Brian Thomas Jr.

PositiveProjection0:20

As a rookie, has shown vastly better performance than Marvin Harrison Jr., though the Jaguars situation remains messy.

Insight page

Caleb Williams

PositiveRole0:13

Bears QB whose play style differs from Jared Goff; takes deeper shots downfield and hits outside the numbers, generating bigger plays but lower efficiency metrics.

Insight page

Colston Loveland

PositiveBreakout0:15

Tight end that analyst is actively trying to buy in the Bears offense, viewing him as the best positioned pass catcher to benefit from the crowded WR situation.

Insight page

Jeremiyah Love

NegativeProjection0:20

Running back on the struggling Cardinals; advised to 'hang on for dear life' as the team will be poor all season with limited TD upside.

Insight page

Keenan Allen

PositiveRole0:06

Joined the Chargers in 2025 and took over the primary WR role from Ladin McConkie, reducing McConkie's target share and efficiency.

Insight page

Luther Burden

PositiveValue0:12

Viewed as having similar value to Roma Dunze in the crowded Bears offense; if trading Burden, analyst would target Roma Dunze plus additional value.

Insight page

Malik Nabers

NegativeProjection0:02

As a rookie, averaged 18.2 PPR points per game with 2.21 yards per route run (22nd among WRs), though the low efficiency was attributed more to the Giants offense than his talent.

Insight page
NegativeRole0:03

Viewed as a focal point of the Giants offense alongside QB Jackson Dart, but the loss of Dart and overall Giants dysfunction makes Nabers a huge fade for 2026.

Insight page
NegativeInjury0:03

Tore his ACL in 2025 after playing just four games (14.3 PPR points per game), resulting in a lost season with ongoing knee concerns heading into 2026.

Insight page
PositiveBust0:04

Circled as a top bye week four target due to injury recovery concerns and the Giants' likely tank mentality for 2027, making him a risky hold.

Insight page

Marvin Harrison Jr.

NegativeProjection0:16

As a rookie, averaged 11.6 PPR points per game with 1.68 yards per route run; in 2025, posted 10.7 PPR points per game with 1.65 yards per route run, showing stagnation.

Insight page
PositiveRole0:17

May have been limited by Michael Wilson's emergence in 2025; while Harrison led in target share when both played, questions remain about who is the true WR1 on the Cardinals.

Insight page
PositiveBust0:17

Not a buy at current dynasty cost; hasn't proven enough in his two-year career to justify the valuation, especially with uncertainty around his role.

Insight page

Michael Wilson

PositiveProjection0:17

Had a strong 2025 stretch with big performances that Marvin Harrison Jr. never achieved, though analyst believes he benefited from favorable circumstances.

Insight page
PositiveBust0:17

Fell into magical circumstances in 2025 where everything went right; unlikely to repeat that stretch, making him a sell-now-buy-back-later candidate.

Insight page
PositiveRole0:18

Will play more of a slot/H-back role in the Cardinals offense, running more movement-based routes and blocking, similar to Puka Nacua's role with the Rams.

Insight page

Quentin Johnston

PositiveValue0:07

Listed as an interesting target in the Mike McDaniel Chargers offense, though less prioritized than Ladin McConkie.

Insight page

Tre Harris

NegativeRole0:07

Tight end in the Mike McDaniel Chargers offense; analyst explicitly states he doesn't want tight ends in this system.

0:55What is going on, everybody? Welcome on into Press Coverage.
0:58We help you gain an edge in fantasy football.
1:01I'm your host as always, Wyatt Bertilow. With me today, returning guest, friend of the show, Jägermeister.
1:06Jagger, how are you? I was telling you, man, I'm in my peak off-season mode right now, man.
1:12It's best ball season out there. That matters to some people like me.
1:16Yeah. It's all seasons right now. This is a good time of the year where, like, we can talk about everything.
1:23Everything. Dynasty is still in full effect. Best ball is really flowing.
1:26Redraft is not that far from where we are right now.
1:30In fact, I mean, I think most people are starting to think about redraft and what the redraft content is going to be.
1:37But tonight, we're talking some Dynasty wide receivers, specifically the 2024 wide receiver class, because it was a really interesting sophomore season for these wide receivers.
1:452024, they came onto the scene. Tons of big performances from this class.
1:49And then last year, we didn't really get a good follow-up.
1:53Before we get into specific players, what are your kind of thoughts on just, like, how this class is going in general?
2:00This is the biggest buys ever. And I know that last year was kind of the same for this class.
2:06It was like, go get Ladin McConkie, go get Roma Duneza, go get Marvin Harrison.
2:11I still think that this is the case. And if anything, the only negatives I've had as far as to deter me
2:18has not been from talent or face planning. It's injuries that we've had with almost every one of these guys.
2:24But ironically, Ladin McConkie, who, again, we'll discuss here, who had the injuries in college.
2:29He's the only one who's been, like, healthy. Well, let's get into our first one.
2:34I'm going to be going by Dynasty Value currently working down.
2:37So, of course, we're starting with Malik Neighbors. He's wide receiver four to six, depending on where you look in Dynasty right now.
2:44As a rookie, 18.2 PPR points per game. He had 2.21 yards per outrun, which is 22nd among wide receivers.
2:51Honestly, I expected that to be higher looking back.
2:53I don't remember it being that. But we all knew watching Malik Neighbors that he was fantastic.
2:59And, like, when you think about that yards per outrun, that's more like the Giants offense being terrible more than anything.
3:05But 2025, plays just four games, 14.3 PPR points per game in those games.
3:10Tears his ACL. Kind of a lost season. Doesn't seem like things are going that well for his knee right now.
3:16How are you feeling? I feel terrible for 2026.
3:19And I feel terrible about the entire Giants. These are a huge fade.
3:23Like, I had a tweet that was just, like, the all-fade team.
3:27And someone's like, just say you hate the Giants.
3:30So I'm like, ah, you got the joke. You know, and it's multiple things.
3:34It starts with Millik Neighbors, who I think is a focal point of this offense.
3:39Or you could say that's tied with Jackson Dart, you know, because you have the receiver and quarterback hand in hand.
3:46That's gone. That's one half of the shit that's gone.
3:49And then you're with Malachi Fields, who I like, but Data hates it.
3:53And there's a lot of reasons for that that I could explain away on top of that.
3:58And then you have Cam Scadaboo, who's hurt. It just feels like he's going to, what, come back week four?
4:05Because if he starts on the pup list, we're unsure how he's going to be out.
4:10So let's say, best case scenario, he's going to be out two to four weeks.
4:15What level is he going to be back ramped up to health on top of that?
4:20And then by the time he is healthy, where are the Giants going to be at as far as like a playoff
4:27race, playoff hunt, to where they want to rush him out there.
4:30And they're kind of playing for 2027. So I'm circling Malik Neighbors as like, I don't know if you do this, you
4:37have your, here's the guys I'm looking for a week four, you know, like I'm got the countdown.
4:43Millik Neighbors at the top of that list as a bye week four.
4:47Yeah. I'm not as down on the Giants offense as you are, though.
4:51Oh, I understand why, especially when Matt Nagy is involved in the offense.
4:55You said that. You know, like that should ring the alarm bells for anybody, you know, but I'm a real big believer in Jackson Dart's talent.
5:03So like I can only be so low when I think the quarterback is good.
5:08Malik Neighbors though, you know, I still think he's absolutely incredibly talented and was really hoping like, oh, maybe this is, you
5:15know how with the most elite players in Dynasty, there aren't exactly like bye windows per se.
5:20It's just that now that manager may listen to an offer when they weren't even going to hear the offer before, when
5:27it comes to players like Millik Neighbors. I tried to knock on some doors.
5:32They weren't giving me really anything, you know, like every time I knocked on a door, I was going to have to
5:39pay the King's ransom for Millik Neighbors. So I didn't actually end up getting any deals done this offseason.
5:45But I guess more for me, it's like Malik Neighbors as a hold.
5:49I really believe in him. I like your point that maybe early in the season, if he isn't coming back as soon
5:56as people would like, we can start knocking on doors again.
5:59Yeah. Right now we live in an imaginary world.
6:02Once the end season starts and the pressure's on, people start making business decisions.
6:06So there you go. All right. Our second wide receiver of the day, before I mentioned Ladd McConkie.
6:12His dynasty value, there's an outlier here because dynasty Dellab startup ADP, he was wide receiver 16, wide receiver 16 on the key trade cut.
6:20When I looked at dynasty league football startup ADP, he was wide receiver 24.
6:24So this one's a little bit interesting. Maybe there are some opportunities with Ladd.
6:292024, 15.1 PPR points per game, 2.56 yards per outrun, which was sixth amongst wide receivers in his sophomore season.
6:35Dips down to 11.3 PPR points per game, 1.47 yards per outrun, which was 57.
6:4057 on wide receivers. Probably not a good sign when Keenan Allen comes in and kind of takes your job from you.
6:47And then you have to wonder if this off season will happen again.
6:51But he's another player where I still believe in the talent.
6:54And like, I'm really excited for the Mike McDaniel chargers offense.
6:58What do you think? Greg Roman, man. That's just all I got to say is like, is like Greg Roman.
7:04It's Ladd McConkie has a profile that I, and I keep telling people, I will chase this.
7:10If you look at what the model of a wide receiver one is, it's no longer the 215.
7:15Someone we just talked about, Malachi Fields would be in like a wide receiver one or Denzel Boston 10 years ago.
7:22Now it's about 190 to 200, 6'1". What if I told you the only difference between Ladd McConkie and Garrett Wilson was about five pounds?
7:30That's it. They are this exact same profile. So with Keenan Allen, what happened there?
7:34It's Greg Roman and just some weird football dude stuff that is like pretty silly.
7:39I'm talking about that Arthur Smith type stuff. It just happens.
7:43I think it's weird when you get someone like Mike McDaniel, who's probably not a head coach, but an excellent offensive coordinator.
7:50This is a buy across the board. I basically don't want the tight ends in Trey Harris.
7:55I'm interested in Quentin Johnston. I'm very interested in Ladd McConkie.
7:58He's been a buy. Ladd McConkie makes me wait on wide receiver now.
8:03It's like I can double tap running back early or something like that or get a running back early, then get Ladd
8:09McConkie and feel pretty good if he's my wide receiver one later.
8:13If I miss out on the seeding lambs, I'm on Ross A.
8:17Brown. Yeah, I'm with you. I am in. I'm ahead on prices everywhere.
8:21I'm trying to draft him everywhere, every format. But I'm really excited for the offense with Mike McDaniel.
8:27Like, I think, you know, we talk about how the Mike McDaniel offense might affect the tight ends and maybe some of
8:34the tertiary wide receivers to kind of like none of them are getting quite enough to matter.
8:39But that wide receiver one in these heavy set play action type offenses that really, really produce big fancy points for those wide receiver ones.
8:47And that's going to be Ladd McConkie, in my opinion.
8:50It seems like looking around the Dynasty Marketplace, there's trades available.
8:54Like, hey, is his clone Garrett Wilson tearing down from Garrett Wilson to Ladd McConkie?
8:58Like, I mean, I would just take Ladd McConkie straight up this year.
9:02Like, and he's younger. So like people are doing that.
9:06People are trying. I'm like the Garrett Wilson guy.
9:08I know. I love Garrett Wilson. But come on.
9:11But Ladd McConkie's got everything that Garrett Wilson doesn't have.
9:14Yeah. So that's that's the big one for me where I'm looking at it.
9:19I'm like, if that's available to me, I'm trying to smash that trade right now.
9:24All right. We are going to take a quick moment to hear from the Podfather.
9:28And when we come back, we've got more wide receivers for you.
9:32You know, I get asked, is AI ruining fantasy sports?

11:01If you agree with anything what we're saying or disagree with what we're saying.
11:05Now, Jagger, before we get to these players, I know you've been putting in a lot of work over at RotorWire this offseason.
11:13Why don't you tell everybody what you've been working on?
11:16I'm about to release tomorrow a projections article where I was telling Wyatt here, I went through every team, analyzed every fantasy-relevant
11:23player, went through my projections, gave you my reasoning, gave you dynasty buy, hold, sells, and broke down the best ball implications
11:30as well as for each team giving you the best ball playoff matchup.
11:34It's basically, I wrote like a Bible for you this offseason until I write another one in August, the testament.
11:40That's probably going to upset some people. I'm sorry.
11:43I'd love to hear it. Well, our next wide receiver is Roma Dunze.
11:47His wide receiver value across dynasty marketplace is pretty consistent.
11:50It's wide receiver 19, wide receiver 20. In 2024, kind of a rough season.
11:558.5 PPR points per game, just 1.33 yards per run.
11:58In 2025, it gets better. 12.2 PPR points per game for the season.
12:02But if you look at just the first seven games before he really started dealing with a foot injury, it was 15.5 PPR points per game.
12:10But when he came back, he wasn't really the focal point of the offense anymore.
12:151.72 yards per outrun for the season. Improved there as well.
12:18This is a... I don't want to use the cliches that you can say for offenses like this where there's a bunch
12:25of players in there, but boy, are there a lot of mouths to feed in the Bears offense.
12:31How are you feeling about Dunze? He's another one where I'm going to keep buying.
12:36And if I'm actually selling Luther... If I have Luther Burden, it's not that I dislike Luther Burden.
12:41I just think that him and Roma Dunze are the same value right now for me because it's like you said, there's a lot of mouths to feed.
12:50Someone is going to get disappointed. And if I can acquire what I think is an equal bet and get more value
12:57on top of that, that is a win. So if I'm trading Luther Burden and I can get Roma Dunze in a
13:04third, that's a win because I feel like I got the same upside, same upside or similar price and got something on top of that.
13:12One thing I want to talk about is a lot of people want to...
13:16And I'm sorry, I'm going to spend a little time on here.
13:20They keep saying that the Lions and the Bears have the same offense.
13:24That is just not true. And that's not how football works.
13:28When you had Jared Goff, you have a different set of rules than when you have Caleb Williams.
13:33And one thing here, when you look at the stats with Roma Dunze and why you can circle an easy stat where
13:40you can see some type of positive regression is his catch percentage was rather low last season.
13:46And that is indicative of the offense. That's not that Caleb Williams just sucks and is inaccurate.
13:51That's not that Roma Dunze sucks. It's because the run game's the same.
13:55Everything runs through the run game. But with Jared Goff, they ran crossers over the middle of the field.
14:01Everything's fast. Jared Goff can't extend plays. When you have Caleb Williams, they're taking them deep shots downfield.
14:07They're hitting outside the numbers, just generating bigger plays, which by nature is going to lower your efficiency.
14:13If they start to creep up and get better at that, which is very possible, we can see closer to what we
14:19saw with Roma Dunze more often than not. Or at worst, I think he's going to be more of a boom-bust player
14:26because of the nature of the offense. And I'm sorry for that little diatribe.
14:31No, I love to hear it. I'm a little bit different than you here.
14:35I am not in a Roma Dunze right now.
14:38And it has nothing to do with the player, honestly, because I actually think Roma Dunze is pretty talented and think that
14:45he can do a lot more than what he's being asked to do, even in the Bears offense.
14:51It's that he's being asked to do all the hard stuff in the offense, which is unfortunate.
14:56He's not getting any of the ease and butt stuff, even though I think that he is capable of doing it.
15:03And Colson Loveland, for me, is the one that I'm actually trying to buy in this offense, where I think that there's
15:10a good chance that all three of these big pass catchers for the Bears offense could be fighting to be the top target every single week.
15:18And when that's the case, that matters more for the tight end than the wide receiver because the players that Colson Loveland
15:25is competing against in fantasy at his position are not the same level as wide receivers in terms of fancy points.
15:31So when Colson Loveland is sharing that type of target share with them, he can still be very productive for his position,
15:38but it's a little bit harder for the wide receivers.
15:41I do like a point you were making about the Bears offense in that it's not the Lions offense.
15:47That was something I was trying to say last offseason where everybody was saying, well, you want Ben Johnson's slot wide receiver.
15:54I'm like, well, I don't know that we know that in Chicago.
15:58And I don't know that we know who the slot wide receiver is in Chicago at this point.
16:04I mean, they might be Colson Loveland even. I mean, you know, like there's so much changing going on here with Ben Johnson.
16:11He just makes the best of his players. Exactly.
16:14He's just a good offensive coordinator, which means that he's just going to use his players the way that's best for them.
16:21They're like, well, the Roman Dunes is going to be the Jamison Williams.
16:25I'm like, they're not the same kind of player.
16:28Why would he do that? Yeah, there's no Aminra on this team.
16:32You know, like it just doesn't work that way.
16:34All right. Our next wide receiver, Marvin Harrison Jr.
16:37A little bit of variation in his valuation across the dynasty marketplaces.
16:41On Dynasty Data Lab, wide receiver 22. DLF, wide receiver 28.
16:45Keep, trade, cut, wide receiver 23. As rookie, 11.6 PPR points per game.
16:49Just 1.68 yards per out run in 2025. 10.7 PPR points per game.
16:53The yards per out run, 1.65. Basically kind of the same player for two years.
16:57The big thing about Marvin Harrison Jr. Is that in 2025, he might have got cucked by Michael Wilson a little bit.
17:04It's tough to parse through, I think, a little bit.
17:08Because Michael Wilson did all his damage while Marvin Harrison Jr.
17:11was hurt. The times when they played together, even after Michael Wilson had shown big games and Marvin Harrison Jr.
17:17came back, Marvin Harrison Jr. was leading them in target share.
17:21He was the first free target share. But Michael Wilson has done things that Marvin Harrison Jr.
17:26has never done. It's only a two-year career. You know, it's a short amount of time.
17:31But it raises questions as to who's the true wide receiver one on this offense.
17:36I think, personally, that Michael Wilson fell into a magical set of situations and everything came right for the magical moment in the 2025 season.
17:44I think he's a good player. Do I think he's ever repeating that stretch?
17:48I don't think so. But I'm not in on Marvin Harrison Jr.
17:52either, really, because I don't think he's proven enough at this point to really be worth this dynasty cost.
17:58What do you think? I'm going to target both sides of my mouth, because that's how football works.
18:04Okay, let's hear it. All that shit I said about Chicago, it's like, well, you can't just slot in the same stuff here.
18:11I'm going to do that with the Cardinals right here, because I do buy in with Michael LeFleur is saying, and they do have similar players here.
18:19I agree with what you're saying is that, like, what I say is Jesus floated down and kissed Michael Wilson on the forehead.
18:27That's what happened. You know, everything that could go right did go right.
18:31Like, whoever's the opposite of Murphy and made a law, that's what happened to Michael Wilson.
18:36But I do think that he is talented. Like, that's not nothing, is what I'm saying here.
18:41Yeah. And Marvin Harrison Jr. was a little injured.
18:44Now, let's go back to what I'm saying, what I was going to say here about what he brought over from the
18:51Rams and usage, where Marvin Harrison Jr. is going to play a little bit more of what we saw with Devontae Adams,
18:58and Michael Wilson is going to do a little bit more of the puka roll, which is a lot more out of the slot, a lot more movement.
19:07The key thing is a lot more blocking, like the way their usage works.
19:11It's basically like a super H-back, and I'm not going to get down in the weeds too much for that because I'm going to bore folks.
19:19But with that being said, I love that for this team in 2027.
19:23Right now, do I think that Jacoby Brissett's got to go out there and Matt Stafford?
19:29Absolutely not. I do not believe in Carson Beck.
19:31I also would not be surprised if Carson Beck looks like he could be this year's Davis Mills or Deslin Ritter.
19:38You remember when we saw Davis Mills and Do All Right, and we're like, well, if he takes that next step forward, there is no next step.
19:47That's what I'm saying that we could see with Carson Beck.
19:50Will we see a competent backup? With all that being said, this team is going to be ass, man.
19:56You just don't want it. And fantasy, and you should buy Marvin Harrison Jr.
20:00all offseason. You should sell Michael Wilson now and then buy him back for cheaper later.
20:05Jeremiah Love, hang on, buddy. Hang on for dear life.
20:09It's going to suck all season long because you're not going to have TD upside.
20:13All right, let's do a quick this or that with Marvin Harrison Jr.
20:17against some other players to try and give a feeling of where he's really at.
20:22Marvin Harrison Jr. or Tee Higgins? Marvin Harrison Jr.
20:25Ooh, interesting. I'm taking Tee there. Zay Flowers or Marvin Harrison?
20:28Zay Flowers. Love it. I'm there with you. Marvin Harrison Jr.
20:32or Brian Thomas? Brian Thomas. Okay. I'm not sure where I come out on that one yet because it's a little messy there.
20:39It's a little bit closer than I was thinking.
20:42Like, I know what my rankings say and then saying it out loud with you right now, I'm starting to question it.
20:49You're like, this is real. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You can see me.
20:53No, I have Brian Thomas Jr. head in my rankings.
20:56That's the way it is. You know, I'm going to be real about that.
21:00But when I said it out loud, you know, I had to think about it a little bit.
21:06I think I'm still sticking with Brian Thomas Jr.
21:09Because what he's shown as a rookie is just so vastly better than anything Marvin Harrison Jr.
21:14has shown at this point, even though it's a little messy with the Jaguars right now.
21:19And that's a perfect segue because our next player is Brian Thomas Jr.
21:23His evaluation as well, a little bit over the place.
21:26You know, Dynasty Daly, I have started ADP, wide receiver 27.
21:30DLF, wide receiver 22. Key trade cut, wide receiver 25.
21:33As I said, rookie season was awesome. 16.7 PPR points per game, 2.55 yards per hour run.
21:38That was seventh among all wide receivers as a rookie.
21:42Then 2025 happens, 9.9 PPR points per game, 1.59 yards per hour run.
21:46Everyone's questioning what's going on with Brian Thomas Jr.
21:49We know that there was a little bit of wrist injury.
21:52We don't know how bad that really was for him.
21:55Didn't keep him out, but there was like rumors that it was really bothering him.
22:00And that's why, like, we saw him kind of shy away going across the middle a few times.
22:06People are talking about maybe he's a Mac Jones merchant.
22:09I don't know how much I believe that. I think he was a little bit of a merchant of being, like, the
22:16only guy in town at the end of his rookie season.
22:19As the Jaguars were having to pass a lot.
22:22I'll give him that a little bit. Although I do think, like, still you have to be really talented to do what he did as a rookie.
22:31How are you feeling about him going into his third season?
22:34Okay. Well, I'm going to start where you ended and work backwards.
22:38The narrative that he was a Mac Jones merchant is overblown.
22:41I'm going to take this from Kev Masurgeon. Nine games with Trevor Lawrence.
22:4553 targets. 35 receptions. 595 yards and five touchdowns.
22:4814 fantasy points per game. On a full season pace, that would have been 100 targets.
22:5366 receptions. 1,100 yards and nine touchdowns. That's perfectly fine, man.
22:57Yep. He's been fine with Trevor Lawrence. So let's just throw that out there.
23:01Secondly, it's not just a wrist injury. I think his ribs were messed up at one point.
23:06He had multiple things happen. Now, is the narrative that Brian Thomas Jr.
23:11is kind of a giant? I can't say that because I'm playing in the NFL.
23:15Does injuries affect him greater than it does other receivers?
23:18Yes, that could be true. But I do think that the talent's there.
23:23Now, for the other things, like the Parker Washington, Jacoby Myers thing, this goes back to where you've got to understand scheme.
23:30Brian Thomas Jr. is the only X right now.
23:32Yes, great point. Like, that is, you need to stop comparing him, Parker Washington, Jacoby Myers because he is a different position.
23:39He is just a different position. So no matter what fuck-ass shit happens with the tight ends, that is not going to affect him at all.
23:47And I need you guys to hear that. That is just how football works.
23:52Now, could I be wrong? Is there a chance?
23:55Yes. I'm just probably not. I'm just going to be honest.
23:58I'm just probably not wrong. So with that being said, I am worried about Parker Washington versus Jacoby Myers versus the tight ends.
24:05Then we can have a conversation here. So with all that, I am all in on Brian Thomas Jr.
24:11At cost, in all formats. I am buying him everywhere.
24:15Because like you said, you just don't do that as a rookie.
24:18And all the outliers that we've had here are pretty much explainable and tangible.
24:23It's not like magic or what happened. I think it's very real that he's talented.
24:28And I thought he was a very good prospect to begin with.
24:31So I love what you said about the position he plays in the offense.
24:36Because it's something that I've tried to talk about and work into my process a lot.
24:41This for this specific situation is like, listen, I yeah, it could be messy.
24:45And that these wide receivers are like rotating some.
24:48But who's rotating with Brian Thomas Jr. He's the only X on this offense.
24:52Like now, do you want to tell me that the X isn't as important in this Liam Cohen offense with the Jaguars?
24:59I'll hear your argument on it. Yeah. Yeah. I will.
25:03I will have that conversation with you. Because I think there is something to that because I and I think you could
25:09have the argument with me that Trevor Lawrence is just way better throwing across the middle of the field in the short intermediate areas.
25:17And that's just not what Brian Thomas Jr. is really doing that much of in this offense.
25:22I'll hear that argument as well. But Brian Thomas Jr.
25:26showed so much talent as a rookie. I'm still like buying into that somewhat.
25:30Now, I find myself on the lower end of his current valuation in the dynasty market.
25:35But like in basketball, I'm drafting him right now.
25:38So like maybe I need to do a reevaluation of my own rankings right now, you know, and as we're having this
25:45conversation, I appreciate your confidence in him. It's helping me like have some more confidence in my Brian Thomas Jr.
25:51takes and like my hope that it can come back, you know.
25:55So maybe that's when I'm going to have to go back to the well on and see how I really feel.
26:02Mm hmm. All right. Next up, we have Ricky Pearsall.
26:05Shadow Realm. Dynasty, Dell Lab, startup ADP, wide receiver 39, DLF, startup ADP, wide receiver 40, keep trade cut.
26:11Wide receiver 45, rough start to his career, I would say.
26:142024, 8.5 PPR points per game, 1.41 yards per outrun.
26:17Coming off of getting shot, 2025, 9.8 PPR points per game, 1.97 yards per outrun.
26:22Dealing with injuries. It seems to me that whenever he is healthy and on the field, he's actually pretty darn good.
26:29For whatever reason, that hasn't always been happening as much as we'd like.
26:33I'd also say that things got more complicated for them this offseason.
26:37You know, Brian Iyuk hasn't really been a factor in Ricky Pearsall's career, so we don't even have to consider him in what's been going on with him.
26:45But now Mike Evans comes to town, and he's a real target earner.
26:49He's been very good his entire career. Continues to be, even at his old age.
26:54You look at any advanced metrics, he's still playing his ass off.
26:58You know, he still looks very good out there.
27:01Kittle's expected to be back week one. Chris McCaffrey exists.
27:04Again, this is a pretty muddled situation with a lot of good players on the team.
27:09The way it always is for San Francisco. Always.
27:12Can Ricky Pearsall ascend? I mean, I kind of think I already know your answer to this, but, you know, like, go in depth.
27:19How are you feeling about him? I'm going to be honest, it's not good.
27:24What's crazy is, like, stop listening to me on Twitter.
27:27It's like, I refreshed. And then immediately his reception perception came up.
27:31Success by route. It looks good, man. He's a good player.
27:34Like, you know. Yeah. He looks real good. It's, I don't, like we talked about with Michael Olsen, how Jesus came down and kissed him on the forehead.
27:43For Ricky Pearsall, Satan came up and kicked him in the ass.
27:47Because it's like you said, like, how do I factor in getting shot into my process?
27:52Yeah. Yeah. We've had to do that a few times recently.
27:55Yeah. It's nuts because he just can't get on the field.
27:59And last year when we're like, okay, it's finally going to happen.
28:03He just kind of stumbled around a bit. And not because, like, he was bad.
28:07It was just getting, returning from injury, getting your feet back underneath you.
28:11I just don't know what to do about it.
28:14And like you said, I think the 49ers, they want to be competitive sooner rather than later.
28:20And then the Mike Evans signing matters. The Deshaun Stribling signing.
28:23That's ugly, man. It's real, real ugly. It's one of those if you squint and you ignore what you know about football
28:30and you listen to what you heard from Shanahan say about how they scout.
28:34You're like, oh, yeah, that's Debo Samuel. He can play the Debo role.
28:39So you could just see the touches going away.
28:41And the 49ers are the one offense where they can be efficient enough to make him still relevant if all these things happen.
28:49There's just too much smoke to where I would rather use Ricky Purcell in a package deal to go get any of
28:56these other guys that we talked about and just kind of be done with it.
29:00That's where I'm at. I can dig those trades trying to move up using him to someone else that you like more.
29:07You know, I'm in a weird spot where like if I put my rankings up against the Dynasty Marketplace, apparently I am in on Ricky Purcell.
29:15But I don't feel that way when like it's brought up.
29:19So I don't know how to deal with that personally with my rankings because I go like I'm looking at my rankings
29:26right now and I'm looking at some of these players that I have behind him.
29:31I was like, yeah, I don't really want to put DK Metcalf ahead of Ricky Purcell.
29:36You know, there's players like that. So I don't know.
29:39Like I'm like soft in, I guess, just based on not liking other players.
29:43And it's funny talking to you now. I'm having to adjust my Dynasty brain because like I'm so locked into 2026 and
29:50I tend to use your 2026 projections to guess how the market is going to affect Dynasty.
29:56And it's like maybe I should of all these players that you've got to put on your list, I'm going to buy them.
30:03Maybe Ricky Purcell is buying right now while his value is so low because he's really attainable right now.
30:09Let's put it this way. But here's what this got denied.
30:12This guy, I was really shocked. I had packaged a Rondé Gadsden and Ricky Purcell to get a Dunzee, got denied.
30:19So like there's people that don't love that. That's an indictment on both players, really.
30:24That's what I'm saying. It is because Rondé Gadsden, people are, it's one of those like people are talking all kinds of
30:31shit on Twitter when I say that, hey man, maybe you should sell him.
30:35Look, ain't no way. They're like nobody's buying him.
30:38So someone's lying. Yeah, exactly. So like Ricky Purcell might be the other way where he's so cheap to where the upside
30:45is so prevalent that if you can get him realistically, if you've got multiple 20, 27 seconds and you just want to
30:52throw one on someone right now, Ricky Purcell, that's not terrible.
30:55You know, I actually don't love that at all.
30:58I would want to use another asset, maybe like a running back that you don't love or something.
31:04But yeah, I mean, I think you're kind of right that like, you know, we could be six months down the road.
31:11Mike Evans is out with a hamstring and George Kittle doesn't look the same.
31:15And like, it's a completely different conversation. Um, so yeah, I think I like, I'm starting to more agree with the rankings
31:22I already had in place as like, I'm, I'm looking, I'm staring at him and seeing like the players after him and
31:29saying like, yeah, because like six months, six months from now, I don't, you know, I don't think I want these players.
31:36That's a, it's funny. We like podcast guys, believe it or not.
31:40A lot of times we talk it out and have therapy together.
31:43Cause it's like, yeah, the good exercise for Ricky Purcell is upside is does Deshaun Stribbling suck?
31:49And will Mike Evans get injured? If you look at statistics with Mike Evans age and Deshaun Stribbling, just kind of be
31:56an ass throughout most of his college. So he says like, yeah.
31:59All right. We are on to our final player of the day.
32:03And that is Xavier Worthy. Why did you hear 48 on dynasty?
32:07That lab startup ADP. Why did you hear 53 on DLF?
32:11Why did you hear 50 on keep trade cut 11 points per game as a rookie 1.32 yards per outrun.
32:17A lot of that coming after Rishi Rice being hurt.
32:20Then 2025, he gets hurt to start the season.
32:23Get 7.9 PPR points per game. 1.36 yards per outrun with playing with a messed up torn.
32:28And basically, I believe a torn labrum for basically the entire season.
32:32How much that affected him is really hard to say.
32:35I imagine had some effect on him. With that said, Xavier Worthy has not looked that good over his time in the
32:42NFL and has not lived up to the expectations he's had being drafted in the first round by the Chiefs to play with Patrick Mahomes.
32:50Xavier Worthy is a weird player to me in that he's actually better in the short area of the field with just getting the ball in his hands.
32:59But he's a small wide receiver, so he can't take a lot of hits.
33:03His deep ball tracking is awful. He can get past the defensive back every time.
33:08But he has a really hard time finding that ball once he does.
33:12So, I'm having a tough time finding a reason to like Xavier Worthy.
33:16How are you feeling? Dude, if you wanted to like him, you come to the wrong place.
33:22Someone I've had to not be a dick about.
33:24Because Kansas City Chiefs fans, you were mean. Because like, I'm on like year five, six in scouting, you know.
33:31And there's always going to be people more experienced.
33:33Quarterback, I've had a lot of misses. Quarterback's hard, guys.
33:37But I'm pretty damn good at any other position.
33:39Worthy was always full-scold. Because it's like you're saying, man.
33:43He's just not as good as a route runner.
33:45People are saying, like, he can run routes. I'm like, yes, he can run routes better than John Ross.
33:51But John Ross could not run routes at all.
33:54So, that's like, yeah, he was better than zero.
33:57But that's still not great. And then when you're undersized and you wanted to play like Tyreek Hill.
34:03Because people kept saying, well, he can be in the Tyreek Hill role.
34:07Tyreek Hill was an ex-running back. Tyreek Hill was rocked up.
34:10Yeah. It's just, we got us. Tyreek Hill is one of these legends that we're going to talk about.
34:16We're going to do it every year. People are going to do it every year.
34:21Yeah. He was an outlier. It's probably not going to happen again for a while, you know.
34:26So, it's just, I want zero part of it.
34:29He said every opportunity to break out. Every opportunity.
34:32And it just has not happened. Even player, every other person that we've set on this list, maybe Marvin Harrison Jr.
34:39There's been reasons to project upside. There's just not, that's not been there for Worthy besides he's fast and been with Mahomes.
34:46That's it. That's the only good things in his profile.
34:49I'm just, I just, I don't want any part of this, of Worthy.
34:53I've, I've never had shares of Worthy. I had this, hey, this isn't good.
34:57I had A.D. Mitchell ahead of him. Let's put it that way.
35:01I'm not saying I'm right. I mean, you might not be wrong.
35:05Never, never wrong just early. I mean, maybe. But, uh, Xavier Worthy, when it comes to Dynasty ranking, my rankings are pretty similar to the Dynasty market evaluation.
35:14But that doesn't mean, like, I'm trying to go, like, get him in any way.
35:19Like, I'm not that interested in Dynasty. It's more just, like, he's still playing with Patrick Holmes, and I guess there's a chance.
35:26You know, that's, that's basically what's left. I'll say, like, I'm getting a little bit of exposure to him in best ball
35:33just because of the Rishi Rice situation. Like, there's a possible one year, you know, boon in value just for specifically this
35:40season while Rishi Rice possibly deals with some stuff, you know, that he's got going on right now.
35:45And the price is pretty cheap over there. But, like, in Dynasty, I don't want to go send assets to get him
35:52on my Dynasty team and have him there and then have to deal with off, putting, you know, offloading him at some point.
36:00Physically clicking. Yeah. Yeah, best ball, you can just, like, oh, I did that.
36:04I never have to get him on my mind.
36:07Yeah, I have a little bit of exposure there.
36:10After the season, it's all gone, whether it works out or not.
36:13In Dynasty, I don't want to actually be getting this guy onto my teams and then having to deal with that years down the road.
36:21Dynasty, sex with a coworker. Best ball is sex with a stranger at the club.
36:26I never have to see this person again. What a great note to go out on, Jagger.
36:31I always love having you on the show with me.
36:35Before we get out of here, remind everybody where to find you.
36:38Find all your stuff. I'm exclusively over at Rotowire.
36:41Now I do everything. Best ball, Dynasty, redraft. Right now I'm heavy.
36:45It's like what you were saying earlier. I'm in everything mode.
36:48Dynasty, best ball, it all matters. And then pretty soon we're going to hone in on redraft.
