1:28If you wanted to call me an SEC homer, I almost said Big Ten.
1:32If you want to call me an SEC homer, I'd be cool with that because, quite frankly, I think it's still the
1:40best conference in the sport of college football with sending the most players year over year to the NFL draft.
1:46But today we're talking about the Big Ten. Big Ten preview.
1:50We talked about the SEC on Tuesday. That show ran a little bit long.
1:55I want to get back to the roots, which is the 10-minute show.
1:59Set the timer. Set the timer for 10 minutes.
2:02I'm talking over myself as I'm trying to get out the door on this beautiful Thursday to head back to Minnesota for a little festival, concert weekend.
2:11Kind of my last little trip or vacation, I guess you'd say, before the season begins.
2:17It's only a two-day weekend. But we're not here to talk about that.
2:21We're here to talk about what the Big Ten looks like in 2026.
2:26Click the like button. Click subscribe. Let's jump into it.
2:29The Ohio State Buckeyes lost four massive players to the NFL draft this year.
2:34Carnell Tate, Arvel Reese, Sonny Stiles, Caleb Downs. How will they backfill?
2:38Indiana lost their starting quarterback. They went out and got Josh Hoover from Texas Christian University to come in and be their starting quarterback.
2:46We did not get to see him at the Manning Passing Academy a couple of weeks ago, just like we did not
2:53get to see Fernando a year ago because Cignetti wanted to keep him in the building, learn this offense, get things dialed in.
3:01Omar Cooper got into the first round as well, the wide receiver from Indiana.
3:06We'll see if Nick Marsh, transferring from Michigan State, can go help him do the same thing that Mendoza did.
3:13Oregon had a couple of guys, a safety deal in Thinaman, a Kenyon Sadiq, a tight end that was a freak last year.
3:20USC added one in Makai Lemon. Penn State had Oliva Vega.
3:24Uwane. Those are the big names that departed. Now there's a ton more we can talk about, but we're talking about 2026 now.
3:32New faces, new places, next up, what now? Who are the big names that you need to know when we're going into the 2026 season in the SEC?
3:41To be quite frank, I think this centers around Oregon, Indiana, and Ohio State.
3:46I do like that USC is still in this kind of sleeper spot.
3:50They haven't really done a lot. They haven't really proved a lot.
3:54USC is plus 1,400 to win the Big Ten this year.
3:58That's fourth. The Big Three, Ohio State plus 185, Indiana plus 270, Oregon plus 280, according to FanDuel.
4:04Before you have that drop-off down to USC, a plus 1,400, Michigan plus 1,500.
4:09Then you have Penn State with brand new head coach Matt Campbell via Iowa State comes in sixth in the Big Ten odds to win the conference.
4:18Washington, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska falls off. USC, though, I do believe is the best sleeper that you can put a
4:26dollar on going into the 2026 season. The quarterback returns, Jaden Maiava, Wayman Jordan's back in healthy.
4:31King Miller's back in this backfield running back position.
4:34The wide receiver, we saw Tanuk Hines break out last year as a true freshman.
4:39They got Caden Dixon Wyatt in there, formerly committed to Ohio State.
4:43He's going to be a true freshman. Then they got the million-dollar man, Mark Bowman, at tight end to come in there.
4:51He's going to start off the rip. This guy is making north of a million, potentially two million.
4:57The numbers are officially unofficial, but big-time recruit Mark Bowman is.
5:01This is a Brock Bowers-level player at the tight end position.
5:04I think USC is an interesting spot after another big recruiting class this last year.
5:09Jakeem Stewart was one of the top recruits two years ago after reclassifying.
5:14Luke Waifel was my top overall recruit in the 2026 cycle.
5:18He is at USC. USC, there's a lot of talent that is backfield into the Trojans' offense and defense.
5:24Talanoa Ealy, a freshman linebacker that I think can get some important snaps.
5:28It's a very underrated team because you ask, well, they're not expected to really make any noise in the Big Ten.
5:35I think they can make noise. Now, they're not quite to the level that I think Oregon is.
5:42I think Ohio State is a little overrated for what they are, plus 185, but Ohio State is really tough to really
5:49argue or battle against Ohio State when you're returning Julian saying and Jeremiah Smith.
5:54You're going to get looked at like you have four eyes and an asshole for a nose if you say Ohio State is overrated, not good.
6:03But the fact of the matter is this defense should regress a little bit.
6:07There's question marks on defense. On offense, it's not.
6:10It's Bojack. It's Julian saying the offensive line is improved and returning.
6:14Chris Henry is going to compliment Jeremiah Smith. Brendan Innes should break out.
6:19Brock Boyd lost his black stripe sooner than anybody else in the program's history.
6:23Kyle Parker comes up from LSU with Cortez Hank at the wide receiver position.
6:28It's Ohio State. You don't need me to tell you everything about Ohio State because you know how good this roster is.
6:36I do have some questions, though, about the mesh of this defense.
6:40I believe in Matt Patricia. I believe that Christian Allegro transferred from Wisconsin to Ohio State was the right move.
6:46Quay Russo, another transfer from Alabama to this Ohio State defense.
6:50I thought, man, we should talk more about Alabama on Tuesday.
6:54Quay Russo is a guy that should be coming off the edge for Ohio State this year.
7:00We'll see what role. But he's a guy that you could circle and say, you know, he's not going to be Arvel Reese.
7:07But, you know, the Arvel Reese before everyone in America learned who Arvel Reese was, a little more tame in the pocket.
7:15That can be what Russo will be this year for Ohio State.
7:19It's a very interesting defense. My favorite to win the conference, though, is Oregon.
7:24I do think Oregon is the favorite. We did not see Dante Moore at the Manning Passing Academy either.
7:30Oregon returns a lot. The dynamic duo in the backfield this year.
7:34Makai Hughes didn't work out. He goes back down south.
7:37I think he's at Houston now. De'Ear Hill and Jordan Davison, two sophomores.
7:42The best young duo. There's three really good duos in the sport right now.
7:47Ahmad Hardy, Jamal Roberts. Relique Brown, Hollywood Smothers. And for my money, Jordan Davison, De'Ear Hill.
7:52That's like the top three duos in the sport right now.
7:56De'Corey and Moore and Evan Stewart's one of the best duos at the wide receiver position right now.
8:02Jalen Lott they bring in from Texas as well.
8:05Gatlin Bear, high school in Texas. Gatlin Bear, a 10-second, 100-meter guy at the wide receiver position.
8:11Jeremiah McClellan returns for redshirt sophomore season. With Dante Moore, who's top three in Heisman odds right now.
8:17Top three and number one overall pick odds right now.
8:20The big portal addition, I guess you'd say, in the offensive line was Michael Bennett.
8:25The third comes from Yale. Texas was in on that battle.
8:29I think it was Texas and Oregon. That was really what it came down to.
8:34He ends up picking Oregon. On the defensive side of the ball, it's Mateo Yungalele.
8:39That's going to be their leader. Bear Alexander returns again.
8:42Amore Washington. This should be a dominant front. And behind that, Coy Parrish, one of the top 10 transfer portal additions of the offseason from Minnesota.
8:51A safety was a freshman All-American. Is now in this defensive backfield with...
8:56So we experienced a flood in our basement. There was a plastic cap on a metal pipe.
9:01Just know it was bad. To fix, clean, renovate, and reorganize the basement felt like a totally impossible task.
9:08And that's when I learned about TaskRabbit. Just pick a trusted tasker and the taskers are often available to help the same day.
9:15These taskers are unbelievable. The way they can label everything and organize everything.
9:20You can search for a tasker based on cost, skill set, availability, and past client reviews.
9:25So you know exactly who's showing up and can have confidence that they know what they're doing.

9:52If it ain't broke, don't fix it. That sounds right until you actually do the math.
9:58For most businesses, shipping is that thing. What's it actually costing you?
10:02Because if nobody's questioning it, it's probably costing way more than it should.
10:06Because most businesses are overpaying on shipping without even realizing it.
10:10So ShipStation automatically compares rates across UPS, USPS, FedEx on every order with savings of up to 90%.
10:16Everything from order management to inventory and returns is centralized in one platform.

10:45That is ShipStation.com, code PLAYER. ShipStation.com, code PLAYER. Taxes and fees apply.
10:49A number of studs. A number of studs. That like, I mean, I could list them all off, but it's defensive backs.
10:57Do you really care if I name off Carl Williams IV and Brandon Finney?
11:02Is that the top of your, I mean, I can list them all, but you get where I'm going here.
11:08Oregon's my favorite. Offensively, they're going to be able to go toe-to-toe with Ohio State on the defensive side of the ball.
11:16I think their front four, front seven is going to be better than what Ohio State brings to the table when the season does kick.
11:24The big names, the big new names that I didn't mention.
11:28I brought up who? I brought up Chris Henry Jr.
11:31at Ohio State. True freshman. The son of the late Chris Henry.
11:35Mark Bowman, the million-dollar man at tight end. Stud at USC.
11:39Should start off the rip. At Washington, I think there's a chance that you get Cody Green, in there starting on the offensive line.
11:47He chose Washington over a number of big opportunities at Alabama, at Texas.
11:52He should have an opportunity to play and or start at one of the tackle positions.
11:57Probably left if he can beat out Dietrich. He's the other one.
12:01And then at Michigan. Michigan, we haven't really talked about.
12:04Michigan got a lot of negativity during spring practices because Underwood supposedly did not look good.
12:10The quarterback, the sophomore quarterback, Bryce Underwood, supposedly didn't look good.
12:13We'll see. I think he's good enough. They brought in Braden Fowler, Nicolosi from Colorado State.
12:19He's been there for four or five years. He transfers into.
12:23That's very interesting because he's a very competent quarterback.
12:26Leaves me question behind Bryce Underwood. Would they potentially pull Bryce Underwood if it does go south?
12:31If he's throwing 50% completions like we heard in spring camp.
12:35Jordan Marshall, Savian, hitter. Very good, formidable duo in the backfield.
12:39The hitter is a 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 20, 100 meter guy next to Jordan Marshall who kind of reminds you
12:46a little bit of the younger dynamic Blake Corum.
12:49Andrew Marsh broke out last year. They got Jamie French, former five star who committed to Texas.
12:55Didn't really do anything at Texas. Transfers up to Michigan.
12:58Michigan's going to be good. They almost lost a couple of offensive linemen that they kept.
13:04Andrew Sprague, Jake Gorana, Blake Frazier. When the whole coaching change happened and Kyle Whittingham came in, it seemed like they potentially
13:11were going to lose the uprooting of that offensive line.
13:15It didn't. And on defense, they brought in Smith Snowden to kind of play that nickelback position from Utah with Whittingham.
13:22Who was the nickelback a couple of years ago from Michigan?
13:25It wasn't Peppers. It wasn't Jabril. Somebody else. They also brought in John Henry Daly, I think, came over from Utah as well on the defensive line.
13:35Michigan's going to be good. They're a 9-8, 9-1 win team.
13:388-1-2, 9-1 win team. They're going to be fine.
13:41I don't think they're going to be able to compete with the Ohio State's, Indiana's, and Oregon's of the world, though.
13:48USC, fringe, could get close. I think there's a chance.
13:52I like Mayava quite a bit. I like Mayava more than most.
13:56We're at the 10-minute mark. We haven't talked about Penn State.
14:00We haven't talked about the floor of this conference.
14:03Penn State just simply has too much to talk about.
14:06The best way to think about it is this is an improved version of what Iowa State was.
14:12You got the guts of Penn State with kind of the flash of some Iowa State with it.
14:18Rocco Beck is your quarterback. Some nice transfers along the offensive and defensive line.
14:23Penn State's going to bounce back. They're going to be an 8-win team this year.
14:28We'll see in 27 if they take that next step forward.
14:32I'm Cody Carpenter. Appreciate you guys. Love you guys.
14:35Big 10. We'll be back next week. Will we talk about the ACC and the Big 12?
14:40Maybe. Or maybe I'll just jump right into summer scouting.
14:44We'll see. Hey, it's Ryan Reynolds here from Mint Mobile.
14:47Now, I was looking for fun ways to tell you that Mint's offer of unlimited premium wireless for $15 a month is back.
14:55So I thought it would be fun if we made $15 bills.
14:59But it turns out that's very illegal. So there goes my big idea for the commercial.
15:04Give it a try at mintmobile.com slash switch. Up-round payment of $45 for three months, $90 for six months, or $180 for 12-month plan required.
15:13$15 per month equivalent. Taxes and fees extra. Initial plan term only.
