probably already on a contender.
48:49So, you know, he's probably going to die on your roster if you have him, right?
48:54If you're aiming for a championship, you don't want to trade him to another contender, you know what I mean?
49:01Unless they're going to overpay or something like that.
49:04But, no, I agree. I mean, I think at this point, he is what he is.
49:09You know, like you said, Jose, he was completely propped up by touchdowns.
49:13I forget where I heard it, but I think it was, like, the most touchdowns inside of the five-yard line in NFL
49:20history for a wide receiver or something like that.
49:23Right? So it's not sustainable. You know, Stafford had more touchdown passes last year than he had in 23 and 24 combined.
49:31Right? So do we really think that they're going to use Devontae Adams as a goal-line receiver again all year?
49:37Probably not. You know, the offense is going to run through Puka Nakua and Kyron Williams and Blake Horman that run game.
49:45And Devontae at 33 going into 34, he's a great secondary piece.
49:49Right? But he's not the main guy anymore. So, no, I agree.
49:52I mean, if you get anybody who's, like, you know, willing to give you maybe a high second or, you know, a
50:00younger receiver that can kind of step up and give you maybe 75 to 80% of that production, I think unless you're
50:07really, like, a top two or three team, I think you've got to take a hard look at that and move off of Adams.
50:15Yeah, look at this here, guys. He's the opportunity, 32 red zone targets.
50:1913 receptions, which all 13 of those were touchdowns, I believe.
50:23He had 13 touchdowns, at least. Number two in the league.
50:27I bet you the only person that may be eclipsed that was Trey McBride, I imagine, is probably the only guy that
50:34had more red zone targets than him. Yeah, it's pretty insane.
50:37And, yeah, it's like you said, he's probably already appropriately aligned in your league.
50:42Like, but he's not a pick I'm looking to make in, like, the 10th round of a startup, which is where he's going.
50:50Unless I'm already, he's, like, a bench spot for me, and I'm already leaned heavily into contending.
50:55And even then, I feel like there's better picks around where he's going that you could probably be making at that point.
51:03But, yeah, I mean, wide receiver 42. He feels appropriately priced here, but I'm with you.
51:08And I think one thing that we didn't bring up here, too, is how the Rams tried to trade him this offseason.
51:15They were open to hearing offers and looking to do that, you know.
51:19And when it comes to Sean McVay, like, we know how cutthroat he is with his players.
51:25When he's over a guy, he's over a guy.
51:28And then it's just kind of like a snap of the fingers, and it's over.
51:33So, yeah, I don't hate the callout at all there.
51:36So, let's take a quick break here, and then we'll come back with our last callouts for some landmines.

52:09That's noblegoldinvestments.com. All right. He was just a bad fantasy prospect coming in from college here.
52:15And he had limited production that was mid at best at Notre Dame behind Jeremiah Love with a minimal pass-catching role.
52:22I think he had a total of 15 receptions over his whole college career for 162 yards.
52:27Not great. Yeah, but what about his draft capital, J-Mac?
52:31No, I get it, you guys. They spent the first-round pick on him, the last first-round pick on him.
52:37And it was inflated. The cost of him was inflated because it was a bad draft class for running backs.
52:44And it was chosen by a team that literally had one need.
52:47Like, you tell me what other position they were going to draft.
52:51They didn't need another position to draft. So when you have one need and you have three picks in the draft, why
52:59not spend your highest pick on the guy for that need?
53:02And I get it. Like, it was Jadarian Price.
53:05Everyone had him as RB2 in this class. But it wasn't RB2, right?
53:10It was like RB1, Jeremiah Love. RB2, dot, dot, dot.
53:13RB3, dot, dot, dot. RB4, Jadarian Price. You can start filling him in there.
53:18He's not a real RB2 of this class, you guys.
53:21The camp news for him has not been great either.
53:24There's talk of him sharing the backfield with not only George Helani, but Emmanuel Wilson also, who they brought in this year on a cheap contract.
53:33And that's even without considering Zach Charbonnet, who's going to be coming back from an injury, who will cloud things further.
53:40Who I called out as a value, undervalue player on the last episode.
53:44I still believe go get Zach Charbonnet. His value, Jadarian Price's, is the highest that it will be.
53:50And if I had any shares of him, I don't.
53:53I'd be moving him at all costs right now.
53:56Just to get out and get whatever I could.
53:59I'd go get Casey Concepcion if I could. I feel like that's a better bet right now.
54:05You could go get Denzel Boston, who's making noise in camp.
54:09There's a lot of different ways that you could play this to get off of Jadarian Price.
54:14Wolf, are you a Jadarian Price fan? Because this is going to be awkward.
54:19Not really. It's kind of like you talked about, right?
54:22We saw limited opportunities at Notre Dame. And a lot of that is because he was behind Jeremiah Love.
54:28So you're not going to leapfrog him and suddenly take over that.
54:32But it's more so kind of what you touched on, right?
54:3615 receptions across his collegiate career. That's not great.
54:39That's not a fantasy-friendly profile at all, right? What do we want?
54:43We want pass catchers, guys who are going to make explosive plays.
54:47And so, you know, maybe Price can do that.
54:50We don't know. Maybe they just didn't really scheme him up at Notre Dame for those type of plays, right?
54:56Because Love was just so amazing and explosive at doing that, right?
55:00And they just wanted to go ahead and give him those shots.
55:04But, you know, I don't mind taking a shot at him in a couple drafts, right?
55:10But he's not somebody I'm like seeking or going out of my way to try to get.
55:15You know what I mean? Like, I think he has a decent opportunity ahead of him.
55:21You know, especially with Charbonnet and the ACL tear.
55:24But, you know, again, he could be great. Or I could just see him flaming out in a year or two and
55:31not living up to that first-round draft capital, right?
55:34So, again, it's, you know, I don't mind taking a shot.
55:38But he's not somebody I'm like super ecstatic to go after.
55:41I love it. That's good that we're aligned on that one.
55:45Yeah, because I'm a huge, you know, like when in draft day, when he pulls out the paper and it says Vontae Mack, no matter what.
55:53I have one in my pocket. It's Jadarian Price.
55:56No. No matter what. You know, so that's my ongoing joke here.
56:00So, Jose, I don't need your thoughts on Jadarian Price.
56:04I know what you think about him. We've hated on him enough here.
56:08Let's move on. Wolf, why don't you go ahead and call out your last landmine here for the episode?
56:14Okay. This last one hurts, right? I don't know if you guys can see this, but I've got a Bucks hat on.
56:22Yeah. Okay. I'm down in Tampa, right? So I'm a hometown guy.
56:25But the guy that I'd be looking to get out of is Bucky Irving.
56:30Okay. And I know some people aren't going to like that.
56:34Last year, he was, you know, the Dynasty community's golden child, right?
56:38Everybody loved him some Bucky Irving. Okay. But it doesn't feel the same right now with Bucky, right?
56:44The vibes are not good. I'll tell you that right now down here.
56:48There's a lot of talk and a lot of excitement about Kenny Gainwell with him coming into town.
56:54And, you know, I know some people might be, okay, Kenny Gainwell, you know, whatever.
56:59He's not a big deal. But he was awesome last year, guys, in Pittsburgh, right?
57:04That over 1,000 total yards. I think he was fifth among running backs in receptions.
57:09He had 73 of them. Scored eight touchdowns. Down the stretch, Gainwell was like a legit league winner, right?
57:15He had like, I think, six RB1 finishes from week 11 on for the Steelers last year.
57:21So, you know, he can produce, right? And so the Bucks signed him very quickly in free agency to a two-year $14 million deal.
57:29Okay? $14 million for a running back. That's not chump change, okay?
57:33That tells me that Gainwell is going to play.
57:36He's going to definitely see work on passing downs, right?
57:39And Todd Bowles and the coaching staff have talked about using these guys kind of interchangeably, right?
57:45So if you're a Bucky Irving manager, that's not what you want to hear at all, right?
57:50That's terrible news if you own Bucky. So, you know, aside from that, Bucky just – he struggled last year, guys, right?
57:57He finished with 3.4 yards per carry. That's atrocious, right?
58:01Yeah. That's not good at all. And, you know, not many people know this, but he actually led the league in touches the first four weeks, right?
58:10But that workload caught up to him. And now we see that Bucky, who's undersized, we all know that, cannot handle a workload like that, right?
58:18He can't. He broke down foot, ankle, shoulder injuries.
58:21That knocked him out for almost two months. You know, so he finished with only 10 games played last year.
58:28And I think they want to use Kenny Gainwell to kind of spell him a little bit, keep him fresh, not overwork Bucky.
58:35You know, I think they're envisioning maybe somewhere around 15 touches a game, which is good.
58:41But that's not, you know, what we had rookie year with Bucky.
58:45That's not what we saw the first four weeks when he was lighting up the scoreboard from a fantasy perspective.
58:51And, you know, just one more thing is you got Sean Tucker to worry about, right?
58:57And I know he's not a huge name, but Sean Tucker got, I think, eight or nine carries inside the five last year.
59:04Bucky had zero. Bucky had 14 of those attempts as a rookie.
59:08He had zero last year, right? So they were using Sean Tucker at the goal line, and he scored eight touchdowns last year.
59:16So my big question is, if the receptions dry up, if the touchdowns dry up, where does that leave Bucky, right?
59:23As an early down kind of grinder, right? Between the 20s, that's not a fantasy friendly profile.
59:28Wow. So I think now, while he's still young and he still has some, you know, name cachet to him a little
59:36bit, I think you can still get a decent price for Bucky.
59:40You're not going to be selling high like you were a year ago when he was like RB8, RB9 in Dynasty.
59:47But I think it would be prudent to get out now while you still can, because I do think, you know, he
59:54still has a ways to go before he hits rock bottom on his fantasy value.
59:59Yeah. What do you think, Jose? Yeah, I mean, I think this is actually the true definition of like a landmine.
60:06So I think Wolf knocked this one even as a Bucks fan out of the park.
60:11I think he's a guy that the fantasy community loved.
60:14And, you know, people love when they're right. So it's harder for them to then turn around and be wrong.
60:21Everybody, you know, a lot of people wanted to be right that he was going to take Rashad White's job, and he did.
60:29And he looked really good. But that shoulder injury, man, it was pretty, you know, completely derailed his season, never got back.
60:36And now he had the offseason surgery. I think with the Bucks as well, and, you know, you're more plugged in, you know, the Baker contract situation.
60:45I don't think Baker's the type of guy to hold out.
60:48But, I mean, that's also, you know, kind of looming over them.
60:52But just in general, like he just relied so much on catching passes.
60:57I remember talking about it last season on the podcast and being like, hey, man, like his efficiency is so bad.
61:04But he's just catching so many passes that, you know, he's still good for fantasy.
61:09So, like you said, if that type of stuff dries up and he's just not on the field as much, they realize
61:16that maybe he's not the workhorse that they need.
61:19Another bad year from Bucky, and maybe this one he doesn't get hurt.
61:23He just, you know, is not good for fantasy.
61:26He could completely, you know, see his stock kind of crater.
61:30And like Wolf said, he still has some cachet, still has some value.
61:34I know I see, you know, contenders in my leagues that have Bucky Irving and they're not really doing anything about their running back room.
61:42They're pretty safe, feel safe with Bucky as like they're running back too.
61:47If you're one of those people, I would say go find a better plan.
61:51I mean, in terms of like his price and some of the people he's around, like Cam Skadavu in, you know, fantasy
61:59calc is ranked right next to Bucky Irving. So he's like a Javante Williams, Travis HM.
62:04You know, so those are some guys that if I'm competing or I'm trying to make a push for a title are
62:11guys that I think I trust to have the workload more.
62:15Right. So I would completely agree with, you know, what the Bucks fans said about Bucky Irving, sadly, because he was a
62:22lot of fun to watch, man, when he was when he was healthy and he was putting up all those points.
62:29But last season, I think is a warning, a big warning sign.
62:33I think the biggest thing that sticks out to me was just the middle of that season when he when he went on IR.
62:41Actually, he didn't even go on IR, right? He just started missing games.
62:45And then and then he eventually went on IR like three weeks later.
62:50And then even like we heard no news about him and it was just like really ominous and strange.
62:56We had no idea what was going on. And then the fact that we start this offseason with kind of just that
63:03continuation of ominous vibes with no real news, like, yeah, Bucky might be at camp.
63:08We're not really sure. And it's just kind of it was just weird.
63:12And then finally he shows up and he's playing and that was encouraging.
63:17But like those ominous vibes, it doesn't give you good things.
63:20And then, like you said, the signing Kenneth Gainwell for for not backup money.
63:25Right. Thirteen million for two years. That's six million a year.
63:29Like that. That's a signal to me. And and yeah, I mean, look at these trades here.
63:34You know, Bucky Irving for a 27 first is probably contenders first.
63:38But if you can get that, go get it.
63:41Lad McConkie in a heartbeat. Like, give me give me lad.
63:45Right. Alave over here. You're getting Harold Fannin in a half point tight end premium.
63:50Brian Thomas Jr. Give me Brian Thomas Jr. So, yeah, get out.
63:54I'll say one league as a contender where I could use Bucky and plug him in as like a flex.
64:00I was offered him for my 27 first. I turned it down.
64:04And the guy was like, really? You know, you're a Bucks fan.
64:08I'm like, yeah, man, I just it's not great vibes right now.
64:12I'm like, I really do think that, you know, Gainwell is going to eat into his workload more than people think.
64:19Right. And and kind of, you know, hurt him, you know, on those passing downs, everything like that.
64:25Like we talked about. Right. Where you got to have that stuff if you're going to produce and be at, you know, a top echelon back.
64:34I just I don't see it with Bucky this year.
64:37No, it's a really smart call. All right, Jose, why don't you give us your last player here before we get my guy right off into the sunset?
64:46Yeah. I mean, I think this is kind of on the Michael Wilson train.
64:51I know this is, I think, the the dynasty, you know, fantasy football dynasty darling of the offseason for a lot of people.
64:59Parker Washington over there in, you know, Jacksonville. I just think that his breakout coincided.
65:04It's kind of the same thing. Like I said, when Michael Wilson had come excited with just injuries and expanded opportunity for him.
65:11Right. Brian Thomas Jr. was playing, but he clearly wasn't healthy.
65:15You know, Jacoby Myers wasn't there through a lot of it.
65:18But then, you know, towards the end he was.
65:21But, you know, Jacoby Myers isn't some sort of like world beater.
65:25If Jacksonville, you know, has a crowded receiver room, it could just end up like that none of these guys are that great.
65:33So I think his target share will decline as now he has healthy teammates.
65:38At least that's all we're getting from, you know, the camp is that everybody's healthy and that Brian Thomas Jr.
65:44looks great. All these sorts of things. I think his dynasty value has already risen significantly, reducing his margin for like appreciation.
65:51Like, again, kind of like Michael Wilson, like unless we're talking about that we think Parker Washington is going to break into
65:59some sort of kind of elite echelon of player.
66:02If you sell on the hype on the, you know, the inflated value that he has now, it's hard to see where
66:09you kind of come out too bad. Right. He may end up being a quality NFL receiver whose fantasy production fluctuates week to week.
66:17Right. If it's everybody's healthy and everybody's getting targets, it's hard to see Parker Washington being the guy that commands the room
66:24in the 25 plus 30 percent target share. You know, from week to week, it could just be a Brian Thomas, a
66:32Brenton Strange, a Parker Washington, Jacoby Myers type of game.
66:35And the Jacksonville joggers are very good. The passing offense is very good.
66:39But really, the only beneficiary is like a Trevor Lawrence.
66:42I think that's a pretty possible outcome. I'm still hoping that it's Brian Thomas Jr.
66:47But in terms of Parker Washington, if that happens, you know, I think the dynasty community won't be very forgiving.
66:54And his value will take a significant hit where next season, everybody will just be like, eh, like all the same people are there unless Brian Thomas Jr.
67:03gets traded. I guess that would be the only time where, you know, you could really see Parker Washington's maybe value increase even more.
67:11But as the offseason has gone on, it doesn't seem like that's in their plans, at least right now, maybe during, you
67:18know, getting closer to the trade deadline, something like that.
67:22But yeah, and, you know, I think a lot of people are going to be disappointed, I think, in Parker Washington this season.
67:29And I think that's going to make it hard to trade him after.
67:34Yeah, I want to, like, highlight the point where you said the market has already kind of risen on him a bit
67:41to where, and I believe you said the margin for appreciation.
67:45Okay, professor, did you go to college? Are you teaching college, bro?
67:49I love it. And it's so, so eloquent, a good way to say it, that, yeah, I mean, the room for him
67:56to kind of ascend into a value gain here is closing because of the hype for him, whether you're buying into it or not.
68:04But Wolf, what do you think about this take, man?
68:07So I like Parker, but I definitely agree with you, Jose, and the fact that his price point, right, has kind of
68:14reached that zenith where people are already pricing him like he's got that contract extension, you know, like they're kind of, you know, anticipating.
68:22And rightfully so. I mean, he smashed down the stretch last year.
68:26He was phenomenal. And he does a lot of the things well that Trevor Lawrence, you know, does well, too, you know, in that slot role.
68:35But he also played very well outside as well.
68:38He's not just a slot guy. But my problem is, is, you know, they took what, like 18 tight ends in the draft this year, right?
68:46So, you know, the Jaguars are kind of signaling to us, like, hey, we want to move to some more tight end
68:54heavy sets, 12 personnel, maybe a little 13 personnel.
68:57It's a copycat league, right? So everybody's going to kind of try to copy McVay a little bit.
69:03We'll see if that works or not, right? But it's a crowded room, man.
69:07Like you talked about, Jose, you know, they already extended Myers.
69:11They just extended Strange. You got BTJ. And we didn't even talk about Travis Hunter, right, who they just spent the number two overall pick on, right?
69:20So they're going to want to get him involved.
69:23So that's a lot of mouths to feed. And, you know, he's not going to produce like he did down the stretch
69:30last year, you know, on a consistent basis. I think he can be a viable kind of PPR flex guy.
69:37But if you're getting somebody who's kind of treating them like a top 30 asset or top 35, something like that, and
69:44they're willing to pay you for it, it would be smart to get out now, I think.
69:50Yeah, he's hitting all the efficiency metrics, which I think is why so many people are on him.
69:56And I think one of the big arguments that I'm buying into when it comes to Parker Washington and the selling of
70:03him is that he was the go-to guy down the stretch for them.
70:07And that doesn't just go away. But it is very much a market play for me.
70:12It's like when you're looking at the trades going through for Parker Washington here, Jordan Tyson are likely in Parker Washington.
70:19I actually kind of like the Parker Washington on that side there.
70:23But, man, I'm looking at these trades. I want the Parker Washington side on almost all of these.
70:29Parker Washington and Zach Charbonneau for Harold Fannin and half-point premium.
70:33Malik Willis, that's where okay. I'll take Malik Willis over Parker Washington there.
70:37I'll take Parker Washington over a second. Derek Henry or Parker Washington in a third.
70:42That's close. If you're a contender, you just got to roll with King Henry, I think.
70:48Give me Zay Flowers on this trade all day.
70:51Zay Flowers or Parker Washington in a second. That feels like what you want to do with Parker Washington right now is
70:58use him to springboard into that next tier of wide receivers there.
71:02All right. You guys got any other words on Parker Washington before we depart into the last landmine here?
71:08None. Okay. Let's get into it. This one is going to hurt me just like Bucky Irving hurt Wolf.
71:14I'm sitting here touting that we have to sell Christian McCaffrey.
71:18What are we doing, J-Mac? This was the RB1 last year.
71:22Are you crazy? Why are we fading this guy?
71:25I'll tell you why. Regression. This time last year, you couldn't turn on a podcast without them calling out Saquon Regression because of the dreaded 400-touch curse.
71:34Why have I not heard a single word on that regarding Christian McCaffrey and his 440 touches last year?
71:40Not to mention that, but he's also two years older than Saquon was last year.
71:45The declines also started. You know, I don't want to admit this.
71:49I want to see Christian McCaffrey be inevitable like Derrick Henry and just play until he's 35, 34 years old.
71:55But as dynasty players, we're trying to stay ahead of the curve here and get ahead of that inevitable decline that our
72:03dynasty players hit and sell them while they still have value.
72:06And Christian McCaffrey definitely still has value right now.
72:09You can trade him to a contender for a first, probably even more than a first.
72:15Last year, he had 311 attempts for 1,202 yards for 3.9 yards per carry.
72:19We just talked about Bucky Irving having 3.4 yards per carry, and that was not great.
72:24You can't tell me that this 3.9 yards per carry is impressive, especially when we've seen a lot better from him in years past.
72:32His rushing EPX was also 30th last year per player profiler versus his 2023 season.
72:37It was 126.2. He had 11 breakaway runs last year versus 20 in 2023 and 15 in 2022.
72:43That's more than half a breakaway run rate. It's half compared to those previous years.
72:48It was like 3% versus 7% and 6% in those last two years.
72:53And it showed up when you're watching it. He did not run the ball for large chunk gains.
72:59It was get the yardage and fall down. And honestly, he did most of his damage for fantasy season in the reception games.
73:06He had 102 receptions. 102 receptions. Like he probably would have been like, I don't know what it was, but if we
73:13would have looked at it, it's probably like wide receiver 14 based on those numbers.
73:18Right. I bet my house that he does not repeat that this year.
73:23The injury riddled 2025 Niners needed him to play that role.
73:26And I can't see it repeating it. We're going to have a healthier wide receiver core.
73:32George Kittle may have something to do with that, that lower production or sorry, efficiency when it comes to rushing.
73:38So him being out is, is a huge, uh, dent in the Niners run blocking and what he could do for them.
73:46But also him being out is a good thing for Christian McCaffrey to get more passing or more receptions.
73:52I am on the fence about this one, but I really truly believe that is the decline is coming and we need to get out now.
74:00Now that's not even to mention like all the injury concerns that have kind of gone away because we've seen two healthy
74:08seasons for him now in a row. But I mean, you talk about him two years ago and everyone was fading him
74:15in the first round of your redraft leagues because they were scared that he was going to be hurt because he is just always hurt.
74:23So I don't know. I think if you can go get a first plus for him in some leagues, that's probably a
74:31smart move, especially if you're in a contending build that feels a little risky.
74:35And you don't really have like that future capital to bank on and have that safety net.
74:41He's probably someone you should be selling to another contender.
74:44Go get a first plus and start that retool.
74:47Now don't wait till the fall happens because I really do feel like it's coming here.
74:52What do you guys think about this? Jose? I think you forgot two of the main things about Christian McCaffrey.
74:59One, the Saquon thing had nothing to do with the 400 touches.
75:03It had to do with him being on the cover of the Madden game.
75:08That's actually the reason that, you know, and that's why you should fade all bears.
75:13No, but in reality, the real thing you should pay attention to is Christian McCaffrey has a very set pattern.
75:19It's healthy, healthy, top three seasons, then injury, then healthy, healthy.
75:23So we had the injury season. We only played four games in 2024.
75:27We had the healthy season in 25. So we have one more healthy season in 26.
75:32And then, you know, the injury happens and that's when he turns into dust when he's 32.
75:38No, I think it's up to your analysis. That's why our listeners are here.
75:43That's all you need. No, but in reality, the biggest thing for me is Christian McCaffrey in terms of like his, I understand what you're saying, the decline.
75:52I think he's just on that level of Derek Henry and one of these guys where like the efficiency numbers may decline.
75:59But I have a hard time seeing Christian McCaffrey replays and he's not injured, having some sort of falling off a cliff sort of problem, right?
76:08Like if Christian McCaffrey plays 17 games, he's going to be a running back one.
76:13And the guy who has the best chance of being the running back one in the season.
76:18If his metrics decline and he's like the running back seven or eight, again, if he's on a contending team, you're going
76:26to take that to the bank all day. And he's just a guy that has the skill set, you know, to do what nobody else can.
76:34And I do understand that, you know, how many touches he got and that the offense is going to have to change.
76:42But the 49ers also didn't do a great ton to make the offense change, right?
76:46You're hoping that Ricky Pierce saw a guy who's been more injured recently than CMC can stay healthy.
76:52You have Christian Kirk there and you brought in Mike Evans, another 30 plus year old that has been injured a lot.
77:00And you have George Kittle, who's now another year older coming back from, you know, what tearing his Achilles it was.
77:07So like the cast around him, they just put a bunch of other old guys that get hurt around the guy that also gets hurt.
77:15So it's just like you're going to play the roulette of if Christian McCaffrey stays healthy.
77:20Most of these other guys are probably not like I don't see a world where Mike Evans, Ricky Pierce and George Kittle.
77:28I mean, George Kittle may not play 17 games because he might not be there at the start of the season.
77:34But either way, I don't see all of those guys staying healthy.
77:38The guys they drafted, right, Kaleon Black and Deshaun Stribbling do not project to be guys that are going to eat into his target share in major ways.
77:48So it's just the I understand what you're saying from the 49ers standpoint that they needed Christian McCaffrey.
77:54But it just looks like they're going back into the season saying what they always say, which is Christian McCaffrey needs to come off the field.
78:02But we didn't really do much to address him coming off the field.
78:07So he's going to be on the field until he can't be because he's hurt.
78:11And it's just one of those things like if he's healthy, you want Christian McCaffrey on your team.
78:17I understand that the metrics may may be sliding, but even a slide from the elite.
78:23I mean, he was the running back one by such a huge margin.
78:27I get 129 targets is crazy. That's like wide receiver numbers like you were saying.
78:32And that's definitely going to dip. But even in the seasons where he was getting, you know, 80 targets, you know, 90 targets.
78:40I mean, like it still works out if he's healthy.
78:43I'm just not going to bet on Christian McCaffrey to have some that sort of fall off.
78:49The landmine is if you get the injury season and he plays five games and, you know, obviously, then you're looking at 31, 32 year old Christian McCaffrey.
78:58And he's definitely not worth the first plus. So it's one of those things where like he's probably already not a contender.
79:05But if you're a contender that you feel shaky, I would definitely be looking to move him in that situation.
79:12If you're a top two team, then you have to hold on to Christian McCaffrey and bite the bullet if it bites you in the butt later.
79:21Because you just don't have another weapon. You know, there's just another running back like him out there besides like the B.
79:28Johns and the Gibbs. But those guys are, you know, three plus first instead of what Christian McCaffrey is.
79:34No, it's a good rebuttal. Wolf, what do you think?
79:38No, you guys pretty much said it all, man, to be honest with you.
79:42You know, he's very much in that Devontae Adams vein, right, where, you know, if you're a contender, man, it's so hard
79:49to get off of a guy like McCaffrey. I mean, he's such a unicorn with what he can do on the football field.
79:57And I mean, he was a he was the running back one by a substantial margin last year, like several points per game over the next closest guy.
80:06Right. Like he just lapsed the field when he's healthy and out there.
80:11So, you know, if you have any shot at a championship, you know, I don't want another contenders late first.
80:17Right. Like, yeah. Value wise, that might be great, but that's not going to help me win a championship.
80:23Right. So if I'm if I'm gunning for it, I'm holding on to McCaffrey.
80:28I will say the guy is a physical freak and he obviously takes care of himself.
80:33Right. He could kind of moonlight into the later part of his career a little bit and be, you know, a guy
80:41who he's not going to maybe get, you know, 20 carries a game anymore.
80:45But he could provide some pretty fantasy friendly numbers, I think, as maybe kind of a satellite back, a guy you sprinkle
80:53in there as he gets into his 30s. You know what I mean?
80:57I think he can kind of stick around and have some longevity that way.
81:02But like you said, the 49ers, they're in this win now mode.
81:06Right. Everybody they have outside of Puri, you know, at the skill position players is old as dirt.
81:11Right. You know, from Trent Williams on the O-line, Mike Evans, now Kittle, all these guys are in their 30s.
81:18So they are in a very, very strict win now mode.
81:22And as long as they're doing that, Kyle Shanahan is not going to take Christian McCaffrey off the field, man.
81:28He's just not going to. So if you're going for it, I think you have to hold them unless you get some
81:36like crazy overpay where it just makes absolute sense, you know, for your team that you can't turn it down kind of thing.
81:43Yeah, I don't think it's good news for the 49ers when almost all their star players are counting on are the age
81:50of like the people that are talking about them, or at least close to it.
81:55So, yeah, I mean, dang, you said something else about Christian McCaffrey that I wanted to bounce on, but I can't remember.
82:03But, you know, J-Mac, the honorary 49ers fan, you know, just trashing on his own players.
82:08I'm trying to reverse jinx it, you guys. Yeah, exactly.
82:11Oh, I remember I was going to say he could he could easily go into a guy that, you know, you know,
82:19pretty well, Kamara, you know, that sort of role right into the age, you know, when he's getting into his later 30s.
82:26You could easily see that. But, yeah. A late career Kamara is not selling not selling Christian McCaffrey.
82:32No, I don't want last year. No, not last year.
82:35But the years before that weren't that bad when he was just basically just catching the ball.
82:41That's true. He did have to stay on the field, which he had a hard time doing.
82:46But no, nonetheless, I mean, this was a lot of fun, you guys.
82:51Yeah, I hope all you all enjoyed that out there.
82:54That was hard for me to call out that last one.
82:58So maybe you guys can gain from my pain here.
83:01But other than that, Wolf, one more time, man.
